Setting priority for WL Triggers

Hi,
We are developing a huge application using WL 5.1 and JDK 1.2.2. We have 5-6
Weblogic Scheduled Triggers that are running at different time.
The rest of the application almost comes to halt or slows down when the
triggers are scheduled. Is there a way to set priority for the those
Triggers? Like can i say in weblogic that run triggers in low priority? If
so, how?
Thanks for the help in advance.
regards,
Prabhakar Babu

At the current time, no.
Thanks,
Michael

  • Snow and setting priority for voip voice packets?

    I have an engine Voice Box 2 connected to my dual ethernet base station, for voip phone calls using a 1500kbps broadband connection. It all works fine, except sometimes the voice quality of phone calls isn't good - drop-outs occur. Engin support tells me there is a way to configure an airport BS to give priority to voice packet data over other internet data data, and this will improve the voice quality.
    Is this possible with a snow BS, and if so how do I do it?

    OK, Duane and anyone else. My question has been answered via telephone from Apple Australia, on Thursday 22 Feb 2007 at local time 9.01 pm. The answer is: There is no way that any version of an Airport BS can be set to prioritize voip voice packets over other internet packets of data.
    Apple Supporters in other countries may disagree (not a surprise). I've been a Mac user since the first 1984 64K Mac, and I've not been too impressed with Apple phone service during the last 20+ years, so if another Apple tech elsewhere comes up with a different answer I would not be at all surprised.
    So, first premise is my voip provider gave me incorrect info. Second one is maybe someone else gave them the incorrect info. One guess and no prizes as to whom this may have been.
    Bigger surprise is that Apple seems oblivious to how popular voip phone is going to be in the immediate future, and that Mac users are likely to receive inferior quality voice quality and have no way to improve this by tweaking their Airports.

  • E2000 setting priority is not working for one PC

    my home has a max download speed of 300 KB/s. which can make gaming quite an issue if someone in the house starts using something that is a bit of a drain on the bandwidth.
    i fixed the issue for a few months by setting the gaming console to be the only device with high priority. but for some reason my sisters hp laptop still drains all the bandwidth shen he loads youtube. and the only way to stop it is a mac address block on that computer so the game isnt literally frozen still.
    i need to figure out how to get the priority working against this device.

    In this section, you can set the bandwidth priority for a variety of applications and devices. There are four levels priority: High, Medium, Normal, or Low. When you set priority, do not set all applications to High, because this will defeat the purpose of allocating the available bandwidth. If you want to select below normal bandwidth, select Low. Depending on the application, a few attempts may be needed to set the appropriate bandwidth priority.

  • How to set the priority for Commit Server?

    Hi all,
    I want to know how to set up the priority for committing documents.
    I'm having two different odc applications and i want to commit documents belongs to one application (URGENT) as soon as it has complete the indexing. (I'm running commit server every second for this (URGENT) application).
    But once the commit server start to commit batches belongs to one application it continues until finishes, and then only it switch to the URGENT application even though indexed documents are there.I have tested with batch priority, Batch status fields in commit server.
    What is exactly happen in setting batch priority ?
    How do i switch commit serve to run urgent batches (which is belongs to another application) as soon as indexed??
    I can use ODC or ODDC.
    Thank You.....

    Don't worry - I'm more think aloud, so it is more a hypothesis than a solution.
    You write that
    We are using ODC to Index the documentsWhat exactly does this mean? If it means that a user types in metadata values, then you could take a look whether those metadata are needed for the item to be checked in (like the mentioned security group), or whether it is "other" metadata (e.g. supplier, invoice number, etc.) that you could, in theory, fill in in your application in IPM - imagine that you use IPM to check in the document and all you have is a TIFF.
    Btw. you also write that
    (we) use Input agent to sent documents to IPMI thought that ODC (Commit Profile) does this work for you, or not? If you use ODC to commit to a disk, and Input agent to get it from a disk to IPM, how about using a direct commit profile to IPM?

  • Is there any way I may set low resources priority for a specific job or even all SQL jobs?

    Is there any way I may set low resources priority for a specific job or even all SQL jobs?
    Our database is quite big and everything works OK and very fast, except SQL jobs which are used mainly for maintenance purposes.
    I have one specific job which runs for 2 minutes and takes a lot of resources which may affect execution of other stored procedure which should be executed fast.The worst part is that this job has to be executed during the most active working hours. It does
    not matter for me how long will it take to execute this job. I just do not want it to use so much resources.
    Also I noticed when SQL backup job (takes about 4 minute) is scheduled it also takes a lot of resources and sometimes because of that I am receiving "login timeout" error on my web site.

     depending on you sql server version and edition, you can use resource governor and limit the cpu and memory.
    in most typical cases , you can use the session user name and times and classify the how much cpu and memory they can use. refer : https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc645892.aspx
    but in your case, the problem seems to be with the maintenance jobs which could run as sql server service account.
    also, if the backup are third party tool backup, you can specify the priority level and other options etc to make it less priority.
    it is possible to do that even with native backups such as specifying the limiting buffercount, max transfer size, if the server is memory pressured. sometimes, stripping the backups to multiple sets across different devices, could help as well. even though
    stripping the backups can introduce another complexity.
    may be you need to rethink you back up\recovery strategy.
    Hope it Helps!!

  • How to set Priority of JMS message in the Receiver adapter

    Hi,
    How can I set the priority of message going to MQ in the receiver JMS adapter. I tried to set a value in the <b>JMS message Priroty</b> field. But it is not working.
    In the receiving  queue manager the default priority of the queue which receives data is set to 0.
    Can anyone suggest how to get this done.
    Thanks in Advance
    Abinash

    Hi Ravi,
    If I am not wrong You are referring to article <b>Queues for Prioritized Message</b>. But this is about how to Prioritize message inside XI.
    What I am intresetd in is to set a message priority (for example "2")for the message going to MQ. That is when the message reached the detination queue the priority of this message should be 2 in the queue.
    Thanks

  • Can't set PropagatedNamespaces for XmlDsigC14NTransform

    Can't set PropagatedNamespaces for XmlDsigC14NTransform. This is my source code:
    XmlDsigC14NTransform^ c12n = gcnew XmlDsigC14NTransform();System::Collections::Hashtable^ hashtable = gcnew System::Collections::Hashtable();hashtable->Add("xsi", "http://namespace");c12n->PropagatedNamespaces = hashtable;
    Under c12n on the last line it says:
    System::Collections::Hashtable ^System::Security::Cryptography::Xml::PropagatedNamespaces::get()
    Error: property "System::Security::Cryptography::Xml::PropagatedNamespaces" (declared in "C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\System.Security.dll") has no 'set' accessor
    This is very weird because in XmlDsigC14NTransform Class description it says "Gets
    or sets a Hashtable object
    that contains the namespaces that are propagated into the signature" under PropagatedNamespaces property.
    I'm using Visual Studio 2013 and the project has been set for NET Framework 4.0.
    Is there any way around it?

    Hello,
    >>This is very weird because in XmlDsigC14NTransform Class description it says "Gets or sets a Hashtable object that contains the namespaces that are propagated into the signature" under PropagatedNamespaces property.
    In my opinion, this description should be correct, as we can see, it says:
    The PropagatedNamespaces property is set automatically
    during signature computation and checking, but before transforms are invoked.
    So I think the Set function is automatically done during signature computation and could not be set manually. However, from its provided description and syntax, it might make people confused, I have submit a feedback to this MSDN site:
    http://feedback.msdn.com/forums/257782-msdn-feature-suggestions/suggestions/7186278-transform-propagatednamespaces-mismatch-between-i
    You could vote it so that its priority could be improved.
    >> Is there any way around it?
    Since as it describes, this property is set automatically during signature computation, manual action is not possible.

  • Priority for Automatic Proccesses in Oracle BPM 10.3

    Hi,
    I'm completely new to the BPM space, and I was just transferred to a team that's using Oracle BPM 10.3, so my apologies if this is a trivial question.
    Does anyone know how to implement priority for automatic activities in Oracle BPM 10.3? Basically, I want high priority instances to be processed before low priority ones.
    I tried kicking off several instances in a loop with the "priority" variable set to different values, with an automatic activity that would log the instance and its priority, and the begin state limiting the process to a single concurrent instance at a time. It did not look like these instance were processed in priority order.
    Thanks!

    The priority predefined variable is an integer that goes from 1 to 5. The visible corresponding values for these integer values when shown to the end user in the WorkSpace run from "Lowest" (1) to "Highest" (5).
    You typically use priority in a view or filter for the Workspace. You'd set the priority column in the WorkSpace to be sorted descending so that the higher the priority, the closer it is to the top of the end user's queue.
    Unless your view or filter is set to show all activity types currently in the process, the only work item instances shown in the WorkSpace are Interactive activities . The benefit to setting a priority to work item instances is that the end users are encouraged to work the interactive work item instances from the top of the list down.
    Bottom line is that the priority predefined variable helps end users sort / prioritize their work, but does not cause the engine to sort the work it has to do with work item instances running in Automatic activities.
    If you have a batch fully automatic process that takes a while to run, I could see a use case where you might want to sort the list of incoming work item instances. If it's a typical process with a mix of automatic and interactive activities, automatic actiivities take a much smaller percentage of time than the interactives do. Work item instances running inside automatic activities normally don't take much time and the need for prioritization doesn't come up. What's your use case where you need to prioritize them?

  • How do I set priority of a While Loop in RT in a FP2010?

    Sorry about a duplicate post. I could not find my post from last night.
    I want to run a vi with 2 while loops in my FP-2010 with different priorities. One is time critical running a PID, the other is low priority for communications with a PC host.
    How do I set the priorities?
    Thanks,
    Chris

    Put the two loops in two different VIs.  Go to the VI properties and set the priority there under Execution priorities.
    In other words, you can set the priority at the VI level and not at the While-loop level.  However, if you want this at the loop level, you may want to take a look at the new Timed Loops.
    Hope this helps.

  • Setting Qos for the Cisco C20plus codec endpoints.

    My company has implemented a cisco video conferencing system using the Cisco C20plus codecs as H323 endpoints.
    We currently utilise the Optus evolve network (MPLS) for our WAN
    Our network WAN utilises Qos per VLAN settings.
    For example, phones are in their own VLANs per site and the video conferencing system has its own VLAN.
    We policy map ACLs to the following Qos classes specified by Optus in order of priority (Highest to lowest):
     Gold-RT
     Gold-NRT
     Silver-NRT3
     Silver-NRT2
     Silver-NRT1
     Default
    Cisco recommend that Gold-RT is reserved for audio (phones) so I would like to set the C20plus video and audio traffic in the Gold-NRT class.
    This class has the DSCP bits set to af42 which is more than ample priority for the video conferencing traffic.
    Can anyone tell me what ports I need to specify in a permit statement in the Gold-NRT ACL to apply dscp af42 to the video and audio traffic please?
    All C20plus endpoints RTP ports range are set to 2326 - 2486 so I will need a UDP permit statement for those ports for the C20plus endpoint ip address.
    Are these the only ports that I need add to the Gold-NRT ACL?

    As Dejan has said, this question would be better placed in the TelePresence section of the forums where endpoints such as the C20 are discussed.
    In any case, if you set your switch ports to trust the DSCP markings on the packets, the tags themselves can be applied on the endpoint.
    If you go to the web interface of the C20 and log in, then go to Configuration > System Configuration > Network.
    Scroll down near the bottom and you'll find the QoS section.  Here you can set the Mode to "Diffserv" and set each of the individual values as required, ie, if you want AF42, enter 36 in the field (see the Assured Forwarding table on wikipedia for other value mappings).

  • How can I change the default process priority for plugin-container?

    I'm on Windows XP and using Firefox 16.0.2.
    While browsing the web I often listen to pandora, but the music playback is always choppy or jerky. It especially occurs when scrolling pages up/down on other tabs. I saw on another question - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/930496 - that one solution is to change the plugin-container.exe priority to AboveNormal. I've done this several times and it works really well!!
    I also tried changing the firefox.exe priority up and down, but this is ineffective (choppy playback problem still occurs). It is very much related to the plugin-container priority.
    Please could you provide an about:config option to set the default process priority for the plugin-container. It would make a big difference for those users who have the problem. Thanks!

    thanks
    i also found solution for my poblem:
    i have this code:
    jMenuItem jMnItEdit;
    jMnItEdit.setAccelerator( KeyStroke.getKeyStroke(java.awt.event.KeyEvent.VK_ENTER, 0));
    also i had ActionListener bounded to this JMenuItem
    but Ialso had in form JTable and it always grabbed my VK_ENTER event and that menu item wasn't working at all
    but when i overrode that input map for JTable and set
    tableInputMap.put(KeyStroke.getKeyStroke(KeyEvent.VK_ENTER, 0, false), "none");
    everything started to work perfectly,
    thanks a lot

  • Setting values for non-displayed fields on a Tabular Form

    I'm having a problem setting non-displayed fields on the same table as displayed fields like last_update_date, last_updated_by, id's and other fields when creating new records or updating existing records in a Tabular form.
    What is the best and easiest way to set these values without using database triggers?

    Hi Jes,
    I'm a little reluctant to use database triggers as I used this product a couple of years ago and I'm fairly sure I handled this problem in HTML DB without the use of triggers. I am therefore I'm getting a touch frustrated that I can't remember how to do it now !!
    Do you know of any way of setting values for non-displayed fields on a Tabular Form without using database triggers?
    Also, you seem to be suggesting that database triggers is the best way to do this?
    Thanks

  • How can I set priority on an individual email in my inbox?

    I have the Priority column open in Thunderbird, but I can't set the priority. How can I do this?

    'Tools' > 'Message filters'
    * click on 'New'
    * give filter a name
    Apply filter filter when:
    * select: 'Manually Run'
    * Select: 'Getting new mail'
    if you want to check for and remove junk first.
    * select: 'filter after junk classification',
    If there is only one condition or if you want to use more conditions that say 'A' AND 'B' must occur.
    * select 'Match all of the following'
    If there is more than one condition or if you want to use two more conditions that say 'A' OR 'B' must occur.
    * select 'Match any of the following'
    you will need to work out what condition(s) need to be met, such as:
    example:
    'FROM' and 'IS' and 'email address'
    to set another condition click on the small +
    Perform this action:
    'Set Priority to' and 'Highest'
    * click on OK to save the filter.
    * make sure it is enabled.
    Message filters run in the order listed. So you need to make sure that you do not have another filter positioned above that filter which could filter emails before the second filter can work.
