Serial Validation PE12

I have installed PE12, started it and signed in. I am looking at the serial number validation screen and I have a message that says please connect to the internet to validate you serial number. I am connected, I've checked my firewall and still every time I click validate, it acts as though i'm not connected to the internet, but I clearly am because of this chat. I've spent the past 5 hours trying to install this program. Frustrated doesn't even come close!
What's worse is I can't talk to anyone. I'm currently 14 customers behind in the chat queue. This is unacceptable customer service.
If there's documentation telling me that I need to place the installer in the C: drive because it has the shortest path and doing that will prevent me from dealing with an error occuring in The Shared Technologies, I missed it. I spent 3 hours trying to figure that one out.
There needs to be better step by step and possible run ins clearly marked. I'm furous right now.
I need HELP. I don't know what to do. I'm staring at trial version bar across a paid for program and now I can't edit. What do I do to fix this -- I need help. I need to talk to someone from Adobe and resolve this.

I'm currently staring at a chat window that says I'm not currently connected to a chat rep after being transfered to tech support. If anyone from Adobe is reading this! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I'm kept waiting in the dark not knowing if someone is helping me or not. no communiciation, no checking back with me and for *U!K all, no phone call option. This is ... I'm am so effing pissed off right now!! It's now been 7 hours since I tried installing a program combo I spent over a $130 for. I feel absoleutely powerless and I need to get work done 7 hours ago. This is unbelievable!

  • Creative Cloud Membership for Photoshop asking for Serial Validation. Can't Access the Program.

    I purchased a Creative Cloud single-app membership for Photoshop and downloaded and installed it, but every time I try to open the application a window pops up asking for a serial number validation. If I click validate it says it can't connect to the internet, but my computer is connected. If I click "Connect Later" it loads for a brief moment then takes me right back to the serial validation screen. I can't get into the photoshop program at all. Now, if I understand correctly, I shouldn't need a serial number for it since it's a subscription, but I don't know why it's still asking me to validate it when I don't have one. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the program, and even talked to several agents, but 3 days after I've purchased it, I still cannot access the program. Please let me know what to do!

    We are glad you found your serial number. In the future if you have issues like this and you need to find your serial number for a non-creative cloud product,start by signing in to your Adobe account. On the Manage Accounts page that appears, all of your registered products and their serial numbers are listed in the Plans & Products section. For more information on locating serial numbers, or on registering a serial number, please see Find a serial number.

  • Reinstalling upgraded PS CS6 on new mac. Msg is Serial valid, not find suitable application

    Two years ago I purchased an upgrade to Photoshop CS6 & Lightroom and installed them on my mac laptop.  They have worked fine.
    Now I am trying to install PS CS6 on a new laptop, using the serial number registered with Adobe.  I receive an error msg
    that says my serial number is a valid serial number, but the installer doesn't find the application(PS CCS6), although the photoshop application version 13.0
    that I downloaded from adobe _is_ on my drive.  I also uninstalled PS before reinstalling, I also tried just copying from my old mac.  no luck.  Do you think the
    the problem is that I am using an upgraded product?  I did buy it!  Do I have to find the old version from long time ago and upgrade it on my new laptop?

  • Serial Key Installation for Mac

    Is there anyway to create an installation process that is similar in nature to MSI's on the Mac that includes serial validation?
    At the moment I have simple DMG files that copy the contents of the software to the application folder, but I now have a need for a serial key check before installation. On PC this is easy enough, but struggling finding a MAC solution.
    Any idea's?

  • Can't boot up - damaged hard drive?

    I've put all info here so hope it helps - 3 questions at bottom.
    My system:
    iMac G4 800MHz 80GB HD can't remember how much RAM but I think I'd put the max possible in it.
    Mac os: 10.4.11
    partitioned for 0SX and classic 9.9.2 (approx split 90%/10%)
    The problem and what I've done so far:
    The machine was running slow, then kept hanging. I checked and there was only 3GB free space so started to clear out some files (removing document files and Quicktime as I was going to reinstall it due to an error I'd received trying to open a movie file). The machine then either got stuck in a loop or hung trying to empty wastebasket. I moved some files from wastebasket to the desktop and moved a few at a time to wastebasket and emptied. Then it kept freezing, and I kept having to force a shutdown by pressing the power key for a few seconds.
    During all of the above there was no (and thinking about it there hasn't been for a while now) startup chime.
    I tried normal and safe boots and then reset the PRAM. Then it chimed on startup but wouldn't startup.
    I've tried starting up from the original OSX10.2 disks supplied with the mac and a OSX10.4.3 disk. Only the latter will boot but only occasionally when holding down the C key on startup. If it does boot up this way it freezes after I get about 20% of the way through using disk utility or I try to install the system software.
    Now either using disk utility or system software install, they do not recognise the disk.
    When trying safe, single user and verbose boots, after about (est) 2-3 mins I get after about half a screen of text ending with:
    diskOs10: I/O error.
    Invalid key length
    (4, 16111) -which I assume is the problem location on the disk
    ** volume check failed
    syncing disks... Killing all processes
    continuing
    done
    CPU halted -then the computer turns off.
    As I haven't opened the computer up at all, I was hoping that it was a software problem that could ulimately be resolved by reformatting and reinstalling system software but with all the forced shutdowns and restarts (including having to restart with mouse key held down to remove/change installer disks) I fear the worst and think the hard drive is terminal or an outside chance that the superdrive is somehow at fault.
    All of the above has happened in the last 24 hours.
    I would like to try to at least copy off my email messages (100's) before giving up and replacing the internal hard drive.
    Three questions:
    1. Is there anything else I can do to try to reinstall system software?
    2. I also have a MacBook (OSX 10.5.7) and a couple of LaCie 250GB firewire drives - is there any way I can hook these up or boot from the the MacBook or its DVD drive to see what's on the iMac G4 in it's current state?
    3. Is replacing the hard drive straightforward or should it be done by a pro? (back in the day I often switched and replaced internal hard drives in old beige macs 6100's and as recently as tower G3's/G4's but I haven't looked inside a iMac other than to add RAM.)

    Success! - this was my solution - it may help someone else avoid the three weeks of trial and error that I've been through.
    I tried an older version (3.0.2) of DiskWarrior without success (web info suggests I'd need 3.0.3 or later) but I had managed to create disk images (.dmg) of the old partitions using DiskUtility onto an external firewire drive which I could mount successfully. At this stage I could to see all of my original files so rather than upgrade DiskWarrior on a 'maybe', I bit the bullet and reformatted the disk with the same size partitions and names as before in the hope that I would be able to clone from the dmg files.
    I reinstalled OSX 10.3.4 and updated to OSX 10.4.11 to get back to where I'd started. I then tried using Carbon Copy Cloner to clone the disk images onto the new partitions but it kept crashing after a few hours. I also tried cloning to another IDE drive in another G3 (running 10.3.9) which also crashed. This left me thinking that the original problem had been that the hard drive was somehow in a knot and the 'knot' was still contained in the dmg file.
    When I reinstalled OSX 10.3.4, I couldn't avoid using the setup assistant but as I didn't know a lot of the settings (I guess there are ways of getting this info from the dmg file but I didn't know how to and also, I wasn't sure if using OSX 10.4.11 settings in OSX 10.3.4 would cause more problems) I just entered basic details, restarted and updated to OSX 10.4.11. I then ran Software Update which updated a number of items.
    I then used Migration Assistant to copy all of my settings and applications from the mounted .dmg file and it recovered most of my settings and applications. The applications work pefectly and didn't even ask for serial/validation details. I needed to spend an hour or two comparing two finder windows - one showing the mounted .dmg disk and another my new hard drive replacing newly installed Mail, Address Book and Safari files with the files from the .dmg file (Users, Preference and Application Support files etc), a restart or two later and it all appears to be working perfectly including all of my mailboxes, messages, contacts safari favourites etc .
    Amazingly, it's a 80GB hard drive that I know was pretty full (showing only 3GB free) when I had the crash, the .dmg file is 67GB but now only 43GB disk space is used! As far as I know I haven't left anything out that I had on the disk before but as it all appears to be working well I really don't care!
    I've already made new disk images!

  • Acrobat XI Standard qualifying product could not be found

    I purchased an upgrade for XI standard, installed it, have restarted the computer (although not necessary), I am clicking on the application "Adobe Acrobat XI Standard", there is a message saying "Serial valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer", so there are two fields on that window, right side is for typing the serial number, left side is a menu to actually choose the right product which corresponds to that serial number. So, in that menu there is no choice for "Acrobat XI Standard". What do I choose then? (Have never registered or bought products in the past).

    If you purchased it from Adobe, you can contact them and ask for a refund, since you haven't used it yet, assuming the purchase is just made. Once refunded you can buy the full product.

    I have made a silent deployment of Crystal Reports XI. Because i dont want the user to get the registration popup when crystal reports is started for the first time, i was wondering if i can disable it with a registry setting. (or a maybe there is a better solution)

    Depending on how you are running your silent deployement, you could just add the registration key to the registry at the end of your silent installation.
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 11.5\Crystal Reports\Keycodes\CR Pro] "Serial"="Valid 10 digit reg#"
    Since we have so many installations and we don't want every one of our users registering their products, we use this method.

    I set up MAC OS X server behind a router and hardware firewall. I used private IPs from 192.168.0.0 to 192.168.0.64 with mask 255.255.255.0. My DNS is working (reverse and forward). I can create keberos ticktes by using System/Libaray/CoreServices/Keberos.app.
    Does anyone know what that error messages say? How can I get rid of them.

    Verify if you have deliberately set profile "INV: Enable Bulk Serial Validation" to Yes.
    If yes, then you must ensure that serial numbering is uniform for the items.
    I believe you have entered serial numbers as 001 to 022
    But 00661 and 00662 are also present in the same subinventory "GSD-CAT A" and which fall in the same range!!!
    hence, though you mean to transact 22 serials, system finds 24 serials, and hence the error.
    You have two options:
    1. set "INV: Enable Bulk Serial Validation" to No.
    2. Have consistent serial numbers.

    Note: you can try loggin SR against oracle and get the code corrected in INV_SERIAL_NUMBER_PUB.update_msn
    so that while updating serial numbers, it also checks the length of serial number.

    You need to provide retails version serial number to avail the offer. Not available for Education, OEM serial numbers.

  • Receiving Issue

    We are having an Issue where the Drop Ship PO's if received from X1 login is received without any issues where as if we receive with X2 login, it goes into error QP price list error.
    Not sure what security level needs to be set for login X2.
    Please guide us what security level/setup needs to be done for receiving.

    The Error message is WMSINB-23482: Lot/Serial Validation failed. Please check log for details.
    If user X1 gives a serial number and does a receipt against the PO, then its not giving the above error message.
    If user X2 gives a serial number and does a receipt against the PO, it does a receipt but in Transaction status is shows the above error and the order line does not move from "Awaiting Receipt " to "Shipped"

  • What is "EWSMac.framework"? Virus?

    I keep getting this file with a folder full of contents and in my Trash every time I start up in a "Recovered Files" folder. There is also a file called "EWSMacCompress.tar.gz" along with it. When expanded, it reveals the same files that are in the Recovered Files folder.
    Does anyone have a clue as to what this is? I can't find anything that has the letters EWS on my hard drive to explain its presence and I am beginning to get paranoid that this could be evidence of a virus.

    Many shareware developers post this information on their web sites, or a warning stating something like "this product uses eSellerate" with a link to the full disclosure on the eSellerate site. This is warning enough, considering many applications install libraries they need for many reasons.
    As to 'unconscionable', I believe you are overreacting just a bit. You really should reevaluate the reality of how software applications interact with your computer. Pick any complicated application and research what gets installed on your system and you'll see that tones of libraries and support files, frameworks and system-level plug-ins are installed. Those folders are there for that very reason.
    Should all software vendors post a list of every file that gets installed on your system? It'd be nice for troubleshooting purposes at the very least, but it's just not important enough to worry about unless the application requires you to give an administrative password. You do make sure you trust the vendors of applications that require authentication, don't you?
    Besides, you say you'll add "this site" to a list of sites you'll avoid. This indicates you do not fully understand the point over which you're arguing. eSellerate provides sales and serial validation services for thousands of software vendors. They're an e-commerce solution provider specifically for small software authors. You'd have to evaluate each application you download to determine whether they use eSellerate and avoid *that author's* web site. Avoiding eSellerate's web site will get you precisely nowhere.
    My point is this: it's being rather alarmist reacting in this way, especially since this is the way most complicated software applications work and the operating system is designed to work this way (eg, it provides these folders / mechanisms for applications to use).

  • Just downloaded PE12 and paid and got serial number - Now problems with validation

    As mentioned in the title I have bought a license for updating PE 11 to PE 12. I received the serial number and I downloaded the program.
    Started the installation and when prompted to inset the serial number, which I do, I get the following warning:
    We are enable to validate this serial number for Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 - Please contact Customer support.
