SG500's with seperate DHCP device

I have (2) Cisco SG500's, native stacked using the S1/S2 ports. The first switch IP is still 192.168.1.254. The manufacturer of the equipment I am installing requires a TP-Link wireless router functioning as DHCP server for the devices (50 plus). What I am stuck on is whether to enable DHCP snooping? Relay? Options?

If my memory is correct the SG500 will act as a DHCP server by default?
I would just turn off the DHCP server on the SG500 and set a static address on your switch so you know where it is when you want to configure it.
You can then connect up your TP-Link and allow it to be the DHCP server for the network.

BBM5 and problems with 2 x devices

Not sure where to post this so putting it as a new thread
I have 2 x Blackberries, one business and one personal, one is a 9700 on Orange Uk and regarding BBM 5, it is remotely backed up to the BB device e mail (***@blackberry.orange.co.uk)
My second Blackberry is a Curve 8900, again running BBM 5, and backed up to a seperate e mail account (***@mobileemail.vodafone.net). This as you may have gathered is on Vodafone
My problem is that my contact list is being wiped from one device when I activate it from the other!! Specifically restiring via e mail, I do not have any local contact back up and I dont really want to have to re enter all of the contacts on whichever device is not restored!!
It is extremely frustrating and I cannot see why this would happen given that there are number of degrees of seperation between the two devices.
Can anyone help me?

Very very odd.
Look on BOTH devices at Options > Advanced > Service Books.
Do you see the email address from the OTHER device on EITHER device?
What about at Options > Advanced > Default Services?
Can you delete BBMessenger from both device?
I would suggest this: Use your BlackBerry Messenger function to backup your contacts you have now, and also, do a complete backup using Desktop manager.
Then, go to Options > Advanced > Applications and scroll the Messenger application and don't click on it, just scroll to it. Click Menu > Delete and remove the application.
Now, do a reboot: With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.
Finally, use your BlackBerry browser to go to http://blackberry.com/blackberrymessenger and download/install the Messenger application again.
After installation and possibly another reboot, check your Instant Messaging Folder, or Downloads folder for the application.
You can restore your contacts from the BBM v.5 application or from the Desktop Manager > Backup/Restore > Advanced.
Then to restore from remote, you should see the email address to choose to do so.

Can I synch the IOS5 created picture folders with other ios5 devices or my pc?

Situation
I have tons of pictures, and i'm constantly taking more.
I love my iphone4 for taking pics and videos, and my ipad2 for viewing them.
I also use my pc for backing up and viewing
IOS 5 now allows me to create picture albums (aka folders) directly on my device, lets say the Ipad2
Problem
I cannot figure out a way to sync any of the pictures in the ios5 folders from my ipad2 with any other device, beit the cloud, the pc or my ip4.
Solution
I'd love for my ios5 to also synch these new folders and the pics within them, and not just the stream.
Similarly, i'd like my pc to pick up on this and also add the folders as well as the pics.
Anyone have an idea for a fix, workaround or app that would help?

After weeks of testing, i found the solution of my question. It´s quiet simply!!
1º iPhone (3G Internet acess) connected to Mac mini by USB or BlueTooth or WiFi.
2ª in Mac mini must be activated in "Preferencias", "Compartir", the option "Compartir Internet",
     "Compartir Conexión desde":   iPhone USB or Bluetooth PAN
     "Con otros Ordenadores vía": Ethernet
3º Ethernet cable must be connected from Mac mini to Time Capsule !!
4º In Time Capsule "Internet": connect by: DHCP
                             "Network": bridged
Nothing more!!! Sooooo simply!!
After this, Windows XP SP3 connect without problem over TC´s WiFi or Ethernet to the Internet!
Also other Devices like IPad, or other iPhone, etc.
Of course it can be a created a WiFi connection (PPP) between the iPhone and the Mac
and it´s working to.
But ALWAYS, by changing the connection mode, must be changed the Thethering mode.
In- and Out-Going!

5508 DHCP questions, 2 seperate DHCP's/subnet's possible?

I have my 5508 setup so that the management/APmanagement port is connected to a switch on vlanXX unsing port 1 active and 2 as failover.
Then i have a guest interface setup using port 3 and 4 for failover connected to a different switch with its own DHCP.
The Guest Wlan is not picking up a DHCP address and i'm guessing that that is because its sending the request across the management interface? which has no route to the Guest switch with the dhcp server?
How can i get the guest lan to work with a seperate DHCP server on a different subnet?

I wanted to add a few additional informational points that may help you understanding proxy and not to proxy.
When DHCP proxy is enable. The DHCP request from the wireless client is sent unicast from the WLC interface that receives it on behalf of the client. Example -- if your guest WLC interface is 192.168.1.10 -- If you sniff this traffic you would see a unicast frame leaving the WLC to your DHCP from 192.168.1.10 on behalf of your wireless client. This is a problem when you use a FW for a DHCP server. FWs dont like this . Also this means that no IP HELPER is needed on the SVI interface.
When DHCP proxy is disabled. Normal IP helper flow happens. The client will broadcast for a DHCP, the WLC will send it to the router and the router will forward to the helper / DHCP server.
The managment interface is not in play UNLESS you use the WLC AS A DHCP SERVER.

#Yes, you can use internal dhcp server on WLC-2500 to lease IPs to the connected APs using L2/Broadcast, once AP gets an ip then you can make those IPs as static on those APs via check box from AP's general tab after it joins the WLC.
#Remeber, WLC dhcp doesn't support option 43, if the AP and WLC management are L3, be sure to use ip-helper at L3 for wlc discovery. Also, don't think AP may receive ip from WLC dhcp server when it is L3 and dhcp proxy is used instead of broadcast.

I've had an iPad for almost two years. When I purchased an iPhone last fall I set it up to use the same Apple ID as my iPhone. I've had no problems doing this. Try resetting each device and see what happens.
First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

I looked thru alot of these posts on here to try and resolve this problem myself but it's not working too well...I downloaded Itunes to my desktop so I can right click it with the program i downloaded called WinRAR. I extracted it and then went into the folder called Itunes64setup. I saw the file called AppleMobileDeviceSupport64 in there so I began to try and download it on it's own. Well that didn't work as I planned and got this error message:
Apple Mobile Device Support wasn't installed on your computer. The installer encountered errors before Apple Mobile Device Support could be configured. Your system has not been modified. To retry these operations at a later time,please run the installer again.
Well I tried to run it again and came up with the same message...I see that some people got great support to help them so I am hoping someone can help me as well. I know "b nor" is very qualfied and hopefully can help me! Please advise what I can do. Thank you

i have two laptops. both are authorized for use with my ios devices. one is authorized for use with my ipod nano 5th generation and the other one is authorized with my ipad3 and iphone 5. i am manually managing the itunes in my 2nd laptop in case of my iphone. now what i want is to transfer my ipod library from the 1st laptop to the 2nd laptops itunes and deauthorize the 1st laptop. is that possible? please help, as it is getting harder for me to manage two itunes in two different laptops.

I have been blocked from my own ITunes songs because my apple ID associated with too many devices

I cannot access songs from my own iTunes Apple ID because it says my iPhone has been associated with too many devices. I have to wait 90 days to access my own songs on my iPhone. Here is what happend:
1-Our family moved. So, with the address change, the credit cards on all of the apple ID's would no longer work because the other users had our old address. (I have 4 users in the family).
2-My family started calling me while I was out of town complaining that purchases were rejected. This was because our address had changed and it no longer matched.
3-I tried to walk them thru the process of changing the home address on the credit card, but they couldn't do it. They assured me that they were doing it correctly and were still rejected.
4-So, being the techie of the family, I simply logged into each of their iTunes accounts from my iPhone while I was out of town and made the address change. While I was in their accounts, I noticed they didn't have automatic downloads and iTunes match and stuff. So, I changed it so it would work for them when they logged back in.
5-I go back to log into my own account on my iphone and I cannot access my own songs on the iTunes cloud for 90 days!!!! This is quite disappointing.
How can I get this corrected? I tried to reset user settings (not a erase and reset). I figure it's not my phone, but my iTunes account thinks I'm doing something sharing-wise.
So, in summary, when I am on my iPhone and I go to my iTunes library and click on a song (that I have paid for) with the cloud and down arrow beside it, it's rejected. It says that I have too many apple id's associated with this device and I must wait 90 days. It counts down each day.
I just want access to the music I paid FOR!!

Let me restate what I have to endure, even though I own the music and have paid for iTunes Match:
I cannot access my purchases-zero-at all
I have to listen to never ending McDonald's latte commercials and progressive insurance. I have now banned both of those annoying businesses and will not make purchases there.
In summary, I have given apple my minded, and have zero to show for it.
Ps-you get to hear the McDonald's "love hate commercial" every 2 songs on iTunes Radio. I have substituted the words where I hate McDonald's and love when the commercial is over.

How do you change the Apple ID associated with an iOS device?

So…I made the mistake of putting the wrong Apple ID (I have three – don't ask) on my iOS devices. If I try to change the Apple ID on my Mac, it wants to erase everything that I have on my Mac that is also stored on the iCloud. That is not a good solution. So, I want to change the Apple ID associated with my iOS devices (far less to lose there). The problem is that niether of my iOS devices will let me change the Apple ID associated with them – at least not that I can find.
Does anyone know how to do that so I can get my Mac on the same page with my iPhone/iPad?

Another answer is you cannot. Items purchased with one AppleID cannot be transferred to a different account.

How can I share only a specific playlist with another family device?

I purchased an iPod Touch for my Dad for Christmas. I am trying to share only a selected playlist with the new device without synching everything that I have on my iPhone and iPad to his device. I have turned on home sharing but can't figure out how to limit the automatic sync that kicks off when I plug the new iPod into my PC. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately the support is down at the moment, I will have a better look later. I did go though the Apple support previously, however I found nothing that worked.
The first thread I came across was “Home Sharing” however no mater what I did, it did not appear in the iTunes sharing list (I did go though the “Show Sharing Networks” support as well)
Secondly, I saw “Using A Single Library With Multiple Accounts On The Same PC” (Something like that) but all this did was let us share the same music location, if I was to rip extra music, it will not show in there library

You need OSX 10.7.2 or higher in order to access icloud. The mobile me account is now defunct (it closed down more than a year ago).

Somehow my MacBookPro iCloud account has a different name and password from my other devices. Even my date of birth is listed incorrectly. I have tried but can't seem to change this info to match up with my other devices. Can someone help?

Not sure when mobile me changed, but it was this weekend that my storage etc. lapsed (I have paid to keep storage with icloud). So i assume this has something to with it stopping.
