Server level video generation

We are creating a website where we would like the user to
upload 6 JPEGs and an audio file (such as WAV) that the webserver
then creates an FLV video file from. This FLV video would slideshow
the images and play the audio that was uploaded along with it.
I know this is easily accomplished using Flash and
Actionscript, but we are looking to create an actual FLV video
because we need the ability (on a *server* level) to convert the
resulted video into other formats such as MPEG or AVI. Perhaps it
is possible on a server level to convert an SWF file with
actionscript instructions into an FLV file?
Does anyone know of any webserver-level software or way to
accomplish the above? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Bumping... i'm suprised that no one has requested this
before? Doesn't seem to be any solution to a simple server level
SWF to video solution?

Suppose I have a server-side component which generates video
on-the-fly. For example, it could be a component which creates a
short sequence of video from a fly through of a 3D model. I want to
be able to have a client browse to my website, click on a link and
view the video. Clicking on the link would create a new video from
the 3D model and stream it to a flash video player within the
webpage. I want the video generation to be done server-side.
Is this possible by writing a custom application for Flash
media server? Do I have to write this component in server-side
ActionScript or could I write it in C++ and some-how interface to
it from a server-side ActionScript application?
As you can guess, I'm a bit of a novice at all this flash
stuff but I'm working on a project which requires it.

Unless the video is completely downloaded to the iMac you can not rule out the Internet connection.
Since it plays all other video with no problem the downloading stream would seem to be the source of the problem.
I had cable modem and it is no guarantee of a fast connection. Also even having a fast connection on one end doesn't mean that the source of the video is pushing it all that fast.

How can I use Server level variables in a business model based report

hi gems..
I have declared one server level variable in the BI Analytics repository.
Now I have made one business model based report.
In one column I want to use that server level varible.
I go to the formula tab of that column and then clicked on variable--> session --> put the name of the variable and click ok.
But when i viewed the report, it is not showing the dates, rather it is showing the date format I chosed i.e DD-MMM-YYYY.
please help..

actually the previous problem got resolved...
Now when I am trying to apply a filter on a particular column using that server variable, then it is showing that the varible has no value definition.
I have clicked on the filter tab of that column-->add-->variables-->session variables-->then I put the name of the variable-->click OK.
the following error is comming-

I have made that server variable from manage-->variables-->(right click) create new initialisation block-->gave the name and wrote the query and aslo gave the connection pool name and test that and it worked fine..

Can I tell at server-level if a message has been displayed in the Reading Pane in Outlook?

Does anyone know if there are any traces at server-level (Exchange 2010) if a message has been displayed in the Reading Pane of Outlook 2010? The message would still be marked as Read in the recipient's mailbox.

If you want to know whether an email has been read by recipient, you can either request a read receipt or enable the tracking for read status for messages by using the
Set-OrganizationConfig –ReadTrackingEnabled:$True command.

Non-admin user cannot access Essbase server level variables

Version 11.1.1.3
Essbase Substitution variables are created at server level. Users are getting error in FR report that uses the Subsitution Variable -- Essbase Error(1051085): You do not have sufficient access to get this substitution variable. Also, users cannot access Substitution variable in SmartView. However, users can access variables created at database level. Users are provisioned as "Server Access" to Essbase and filter access to ASO application "MGTRPTG", where MGTRPTG is an ASO essbase application for reporting. We tried the same provisioning in two other environments and it seems to be working fine.
User is type "Essbase and Planning" provisioned with essbase "server access", application mgtrptg "filter", Reporting and Analysis "analyst", "dynamic viewer" and "Explorer". In addition, it is given a filter "REP_DME_GALB" which restricts 2 dimensions (Division and Geography).
Steps taken to resolve:
1. Existing users were deprovisioned and reprovisioned with no effect.
2. Created brand new identically provisioned users in Prod and QA. QA user can access the server level var and Prod user cannot
3. Created a brand new server level variable in Prod and this cannot be accessed.
4. All services have already been restarted several times.
5. SR has been opened.
Temporary workaround:
By creating a duplicate of the same set of variables at the database level, the reports work. This can only be a temporary workaround as the client cannot be expected to maintain two sets of substitution variables since there are 3 applications using these server level variables.

You have stumbled on a defect which is resolved in the Hyperion Planning 9.3.1 patch 6 and above. If you have your planning preferences set to indent members it will cause forms which have page selections to show as invalid in SmartView.
You can either patch Planning or turn off the preference. The patches are available from http://metalink3.oracle.com and require account which has been associated with your client ID.
P.S. Usually it's not a good practice to use the admin id.

Fnd_profile.save for setting APPS_FRAMEWORK_AGENT on server level

i can set APPS_FRAMEWORK_AGENT on user level using " result := fnd_profile.save('APPS_FRAMEWORK_AGENT',URL,'USER',usr.user_id); "
but this "result := fnd_profile.save('APPS_FRAMEWORK_AGENT',URL,'SERVER',Node_id); " does not work for setting it on server level.
Help from anyone will be much appreciated.

Can someone explain the FCE "Levels" Video Filter to me?

I need help with the FCE "Levels" Video Filter - I cannot find any documentation anywhere which explains precisely what this filter does and how to use it properly (Googling 'levels "input tolerance" "final cut express"' yields no results!!).
There are five sliders (Input, Input Tolerance, Gamma, Output and Output Tolerance) but playing with them, it's not obvious what they do or how they compare with the Photoshop "Levels" filter for still images.
In particular, I would like to map settings on a Photoshop "Levels" filter to settings on an FCE "Levels" Filter to achieve the exact same results in terms of adjusting the underlying images.
If this can't be done exactly, does anyone know of an FCE Filter which replicates the Photoshop Levels Filter.

It's not a very useful filter, and is not directly comparable to the Photoshop Levels filter. There is no histogram, which I consider essential.
Input & Input Tolerance lighten the image (they work together)
Gamma adjusts midtones
Output & Output Tolerance darken the image (they work together)
Problem is, you have to drop the sliders off their default settings to get them to work at all. Start by dropping the Input and/or Output sliders to 20. Then adjust the companion Tolerance sliders down to see the effect.
I think you'll have more luck with the Color Corrector filter, which has sliders for Whites, Mids, Blacks & Saturation. Among other things, you will find the numeric levels sliders more comparable to the PS Levels controls.

Which client jar are you using? The thin client or the wlfullclient.jar/weblogic.jar?
If you read this section of the JMS thin client docs, it discusses how thin client t3 urls are transparently switched to iiop and http urls use iiop tunneling:

However, I had one question about an action script that is in the following documentation:

In there in APPENDIX B is a script called webcache_action.scr. I modified this script to use in our environment to start and stop the http_server process. We have been having some problems with it...mainly when it fails over, it shuts down the http server, then brings it back up, then down again. This is happening in a production system so it's a big issue. My question is can you explain to me why that is happening and maybe also explain what the script is doing? Maybe I'm missing something. Do I even need to have the stop part in the script? All we need to do is when it fails over to startup the http server on the node, that's it! Any help would be appreciated.

Are you a 100% sure??? Because I'm definitely given the option to do this and there are even downloads to this effect, i.e. iPhone 3G ios 6.0. I am even given this option when I plug my iPhone into iTunes. The only problem I'm having is what I have mentioned above.

Lync 2013 Edge Server - Lync Server Audio/Video Edge Don´t respond

Hello, We have a Lync 2013 Infraestructure. (With Windows 2008 R2)
3 front ends servers (pool) and 1 edge server.
We have an issue with the edge server. Often we lost the Presence , IM and Audio/Video with external/federated contacts
We can´t chat or do any calls.
When we try to restart the service "Lync Server Audio/Video Edge" in the Edge, it never stop...
We try to kill the process MediaRelaySvc.exe without success.
The only way is to restart the server.
The server is up to date with the lastest hotfixes.
There are not events in APP/SYSTEM/LYNC logs in the event viewer.
Any idea ?

Please also check if there is any error message on FE Server.
Please make sure the CMS replication is update to the latest status on Edge Server.
Please make sure there is no other antivirus software in Edge Server as Anthony said above.
Please also double check the Edge certificate/DNS is setting suitable.

With purchased music videos they will not play, an error comes up"The requested URP was not fopund on thsi server", and video doesn't play?

I ahve purchased 5 music vidoes from iTunes and they will not play on my iPhone4. The error message that appears is:
"The requested URL was not fopund on this server"
I am not sure how to fix this so I can watch my videos?

It all depends on exactly how you move the library from one machine to the other. The database holding information about your library is normally in a folder called iTunes, with the media in a subfolder called iTunes Media. In this layout you can usually copy the entire iTunes folder from one machine to the other and it will work. If the media folder is split to a new location however then often the links to tracks will fail on a new computer.
You shoud find that the FindTracks script is able to repair the links in your library.
I'm not sure I know what is going on with the purchased music, however if you enable Edit > Preferences > Store > Automatic Downloads > Music you should be able to recover your past store purchases.

Hi!
There is no "transport request" in SAP ME, however, there is Configuration Data Transfer Export/Import activity which can export the data to ZIP file at the source site and then import that file at the destination site.
CDT activity can utilize CTS+ as a transport channel but I would suggest ZIP file instead because the file can be edited manually in case of any issue or if you want to remove some data.
