Service of ESS attach his CV uploading

There exits a ESS service on which a employee can attach his CV uploading a Word file, and that let us change this file with a new upload, or it this needs an abab development?

There is no ESS application that lets you upload your CV and then change it as far as I know!
Looks like you will have to create one from scratch.

The solution above does not use the webdynpro COD service in ESS, it is a portal component with embedded JavaScript which also only stores the photo on portal only (not the infotype in ECC). I guess I need to figure out how to add these javascript files to the webdynpro COD service in ESS. Although I don't think Webdynpro Java allows you to add javascript.

Error while accessing services of ESS/MSS tabs - URGENT

This could be case when the payroll for the user XYZ has not be updated till the current period, in which you are trying to access the ESS or MSS tabs.
You can try this.
1. Go to the transaction - PC00_mxy_CLSTR
where xy refers to the MOLGA or the country coding for which the payroll is run.
Observe there till which period for the user XYZ the payroll has been run.
2. If the payroll has not been run for the current period.
Go to transaction PC00_mxy_CALC and by entering the parameters, run the payroll and try doing the same.

Get error message "this "**" file cannot be attached until the files already attached are finished uploading" even when attaching 1 file

I attached multiples .pdf files to an email. Tried to attach the next file before the previous 1 finished attaching. Got error message "this "**" file cannot be attached until the files already attached are finished uploading". Was never able to attach that 1 file to the email that I received the error message for; was able to attach subsequent files to that same email & send it. Now, I often get the same error message, even if I only attach 1 file & esp. when attaching .ai or .jpeg files. What can I do to fix this problem?

It looks like nobody has an answer for this despite of the 80 something views!
And here i thought Adobe admin would be monitoring the forum, but surprisingly, they don't even have the answer for this!!!

Services for Objects Attachement List Display Note not Viewable

Good day! I'm trying to display a note in FK03 (related to Services for Objects - Attachment List) and I only see white screen pop up window. No message and text information. When I tried to use another PC I can successfully view it.
Is there's a plugin that I may need to install?

It is my understanding that the IXOS licensing is based on users retrieving of documents not necessarily the viewer so the licensing implications of having non-IXOS viewers accessing documents using the generic archivelink viewer is still likely to result in licensing implications if an audit is conducted at any stage.
The transaction for specifying the viewer is the OAA3 and OAG4.

SWA: Web Services call with attachment using 10.1.3 preview?

Has anyone managed to figure out how to invoke a web service with an attachment (using SWA, SOAP with Attachments) with the new 10.1.3 preview release?
Or are there any samples/documents that can point me in the right direction on how to do this?

Finally got 10.1.3 installed, and sure enough, there is an example for the use of SWA (SOAP with Attachments), both as client and as server.
But the notes say it won't run with Oracle Lite DB. Makes me wonder why?
Kinda sucks, since that is what we're using for our proof of concept. <sigh>

Blank page displaying when clicking on the service in ESS

Hi All,
MyExpenses & Leave Request services under ESS is displaying blank page when i log into the portal with test user. When i log in with my user id , both are opening and working properly.
all the remaining services are working properly. for some users, it is working properly and for some users it is displaying blank page.
To work the service properly with the test user, what properties or authorizations i have to set in portal / backend.
pls post answers. This is the third time i am posting this question. I did not get answers for this... its very urgent issue.

Hi,
The problem seems to be due to lack of proper authorisation.
Go to Portal content->Contents provided by SAP->Open the permission editor of the folder 'End User Content'.
Therein enter eu_role and check the box corresponding to the end-user. Now assign the users eu_role and ESS role.
If everyone is going to use ESS, then 'End User content' to the Group 'Everyone' with read access and then assign the ESS role to the 'Everyone' group.

In MSS we want to hide Budget, Projects, Planning
In Team also we want to hide services like employee working time (approve time sheet data), performance management, competency management, hcm process and forms, in recruitment (create new candidate assessment), organization
Please let me know where and how to hide these services in ESS and MSS

For hiding the links in both ESS and MSS, you need to make changes in Home Page Framework.
For this go to transaction SPRO and navigate to
Cross-Application Components - Home page Framework.
I suggest not to delete the standard one instead see and create new iView with new parameters.

"W2 Reprint" service in ESS

Has anyone used "W2 Reprint" service in ESS before?
Can anybody say how does this work? I have read the online documentation, but it doesnot give much information.
Where will the request go after submission?Does it go to the chief of Org.unit?
Is there a way, where we can bring the W2 form for the employee into ESS, so that he can print it?

You may to try the following advice:
1. go to the IMG, under:
Cross-Application Components
   -> Homepage Framework
     -> Services
       -> Define Services
Check if the case of W2Reprint is correct.If not correct it.
2. If after change, the link dissapears from homepage, please refer to
OSS note 808111.
3. Restart J2EE Engine after this change.

One good one to mention.....Adobe interactive Forms via HCM Processes and Forms is THE replacement for PCRs.....even says so in the documentation. Soooo....
You will also see them in Appraisals now as well as a big part of E-Recruiting, Travel and Expense, etc.

There should be specific country services for ESS netherlands - You should be able to see the following in the Homepage Framework customizing table of the back-end ECC system -->

The actual iviews and WD applications should be visible in the Portal PCD under the ESS role end user content or in J2EE WD content administrator under essnlxxx
If they are not available it could be you are missing essential ESS software components or have a different technology platform and older ESS version or too low an SP stack
MSS is general functionality which should be available in Dutch - this may be BP dependant therefore please check release notes or any download information for the software component for more details

Just the the below steps to enable or hide service in ESS.
Step 1,Activate Appintegrater to enable ABAP service configuration.
Goto System admin ->System config ->service configuration ->Application - >drill down " com.sap.portal.appintegrator" - > Right click on Common_Configuration - click on configure - > set true for Use_customerEXIT_parameterProvider. than go back to com.sap.portal.appintegrator right clidk and click on Administration and do Restart.
Step 2.Employee Self-Service Web Dynpro ABAP - > iViews - > Navigation Services - > Overview ( Right Click) Preview
U will see the ESS Page.
Step3 : Right click we will see option setting for current configuration.Here u can do u UI level customization.Instead of doing in LPD_CUST Tcode in ECC.
