Series calculation in baseoverride series

Hi Guru,
This might be a very basic question but still I need some explanation.
I have item rolling up to product category in my hierarchy. I gave a base override of 100% at the product category for an Org and when I checked up the disaggregation at item level, I found that the % split is 62%, 18%, 18%. I was expecting 80%, 10% and 10% based on the baseline forecast quantities. Does anyone know how the split happens in these series.
Thanks
Ram

Hi,
Usually % cahnge to base series is a non proportional series. That means, if you enter % cahnge to base as 100% at the product category level, same 100% would appear as override at lower level say item level. If it's a proportional series like base override series, than demantra uses the internal logic ( Pl refer the UG) to determine how much should be proportioned to the child levels.
Hope this helps
Thanks

  • X Series vs. M Series DDK

In 2009 I completed a project involving the M Series DAQ board NI PCI-6251. I developed a kernel module for PureDarwin. I developed a user space measurement controller based on the MHDDK nimseries/nimhddk_other. Worth to mention is a very involved work on self callibrating the NI PCI-6251, and I posted some questions and results in this forum.
Now I am going to start another project on FreeBSD. The kernel module is ready, and for prooving the concept, I testet the setup with an old NI PCI-6251, and everything is working so far. Anyway, I need to buy a new board for the new project, I am in doubt whether I should stay with the M Series technology or whether I should start the new project directly with a new X Series board.
    So my questions are:
Is the X Series DDK quite similar to the M Series DDK...?
... could I use most of my old M Series code with X Series, perhaps with some tweaks,
or would I need to start from scratch?
What would be the major benefits of X Series over M Series?
With  PCI-6251 I achieve in 2 AI channel multiplexing 500 kS/s. It would be good to achieve 1 MS/s for 2 AI channels.
I would also love to have more flexibility of AO full scale, the PCI-6251 got 5 V and 10 V. For one mode of operation I would need 100 mV.
Can I get this with a X Series board at more or less the same price tag as the PCI-6251 (let's say perhaps 50 % more)?
    Many thanks for any advises
    Best regards
    Rolf

    Hello Rolf,
The X Series and M Series DDKs are alike in concept, but very different when it comes to details. There are many differences between the M Series register map and the X Series register map. These differences at the lowest level mean that pretty much all of the register logic that you implemented for M Series will need to be changed for X Series boards.
You can find benefits and general information here:
    http://www.ni.com/xseries
Here is a listing of X series devices as well as their capabilities.

I would also recommend contacting a technical sales representative with your specifications. They will be able to recommend the right board.
    I hope this helps,

  • Stack Bar with floating series, invisible or transparent series

In Excel, I have several stack bar diagrams that have invisible, hidden series that make the remaining visible series appear to be floating.  What is the best way to do this in Xcelsius.  The only solution I have found is to use the "iTheme" theme, and make the invisible series the same color as the Plot Area.  Is there another method or theme?
I am not a fan of the "iTheme".  I have experiemented with other themes, but other themes' texture, gradient makes it impossible to fully hide the invisible series.
Is there another theme out there with a "flat", no gradient feel, with no shadow, or series border (or a series border you can control)?

hello Ultim4t3, maybe that's an issue with hardware acceleration - please try [[Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL|updating your graphics driver]] or in case there is no new version available at the moment or this doesn't solve the issue, disable hardware acceleration in the firefox ''menu ≡ > options > advanced > general'' (that setting will take a restart of the browser to take effect).

  • Series link and Smart Series

Until Sky stop prefixing programmes with the moniker NEW:, series link and Smart Series will not work because the planner thinks they are another programme.  E.g. last night UNDER THE DOME restarted, and was set in my Smart series.  Unsurprisingly, it did not record as the programme was called NEW: UNDER THE DOME.,...... Not technical, you can keep on rebuilding your planners all day, but the solution is obvious, except to Sky, no surprise there......

The 'new' issue (which was fixed I think in R010) never stopped programs recordings, it just mixed up the stacks if you had episodes both with 'New' and without. This has been fixed in the majority of cases.
Your issue appears to be entirely different. Did the next episode (ie last night's Falling Skies) appear in the Scheduled Tab at all and fail to record or didn't it put it in after last week's episode?
is correct in that it is up to the channels themselves what constitutes a series. For example, it is the BBC who has decided that the new Top Gear specials being shown are not part of the aborted series, so Sky boxes won't have picked them up automatically.

  • Least square circle calculation on a series of data points

I am taking a series of (x,y) part measurements that describe a circle  (radius & rotation angle). The center of the part and center of rotation are offset. Looking for code to do a least square circle calculation on this data set so diameter and out-of-roundness can be estimated. Platform LabView 8.2.

Here is my simple solution from the above mentione thread:
(Is it not exaclty "least squares" in the classical sense but the sphere fit works typically very well..)

  • Variation calculation without time series?

    Hi all.
I've got a pivot table like the one below. Time series is not implemented in the rpd, due to performance reasons. Is there a way to calculate the variation between two measures on two different dates in a pivot table (Difference column below), similar to what we achieve using the AGO() timeseries function. The dates are chosen by the user from a dashboard prompt, so I am not sure if calculated item would apply here and dynamic items ($1, $2) does not work too. The pivot table has more columns and rows than the example below.
    _________________Dates
    Product___01/10/11____02/10/11____Difference
    A__________10_________15___________5
    B___________8__________6___________-2
    C___________8__________8___________0
    Thank you.

    Hi,
By using $2 - $1 in the new calculated item under pivot table view.
    Ex:
    Name 3-10-2011 1-10-2011 diff
    dev 423 400 23
let say from date =1-10-2011 refer as $1
to date =3-10-2011 referd as $2
*$2-$1 will get any two date difference..fully automatically*
*100% it will work...i have also implemented the same*
    Thanks

  • Better approach time series calculations

    Hi,
I have a technical answer. In your opinion, to improve performances, is better calculate YTD, QTD, PY.... etc., values using Time Series functions available in OBIEE (YearToDatel, AGO, PERIODROLLING...) or put them in ETL Flow so OBIEE Server only must take results without any calculations?. Using OBIEE Functions the effort is less, but perhaps they create overhead for OBIEE Server so query time responses increase dramatically?
Have you an example showing queries to perform to calculate Time Series Functions without OBIEE functions, so I can insert them in my ETL flows?
    Thanks
    Giancarlo

    OK,
but it's better to have only one fact table containing columns for all measures I need (e.g. first column: YTD, second column: QTD, third column: MTD)... and so on (so i would have a LTS with only one Source table) or a distinct table for each measure (e.g. Table FACT_TABLE_A_YTD, FACT_TABLE_B_QTD and so on and combining them in a LTS having multiple Sources (FACT_TABLE (monthly), FACT_TABLE_A_YTD, FACT_TABLE_B_QTD)...

  • Fragementation with Time series calculation

    Hi,
    I have three 3 tables
    Table1 for Region 1 , Frag Logic =Region = Region 1
    Table 2 for Region 2 Frag Logic =Region = Region 2
    Table 3 for Region 3 Frag Logic =Region = Region 3
we use fragementation to query based on the region. Now i have duplicated Table 1 to calculate the Previous date for time series
    Table1 for Region 1 , Frag Logic =Region = Region 1
    Table1 for Region 1 Prev ?
    Table 2 for Region 2 Frag Logic =Region = Region 2
    Table 2 for Region 2 Prev ?
    Table 3 for Region 3 Frag Logic =Region = Region 3
    Table 3 for Region 3 Prev ?
After adding prev tables i am almost lost,Do i need to add the Fragmentation for Prev tables also ,else we dont need as main and Prev tables are created as Alias from the base tables. Please share your thoughts.

To use TimeSeries on Fragmentation in OBIEE, is identified as a bug

  • Scientific Calculator in Asha Series

Later all nokia's S40 phones comes with the scientific as well as standard calculator. But in the Nokia's Asha lineup the scientific calculator is missing.
So, can nokia add the scientific calculator in its next software update for Asha lineup.

There is scientific calculator app mentioned in this resource, although reviews in respect of Asha 311 have to date not been favourable: http://conversations.nokia.com/2012/12/04/the-nokia-asha-311-as-your-education-companion/

  • I own 2 ipods an ipod nano series 4 and ipod series 6 I want to store different tunmes on each ipod, but when I try to sync the series 4 with I tunes I get a message that says there is not enough space on my device.  How do I achieve what I want?

O wn 2 iPod nanos series 4 and series 6 I want to sync different music on each iPod but I get the message when trying to sync the series 4 that there is too much data for the sync to take place.  It seems both iPods have the same name, so I guess I have to rename one, how do I do this?
    Or is there another solution
    Any help appreiated
    Wighill 13

It would be useful to you if they had a different name, but the computer knows they are different. Create separate sync playlists for each device and go to the Music tab when it is connected and specify which playlist should be used for the sync.

  • Aironet 3600 series and Controller 4400 series

    Hi all,
Can Controller 4400 series work with Aironet 3600 series?

Are there any plans to have a 7.1 or 7.2 version for the 4400 controllers or does it not have enough processor/memory to support the 3600's
The 4400 does not have enough "grunt" (CPU power) and memory to support either the 7.1.X and 7.2.X firmware.
Since the announcement of the end-of-sale for the 4400-family, the only thing Cisco will release for the 4400 for engineering releases.  Cisco will no longer be releasing new-feature firmware for this hardware.

  • 1140 AP series vs 1260 AP series

    Hi all,
What's the main technical differences among the 1140 AP series and the 1260 AP series?
I know that the 1260 supports external antennas while the 1140 supports internal antennas, but apart from that, is there any other important difference?
Do they offer difference performances in terms of TCP throughput?

  • Migration of CUCM on UCS C series to UCS B series.

Planning a move from UCS rack servers to newer blades. I was wondering what the Cisco recommended method would be. I see allot of people saying that you should vMotion things over but also that there are allot of caveats with it. I have also heard some people recommend Cisco Prime Collaboration Deployment but I can't quite figure out how that would work. So I thought I would ask the community for it's opinion on the subject.
CUCM is on version 10.5, nothing will be patched or upgraded in the move just the guest OS will be moved over. Also, these platforms do not share storage, the C series have the guest stored local and the B series will have a SAN.

Yup, there it is in black and white, thanks.
By chance you wouldn't have a link to the proper method for moving a cluster do you? I know you move the pub first then the subs but I can't find a page that details the process.

  • MSI Z68MA-ED55, or Z68 series, support XEON E3 series processor?

    Hello,
does anyone know if the MSI Z68MA-ED55, or any other Z68 series, motherboard supports Intel XEON E3 series, like the E3-1275?
    Cheers

You should look through the product information in MSI website first. If the board supports, then the processor will be listed under their support listings, else it's a no. For more information on any other supporting processors, please contact MSI as per the link given by HU16E.

  • Adding M-Series to Existing C-Series

    All,
I'm thinking of getting a M-Series to get centralized reporting out of my existing C series.
When I add them to the M-Series do they lose their configuration (due to centralized management) or does the M-Series copy up their configuration for use going forwards?
I guess I'm asking how safe is it to add the M-series to and existing installation!
    Thanks,
    P

I don't know as I've only used the SMA to work with the WSA, but I looked through the manual a couple of times, and there's nothing there...
There is one telling difference in that the ESA boxes can be clustered, which may do config sync? (I only have one... )
