Service Request State Models

Hello guys,
We have created a value in the Service Request status (Under Customer Approval) which is to be after the status Approved-Req. When the client reaches the status Approved-Req he is unable to reach the new value Under Customer Approval.
Could anyone please help me with this one? Because I checked the transitions and it says:
(From State) = Approved-Req. (To State) = Under Customer Approval.
Check flag on Public along with the problem type = New Requirements.
The authroized positions filled are the same as the position of the customer trying to change the service request status.
Why can't we change the status of a service request from Approved-Req to Under Customer Approval? Please help.
Thank you

Hi Hameez,
Is the issue occuring only for this transition?
When u have added the Authorized position. Does the transition was appearing previoulsy when it was public?
Try chaning again to Public and check if you are able to select the value.
Then add the Position and bounce the server to make the changes affect.

  • XML Publisher with Service Module - Service Request Reports -- URGENT

Hi all ... any pointers/help/guidance with the problem listed below would be much appreciated.
I'm working in the context of the Oracle Service Module & Service Request Reports.
I'm required to configure the XML Publisher Responsibility seeded functionality with the service module reports.
Listed below are the two reporting requirements that I'm considering , corresponding to the following seeded XMLP Responsibility seeded components:
(I'm quoting an extract from the Oracle TeleService Implementation & User Guide here).
    Detailed Report
Data Definition: Service Request Detail Definition (CS_SR_DETAIL_DEF)
Corresponding Template: Service Request Detail Report Template (CS_SR_DETAIL_TMP.en)
Template Description: Includes all of the available service request attributes including charges, the two descriptive flexfields, and extensible attributes.
    Summary Report
Data Definition: Service Request Summary Definition (CS_SR_SUMMARY_DEF)
Corresponding Template: Service Request Summary Report Template (CS_SR_SUMMARY_TMP_en)
Template Description: Includes a subset of the detailed report attributes including the same charges information as the detailed report.
When I log into the EBS >> XML Publisher Administrator Responsibility >> Service Application ... I find these seeded XMLP components, together with the preview data, downloadable templates & sample output.
    The question is:
Where (responsibility/application/navigation/etc.) do I find the seeded EBS Service Reports to provide the expected XML input to the seeded XMLP Service Request Data Definitions & Templates????
    Notes ...
I have found the following two reports, under the Service Application in EBS, set their output type to XML and viewed the output of the submitted request:
    - Service Request Detail Report
    - Service Request Summary Report
... but each of these two reports produce XML output of a different data model/structure to that expected by each of the corresponding seeded XMLP data-definitions/templates.
Additionally, I cannot find any corresponding concurrent program definitions on the system with the same SHORT-NAME/CODE as the seeded XMLP data definitions themselves i.e. CS_SR_DETAIL_DEF and CS_SR_SUMMARY_DEF.
Are the necessary reports not actually seeded within EBS? Do the seeded XMLP data definitions & templates require development of new Concurrent Programs from scratch to access the database tables and provide the necessary data/input, or am I missing something here??

I am sure you found a solution to your problem. If not, to give a pointer to this issue, I guess these reports are gererated right from the service request screen and this definition is used there. This report can be generated from several places based on where you are within SR scree.
    Thanks

I have compiled the forms for JTF, CS, CSC
I also ran utlrp.sql to recompile invalid objects and still no luck.
No luck in metalink thus far. Where would the next logical place be to look for the cause of this error? Thanks

It appears to be attempting to update all the columns in the statement, I am not sure which ones have data vs which don't.

TNS-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor
there was a entry in /etc/hosts which was directing primary.swapnilkambli.com to 127.0.01
This was because I created this OS from a Virtual box template wherein that entry was made.
I changed the /etc/hosts to refelct the true address and it worked!!

  • Create a view - Service Requests and Incidents

    Hi all,
I have a Service Manager 2012 environment that has gone through an in-place upgrade from SCSM 2010.
In the SCSM 2010 environment, Service Requests were implemented by extending the Incident class with an attribute that would denote whether the work item was an Incident or a Service Request.
In SCSM 2012 I would like to create a view that would combine the SCSM 2010 "Service Requests" with SCSM 2012 Service Requests.
Is it possible to create a Type Projection that performs the job of an SQL UNION statement?  If I was doing this in SQL, I'd be writing a query similar to the following:
    Select *
    From ServiceRequestDim
    Union Select *
    From IncidentDim
    Where ServiceRequestType = 'Service Request'
(Obviously, some mapping of attributes between the two class types would be needed...and perhaps that's the reason why a type projection of this sort would not be possible...)
An alternate approach - attack this from the Work Item class.  It's trivial to create a view that contains Service Requests and Incidents - just set your criteria to be: ID begins with 'SR' or ID begins with 'IR'.  Unfortunately, that criteria
returns all Incidents, and I only want the Incidents that have the attribute ServiceRequestType = 'Service Request'.  Is it possible to create a Type Projection starting with the Work Item type that employs criteria from child classes?

Work Item is an abstract class, and can't be extended for implementation reasons.
i think Anders has understated the difficulty of combining these views: this is a bit like saying "show me all the orange things, given this bucket of cats and this bucket of fruit" yes, they are both "orange", but fur is not the same
as fruit rind; they're not the same "orange".
the 2010 Service Request implementation was never intended to be a serious use case (i assume you're talking about the SCSM Service Request demo implementation on codeplex), it was intended
to be a demo of what you could do with the form and object interfaces.
The solution here should be simple, convince your client that their solution has been replaced by a newer, better version, Resolve Close and then deprecate these requests, and start reporting only the new type requests. these are history, and dirty data,
    and should be ignored.

  • Service Request Status Configurations

    Hi Experts,
I am configuring Service Requests in CRM 7.0. We have created Status Profiles and have assigned it to the Transaction Type. There is a need to have statues and sub-status (reason for status). For example: When we select In-Process as the status the sub-status should display the reason for the request being in In-process status like: Waiting customer response, analysis in process etcu2026
Is this functionality available out of the box. If so, how can we achieve it? I tried configuring this using multi-level categorization but could not find a way to link a category and statuses configured.
Any pointers on resolving this issue will be of great help.
    Regards
    Namita

    Hi Namita,
    Thats why i mentioned CRM2007
If on CRM7.0, we dont have reason maintenance but have all new Multiple Categorization concept introduced.
As PePe says, Service Request and Service Ticket are all different transactions as they have different  Buss. Objects. Service Request is new thing from CRM7.0 .Earlier we had only service tickets where you can maintain the reasoning.
Depending your Project Realization mapping as decided by Solution Architech, either service req. or service tickets should be used. Now since you are using Service requests, we have to fullfill your needs there only.
If you want, you can still get the Reason dropdown in WEB UI thought development. Add BTSUBJECT in the view and do the coding to read your subject profile , subject codes and show the texts. This will be pure development but i dont see much effort as you are still doing it in BT model. I would recommand to go with categorizations only as its SAP std. suggested for Service Requests scenario. Maintaining Categorization and schema is failrly simple however i feel SAP has un-necessarily complecated it. Follow the help.sap.com categorization under CRm service. They have nice explanations. We generally maintain categorization from WEB UI only and not through SPRO.
Let me know if you stuck up on coding part as i have already done it, i may help you.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Suchita

  • Route calls to two different CSQs, but show single set of Service Level stats on report

We have a single node UCCX 9.0.2 Premium environment to handle our ACD operations.  Our agents take inbound customer service, claims and sales calls for a few dozen of our clients.  All of these calls are currently taken by the same two teams of people regardless of which client it is for, with the sales calls going to one team and the customer service and claims calls going to the other team.  There is a Sales CSQ and Skill for each client, and a Customer Service CSQ and Skill for each client.  Currently the caller is presented with a menu giving two options...press 1 for customer service, press 2 for sales.
What we are looking at doing is adding a third prompt specifically for claims.  Claims issues are handled by the Customer Service team, but only certain members of the team.  Obviously I can create a new CSQ and Skill for Claims for each client, then have the new prompt route to the CSQ for Claims.
The challenging part is the reporting for this.  We have to report Service Level statistics for Customer Service calls (but not sales) for each client, to show whether or not we're meeting the service level agreement requirements.  The splitting out of claims calls to be handled by specific people is something being requested by our internal management, not the client.  But as far as the client is concerned those are customer service calls, they would count toward our customer service SLA, and they expect to see a single SLA statistic reported.
I know that it's only possible to add multiple skills to a CSQ and force agent selection based on a specific skill in CCE (not available in CCX).  But is there any way to script my way around this to get the same end result, and have the reporting data still reflect a single set of CSQ service level stats?

Thanks Aaron.  We're running HRC right now, but I've been dying to switch us to the version of CUIC that's built in to CCX for quite a while and it appears I may be able to do so soon.  I'm hoping to utilize some of the additional flexibility of the saved reporting templates in CUIC to massage the data formatting as needed.
CUIC Premium is something our management will be considering, but I'm anticipating the license for it being very expensive and probably causing them to eliminate it as an option.  Unfortunately I haven't been able to get my hands on a demo copy of it to try to "sell" it to them either.
Thanks again for your help Aaron.

  • View of organizational unit in Service request

    Hi everyone,
In our service request, we are trying to visualise all the organizational unit (of the organization model) of a BP.
We achieve to see the direct service group where the BP is assigned but we are trying to see more of the link to the organizational model.
For example : our organizational model looks like this:
For user AJAUSSAUD1, I can see the direct link to PSE Equiment in my service request (this is determined in the partner schema determination)
However, we would like to be able to see MC1 (here 3 level above) in the service request.
We are using service organization as function and all the organizational unit are determined as service organization as we are using it to authorizations access.
Does anyone know if there is a way to see the link with all the organizational unit of a user in a service request?
Would it be with the attribute available in the ppoma-crm, but how to add the field and make them available in the service request view?
    Thank you,
    Regards,
    Anaïs

    Hello Anais,
As far as I know, there is no standard way to view an organizational hierarchy in a service request. You will need to do some developments. There are two options -
    1. If you want the 3 org levels to be stored in data base table for future reference and reporting
You can add 3 fields in ORGMAN sub object using AET. This will add the fields to table CRMD_ORGMAN. After org determination has happened in your service request, you can use BAdi - CRM_ORGMAN_BADI, methd - CRM_ORGMAN_MERGE to fill values of these 3 org levels. You have to recursively use functions or query table HRP1001 to get the parent of determined service org and then its parent and so on.
Remember once these 3 fields are added at database level, they are available for all transaction types of one order. These fields can be made available to BW queues also at time of adding them.
    2. If you do not want the 3 org levels to be stored in data base table
This would mean you only want these fields for display to end user.
Add 3 model nodes in the web ui component. In the getter method of 1st field, add select query or call function to get parent of determined service org. Similarly for other 2 fields.
Hope this will help. Maybe you also get some different suggestion from other guys.
    Regards,
    Niraj

  • InfoPath combined with Excel Rest services gives State service error

    Hi
I'm having a problem with InfoPath and Excel Services. I have a InfoPath form that calls Excel to do a fairly simple calculation, but I also have another form at a client that is doing the same calling a much more complicated function.
    The error I get is

I have determined that if the user is in the Members group, then it works, but as soon as the user is in another group, it gives the error. I have played around with permission levels, given the user all rights, but it still gives that error.
Does anyone have any idea about what might be the problem? I have thought that it's a problem on the state service, but it isn't configurable. I don't want to resort to put everyone into the Members group, as that doesn't seem to be a solution that will
work with everyone. We are on the June 2012 CU.

Thanks Sergio. I tried that but unfortunately didn't fix the problem. I have given the groups Contribute rights, Full Control rights, create my own custom permission level, nothing works except when the user is in the Members post.
I realised today that the error I posted above is a bit misleading. The error that happens first before that one is this (after removing timestamps and correlations):

The error I first posed is I think the reaction to this exception. The strange thing is that the user can access the spreadsheet fine. When I go to the URL that is used for the rest service and just remove the $format parameter, it displays it fine as a HTML

  • Service Requests stuck In Progress

I have about 20-30 service requests that are stuck in the In Progress state. The activities on the Service Request have been completed.
I have tried restarting the services below and deleted the HealthServiceStore.edb file in the folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft System Center 2012 R2\Service Manager\Health Service State\Health Service Store
    Microsoft Monitoring Agent
    System Center Data Access Service
    System Center Management Configuration
I have everything to my knowledge short of rebooting the server. Is there anything else I can try?

I wrote a blogpost on how to detect stuck SR using a script, and a script that will kickstart it again (some requests have activities that are stuck in pending which is even worse). Also finds the ones with all completed activities but SR is still active.

    @Thomas
Didn't know you could use -Value "Closed" as this is an enumeration. Anyways, if you wan't to be language-independent you can use (free from memory - not tested)
    $ClosedStatus = Get-SCSMEnumeration ServiceRequestStatusEnum.Closed # Something like this :D
    $SR | Set-SCSMObject -Propertyhashtable @{Status = $ClosedStatus}

  • Q: Service Request: Generate operation failure, not an execution failure

    Scenario:
A Service Request is launched from Service Manager. The Service Request initiates an Orchestrator runbook. The runbook is unable to perform a successful operation, however the runbook was executed properly.
    Question #1:
How do I reflect in the Service Request that though the Service Request is completed, however the outcome was unsuccessful?
    Question #2:
What are some best practices or tips to consider when updating the Service Request?
My apologizes for such a simple question, but weeding through the thick search results hasn't touched on this yet.

That is an option, but not as elegant as I would have hoped for. I still might implement it in one fashion or another.
I have identified a few states that I would ideally like Service Requests to be in beyond that what Service Manager allows. Right now Service Requests reflect review rejection as failed and the reason is not provided to the customer. Instead SRs should reflect
as rejected and the reason why. I would like this because the "failed" state represents another state whereby a runbook fails to execute in automation. I shouldn't have to have an engineer managing the autonomous nature of  Service Manager when
the results are unclear for the customer who want to know why a SR failed.
I now have it where if a runbook fails it's operation due to a fault, not execution, a incident ticket is auto generated and assigned to the proper queue for processing based on the service performed. The next step is to insure that the service request is
not closed out, but goes into a paused state as the issue is being resolved behind the scenes and then reinstated once the underlining issue is resolved. Haven't figured this one out yet.
If no one answers this over the weekend I will mark Xin Guo as the answer as it confirms an option available. Thank you.

  • ISupport - Create Service Request HTML form

    Hello,
Is there a way to view the query executed by the Create Service Request html form? I need to view the query executed to fetch the Contact Information when creating a Service Request.
    TIA

You get the sql trace by using the following steps
Login to the application Now switch to the System Administrator Responsibility
    1. Navigate to - Profile - System
    2. On the "Find System Profile Values" form, make sure the checkboxes for "User" and "Profiles with no Values" are checked
    3. Beside the "User" checkbox, use the LOV to select the user whose activity you need to trace
    4. In the "Profile" field, enter the following profile and click the <Find> button:
    'Initialization SQL Statement - Custom'
    5. In the "System Profile Values" form, enter the following in the User Field: (This is one line and all single quotes)
    begin fnd_ctl.fnd_sess_ctl('','','TRUE','TRUE','LOG','ALTER SESSION SET EVENTS=''10046 TRACE NAME CONTEXT FOREVER, LEVEL 12'' tracefile_identifier=''OracleSupport'''); end;
    6. DO NOT SAVE THE PROFILE YET
    7. In another browser window, login as the user you are going to trace and prepare to reproduce the problem
    8. Once you are ready to reproduce the problem, go back to the Applications Forms and Save the profile change
    9. Reproduce the problem
    10. Back in the Applications form, set profile to null so it does not trace anymore and Save the change
    11. The trace will be located in the user_dump_dest. To find location run the following in SQL*Plus:
    select value from v$parameter where name = 'user_dump_dest';
    12. The trace file will have current date/time and can be identified with the word OracleSupport in it.

  • Expand Service Request without drilldown

    Hi Everyone
I am working On Siebel Open UI
I have a Service Request Screen With all the details displaying on Drill down .
Now I need it when I click on the SR it should display all the details below in the same page without navigating to any other screen

This used to happen a lot in 2010.
One workaround I found was to export the management pack that contains your template.  Then edit the XML to hardcode each template into a Pending state initially.  That seems to stop the problem.
