Shift planning per personnel areas??

hi,
my requirements is to implement shift planning per personnel area not organization unit!
i have created profile for object type IZ(personnel area) instead  of O(organization unit.
the question is what is the relationship type and evaluation path??
Thanks in advance for your help,

Hi,
There are plenty of entries that have to be maintained during Personnel Area maintenance. One of them is assignment to a country grouping. Probably this entry is missing for you.
The best practice when you create new personnel area is to copy it from existing one. So I suggest you to do the same - copy the one that you already have to the new ones. Then you will save a lot of time.
Cheers

  • Is there any methods upload shift plan by personal number?

In SAP,with T-CODE pp61 we only can maintain shift plan with org unit.Is there any method to batch input shift plan per. employee?thank in advance!!!

    Hi,
Shift Planning is completely Object ddriven from OM sidea and all the shift are stored in the substitutions infotypes 2003,
This is much better to use batch data thru this screen rather than maintaininig in infotype 2003. Becasue when you maintain it via 2003 it has lot of fields and cumbsesome.
    Hope i am helpful.

  • Standard reporting for personnel areas per org. unit

    Hi all
An HR colleague asked me for a tool to display a selected organisational unit and then show what personnel area it belongs to. They are cleaning up our master data and need this kind of cross checking but I cannot come up with any list to show this.
How would you do it? Do I have to build a query for it or is there an easier way?

  • Shift Abbreviations in Shift Planning

    Hello gurus,
    Anyone ever experienced this?
i need to update It2003 with a period work schedule rule and not the Daily work schedule rule and it looks as though this is SAP STD that you can only work wirh DWS in shift planning.
Anyone with some crancking idea of how i can overcome this?

    Dears...
I am already using the Enhancement package 4 and business function LOG_PP_SRN_CONF is already activated. But still Shift field is not appearing the confirmation screen (CO11N). Even in the "Single screen entry of confirmations" configuration also (transaction OPK0 in Default tab) Shift and shift grouping fields are in INACTIVE mode. Please let me know... how can make it active. So that I can use the shift field in CO11N transaction.
If you need any clarification please let me know.

  • Set trip currency according to personnel area

We have a consolidated worldwide operations into one company code (in the US) but this company holds many employees who reside in other countries. We have set up a personnel area for each country, although all are assigned to the US01 company code. These employees are paid in their local currency (e.g. GBP, EUR, HKD) via local payroll companies. Expenses are recorded manually via journal entry.
I would like to set up these employees to use travel management, but I cannot find a way to set travel expenses/trip currency according to their personnel area. In other words, I wish to reimburse my UK employee in GBP, Europeans in EUR, etc. When I try to change Trip Provision Variant for one personnel area, I receive an error message and am forced to change it for all personnel areas.
The only solution I can find is to change Global Settings such that foreign settlement of receipts is set to "per receipt". I find this to be risky since the change would affect my 300+ US users as well as my 10-20 non-US users. I am concerned that a US user may complete their receipts incorrectly for foreign trips and inadvertently force reimbursement in foreign currencies.
    Please advise ...

    Hi Michele
Yes, you can find out the currency from T500P and then checking the WAERS in T500.
In the screenshot above, the departure country(or home country) is Philippines and the visiting country is Singapore.
So when the employee arrives in SG, the receipt amount is shown in SGD and a comparable amount in PHP is also shown(As the amount has be reimbursed in PHP). It automatically factors into account that day's  currency conversion rate for SGD->PHP.
You may want to check the parameter RECEIPTS for amount in local currency in the method USER_CHECK_RECEIPTS of the BAdi : TRIP_WEB_CHECK.
Now all you need to do is to check if the employee's home country currency isn't equal to the receipt currency(left one in the screenshot), process the local currency(right one in the screenshot). Works well for single line item.
For multiple line items, add up the amount of local currency of all line items and process.
NB: USER_CHECK_RECEIPTS works for multiple line items in receipt page of expense report whereas USER_CHECK_LINE_OF_RECEIPTS works when you know the receipt won't contain more than 1 expense type. So better implement USER_CHECK_RECEIPTS to avoid processing only the first line item. Company's gain, employee's pain
Do note that this BAdi works only for portal and not for SAP GUI.
I hope you are abap developer.

  • Changing personnel area/subarea (IT1008) from org unit to position

We are live with PA and Org. Mgmt, but have been advised to change the infotype 1008 data - personnel area and subarea to be stored on the position instead of the org unit (where we have it now).  A big reason for this is we have cases when we need to overwrite the personnel subarea at the position level.  For example, a position belonging to an org unit with subarea ABCD, may really be in subarea WXYZ.  Therefore, even though the org unit is ABCD, it will be overwritten at the position level to WXYZ.  My understanding is that the RHINTE30 program will not work approrpiately if we are maintaining the data this way.
In transaction PPOME there is an account assignment tab on the org unit with cost center (filled in) and personnel area/subarea (which will be blank moving forward since that data won't be maintained on the org unit).  Then, there is also an account assignment tab on the position with cost center inherited from the org unit (sometimes needing to be overwritten at the position level), and the personnel area/subarea data.  My question is how should I handle the view of PPOME for this data?  Can I hide the personnel area and subarea on the account assignment tab for the org units only so it is not confusing for the users?  The problem with having it this way is that personnel area and subarea are blank on the org unit and filled on on the position.  They are conflicting and both visable/maintainable to the User.  Any advise please?  Thanks!

    Hi Nish,
I gave you my input on your other related message and now will go for this one.
As I commented on the other message, RHINTE30 will not integrate infotypes 1008 and 1013. So you don't have to worry about using this functionality (first part of your message).
On the second part (personnel area / subarea on position rather than org unit): there are some considerations here that are more functional / process driven than technical. From a technical point of view, everything can be done. You can hide data from infotype 1008 on the tabstrip for your org. unit using dynpro handling, even via customizing. You can even transfer the data from infotype 1008 on the org. units to the positions or delimit it on the org units. There are some quite easy ways of achieving this using the LMSW tool (have you used it? I can forward some documentation).
But personally, I would not recommend to do this from a process point of view. Everything in SAP HR is about the inheritance concept, and I think this works very well when it comes to org. units and positions. It is normally advisable to record personnel area / subarea on the org. unit level. This will be inherited by positions (even if you cannot see it at position level in PPOME) and thus defaulted for the employee. At position level you should handle only the exceptions, which will be in turn also defaulted for the employee holding the position. In this way, data maintenance is minimized. If you delete (or do not use from now on) information about infotype 1008 on org. unit level, your HR department will have to maintain this every time a position is created, and even in cases in which a position is shifted from one org. unit to another one.
In my opinion, you should address this with your HR department and explain the concept and the consequences of maintaining all at position level. It would only be advisable to do it if the org. unit structure is very cross-personnel areas and subareas. If it is a matter of handling exceptions, again, I would recommend to continue recording this data at org. unit level. All in all, if the data is not recorded on the position and you need to see which is its personnel area, you just need to double-click on the org. unit above.
Just wanted to let you know my opinion, of course it's your decision. By the way, I'm of course not aware of other possible implications like home-developed reporting and so on.

    Rodrigo

  • Incorrect combinations for personnel area and personnel subare

    Hi all,
we are getting incorrect combinations for personnel area and personnel subarea in the Target and as well in report.
we are using standard datasources 0PERS_AREA_TEXT and 0PERS_SAREA_TEXT, we are extracting only masterdata text from ECC, Not maintaining Attibute and Hierarchy for personnel area and personnel subarea.
we created (Actions overview) report on top of standard DSO 0PA_DS12 extracted from data source 0HR_PA_1,
Actually some of employees are changed on xxxx.xx.xx date from one personnel area to another personnel area with respective subarea's, but here employee personnel area are coming correctly but not for subarea.
what i need to do now?
can any one help out in this..
    Thanks in advance.
    Thanks,
    Sri

    Hi,
In this context we will have two senarios.
    1. Displaying the Personal Area and Personal Sub Area from Transactional data.
    2. Displaying from Master Data.
If you choose Scenario 1 then, Personal Area and Personal Sub Area will be shown as per ECC entry. But in second scenario, If one Personal area or Personal Sub Area changed over a period of time that will effect the historical data also.
For Example if your Personal Sub Area changed on Apr 1, 2011.
Scenario 1: Report will be as per ECC Data ( from Apr 1, 2011 onwards it will show new Personal Sub Area).
Scenario 2: Report will show new Personal Sub Area of Personal Area for entire data.
    Hope this will help you.
    Regards,
    Chenna.

  • How to Create Personnel Area

    All HCM (HR) Community -

    Maintain what is required.
    Then SAVE.
The navigation path supplied earlier also leads to Personnel Subareas, Employee Groups, and Employee Subgroups. These may already be defined. If not, you need may help brainstorming the ultimate requirements for the future. One of the things to consider is whether or not you are now or will be using the Payroll module. Personnel subareas could be used to define the shift on which an employee works if youu2019ll have people doing shift work. Employee group and subgroup fields sound like a good place to define direct and indirect employees.
Navigate as follows to assign a Personnel Area to a Company Code:
Enterprise Structure > Assignment > Human Resources Management > Assignment of Personnel Area to Company Code
If you are running payroll in the US, Personnel Area is the basis for accumulating wage and tax information by legal entity. The Tax Company Code is SAP terminology for the legal entity. To assign a Personnel Area to a Tax Company Code, navigate as follows:
Payroll > Payroll: USA > Tax > Tax Companies > Assign tax company to personnel area
You may find the following Wiki helpful, although it doesnu2019t directly relate to creating Personnel Areas. The URL is:

  • Personnel area according to Company Code

    Hi,
We have 2 different company codes. I want the personnel areas list available in the list of values for reports etc, should be corresponding to the company code of the employee.
I would not want to do restrict this through Personal list.
    How can this be controlled?
    Regards
    Yashika

    Hi,
You can try creating an adhoc query wherein you give Complany Code as the selection criteria and get the personnel area as per the Company Code. However, if you want multiple Company Code details in the same report, please use the sort function in the report display page of Adhoc query (You will have to provide Company Code both in the selection as well as in the display).
    With Regards,

  • New plant created, how to create/configure personnel area & sub area for it

    Hi Gurus,
I am very new to SAP HR, our clinet has plans to open a new plant for their organization.
Now we need to create a personnel area and personnel sub area.
Can you please explain how to configure the Personnel area and sub area through SPRO for the new plant?
Also, is it neccessary to assign the newly created PA and PSA to already present employee subgroups?
    Thanks in advance.
    Akash.

    Hi,
You can create PA & PSA thru
    spro : Enterprise structure - Definition - HRM - PA & PSA
spro : Enterprise structure - Assignemnt - HRM - PA to CC.
There is no direct relationship between a plant and PA&PSA info.
You can either create PAs inline with your plants or not.
It depends on your firms's enterprise structure.
There is no assignemnt between PA & PSA and employee groups.
You need to only assign newly created PA to company code.
    Regards,
    Dilek

  • Shift Planning-Target Plan

Hi, for the target plan used in shift planning, is it used for substitution like:
for example in a shoe store, 3 employees needs to apply for leave due to personal reasons. Hence, under the indicator for shift plan, we select the  shift substitution whereby it is used for assigning a particular group of employees to this particular store to cover up a shortage of manpower.
Is the taget plan is used for substitution of shift like Employee Group A to substitute those employees that are on leave?
How does the target plan works?
    Thks:)

    Thanks:)

  • Shift planning PP61

    Hi experts,
I'm not quite clear about how to use and config PP61.
Is shift planning used for time admins arranging for employees who don't have fixed work schedule?
Does that mean, for those employees who has fixed work schedules, there won't be possible to use PP61?
Are "shift planning" and "work schedule rule setting" two different functions for different types employees?
Or they can be used for one type of employees?
The screenshot below only shows * for each day for the selected employee. Is it because I still need to do some configurations in IMG?
    Thanks a lot!!
    YF

    hai sandeep,
In PP61 we have to select either target plan or actual plan and also there are radio buttons for selecting the periods, how do you automate the data upload,i think there is only one field to upload (organizational unit )only then what about other parameters,if it is possible to upload all the parameters, let me know.
