Set up of System Monitoring with SPS 15 only through "Work center"

Hi!
We use SAP Solution Manager SPS 15 and would like to set up System Monitoring function in order to monitor satellite systems.
Is is only possible as of SPS 15 with tcode "solman_workcenter"?
I have heared as of SPS 15 the tcode "dswp" provides only Display view...

--> If you want to configure Solution Monitoring, you can follow rkt in service market place. With SP15, SAP has given additional functionality to access solutions or projects through work centers. Now its up to you to use this functionality or you can directly go to solution_manager or DSWP to configure, doesnt matter.
I have heared as of SPS 15 the tcode "dswp" provides only Display view...
--> Have you tried? Its not Display, either way through work center you are going to access the same transaction. Please check.

Leopard wont be out befor the second half of this year, sofar i cannot tell you what options you are going to have with the new system. Seems like with time machine is going to be a perfect backup for your whole system.

Software RAID you can do 0 -1:
To setup a RAID of your system you have to format the drive and setup the RAID type you want from the disk utility.
To have some security i suggest the "mirror" options but you are going to lose some perfomance, depending you want is your main job it mighn't be noticed.
RAID 5:
This would be the nicest option but you need to buy an additional RAID controller. This is mostly used on servers and not on client computers.

System Monitoring with Solution Manager Ehp1

Hi,
I'm Tomas Piqueres, and I'm working in a VAR SAP with Solution Manager.
Recently, we installed Solution Manager Ehp1 and we are trying to configure it for System Monitoring. When I worked with Solution Manager SP17 I used to go to transaction RZ21 to add the system I wanted to monitoring and then put the SID and RFCs of the system.
Now with Solution Manager Ehp1, when I create the system in transaction RZ21, first I have to set the Component Type to Be Monitored and then the SID, Message Server Logon Group, the client and user are set automatically, and the password I've set to user CSMREG.
when I fill all the entries, I can see the RFCs used for the monitoring of the system. Those RFCs are set automatically:
<SID>_RZ20_COLLECT
<SID>_RZ20_ANALYZE
I can't edit those RFCs, so I have to create it manually. I check that RFCs destination works fine and both pass the authorization test, so when I try to save the system at transaction RZ21, I see the following errors:

I need to configure EWA from my Solman system and I completed the steps (defining and creation of RFC destinations to the target systems from my Solman system). I downloaded the lates ccmsagent file from the market place based my target system configurations.

Multi monitor with splitter only gives mirror image

i have a mac intel based 10.5.6 (i know i need an update) i ordered a minidvi to vga adapter but i thought that i could use a splitter to move my mouse to the two other monitors but it only gives me a mirror image and i dont know if i could change that. Any ideas?

The adapter worked but the refresh rate is very fragmented and i cant get a clear movement of pictures and it is also slowing my other monitors down. my guess is that it requires additional software and a load of adapters which i think is messed up. I have 10.5.8 now and do not see much a difference. the first monitor that attached was throught the mini dvi on that back with a vga adapter and it works like a charm on 1920x1080. is there any kinf of mini dvi "hub" or expander to give me one extra port?

Basic Strategy / Best Practices for System Monitoring with Solution Manager

I am very new to SAP and the Basis group at my company. I will be working on a project to identify the best practices of System and Service level monitoring using Solution Manager. I have read a good amount about SAP Solution Manager and the concept of monitoring but need to begin mapping out a monitoring strategy.
We currently utilize the RZ20 transaction and basic CCMS monitors such as watching for update errors, availability, short dumps, etc.. What else should be monitored in order to proactively find possible issues. Are there any best practices you all have found when implimenting Monitoring for new solutions added to the SAP landscape.... what are common things we would want to monitor over say ERP, CRM, SRM, etc?

I have both an iMac and a Macbook Pro and I want to set up a dual monitor with them. How would I do that exactly?

Still not sure. Been trying to find out but can't get it working.
Do I use a specfic cable to connect the two, could it possibly work with bluetooth? Please help

27-inch iMacs and iMacs with Thunderbolt can be used as an external display > http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11302
If you have a iMac with Thunderbolt, your MacBook Pro must be an Early 2011 or newer one in order to use your iMac as an external display. You have to buy a Thunderbolt cable.
If you have a iMac with Mini DisplayPort, your MacBook Pro must have Mini DisplayPort or Thunderbolt. In both cases, buy a Mini DisplayPort cable.
If you don't meet one of those cases, you can't use your iMac as an external display. In this case (and if you want to use the MacBook Pro as an external display), you can use an app like ScreenRecycler to use an unsupported Mac as a display

UCCX 8.5 replace system prompts with user prompts not working.

I am running UCCX System version: 8.5.1.11002-22 with the language en_US installed. I am trying to replace the system generated prompts for a telephone number to be the localized voice talent.
1. I have enabled the System > System Parameters > User Prompts override System Prompts is set to enabled.
2. I created the following prompt directory /gen/number/ and /gen/telephone.
3. I uploaded prompts (recorded by UCCX) to both of these directories.
4. Very simple script, accept, get calling number, generate prompt, play prompt, terminate call, end.
5. The generated prompt is always using the default installed system prompts and not playing the user uploaded prompts.
Is a restart of the UCCX engine required for this change to take place?

Hi troyputnam,
It's not necessary a restart. Which folder do you upload the prompt, en_US? If you upload the prompt at a different folder, you will need to specify for every prompt to not look at the default Prompt Folder.

External Monitoring with MXO2 Mini not working

OK, I chose the Matrox 1080i60 Sequence Preset. And then I import and use AVCINTRA P2 footage. When I put it into the sequence...I see the clips on the timeline, but nothing in the Program monitor, nor my external monitor. I press play...nothing happens. The footage works fine in an AVCIntra sequence...but not a Matrox MXO2 Mini sequence preset. Any idea why?

Trying to set up HP Photosmart B209a with Macbook pro through airport

I am trying to set up an HP Photosmart B209a printer through my Macbook pro with my home network through airport extreme and express. Each time I reach the point in the set up for connecting to the wireless printer, the program recognizes my network but will not connect. It just sits and spins. Can anybody offer any solutions?

The problem was solved by using the airport utilities manager under the "base station" menu. I opened the "add wireless clients" and checked "first try". The printer connected and the problem was solved.

I have tried replacing the Firefox start-up page with my own home page choice many times and it will not set--I get the circle with the slash through it when I try to drag the webpage icon to "home."

I am using Windows 7 Professional, and have tried all of the recommended troubleshooting tips for this problem. I do not have the new version of Firefox installed because it had all kinds of problems so I went back to the version I had--I believe it was 3.6.24. Since then, I have not been able to set a home page. Any help out there? Thank You!

Try to drag the tab or the website's favicon on the Home button if you currently drag selected text.
If it doesn't work with dragging the icon then copy the URL to the clipboard and paste it via the Options window in the home page field.

Dynamicly set y axis on graph with 0 always being in center

i have a report that i want to dynamicly set the y axis as the values change from contract to contract. but i want to maintain that 0 will always be in the center of the graph.
if i use the auto range and auto scale it shifts 0 away from the center.
any ideas?

Sorry, I don't mean to be a smart-alec, but Crystal's charts are not very flexable. I understand they are working on it.

I have found a Multicav 22 inch LCD monitor for sale but have never heard of multicav before and was wondering if anyone had any experience connecting a multicav monitor to their macbook.

The switch works fine for Low to High, High to low and color, however as soon as I try to switch 0-500 it doesn't select the product between 0 and 500 or the other between ranges.
I would like these switches to work as well.
