Setter method for custom action attributes

Hello,
I'm using Sun App server. The container is saying I need to implement a setter method for a custom action attribute? I defined a set<variable() and this didn't fix the problem. What kind of setter method is it expecting?

Have you written this tag in a tld or a tag file?
How have you declared the attribute "collection"?
Does the class which implements the custom tag <ssmb:list> have a method in it: public void setCollection(String collection) ?

          When I attempt to access a .jsp that is making use of a custom tag library that
          I've written I'm seeing the following message:
          "weblogic.servlet.jsp.JspException: (line 1): Error in using tag library uri='/WEB-INF/LSTreeControl.tld'
          prefix='tree':
          There is no setter method for property 'colIndex', for Tag class 'com.levelseas.core.web.tag.treecontrol.LSSubmitParamTag"
          The method has a signature of:
          "public void setColIndex(String index) throws JspTagException"
          and the Class has a number of sets defined on it and this is the only one that
          is being complained about. If I remove this attribute then no complaint!
          I'm new to bea but have been around jsp for a while so I'm wondering if this is
          a feature of wls 6.1 and would love to know a way around it.

This is the special function in LSMW, for empty field system will put / sign automatically, so you need not to worry about that.
FB007 Session 1 session name ZPROJ was opened It is opening session ZPROJ which is your project name/object name.
FB109 Trans. 1 : Transaction xd01 is not supported
Check out your field mapping and conversion rule for object.
FB013 ....Editing was terminated
It is not finding proper field mapping rule / file inputs so the sytem terminates the LSMW object.
Check your field mapping and conversion rule, check your source fields, save the file in tab delimited format.

Webserver - setting permissions for Custom Sites

Quick q on setting permissions for custom sites default. Default home for custom (non-default) web site is:
/Library/Server/Web/Data/Sites/
and whatever subdirectory you stipulate, e.g. MyServer - or whatever.
Server sets this as owner:

drwxrwxr-x 16 root admin 544 Mar 8 15:38 Default
For security, shouldn't the permissions and ownership be changed - to some webamin user WITHOUT root privs? Or will this break Lion Server? Thanks.

One option would be to disable the automatic Project Site Sync in the User Sync Settings Page, create custom permission levels and groups on your SharePoint Project site template(s) to meet your requirements - make use of default SharePoint groups where
possible, save the new template(s) and attach the new templates to the EPTs. Then develop a Project Server event handler that adds the users to the Project Site on the Publish event (or what ever event you like). The project owner one is simple - just add
the project owner to the new SharePoint group, project members - just read the project team and add those users and the visitors just add a domain AD group (Domain Users for example) to that group.

Are there any set guidelines for customer master data cleansing.

1) I was wondering if there are any set guidelines for customer master data cleansing.
2) Part of the cleansing effort involves consolidating number of divisions etc. Any pointers to this regard?
3) Also how do we deal with open docs, billing plans etc?

The data cleansing requirement will take place, while move the data from legacy system to new target ERP / system. I.e. need to cleanse, enrich, de-duplicate, & standardize.
The existing data may not have consistent format since it is often being derived from various sources. It may contain duplicate information as well missing or incomplete information. Cleanse and normalize content to achieve accuracy, consistency and proper understanding of the data.
Also its a process of organizing the data, which will ensure enrichment of your data which are up-to-date, accurate, and complete. These processes are manual / labor intensive and require a fair bit of specialization.

I have found this same problem in weblogic 8.1 and the only work around I saw was to have the same class in getter and setter both. ie if your tag is setting a String then when you write 'getter' it should return a String object.

Where is "Use F1-F12 for custom actions?"

Just upgraded to Tiger (10.4.8). In the Keyboard & Mouse pref panes there is no longer an option to "Use F1-F12 keys for custom actions" checkbox, yet reading the posts in this forum many people do have the checkbox. My Keyboard pref pane has "Key repeat rate", "Delay until repeat", "Type here to test settings", and "Modifier keys..." Panther had the "Use F1-F12" checkbox underneath these.

In Tiger, the checkbox is "Use the F1-F12 keys to control software features".

If you are using a PowerBook (or any other portable Macs) but you don't have this checkbox, then I think something is wrong in your System.

JAXB is not generating the setter method for my tag

I am generating java classes form my .xsd file using JAXB.
The xsd definition has defnes a Form as a sequence of FormElement, where FormElement is a choice of graphical components like text etc. Form can have 0 or unbounded elements of typeFormElement
Example
<xs:element ref="sswfm:FormElement" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded"/>
It is creating the getter method for this tag like this-
java.util.List getFormElement();
but does not create setter method, namely, setFormElements which I would like to use when marshalling from swing to XML.
If i remove the maxOccurs="unbounded, it is creating the setter method for this tag.But i want to keep this tag as it it and needs the setter method also.
What should i do? Has one tried this before. HELP if you can

Unable to find setter method for attribute: forceIdIndexFormula

When I try to use advanced dataTable tag and in particular the given property - I get the error.
What could it be?

In older versions of my faces "forceIdIndexFormula" , is not defined. So it errors out when u try to use it, since it doesnt know what forceIdIndexFormula is all about.
When u try to assign a value to a attribute it will call its corresponding setter method. Since it is not found it errors out.
The solution is you have to make use of the latest myfaces version which supports the forceIdIndexFormula attribute in the datatable.

Service Desk Unable to set status to Customer Action and Proposed Solution

Hi Everyone,
We are unable to set a service desk issue to the status Customer Action or Proposed solution.
I have someone create a new issue in the bakend system and when I receive the issue I assign it to myself as the processor. When I try to set teh status to Customer action it is grayed out.
I have checked the following:
1. As a test I assigned My user with sap_all profile so does not appear to be authroisation related
2. The status profile has all six standard values (New, customer action, In Process, Sent to SAP, Proposed Solution, Confirmed).
3. The transaction types have been defined using the standard profiles for Text Det. Procedure, Partnet Determination Procedure, Status Profile. The Partner Function ORG is set to Sold-To-Party , The date profile is a SRV_SLA_ITEM and the Action profile is set to SLFN0001_ADVANCED. The Org Data Prof is set to a customer defined one: ZSSC000000001.
4. I have checked transaction ppoma_crm and the org structure and my user is assigned to a team lead position.

please check your status profile for the "lowest status no." and "highest status no." values of the status values as Alex mentioned!
You can find this in SPRO under "SAP Solution Manager> Scenario-Specific Settings>Service Desk>Service Desk>Status Profile".
If the "high" value of the status "New" is lower than the status number of status "Customer Action" than you can not set the message from "New" to "Customer Action"!

You have to add the Service Offerings and the Request Offerings in the Catalog Group. Nesting doesn't work because Service Offerings and Request Offerings are different types of objects.
This offers the option the manage the access to Service Offerings and Request Offerings very granular if needed. For instance you can control access to a Service Offering in one Catalog Group related to one user role (A) and use two additional Catalog Groups
with different Request Offerings related to other user roles (B) and (C). Result will lead to:
User in Role A and B -> Can see Service Offerings A containing Request Offerings B
User in Role A and C -> Can see Service Offerings A containing Request Offerings C
User in Role A, B and C -> Can see Service Offerings A containing Request Offerings B and C
User in Role A only -> Don's see anything because of the missing permission on any Request Offering. So the "empty" Service Request won't show up in the portal.

QUESTION#1: Why is there no "set" method generated for ELEMENT "value07a" within the generated value07.java ???
QUESTION#2: How to I code the DTD/XJS in order to force the generation of a "set" method in value07.java???.

In Import procurement you hve separate pricing procedure, this you will assign to vendor.
Freight, Customs duties and others create as Planned delivery condition types. While defining the condition type you can define this option. Once you define in this way, while creating Purchase order against to tht condition type you can enter the vendor name(customs vendor).
For example Freight cost you hve to pay to C&F agent or FFAgent right ? In purchase order select the conditon type and click on details there you can enter the Vendor number. Like this do the same for custom duty condition types and enter customs vendor name.
In Invoice verification in MIRO select planned derivery costs then the system will show pop screen which contains the vendors entered against condition types. Select the required vendor (FFAgent for Freight charges, customs vendor for customs duties) and post the Invoice verification.
For material select Goods/Service items in MIRO, system by default it will take Imports vendor.
Before posting GR for import PO you hve to post the planned delivery costs in MIRO.

Why it cannot find the setter method for the attribute in my custom tag?

Hi, i have a custom tag like this:
<robin:category tModelKey="#{data.tModelKey}" > </robin:category>And in my tld file:
<tag>
 <name>category</name>
 <tag-class>category.component.HtmlCategoryTag</tag-class>
 <attribute>
 <name>tModelKey</name>
 <required>false</required>
 <rtexprvalue>false</rtexprvalue>
 <type>java.lang.String</type>
 </attribute>
</tag>
........................................and in my HtmlCategoryTag Class
public class HtmlCategoryTag extends HtmlPanelGridTag
private String tModelKey;
public String getTModelKey()
return tModelKey;
public void setTModelKey(String modelKey)
tModelKey = modelKey;
So,you see,generally speaking,to use a custom tag,we only to write a tag class,declare it in the tld file,nothing more.
What fints me is that if i change "tModelKey" to "test" and change the according part in the tag class , tld file and jsp file, the "setter not found" problem no longer exists,everything goes right!!!.
So why this happens? please help:)

Then you also need to create a UI element that extends HtmlPanelGrid
that has a tModelKey member and getters/setters. That object will hold
the information so that you can use it in your bean.Whoops... ignore that! Sorry. Attributes are simply stored in the component map component.getAttributes().
Add to your Tag class:
