Setting phones order in contact points
I have a fax and a phone as org level contacts.
Customer wanted to show the business phone first instead of fax.
How can I set the phone as first row in Communication tab?
It's always showing the FAX as the first row in Communications scrren.

The sliders are ordered deliberately in the fashion in which it is conducive for most people to work to achieve the best results. Yes, it will take some getting used to but not that long. Your results will be much better too.
This is a beta. Final optimization of code has yet to take place. It isn't surprising to find a pre-release 4 version running slower than a sixth iteration 3 version.
Custom points on the sliders are already available on the RGB and main histograms. Click the Point Curve button at the lower right of the Tone Curve panel When depressed, it will allow you to place, edit and delete points on the curve or the channel curves.

How to change the order of phone numbers in Contacts?
For the phone numbers for a specific contact on my iPhone, I may have: 1. work fax, 2. work, 3. home, 4. mobile. For the same contact synced on my Mac, I have, in Address Book: 1. home, 2. mobile, 3. work and 4. work fax. I obviously prefer to have Mobile first.
Is there a way to control and change the order of phone numbers for a contact on the iPhone?Before you sync your iPhone the next time, activate the option "sync addressbook" and "replace all Contacts on iPhone". The next sync will replace your contact info on your phone. From that point on all contact infos will be the same on your mac and and your phone. And changes or new infos will also be seen on both systems.

How to open standard New Contact Dialog and set phone for it on WIndows Phone 8.1
It is not possible to add contact to strandard collection. You can add contact only to your application collection. But if your application will be removed you will lost all it contacs.
That's why I want to open standard windows phone 8.1 dialog for adding new contact user and set Phone in it.

In iCloud you have the ability to NOT format phone numbers of contacts; this ability is not available on the contacts of iPhone. If I set-up a phone number in iCloud with NO parenthesis, ex. 123- 456-7899, then this format should be available on the iPhone contact.
That is correct is doesn't. Standardized formatting of phone numbers in the iOS app is more important because it supports contact from a variety of locations (gmail, hotmail, etc.). iCloud doesn't (not directly).

My daughter and i share the same Apple ID account and I cloud account but I just unwittingly merged them on my Iphone 5s. Now i have all her contacts and my own. I want to delete hers from my phone and stop from her receiving my emails and my contacts. Can i fix both problems without erasing my contacts on my phone and her contacts from her ipod?

I got my phone a couple of years ago and when it came in the mail, I wasn't home so my brother decided to set up my iPhone for me because he was so desperate to check the phone out. My iCloud account has been his account and it's been set up under his e-mail since the day I got my phone. Once he bought an iPhone, he set it up under the same e-mail account and now we share it. It's so annoying because all of my pictures and stuff are stored in my iCloud, but that's under his e-mail and I really want a new iCloud account but I want to transfer all of my iCloud information and pictures to my e-mail without losing them. Randomly, my brother has been receiving some of my facetime calls and I even turned it off so that it is only set on my device. I didn't even know he received any of my facetime calls until the other day when my friend told me. Now, our contacts are shared and I don't want that either. At one point during the summer, he was receiving my text messages as well. I turned all of those off under settings so they wouldn't be shared on his device, but I need to find a way to carry my iCloud stuff and set it up in a my own completely separate account. Please, please help me. I really am getting so frustrated with it and neither of us want to delete our accounts because we don't want to lose our iCloud stuff. -
Exchange Active Sync loses email address, phone when sync contacts
I have a Treo 680 running Palm OS Garnet 5.4.9 and Versamail 3.5.2 Software version TREO680-1.03-CNG. We just implemented Exchange 2007 and the phone syncs great for the email and calendar. But, contacts are flaky. If I add an email address to a contact on the Exchange side, it never comes to the device. Instead, the email gets deleted on the Exchange side. If I add it on the Treo side, the contact updates. It appears that the contact is a one way sync and the Palm always wins! Email and Calendar are syncing both ways?? I am syncing the tasks via the USB and that works fine as well, Any ideas why Contacts seems to be one sided???

if you decide to fix it do these steps:
READ EVERYTHING BEFORE PROCEEDING
1. Export your data as a .CSV fie by:
a. click file in outlook
b. click import and export
c. export to a file
d. comma separated values (windows)
e. highlight your main contacts then hit next
f. hit browse and locate a directory to save your file then hit next
g. hit map custom fields, then hit default map, hit OK then, hit finish.
After exporting Delete all your contacts, If your not comfortable with that copy all your contacts to another folder. But make sure you empty out your Contacts folder.
On the Phone side you need to delete your email (EAS) account, so that it will also clean out your contacts. (double check if contacts are deleted, if not, a hardreset must be done)
Bottom Line. Both Outlook and Phone Contacts must be cleared out. before proceeding.
When contacts on the phone are gone, set up your email (EAS) again (at this point no contacts should exist on the device and outlook)
After sync and emails and calendar are transferred, try putting a dummy data both on the phone and outlook contacts, Sync twice then check if data transferred on both places.
(there is no reason for it not to)
If data in contacts are syncing Import back the contacts to outlook by:
a. click file in outlook
b. click import and export
c. Import from another program or file
d. comma separated values (windows)
e. Hit browse then locate where the file was exported, highlight then hit OK
f. Leave it in "Allow Duplicates" then hit next
g. Highlight your main contacts then hit next.
This should import back all you data, after thats done try to do another Sync..

How can I get the phone numbers in contacts to appear with dashes between the first 3 numbers, the next 3 numbers, and the last 4 numbers? Until very recently
it did so. Contacts on my macbook pro does show up this way. I do have a mobile me account and in the past syncing was no problem. What setting has changed?The phone number format as well as the date language and format and the time format are controlled by the Region Format setting. Go to Settings > General >International > Region Format. When you change a region format, you can go back one page (to International) and see an example of the date/time/phone number format that your selected region format will produce.

I have 2 iphones registered under same account, but both phones had different contacts in them, somehow icloud duplicated, exchanged them, and I turned off the icloud on one of them, while doing that it asked me if I want to keep them on my phone or not. I pressed the one saying not to keep them. All apps, all paid and free apps include DRM protection which is tied to the Apple ID that was used to download the apps. How can I set up a second Contacts folder on my IPhone
I have an Iphone and a Palm Pilot. I want to stop carring the Palm, and have the contacts there put on the IPhone.
I came upon Plaxo, which would allow me to sync from desktops and laptops to the net, as well as syncing with my IPhone.
However, it appears that Plaxo will sync with the IPhone Contact folder, then wipe out the subset of numbers I keep there. I want to keep the contacts separate - especially because of the ringer tone controls.
Is there a way to create a second contact folder that I can sync with Plaxo, which will keep separate the current IPhone contacts in my existing Contacts folder?
My existing contacts folder was created, in a way I which I knew, when I got the phone. It is a 3G, using 4.2.1 (8C148)..If I can not set up a second Contacts folder, does anybody have an alternative way of having contact information that a person could see the information from an Outlook Format available for viewing?

How do I create a custom sound/vibration profile per app, SMS text, phone, or email contact?
I have a Verizon iPhone 4s recently upgraded to iOS 7. I'm an IT engineer who's on call and started a new job last week with a company that doesn't provide company phones like a blackberry. So now I get tons of company email alerts, text messages, and phone calls both private and for work. I always have my phone switched to vibrate to filter out the noise of generic emails/texts/phone calls, but I also need to be able to configure specific emails sent from our network monitoring servers, text messages from my teammates and alerting devices, as well as phone calls from our internal tech support to be sent with sound. Ideally I also need to be able to configure alert options in an "On-call" profile I can switch on so that I can configure alert repeats and the most annoying noise I can find so I don't sleep through network pages.. But I still want to be able to keep the default vibrate for everyone else and everything else.. How do I create a custom sound/vibration profile per app, SMS text, phone, or email contact? In blackberry's, you can easily create different profiles to switch back/forth and configure each app/text/phone option to either a sound option or vibrate. iPhone seems to be all vibrate or all sound, with little to no options to mix/match the two.. If Apple ever hopes to truly capture the enterprise market blackberry has, this is the most standard and essential feature on blackberries for IT professionals.. If I have to buy a third-party app for this, so be it. But I've been searching for hours and found nothing that creates customized sound/vibrate profiles for iPhone like this (minus jailbreaking your phone, but I shouldn't have to jailbreak a $699 "smartphone" for simple sound/vibrate/alert options like this..).
Yeah Appke wants to be like RIM (Blackberry) who is sinking fast and their devices will be door stops.

As far as I can tell with my iphone what you want to do is not possible. There are sites that tell you how to make different ringtones for the device but your choices to change sounds for email and text/sms messages are controlled unders sounds in the setting menu. Again the manual is on your phone and online if you need assistance changing sounds and ringtones.
