I have a report dept_emp, what i want is to sequence each record fetched from DB according to each department as following:

and so on
i make an feild that count each record but the result(not like above) is like follwing
dept1

1 emp1
2 emp2
dept2
sq
3 emp1
4 emp2
dept3
sq
5 emp1
6 emp2

The field that counts each record should be put in the detail group and reset at the level of the master group

How can I make a synced audio track match the length of selected clips in a multicam seq?

I have a continuous multicam sequence of about 13 minutes containing a synced master audio track recorded from seperate microphones. I want to rearrange scenes from it into my final sequence, but when I select a range of clips to nest the entire length of audio gets pasted into the new sequence. I want to trim the audio to match just the clips I've selected but not lose sync. Is there a way to do this or is nesting not the way to chop up a sequence and rearrange the scenes in it?

Me too!!! I have a multicam sequence from 2 cameras with the audio staying on camera 1. I also have a seperate, continuous audio track recorded from microphones which I have synced to the timeline. I'm trying to select a group of sequential clips of different camera angles from the timeline to create scenes which I can insert into a final sequence but in a different order from how they are on the timeline. Let's say I want to take a series of clips that start at 3:30 on the timeline and go until 4:30 on the timeline. It will contain several cuts between the different cameras and I want to use that section as the first scene of my new sequence. If I select all of the clips in that time period and nest them into a new sequence, I only get the audio from camera 1 on the new TL. If I try window selecting those clips to include the continuous audio track, I get a new TL with 3 minutes and 30 seconds of the desired audio, then the video clips, and then the rest of the audio making a 13 minute TL. I just learned, after searching around, about marking in and out points on my multicam seq. and using the trick of "LIFTing" and then "UNDOing" to keep my multiseq intact, and then pasting into a new sequence. That works, but I'm only getting the audio track from off the camera. It won't select and lift the section of the other audio track that I want. I'm rushed for time so that's the way I've ended up finishing the video for now. The camera audio is just going to have to do although the mic recording is much better. The more I try to explain this the more confused I get and I'm sure everybody reading it does too. Any ideas? Thanks!

New version no longer generates .cnt, .fts, or .hlp files?

Hi! I inherited a project to update a Help application that hasn't been touched in 7 years. I'm not sure what version the old one was in, I think it might have been 5, but I'm using Robohelp HTML version 7. It seemed to convert my files fine and I've made my changes. These are the output options I have available:
WebHelp
WebHelp Pro
FlashHelp
FlashHelp Pro
Microsoft HTML Help
XML Output
The developer who links to the Help application from his program is looking for three files ending in .cnt, .fts., and .hlp. When I outputted mine to WebHelp (which is what I normally use), these three files were not created. I researched the .cnt, .fts., and .hlp file types and discovered that they all seem to be opened primarily by Microsoft Help applications. This made me think that maybe I should be outputting the files as # 5, Microsoft HTML Help. Alas, none of the three required files were generated using this output method, either. For good measure, I tried publishing the files as each of the 6 output options but no luck, the three required files were not generated using any of these methods.
This is making me think that maybe in the last 7 years, Robohelp has made some changes and it's no longer possible to output .cnt, .fts., or .hlp files. Is this true? If so, I'll have to get the developer to change his code to point to some other file type, perhaps the Microsoft HTML Help .chm file. If it's not true, can anyone tell me how to generate these three files? Thanks!

What your developers are using is a WinHelp file. This is produced from the RoboHelp for Word application rather than the RoboHelp HTML application. Don't worry though as you still have this as part of Robohelp 7. Just look inside your All Programs list for it. It uses Word as the editor and produces the files your require. Of course your developer could also change the application to start using Webhelp which would negate you doing anything ;-)

You really need a newer Mac Mini with a true HDMI output, because that Mac Mini's DVI output does not support Audio.
You might try a 3.5mm to RCA adapter
from the Mac Mini's headphone jack to the TV's audio input,
but that would require being able to select the Audio input in the TVs menu while using it's HDMI input.
Optionally you could also use an external 2.1 Speaker System or patch the audio from the Mac Mini to your home stereo system to enhance that older Mac Mini's audio.

How to change a seq that has been used by a wrong page ?

Created a tabular form page but pointed to a wrong seq name, is there a remedy to this without recreating a new page with correct seq name ?

Create a new sequence starting higher than your current value (+ cache + a bit for safety if you're busy/paranoid) and then re-point anything using the "wrong" sequence.
You can spend hours of fun trying to "tidy up" already used/allocated numbers but it is risky and IMHO completely pointless. What does it matter - they're just managed unique numbers after all.

Crystal Report 11, List of Runtime DLLs, Runtime.hlp File

I am using Crystal Report 11 with my Delphi 7 application.
I need the list of runtime dlls which I will need to distribute with my application.
The Help file which comes with the Delphi 7 VCL Component (UCRPE32.hlp) says :

and make sure you have all the files.

I could not find the RUNTIME.HLP file in any folder/subfolders on the machine where Crystal Report 11 has been installed.
Can somebody tell me where I can find RUNTIME.HLP file or the list of runtime DLLs which is required to be distributed
along with my application(which is written in Delphi 7).

Hello Ramesh,
Business Objects does not support manual deployment of their runtime files. This started with the release of CR XI (v11.0). Please see [Business Objects Note 1218571|https://bcp.wdf.sap.corp/sap/sapnotes/display/0001218571] - How to distribute the Report Designer Component (RDC) in Crystal Reports XI for more information.
You may also want to review the RDC deployment article - [Creating an RDC Distribution Package|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/901c0761-cf1d-2b10-dea4-8e83937a9337] - that can be found on the SAP web site as well.
The RDC merge modules do not include the CRPE32.dll. Since you're using the VCL you'll probably have to add that file manually to your deployment package.
The merge module links in these articles have probably changed. Go to the [Business Objects Support Software Download|https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/bobj_download/main.htm] page to find the RDC merge modules.
Change the Selection Criteria to this:
Software Product: Crystal Reports
Product Version: XI, XI Release 1, or XI Release 2 (depending on your version of Crystal Reports)
Software Type: Utility
You should also be aware of the fact that the VCL is not being updated any longer. I think the XI (v11.0) version is the last one that will be available. Additionally, the Report Designer Component (RDC) has been retired with the release of CR 2008. Going forward you'll have to migrate to .NET SDK or the Crystal Report Java SDK.

How do I fix this error: DF024: Unable to preserve original file at ... Error 32 The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.(Seq 1352). ?

I am installing creative the cloud Illustrator desktop app on a machine with windows 7 64 bit running in a domain environment. The download starts and takes about runs for a bout 10 minutes and then stops with the error: DF024: Unable to preserve original file at "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CC 2014\Support Files\Contents\Windows\AdobeLinguistic.dll" Error 32 The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.(Seq 1352)
I am logged in as a network administrator and there are no other apps except a web browser (Chrome) running. There are no other users logged into the machine.
How can I see what other process is using the needed file so that I can fix it?

MelissaB34 it looks like you already are reviewing your installation log files but you can find more information at Troubleshoot install issues with log files | CC - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cc.html. From the error you have posted it appears that your current User account is either unable to update C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CC 2014\Support Files\Contents\Windows\AdobeLinguistic.dll or does not have sufficient file permissions to do so. Since you mentioned you are on a domain please ensure that you are working with your I.T. department and have correct access to this directory.
You may want to also consider logging in under a local administrator account to see if you face the same difficulties. This would help you determine if you are facing a file corruption issue or file permission issue.

RMAN Restore Error - media recovery requesting unknown log: thread 1 seq 7

Im using RMAN to copy a database to another server. The new server is IDENTICAL to the old one. By identical I mean it has the same sever name, ip address, operating system, Oracle version and directory structure.
The new server already has the instance created, (same name as the old server instance, paths etc)
The backup files have been manually restored to the new server, same locations as they were on the old one. ( RMAN did an automatic controlfile backup and also the archivelogs on the old server ).
Ive restored the control file on the new server from the RMAN backup pieces.
Ive catalogued the RMAN backup pieces on the new server.
I know the last sequence available in the archivelogs backup by running on the new server :

So far its all going swimmingly well.
Now I want to restore the datafiles and recover. So I ran :
RMAN run { restore database; recover database; alter database open resetlogs; }
This gave me the output below which goes great but I get a final error, I think the error is because its looking for an archive log thats not in the backup set, but it should be. However, I think SCN 560851 is for a log that hadnt been created yet on the old server when the backup was ran ?
How do I address resolving the error ? Its worth pointing out log, "archive log filename=C:\ORACLE\PRODUCT\10.2.0\FLASH_RECOVERY_AREA\SAT\ARCHIVELOG
\2011_05_11\O1_MF_1_6_6WOK1X4W_.ARC recid=10 stamp=750881741" isnt on the old server either which is why its not in the backup set.
I can do a alter database open reset logs but Id prefer to know why its failing.
Any help would be much appreciated.

You need to do incomplete recovery i.e. to ask RMAN to restore/recover to some specific point in time. This is usually done with some UNTIL clause or SET UNTIL statement. Example in your case:
SET UNTIL SEQUENCE 7;See http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/backup.102/b14194/rcmsynta065.htm#RCMRF160.

Export FCP seq in a way that will work on Windows Media Player (good grief)

Hello all (again).
Before getting down to business I wanted to thank “FxDude,” TopoTone,” and “governor” for their assistance to my recent posts. By the way- (to all) sorry for the double postings. I was in a time crunch and kind of panicked.
With that said- here’s my deal…
I’ve created a short (5min) commercial for a community college. The project was “dirty work” (which I think is the industry term for taking low quality video from multiple sources, cameras, and formats, and turning it into a single decent looking video). If it isn’t the term- perhaps it should be. Note to self – wow, that was way more work than I ever want to do again. Anyway, I digress. The video is done and looks great as a DVD playing on TV’s or projector etc. Cool? Cool.
Now, although the school will be using the DVD (in most cases) via the mediums of TV and projection, they have also informed me that in many cases, they will be playing the DVD on their various PC laptops and PC desktops alone – aka viewing the DVD on their actual computer screen. Of course, being a community college in California- it’s all PC and all Windows Media Player for them. Further, being a community college- they all run basic versions of WMP with no QuickTime or any other plugins that would facilitate many of Mac’s avi codecs, and they’re not allowed to download such things (at least on the machines owned and operated by the school). Poop I say… POOP!
Of course, as we all know- (in general) most “dirty work” SD videos formatted for NTSC look like dog crap when played on a computer screen (especially full screen modes) mainly because of interlacing etc etc. Since I worked my butt off trying to make crap look decent and succeeded, im sure u can understand my desire to not move back to crap.
What I need- (what I think I need?)
1. I need a version of the video that will play easily on a standard PC via a standard version of Windows Media Player.
2. I need it to look as good a possible.
What I know so far- (what I think I know so far)
1. I need to export a deinterlaced version of the original FCP timeline (sequence).
2. I need the final version to be .wmv file
What I don’t know- (pretty sure I don’t this)
1. What’s the best method of achieving the above? Currently, (based on what I do know and what I have loaded on my mac) I have three
options for achieving the above. FYI- I have a working version of the plugin flip4mac which offers a wmv export option in both my QuickTime conversion window as well as my compressor.
a. Export using QuickTime conversion > choosing wmv, and messing around with the settings to get the best quality.
b. Export using Compressor > choosing wmv, and messing around with the settings to get the best quality
c. Convert a high quality version of the video (perhaps h264 or some other good looking avi using mpeg streamclip to wmv.
My questions- (bless all of you for reading this far- good grief)
1. What’s the best way to do the above?
2. Is there a way, workflow, codec, setting, or religion I can use to get this done in the least amount of steps?
3. I’ve been told that there are some codecs that are by their nature deinterlaced- h264?, is this correct?
4. Based on my issue, what do you think I should do?

F = 720 x 480, AR NTSC DV(3:2). PAR= NTSC – CCIR 601 / DV (720x480), Anamorphic Checked, FD= Lower / Even, ET= 29.97,
Comp.= DV / DVCPRO-NTSC
Advanced Seq Settings
All same with the addition of quality set to Highest, Scan Mode = Interlaced, and AR set to 16x9.
Clip Settings = same as Seq settings

in the corporate world wee have to contend with clients who are all windows based and prevented from installing anything on their systems.
I use Flip4Mac, Studio Pro HD, with the following mix of settings;
Open clip in QT, I do also use compressor but for some reason I like using QT for exporting to WMV.
File/Export
Export:movie to windows media
Use: One pass VBR, Presentation (high), 16:9
Options>
Advanced... input type: interlace Lower field first(DV), output type: progressive
Coding method: Two pass VBR
Give this a shot and then tweak to suit your needs, oh and you can save your settings as a preset for QuickTime.
Within Compressor there is no export to WMV, so you have to start with another setting and create your own saving it for future use.

Based on the requirement , I have configured 2 access seq for free goods determination.
1. Customer/Material
2. Sales org/DistCh/Customer / Material .
The free goods determination is working fine when i use the first access Seq - . Customer/Material and when i use the 2nd access seq - Sales org/DistCh/Customer / Material free goods determination is not happening for both inclusive and exclusive .
Can any one help me on this issue , as i am not able to identify the issue .

Free-of-charge delivery is in Pre- Sales
If you are only doing a replacement for the material never create a sales order with RE as the order type, because upon processing this, this creates a credit for the returns which is like a credit memo. What I suggest is you GR the materials using a transaction in the MM side, this just allows you to monitor the movement of goods. And for the replacement do a sales order with order type SD, this is subsequent delivery free of charge.
A sales document, used in complaints processing, for delivering goods to a customer free of charge.
You can create a free of charge delivery if, for example, a customer receives fewer goods than ordered, or if some of the goods are damaged in transit. The system generates a delivery, based on the free of charge delivery.

I need to get the sequence file path in "SequentialModel.seq" before the "GetReportoptions" Callback is called.
I found that step "Determine Report File Path" in "Sequenctialmodel.seq" returns the sequence file path but i.e after executing quite a series of steps.
i need to get this sequence file path in the starting of "SequentialModel.seq".

Can anyone help to check if this seq can open/run in teststand2013 32bit?

this seq was created by V2014 32bit and saved as V2013(5.1X) format.
but it can't be opend in another computer with teststand 2013 32bit and shows error: "your file (saved with TS 2014) is incompatible with our version of Teststand (2013)"
I have to know if it caused by PC.
