Hi All, Had to browse the user roles on two MIIs 14.0.2 Build 82. (QA/DEV instances). While using: [Server][port]/XMII/Illuminator?Service=SystemInfo&Mode=RoleList&Content-Type=text/xml One server brings me the complete list, the second one misses approximately 1/3 of them, including some default roles like XMII_Administrator. Funny thing is that the XMII_SuperAdministrator is being retrieved. What would be the procedure to refresh the output of the sysinfo service on the instance with issues? Many Thanks, Paul.

Hello,
The service browser is only a test tool and can not be configured to hide unused attributes. If you want a UI to test your Entity Service, you might try a UI pattern or custom webdynpro where you can control the attributes displayed.
Your example shows one of the limitations of using the Remote Persistancy of an Entity Service (having to add attributes that may not even be part of the Entity).
If you called the External Service directly from an Application Service, you would have control over the attributes returned to the Service Browser.

WS Binding: exception durign SOAP invocation: java.util.NoSuchElementException
Looks like the error is in the data sent to or expected from the service in your composite. Check that audit logs and composite flow to make sure your soap message when using soapui matches what you are working with in soa suite.

When I try to read my rss-feed through yandex service, the browser and the whole system freeze for a significant amount of time. This started with Firefor 5 and is very unpleasant. Thank you in advance.

When I try to download (and especially renew) a page with my rss-feed that I read with Yandex service, the browser freezes, and then the whole system freezes. It typically takes about 5-7 minutes to load a very minimalistic page, and I can't use my browser or my system during that time.
This started with the release of Firefox 5. I use it on Ubuntu. I haven't experienced similar problems with any other websites.
I have already contacted the Yandex team about the matter.
I guess it's just a little weird that one of the Yandex services won't work in Firefox, as Firefox comes with a built-in yandex-bar in many cases. And it sure is frustrating.

Error while creating service for BW query

Hi All,
          I am creating service in gateway system by using BW query.
          I had created service using Entity Type -> Redefine -> BW query Service
          It is generated successfully but when i am running through Gateway Client, It is throwing error, given below
        " The argument '67.504.82831' cannot be interpreted as a number."
          All properties are string but still it is giving error in number.
          I am using Netwiever Gateway 7.3.
         Kindly advise, what could be issue and , how we can analyse.

We are aware that system will not allow to create Service entry sheet for held po. But it is allowed me to create on a particular date. Another day i tried to create/delete a SES for the same PO or new PO(held status) system is not allowing me to delete/create SES.
Please help me what might be the reason which allowed me on a particulare date.

Service PO report query

Dear All Abapers,
    I have developed a service PO report. Reference t-codes are ml81n and me23n. The query is regarding Entry sheet number for a particular PO number. If the user saves and posts an entry sheet no, a GR No. is made and it is reflected in my report. But if a user ONLY SAVES an entry sheet number (without posting), it is not reflected in my report but is reflected in the database tables which I have used. EKBE table in this case. So, what condition should I put so that 'only saved' entry sheet numbers are also reflected?

The select query is for fetching entry sheet number is:

I have a legacy table that has, among other fields, a DATE field. I create a view object on the table with a query (no entity object) and generate a service interface for the view. The web service interface works great for selecting on the non-date fields, e.g.:

In the view object, I can set the attribute type on the ContactTime field to Timestamp, but it does not affect the behavior. I cannot modify the underlying table to change from DATE to TIMESTAMP.
How do I set up the view object so that the service interface correctly passes the time component to the database and execute the query correctly?

Reporting Services Timeout but Query keep running?

The Gobal value for the reporting timeout is 10 minutes (600).
I Have a report which takes around (1hr to run).. The report correctly timesout (page cannot be display)
but the query kept on running..until it completed.
Is there any way to stop this from happening (Report and Query timeout after 10 minutes)
I have look on the internet and in my rsreportserver.config ..

Web Services for BW query - consuming in ADOBE FLEX

Hello Gurus,
Somehow, my client is not going ahead with BO Xcelsius dashboard solution due to budget problem so i am plannign to create some dashboard in ADOBE FLEX using web services. Do any one of u have implemented this kind of scenario? My intension is to go ahead with some good looking , better features which can be used as an alternative of Business Objects. I can see some tools like COGNOS, QLickview etc but I saw the look and features of ADOBE FLEX last week and tried explorin it.
1) You can either suggest alternative tool OR
2) if any one of you have used Web services to create ADOBE FLEX reports then let me know. I went thru some forums, blofgs and videos in SDN and came to know how to activate Web services in SAP BI side and got little idea. I didnt see anybody used ADOBE FLEX on the top of SAP BI query.

Oracle Service Bus-Outbound-Query String node

Hi,
i have created a proxy service and did all the message flows,the problem is that i cant see the outboud query string node. Is there any way to create the node and then assign values to it.

There is this $header variable which you should populate before calling the BS. What is the type of BS? If it is WSDL BS , Any Soap BS then above solution will work. I assume that yours is WSDL based BS and setting $header should resolve this issue.
AnyXML and Messaging type BS services requires that you create proper pay load (setting $header will not work).
There is also other actions Set Transport Headers {outbound request/inbound response} which can be used to set transport related headers but not soap headers.

Hi all,
I'm a newbie on BW, I'd like to know how can I get my query executed in the I.E. browser ?
I use the "query designer" and after saving the query when I execute it using "display query on the Web" button, the browser appears with a blank page ( the default page of I.E. )
If someone could help me ?? ( I am on BW 3.5 )

Populating ComboBox with CFC web service return type query

I am just now learning Flex and am attempting my first app (I have been a CFer for years).
Anyway, I am attempting to build an AIR app in Flex that simply has a login with a form to submit information into a database.
Things are going ok, except I am stumped at something that I think should be simple...populating a combo box. I have a CFC (I am using CFCs as a web service to drive the app) that contains a method that simply returns a query. I want to use the results to populate the combo box display and value. I created the combo box and then dragged the method to the box to have FB create the code. It populates the list but with just [object Object]. This is a piece of cake in CF but I am not stumbling across the correct syntax in Flex. Any pointers would be appreciated.

I figured it out with the help of the AS help. I switched to using a DropDownList and the first example in the help.

Web Service 2.0 Query Account Problem

I've got a web service to query Account IDs from CRMOD using the External System ID field value - I've been using the Web Service 1.0 WSDL, but now changing to the Web Service 2.0 WSDL. With the newest WSDL and modified code, I cannot get an Account Query to correctly return the Account ID. Below is the VB code I am using - similar to the 1.0 code I was using - passing the ExternalSystemId value in which I have verified is correct and an empty value for ID, but it never returns any data. I also tried sending an empty value for Name and Location instead of ID, but it still never returns any data.

I did verify the External ID by plugging it into a filter on a report and the correct account was returned.
Code before was just the creation of the proxy:

Code after:
It should take the AccountID from the query out object and it places it into another webservice call to create a task associated with that account. That web service call is working and is also Web Service 2.0. It uses the same objSession variable - so the session seems to be valid.

How do I use the Web Services API to query orders?

The help doc states, "you can retrieve details for purchases including products purchased, payments received, and their status." The only additional info is at the link to eCommerce-Related Web Service, which does not include any information about retrieving "products purchased, payments received, and their status."
