Shell Script gives error when run through cron job.
Hi,
The following shell script runs without any problem when executed manulally.
USED=$(df -h /arch | tail -1 | awk '{print $5}' | cut -d '%' -f 1)
if [ ${USED} -gt 90 ]
then
find /arch/AUBUAT/ -type f -mtime +0 | xargs rm
find /arch/AUBMIG/ -type f -mtime +0 | xargs rm
fi
But the same gives below error when called from a cron job:
/backup/arch_test.sh: syntax error at line 1: `USED=$' unexpected
We are running following version:
bash-3.00$ uname -a
SunOS uaeaubdbdr01.aub.af 5.10 Generic_141444-09 sun4u sparc SUNW,SPARC-Enterprise
Kindly assist.
Thanks

Hi,

bash-3.00$ ./arch_test.sh
./arch_test.sh: syntax error at line 2: `USED=$' unexpected
And when I used #!/usr/bin/ksh the manual execution runs fine but again when the script is run from cronjob it now give dirrect err:
/backup/arch_test.sh[2]: df: not found
/backup/arch_test.sh[2]: tail: not found
/backup/arch_test.sh[2]: cut: not found

Oracle Recovery Manager completed with errors.
Does anyone know what the problem is and why it only gives the error when it is scheduled and not otherwise?
Thanks in advance.Hi user629987,
The error comes from the following line
backup incremental level <incr_level>(found "format": expecting one of: "equal, integer"
see link:
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/server.920/a96565/rcmsynta9.htm#78484)
Can you replace it with
backup incremental level 0and retry?
Might be you have to adjust your format string to avoid <, > and : characters.

Tomcat error when run through Eclipse IDE :- java.util.MissingResourceExcep
Friends,
I get the following error while running the tomcat from my eclipse IDE(com.sysdeo.eclipse.tomcat_3.2.1) .
If i try running my tomcat with an application through the command line , it runs fine .... can anybody please guide .?
The error is as follows :-
[b]
Can't find bundle for base name EnvironmentResources_XXXXLocalhostDev, locale en_GB
java.util.MissingResourceException: Can't find bundle for base name EnvironmentResources_XXXXXxLocalhostDev, locale en_GBPutting the driver into [TOMCAT]/common/lib is sufficient.
The error I think is not related to finding the driver, but actually not retrieving the correct connection string info.
I never had much luck putting this definition info into server.xml
I have had success putting it into a custom context.xml file for a web app as described [url http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-5.5-doc/config/context.html]here
in individual files (with a ".xml" extension) in the $CATALINA_HOME/conf/[enginename]/[hostname]/ directory. The name of the file (less the .xml) extension will be used as the context path. Multi-level context paths may be defined using #, e.g. context#path.xml. The default web application may be defined by using a file called ROOT.xml.
eg [TOMCAT]/conf/catalina/localhost/DataSourceExample.xml
Hope this helps,

Get a connection error when running a BODS job
Hi All,
I have BODS system setup in my environment. There are quite some jobs that run everyday. The jobs have stopped running since the last days. The jobs arn't failing, but they do not run.
When I try to Execute a job, I get the error "Connection Refused: connection". When I Test the connection from BODS to CMS, it is working fine. Also, from the BODS/BO server I am able to connect/ping to the DataStore servers. My Datastores are SQL servers and ECC also.
I do not know what is the resolution for the issue.
Thanks,
AmritaHi Manoj,
We recognized the issue was at the OS level, in the "Data Services"-OS Service.
The BODS jobs are running fine now.
Thanks,
Amrita -
Loading script "script path-name" failed (0xC0000006) error when running scripts from DFS
We have this issue where any number of random scripts that execute at startup will produce the following error when run from DFS:
The status code for this error equates to STATUS_IN_PAGE_ERROR - The instruction at 0x%p referenced memory at 0x%p. The required data was not placed into memory because of an I/O error status of 0x%x.
This does not always happen each time and the script can be random. If we move the script(s) to a non DFS, we do not see this. I believe the issue is being caused by a minute disconnect to the DFS for whatever script is attempting to execute at that
moment. This happens across a few (consistent) offices on different computers.
Any ideas?Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that you run scripts in a shared folder which is added to a DFS Namespace, then the error prompt. However, you can run the scripts when you directly access the shared folder.
What scripts did you run? Is there any error message in the Event Log? If so, please provide us the detailed error message for our further research.
Best Regards,
Mandy

Missing Sub VI error when running Application.exe in development PC
Hi,
I have created an application(exe) on my computer, which is also where I have also designed the different blocks of code for this application.
All the blocks of code work just fine when made to run through Labview 2013 development software. After adding all the VI files associated with the project in the project explorer of a new project and configuring the build specifications, I was able to create the executable. But, when I try running this executable/application(.exe) file, I get the missing subVI message. I found that some of these missing sub VIs are the Instrument driver VIs which work absolutely fine when run through the LabVIEW development sofware.
How can I resolve this issue?
Attachment "Error Screenshot" shows the Missing sub VI message.
Attachment "Project & Error Screenshot" shows the Missing sub VI message along with the list of dependencies in the project, which shows the error being displayed eventhough the sub VI is present in the dependency list.
Any comments in this regard are highly appreciated.

Vivek

Thanks for your comment Jeff,
But what about the 'subBuildXYGraph.vi', 'Waveform Array To Dynamic.vi' and other such VI's in the attached error message that are not a part of the Rohde and Schwarz drivers but are included in the vi.lib folder? Ideally, labview must be able to find/trace atleast these VIs while performing the build procedure, right?
Vivek
If they are (Non dynamically called)-dependancies of always included dynamic calls, Yes, the build will include them.
I hate to say it but, Start with the rs dynamic vis and keep adding if that meerely helps reduce the list of the missing vis.

Error when running allocation logic
I am running the following allocation logic and get the following error:
*RUNALLOCATION
*FACTOR=USING/TOTAL
*DIM P_ACCT WHAT=CE0004010; WHERE=CE0004020; USING=CE0004030; TOTAL=<<<
*DIM ENTITY WHAT=A1000; WHERE=<<<; USING=<<<; TOTAL=<<<
*DIM TIME WHAT=2009.JAN; WHERE=>>>; USING=BAS(2009.TOTAL); TOTAL=<<<
*ENDALLOCATION
UJP_RULE_EXCEPTION:Missing [] on property name: WHAT=CE0004010. I get this error when executing the script using the program "UJK_SCRIPT_LOGIC_TESTER". I also get a similar error when running it via the data manager package.
Any thoughts on why this error is happening?Hi Sanjay,
I think you are using formula property for any of the dimension member used in the Allocation logic.
FYI Allocation will not work fine for the dimension members which is calculated using the formula written in the formula Property.
There is no problem with your script it looks fine.
Hope this might help you.

Getting error when running process flows in oem
Hi all,
I'm trying to run a process flow in oem (using oem_exec_template.sql script), but it keeps failing with error "nms-1013: sqlplus does not exist". I tried running a map too and it failed with same message.
Any idea anyone?
Thanks!
YanetHi,
Looks like you have an obvious code error, invalid cast operation in your code. Do you get this error when running in local emulator.
You can try the following article on how to debug published cloud service, assuming you have VS ultimate.

Win 7 automation error when running crystal 10 reports
I am getting automation and memory type errors when running crystal 10 reports through a VB6 application on WIN 7 32 bit PC...
does not happen on all win7 PCs, in fact, the reporting will work for a time and then errors, but once getting the errors, seems like the reports will not run again.Honestly, not a clue. I've never even thought of putting CR 10 (designer or runtime) on WIN 7. Now I assume this is not CR 10.5 (bundles with .NET 2008).

Solution Manager 7.1 - Monitor scripts which runs as cron job at OS level ?
Hi All,
We have Solution Manager 7.1 in our landscape and we have configured RCA, Monitoring.. Is it possible to Monitor the scripts running as Cron Job at the OS level?
If in case, the script stops due to an issue, we need to get the alert in Solution Manager.
Also can you please let us know whether it is possible to monitor jobs scheduled through external job scheduling tool.
Thanks & Regards,
Vaishali.KHi,
How to Schedule the background Job at the OS level:
Invoke a sapevent using a OS script and then have a SAP background job set to run on a sapevent. I say this assuming Unix and a job in crontab. I would guess the same thing could be done on a Windows system.
sapevt TRIGGER_NAME -t

Kindly go through the links, hope this will help you out
