Service Product (Download from R3 or Create in CRM)

Hi, we are implementing service with R3 billing and were trying to determined if to download the service products from R3 or to create them in CRM and then upload them. Currently we have service products in R3 however it's not clear if it's a good idea to keep them now that we are integrating CRM.
From what we know, service products need to be mapped between CRM and R3 so that R3 billing can take place. In order to accomplished this, we can download them from R3 to CRM, but they are created as products of type material and not as services. If this is so, we assumed that we are loosing part of the functionality meant for service products.
On the other side, if we create them in CRM and upload them to R3 then we seem to have the integration and keep their functionality in CRM.
If this approach correct or actually it's a good idea to download the service products existing in R3?

    We have CRM 4.0 connected with R/3 backEnd and configurable products are downloading from R/3 into CRM with the whole characteristics.
    We don´t use this characteristics in CRM to configure this product and the pricing. Is there any way to avoid this information into CRM??
    1.- Though the Middleware???
    2.- Though the Uninstalling IPC(internet pricing configurator)???
    3.- though the item category of the Business Transaction.???
    It´d be grateful to get a way because actually, when we enter the product, this one has to be configurated because of the errors.

    Hello Luis,
    First of all I am unable to understand how are you getting the characteristic through material download.
    All configuration comes through Knowledge Base and its runtime version.
    If you want to block configurable materials from flowing to CRM then set the filter on Item Category Group.
    I think you must have different item Category group for configurable material.

  • Issue with customer download from ECC 5.0 to CRM 5.0

    Dear CRM gurus,
    We are facing very strange problem regarding sales area and sales office in CRM 5.0 test system
    During the download of an ECC 5.0 customer into CRM the BDOC is giving the following error - 'Sales office O 50000617 is not available' and 'Sales office O 50000617 sales group not maintained for sales area O 50000608     10 10'and Validation error occurred: Module CRM_BUPA_MAIN_VAL, BDoc type BUPA_MAIN.
    I just select the BDOC and reprocess it immediately. Now the customer is downloaded into CRM and BDOC turns into green. I am also able to see the sales office and sales area in the downloaded CRM BP.
    The sales office 50000617 is very much there in CRM and is properly assigned to sales area 50000608     10 10. That's why, I should be able to reprocess the struct BDOC successfully.
    But for some reason the sales office is not getting determined first time during the download. This issue is driving me crazy. This only happens with the customers with sales office. If there is no sales office in ECC customer (i.e. the field is empty) then there is no issue. This customer will get downloaded without any error.
    Also the downloaded material doesn't have the sales area data. 
    This issue doesn't happen in our development system. The only difference is, sales org structure in development system is manually created and it is downloaded from ECC in test system.
    Can you please advice me on how to solve this issue?. It is a bit urgent.

    You are the only one responded to my issue. I have allocated some points.
    Yes. I have checked the assignment in CRM organizational model.
    I did download the org. structure from ECC 5.0
    All objects including sales offices are activated for determination and I have verified with green light
    As per your suggestion if the sales area data is not matched between the two systems, then how come the error will not reappear during the bdoc reprocess?
    What is missing during the first time bdoc process? Looks something is missing for validation module?
    Any inputs?

  • Equipment Download from ECC 6.0 to CRM 5.0

    Hi,
    I have made equipment in ECC 6.0 using the Transaction code IE01.
    While trying to download it into CRM, the BDoc shows a validation error
    I have activated the adapter objects EQUI_CONFIG and EQUIPMENT.
    I will be obliged If somebody can give me the step by step process to download the equipment from ECC to CRM and the customizations to be done as a prerequisite.

    Iam getting a Validation Error in the Bdoc CRM_EQ_DMBDOC.
    The Error Message is <b>Assign a Base Category to the Product.</b>
    I have the Base Hierarchy R3PRODSTYP Assigned to the Application
    Product.
    And i cannot edit the Hierarchy or Categories since they are Downloaded
    from ECC.
    Please let me know how to Specify a Base Hierarchy/Category for the
    Equipments to get Downloaded as Individual Objects.

  • Equipment download from ECC 6.0 to CRM 7.0

    Hi Guys,
    I am trying to Replicate equipments from ECC 6.0 to CRM 7.0
    I did all the activities as specified still encountering issue while replicating.
    I did following activities
    1) Default settings
    OLTP-EQ-0401-0401-X(Delta)
    2) BADI - CRM_EQUI_LOAD_STDIMP (Activated)
    3) Specify adapter object for uploading objects
    0401 - DNL_EQUIPMENT
    I tried to load Equipment through R3AS for "EQUIPMENT" OLTP selected.
    A) I checked SMQ1, SMQ2 - No Queues are blocked.
    B) SMW01---Found 2 lines for BDOC Type CRM_EQ_DMBDOC with green light successfully processed.
    C) But if I Check through R3AM1 (monitor Objects) the Adapter "EQUIPMENT" is aborted.
    I checked the BDOC Message for the passed lines in SMW01 it says
    1) Start of Initial load.
    2) No Objects were selected.
    In ECC, I see enough equipments in EQUI Table. But I haven't given any filters in EQUIPMENT so that it will select all.
    Please correct me if I am following a wrong process or forward me the check list for Equipment load.
    I tried almost a full day on this but nothing accomplished and I found similar failure postings for Equipments a lot in Forums.
    Please advice.

    go to ERP.
    check there the table CRMRFCPAR
    Is there an entry for OBJ_NAME EQUIPMENT?
    If no create it.
    If yes check this entry if everything looks fine.
    Afterwards start a new initial load.

  • Sales Area is not visible in CRM for the products downloaded from R/3

    Hi Experts,
    Our client is using CRM 2007 and R/3 4.7.
    connectivity was established via Middleware.
    Before downloading the materials from R/3 we have done the following things
    1. Following customizing objects were downloaded
    DNL_CUST_PROD0
    DNL_CUST_PROD1
    DNL_CUST_PROD3
    DNL_CUST_SALES
    DNL_CUST_S_AREA
    2. Org structure was copied from R/3 using the Tcode - CRMC_R3_ORG_GENERATE.
    3. All the required sales are were correctly maintained( Downloaded ) in the org structure and under attributes tab " Object permitted for determination was selected".
    4. Executed the report HRBCI_ATTRIBUTES_BUFFER_UPDATE.
    After down loading the materials also we have executed the above report.
    But the sales area details are not coming with the product.
    Not: If I try to create a product in CRM I was not able to assign Sales area, ASSIGN button was in disabled mode.
    Could you please guide me to solve this issue.

    Can you please check if all the condition tables are replicated correctly from R/3 to CRM. Eg ZDNL_COND_A805 and DNL_COND_A191.
    I hope the initial download for the same would be completed.
    Because there might be some fields relating to Material and Sales Area in these condition tables, which might not have moved to CRM.
    Thats the reason I am asking to check.

  • Customer Master download from ECC 6.0 to CRM 7.0

    Hello Experts,
    We have an issue where the DELTA DOWNLOAD of a customer master is not working. Also, no BDoC is getting generated when the new customer is created in ECC.
    This happens sometimes and not always. Any specific settings or any SAP NOTE on this?

    Since you've mentioned that this issue takes place only sometimes, I guess the TBE31 events are fine then. Probably have a look at SMQ1 of the ECC and check if the queue pertaining to CUSTOMER_MAIN is stuck somewhere.
    Just cross check if settings in tables CRMCONSUM and CRMRFCPAR are proper.

  • Delta Download from ISU BP to CRM BP doesn't work

    Hi Experts,
    We are currently new implementing a CRM7.0 system which is connected to an existing ISU system. We now have an issue about the BP delta download from ISU -> CRM.
    Replication Scenario:
    ISU BP -> CRM BP, NOT SD Customer -> CRM BP. As ISU is the leading system to create BPs and in ISU a MKK BP will be created first then a SD customer will be generated based on a template. So the change of a BP is via BP transaction for MKK role, not via XD02 SD Customer.
    Issue:
    The middleware setting is done and initial download from ISU BP -> CRM BP is done and successful. However when I trying to change a BP (change a MKK BP via BP transaction) in ISU, the change is not replicated to CRM (no queues, no BDOCs). It seems the delta download is not triggered at all.
    However, I have maintained all the settings based on the ISU Specifics on the Set-Up-and-Load Guide for BP. So the followings are maintained:
    - ISU: COM_BUPA_CALL_FU maintained based on the Guide
    - CRM: CRMC_BUT_CALL_FU maintained based on the note 757955
    - CRM: V_SMOFEVOB maintained based on the Guide
    - ISU: BTE table (T-code: BF31) maintained based on the Guide
    After setting above, the initial load is working (necessary table like CRMCONSUM,  CRMRFCPAR etc. are maintained otherwise the initial download won't successful). However, the delta download from ISU BP (MKK) to CRM BP doesn't work.
    The only uncertain thing for me is the setting for ISU : CRMC_BUT_CALL_FU. In the Guide only one sentence saying CRMC_BUT_CALL_FU needs to be maintained both in CRM and ISU and details refer to note 757955. However, the note 757955 only talks about FMs for CRM not for ISU/ECC. So in ISU/ECC the table CRMC_BUT_CALL_FU I activated for the following entries:

    Also I have read some notes that the ISU BP -> CRM BP delta download is not triggered by above tables, it is triggered by BADI PARTNET_UPDATE, is this true, a bit confused.

  • Service Product Upgrade/Downgrade functionality

    Just wanted to ask a question about the eCommerce functionality on BC. My client has a service/support product that they sell to Members. They have various levels of this product eg. Pro, Regular & Basic.
    One of the features of this service is that Members can upgrade/downgrade between these products as they need to. What I need to know is whether BC can handle that type of request, here are a couple of examples:
    Customer on Pro level, wants to downgrade to Basic for 3 months, therefore they should get a discount for that perdiod of time. How would that work?
    Customer on Regular level, needs to upgrade to Pro but has already paid for a certain amount of time at Regular, so therefore thay should only pay the balance between the Regular subscription and the Pro subscription for the time left in their current subscription and after that they would pay the full Pro subscription fee?
    I hope the above makes sense, I’m a designer more that a eCommerce guru..
    Does anyone know whether this functionality is easy to achieve in BC?
    or whether I should be looking elsewhere...

    Good to know  — there is no such application as "Adobe XI".
    "Adobe" is the name of the company.
    "XI" is indicative of the use of either Acrobat XI or Reader XI.
    Neither Acrobat XI Pro (for which Adobe provides a free, fully functional 30-day trial) nor Adobe Reader XI (the free to download and use PDF viewer that Adobe provides) have  an "Export PDF" entry under "File".
    "Export PDF" only is present in Adobe Reader XI over on the right on the "Tools" panel.
    The "Tools" panel provides a way for a user of Adobe Reader XI to connect to various By Subscription online services (gotta pay eh).
    Export PDF is one of these. A subscription lets you send a PDF file to the online internet service (aka "cloud" service). The service then exports to a supported file format (Word / Excel / ...) and the user selects / directs where the output file is to be saved on the user's local machine.
    Of course to use any of the online subscription services one must have an active (paid up in full) subscription to the service.
    So ---- As described the puzzle pieces don't fit eh.
    What specific Adobe (the company) applications are you using?

  • Service product not copied automatically from contract

    i'm creating a notification referencing a contract item   and thereafter creating a service order from the notification.
    i'm finding that in some cases the material corresponding to the contract item is getting copied in the service product of service order, while in other cases it is not.
    i could not find any difference between the two materials.
    pl help is solving the issue

    A Project is automatically generated from a sales order, when material in line item have been allocated in CN08, This determines which WBS structure is to be used as the basis for project creation, which has also been linked to a STD network, Bcoz SD/PS assign is ON i the STD PRJECT DEFINATION control data.
    ON - A WBS leg is created for each sales order line item including similar Network.
    In OPSA only one root must not be ticked.
    Setting in Material Master.
    Delivery Plant in SALES ORG VIEW 1
    Item Category Group SALES ORG VIEW 2
    MRP type: NO MRP indicator ND
    Strategy group: 85
    Individual /coll reqmt: left blank /1 individual reqmt.
    MAETRIAL must be configurable.

    u will find Project from sales order like CNS41, DB profile- tick selection criteria as sales doc.
    value from sales doc will be planned revenue for corresponding WBS.
    Creation of project from sales order in SAP Project system is described as assembly processing.
    In the Project System only networks can be generated directly from a sales document during assembly processing. Indirectly the system can also generate work breakdown structures, when it creates the network.
    1.You start assembly processing by creating a sales document for a material. This sales
    document can be inquiry,quotation, sales order.
    2. The system then
    Configures the material, if necessary
    Creates a network using the standard network as a template
    Configures the network, if necessary
    Schedules the network backwards from the required delivery date
    Checks material availability
    Costs the network and transfers these costs to the sales document.
    3. When you save the sales document, the system saves the network together with the sales
    document. If applicable, it also generates a project definition and work breakdown structure.
    The project number is derived from the sales document number.

  • How to creat CS-order with config service product with own logic

    Hi all,
    I saw already different threads related to this topic, however no clear solution was given yet.
    The scenario is:
    Create from a notification list the service orders and determine in the background a correct service product which is configurable. Via an own logic the service product is found in a z-table and and the configuration is done via a seperate logic.
    What would be the solution of the above scenario.
    I already found some information in using:
    CUCB_GET_CONFIGURATION
    CUCB_SET_CONFIGURATION
    CUCB_CONFIGURATION_TO_DB
    But does this work?
    How should the logical flow be in using these functionmdules.
    We are using BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN to create the service order, however it is not allowed in  this bapi to enter a service product which is configurable.

  • Products not found, after download from R/3

    Hi Experts,
    Our client is using SAP R/3 4.7 and CRM 5.0.
    Connectivity has been established through middleware and initial load was done( customer master and material master).
    After the initial load of material i was able to see all the materials which were downloaded from R/3, in CRM.
    If i create any new material in R/3 they were flowing to CRM.
    But suddennly, if i try to open some products using transaction COMMPR01, System is giving a error message like 'No products found'.
    If i open the table COMM_PRODUCT, those missing product details are there. I dont understand why i am getting this error message.
    Can anybody tell me what could be the reason.
