In step2 , i have included the job definition to send mail. with below parameter.

  • How to send a job log/Spool once the job completed in an other Jobchain

I have a Jobchain which raises events when Job goes to status error.
After that a job starts which sends a mail. In this Job I have the parameter:
    raising_job_id:
=waitEvents.NSN_JOB_ON_ERRORO.raiserJobId so I can pass the Job ID and send it in the mail.
But how can I also pass the Joblog of the errorjob to the sending mailjob ?
relative_job_id and loblog parameters from system_mail_send job does not work because it's not in the sam Jobchain.
Do I have to use some pre/post running actions ?
I'm not familiar with Java programming
    Br
    Uwe

    Hello,
Then this is your lucky day! Since you already have enough knowledge to get the job id from the raiser event you are already half way there! This is because the System_Mail_Send job also understands an arbitrary job id as a RelativeJob. So if you pass the found job id into the RelativeJob parameter and * into the JobFile parameter all output files from the failed job will be send out.

  • Confusing error message in job log of infocube loading job

    Hello,
I executed a job which runs a process chain. The process chain has two important steps: It extracts tranaction data from a planning area in an infocube and it loads APO-relevant master data (materials, plants) from R3 system in the same infocube.
Almost every step of this process seems to be executed correctly. The loading process ended successfully. But the spool of the job is a bit confusing:
Loaded CVC's are all listed and appear with a green traffic light. Master data appear with a red traffic light and with the comment: Product xxx does not exist. The same with the location.
Does anybody know why the signals are red in this case.
In APO and R3 all listed master data are available - in the planning area as well as in the infocube after the data loading.
So, I am very confused about this message text in the spool because everything seems to be ok....
    Thanks in advance
    Best regards
    H.Becker

    Hello Heinz,
First of all, we need to be sure regarding which step the particular log correspoinds to.
You mentioned that your process chain has 2 steps.
Do you know how to look at the logs for a particular step of a process chain?
Go to RSPC, double click on your process chain, and then click the log button at the top?
You would now be in the log view. Then double-click on the step no.1, and see the information contained in the central tab named "backg". Does this contain the errors corresponding to you reds (that location or product does not exist)?
If not, repeat the same step for step 2.
Once you are sure regarding the step against which you are getting your error, please share soe more info regarding the step.
Then we could look further into the possible cause.
PS: Your first message itself was very confusing. You mentioned that you get transaction data from planning area to the cube, and you also get CVCs (location/products) from R/3 source system to the cube. This is very confusing.
    Thanks - Pawan

  • Start job on server B when job is finished on server A

    Hi,
like the subject already explains: Does anyone know how to schedule a job on server B (= BI server) that only starts after the successful end of a job on a different server A (= ERP server).

    > like the subject already explains: Does anyone know how to schedule a job on server B (= BI server) that only starts after the successful end of a job on a different server A (= ERP server).
With the default scheduler (SM36) this is not possible - but you can use the external Redwood scheduler, which is free of charge if you have a Netweaver license.

  • Job log messages in BPM

    Hi All,
I am doin Business Process Monitoring for monitoring batch jobs of a satellite system so that we will be getting tickets when some job is cancelling.
for cancellation of jobs SD tickets are generating.
now the requirement is to genarate a SD ticket for the successful job completion.
in BPm we have one option as "job log messages" in Background job monitoring type.
can we do it from there? How will the information be displayed in the ticket for job completion?
we are defining some threshold values also in that option. how those threshold values will help in generating SD ticket.
can anyone please suggest some idea.
    thanks
    Tripti

    Hi,
You can monitor job log message with Business Process Monitoring in two ways (for an alert description see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_smehp1/helpdata/en/99/b45f54119044f19d389b2cad3430bc/frameset.htm)
    a) Error messages:
Use case: You want to create alerts/notifications if background job creates more than N error messages in the job log.
-> Use the upper limit for yellow/red alerts.
-> Example: Job canceled ->monitor message of class 00 and with ID 564 (type A)
    b) Success messages:
Use case: You want to create alerts/notifications if background job creates less than N success messages in the job log (Usually you want to watch the create of follow documents or the successful update of documents)
-> Use the lower limit for yellow/red alerts
-> Example: Job finished without error -> monitor message of class 00 and with ID 517 (type S).
In both cases you will get a green rating - but no notification - if conditions for yellow/red alert are not met. Notifications (manual and automatic creation) are allowed for yellow and red alerts only.

  • Suppress job logs

    Hi,
I want to suppress the number of job logs created.
I am using the function module 'Archive_Write_Statistics'.
In that function module there are 2 parameters 'Statistics_only_per_file' and 'Statistics_only_per_run'.
These 2 parameters are used to suppress the job logs created.
When i do this it creates hundreds of pages of job logs.
I want to restrict it only to a couple of pages...
    kindly suggest me a solution...

    Hi Alik,
I have strong doubts that this will work ...
From SAP notes 842767 and 901004 you can see, that spool data will not be converted properly by default.
In general this is valid for data stored in TemSe, as this is by definition temporary data (see for example http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/d9/4a8f9c51ea11d189570000e829fbbd/content.htm ).
However I actually did not test it, so I am not 100% sure.

  • Sending log files for scheduled jobs as attachment through mail

    Hi All,
Can any one please help me out to write a pl/sql program to send log files for scheduled jobs as attachment through mail.
    Thanks.

Why would anyone do that as this code has already been posted here a thousand times, it is all over the Internet, and the only thing you need to do is to search for it?
I agree it would cost you some effort, but you are getting paid for it, and we are not getting paid for delivering it on a golden plate on your doorstep, as you can not be bothered to use online resources.

  • How to send Notification mail (with attachement) from On-Demand job

    Hi Experts,
    I am using SAP IDM 7.2 SP8.
Requirement is to send a notification mail to a specific mail address [email protected] whenever we run a on-demand job.
On-Demand job should also attach a csv file (atttachement.csv, which is in a specific folder D:\folder) while sending the notification mail.
    Please help.

    Hi there,
It sounds like you have the basics all together. I would check how you are setting the following parameters of uSendSMTPMessage:
    Attachment
Optional. Fully qualified file name of a file to be included as an attachment.
Multiple attachments can be added by separating the file names by a pipe character (|).
    AttachmentType
    Optional. Valid MIME attachment type.
    Charset
Optional. Valid ISO character set identifier, for instance ISO-2022-JP. The default value is ISO-8859-1.
    HeaderEncoding
    Optional. 0: Plain text, 1: Base64. Default: 0
    TransferEncoding
    Optional. 1: 7bit, 2: 8bit, 3: Quoted ASCII, 4: Base64. Default: 4.
Sorry the first row got mangled a bit.

  • When job hunting, can I attach a PDF of my resume from iBooks to on online job application?

When job hunting, can I attach my resume as an iBooks PDF to an online job application?

Employers tend to have little patience with inconveniences job-hunters impose (sorry, but I am trying to speak as employers do).
If you attach sometihng other than an MS-standard Word document that easily and cleany opens in MS products, they may lose patience and not give your application much attention.
Also, most employers read the first page of a resume and hiding "gems" at the end will only hurt you.
Again, just speaking as employers think.

  • How to activate job log creation when WPxx dies

    Hi all,
Allmost daily one of our SAP work processes dies at OS level.
This leaves some locks open, which freezes the (productive) system for about 10 minutes.
Unfortunately, no OS log is created of this dying WP job.
SM21 only tells us that a WP died, not why.
So no root cause analysis can be done.
