Server 2012R2 looses vEthernet switches and cannot stop a starting Vm.

We have three 2012R2 Host Servers in a Failover Cluster, there are 14 Hyper-V VM’s in the cluster.
Yesterday Host3 went down because 3 network adapters disappeared. That left 2 servers (Host1 and Host2) active (that’s sufficient to run all the virtual servers). But for some reason all the virtual servers automatically
moved to only one host server. One server cannot support all the virtual servers. However this server tried to run all the virtual servers which made none of the servers active. It showed all the vm servers “starting” but never “running”. By rebooting the
host server that held the VM’s, all the VM’s automatically moved to the other good host server and the same thing happened.
So here are the 2 problems that happened:
On Host3 three network adapters disappeared. And could not be recovered without re-installing the operating system. These are needed for the VM’s to run.
The adapters are created when virtual switchs are created in Hyper-V. The 3 are vEthernet (LAN Virtual Switch), vEhternet (iSCSI2 Virtual Network), and vEthernet (iSCSI 2 Virtual Network)
There does not seem to be any way of turning off a VM when it is in the “Starting” state.

That was probably caused by your Firewall blocking the newly installed version of Firefox.
No known security issues with Firefox 3.6.17, which was just released this past week.

License Server moved to different IP and cannot log in

We moved our License Server to different office location. The new office location has static IP and we'd like to set this static IP as our License Server IP for the clients to connect to. What I have done so far:
1. I opened port 30000, 30001 on the router (port forwarding).
2. In SAP Business One Server Manager > Setting > Connection Tab: I have changed the default Server Name from localhost to the static IP address and have ensured that the Port Number is set at 30000.
3. I have disabled all firewalls in both License Server and Clients.
Then, I made a test drive using my laptop.
1. I ran SAP B1 client.
2. I connected my laptop to the internet using LAN / Wifi connection in the office where the License Server is located.
3. In Administration > License > License Administration - I updated the License Server using the new static IP.
4. It works!
-----PROBLEM -----
I disconnected my laptop and re-connect using my 3G Wifi connection. I ran SAP B1 client to login and got this error message:
Enter IP Address or Server Name for the License Server
Connection with license server failed [Message 60070-15]
I have entered the correct IP address and still get the same error message.
Anyone can provide feedback where I did wrong?
* Please do not suggest Citrix, Remote Desktop connection as they are different from what I want to accomplish.

Hi Billy, here is the network structure in the office that has SAP License Server.
INTERNET------ASUS_ROUTER------SAP_LICENSE_SERVER (WITH PUBLIC STATIC IP PROVIDED BY OUR ISP example: 65.100.200.300)
Steps that I have done:
1. In ASUS ROUTER config: I reserved LAN IP 192.168.0.100 for SAP LICENSE SERVER
2. In ASUS ROUTER config: I set NAT settings / Port Forwarding so that any request on Port 30000, 30001 will be forwarded to the SAP LICENSE SERVER 192.168.0.100
3. I disabled all firewalls and anti virus at the LICENSE SERVER and CLIENT.
Now for the testing:
I connect my laptop to the internet using my 3G Wifi connection. I ran SAP B1 client to login. I can see the company database, I chose a company then I got this error message:
Enter IP Address or Server Name for the License Server
Connection with license server failed [Message 60070-15]
And a dialog is asking me to enter the correct IP for LICENSE SERVER. I entered the PUBLIC STATIC IP 65.100.200.300 provided by ISP. From here, my understanding is the client will talk to 65.100.200.300 then Asus Router will forward this to 192.168.0.100 which is the License Server.
Waiting arond 10-15 seconds that same error message show up and asking me to enter correct IP address.
I am not an expert in networking but I think I did it correctly, didn't I? Been working on this for 3 days and still can't figure out to resolve.

When im in photoshop drawing and i stop it starts drawing striaght lines

okay, When I go into photoshop to draw ill be drawing and then stop to do something like change the color, the size of the brush, what kind of brush, ect. and go back to drawing it doesn't free draw it just draws straight lines. I have another program where I edit videos and it lets me draw on there too but it doesn't do what photoshop does. I don't know if its just photoshop or what but it doesn't do it in any other program but photoshop. please help! thanks in advance!

Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 freezes and cannot access RDP

The system freezes every 15 minutes after a reboot. I am trying to capture some stats using procmon to see what is going on, but while I am working on it, it freezes so I cannot even save the file. Next, RDP does not work even when the system is up for that
15 minutes. Any idea what is going on? This behavior is only on this server. The last patch that this system should have is October. We are patching the November one's now.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

6700 Officejet Printer - cannot cancel and cannot stop 2-sided printing!!!!!!!!!!

Officejet 6700 - In Word cannot find way to stop it from 2-sided printing! Nor can I "cancel" a printing process. Going into the "Printer" does not give me the normal options to check what is in que or to cancel. In Outlook can cancel 2-sided, but is still coming up each time. Did not do any of this until past week.

I understand you are unable to remove duplex printing from Microsoft Word. First, I need to find out what version you have? Please indicate what year it is.
In the meantime you could reference this document on Disabling Duplex Printing in Microsoft Word. This document is referring to version 2007, but this could help resolve your issue.
If you are unable to cancel a "print process", then try this:
On your printer you can press the Red X. If this doesn't work, then unplug the power cord from the back of the printer. Plug the power cord back into the printer. You can also cancel the document from the Print Queue on your computer. Just go into the print command (which is your Print Queue) You should see a document, right click on your mouse and click delete.
Once I know your exact version of Microsoft Word I can assist you further.

I may have deleted files that had firefox running. Cannot find them, they may have been duplicates. When trying to start firefox got message telling me firefox was already running and had to stop the process or restart pc. Tried that numerous times with no result.

When I try to start Firefox, I get a message saying that Firefox is already running and cannot be re-started, so close down and reboot.

Following an upgrade of my OS from XP to Vista, I tried to point the new installation at my old profile. Now when I try to start FF, I get a message saying that it is already running and I should reboot to clear the problem. I've done that but the problem remains. I have uninstalled firefox and reinstalled v4 beta. The problem remains. Any ideas?

OK, I had moved the profile file inside the profile folder which was created when I installed FF, to the main FF folder. I then took the equivalent file which existed under XP before my upgrade to vista, and moved it into the new Profile folder. That's when I hit the problem described in the initial question.
So, what I did following Tony's response was to move the bookmarks password and cookies files into the profile created on the install. I then moved that file into the profile folder and moved the one I'd saved from XP, out to the main FF folder.
Started FF and voila! All working fine. Thanks for your help.

Why do i keep getting box: The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded.

When changing web sites, a dialog box pops up every time Saying "The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded".

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
* Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
* Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

Cannot stop getting email threads from this forum.

Had a problem with Safari crashing. Posted the problem and even though people tried to help the problem never got fixed.
Since then i get a notification copy of every email of every problem sent to the person I posted the question to.
Changed settings to no avail. I get 20-40 emails from this forum every day and cannot stop it!

Next time you see one of those emails, click vew full discussion. Once there sign in, then in the upper right hand conner click "stop email notification"

How to find the server connected from multiple switched netwtwork

They were 45 switches in netwrok and need help how to find that server connected switch from Core switch ?
How many mehtodes and process we can use to find that connected physical switch ?

It's a bit of a tedious process. but if you ping the IP address of the server from the core switch and then check the ARP entry to get its MAC address, you can then trace the address tables in the switches to find the switch that the server is physically connected to. Once you have the MAC address, you'll have to check the address table in each switch in the path between the core and the server to find it.

MSExchangeSA and IS is not starting automatic at reboot after upgrading the server from SP1 to SP2

I am running a 2 node DAG with separate Hub & CAS servers
I have already upgraded the Hub CAS server and they are fine
Exchange running on Windows 2008 R2 SP1
All are in VM-Ware ESXi 5.0
After I upgrade the mailbox server to SP2 the SA and IS service not starting automatic after reboot
If I run "net time /set" command and then restart ADtopology server, the IS and SA starts fine
But again after reboot they do not start
Also I get the below event in the app log when the IS & SA fails to start

If I check the Registry for time resource it is taking from the DC
I manually compared the time between DC and Exchange and it is fine
Since the Exchange mailbox is virtual, I checked the time sync on VM-Ware tools and it is "unchecked"
Checked for group policy and do not find any specific to time sync.
Confirmed that Windows Time service is running
Suspecting a Operating system issue, tried to upgrade the other DAG
Even that node is displaying the same symptom and Issues
Tried to install RU1 on both nodes and that too did not fix the issue.
Checked with VM-Ware engineer and he said that every thing from VM-Ware end is fine
Is Anyone have come across the issue before ?

Problem:
Unable to initialize the Information Store service because the clocks on the client and server are skewed. This may be caused by a time change either in the client or the server, and may require a reboot of that computer. Verify that
your domain is properly configured and is currently online.
Solution:
Open a cmd prompt from the Exchange Server as administrator (right mouse click on the command prompt shortcut and select “Run as Administrator”)
Run this command
Net time \\ADServerName /Set
Restart the Microsoft Exchange Active Directory Topology Service
*Important!! You have to restart the Microsoft Exchange Active Directory Topology Service or this fix will not work.. I tried just starting the Information Store service after running the command it it still failed..
This worked for me and all is well on my exchange server.

For me this happens when I have Zenfolio or Facebook open in Google Chrome, even if Google Chrome is not active. If you use Chrome, when the error shows up open Chrome and close each one of the tabs and click on the retry in Lightroom. Also happens if Internet explorer is running with either of these two programs.

Server 2012R2 Windows backup 100% CPU usage and no backup

I have a problem with two VM´s on a HP Proliant ML350p Gen8, that has Windows Server 2012R2 operating system with Hyper-V role installed.
Both VM´s are also 2012R2, one is DC/DNS/FILE/PRINT and the other one is Exchange 2013.
The problem itself is that, when Windows backup (wbengine.exe - Block level backup engine service) inside VM starts, it uses almost maximum CPU resource, so the VM´s CPUs are 100% used. Backup itself is not working, there is no network trafic. Only
way to get rid of 100% CPU usage is to restart the server.
When i start backup manually (Backup once - scheduled backup options), it is working and the CPU usage is around 20-30%.
One VM (DC/DNS/FILE/PRINT) has 2x vCPU and Exchange has 4x vCPU.
The problem started suddenly, the backup were performing slowly and failed.
Backups are scheduled on different time. Host level Hyper-V backup of VM´s works without any problem.
The backup location is Synology DS414 NAS and the servers are set up using iSCSI, for connecting separate backup lun´s for each server.
The Hyper-V host and both VM´s are patched up-to-date. Ofcourse i have tried a lot of restarts, looking event log, VSSADMIN - cannot find any errors...
The network setup:
Hyper-V host has a team of two physical adapters, that is set up with a external virtual switch (shared with management operating system) and used by the VM`s normal network trafic.
Hyper-V host itself is using separte physcial network card, for connecting with iSCSI to Synology NAS.
I tried to set up another physical network card on the host and create a new virtual swich, add extra virtual nic to VM`s and use this for iSCSI traffic for Windows backup and it didnt make things better.
I need to find a solution, because i cannot restart the server every night for the backups to work.
