Shipment and billing interdependancy

Hi Gurus,
We have following process flow
SO-> Outbound dely --> shipment --> Invoicing
We need to ensure that one should not be able to post invoice if shipment for the same outbound is not posted.
I have tried in development client and you can do invoice even if shipment is not done . Do system has any such interlock or how it can be achieved.?
Regards
Vivek

Hi,
The standard process is that billing documents are referring to deliveries and not to shipments. Shipment document is aside for transportation operations.
If you would like to apply transportation status check when creating billing documents, you might need to add this to copy control (VTFL) requirements.
Still, the question is what should happen if one of the deliveries is not included into shipments? Would you reject the whole billing document, or rather only skip this particular item?

  • Need a report that shows sales shipments and billing by date

We need a report that will show sales shipment and billing information by date.  Specifically, we need to find orders that were shipped in one month/period, but were not invoiced until the next month/period.  Does a standard report exist?

I dont think it is possible. You will have to customize.
For list of deliveries, you can use VL06O.
For billing due list, you can use VF04.

  • Shipment and Bill of lading

I have a problem with few Export shipments, where the shipments have already started and moving and stuck at the border before they have been updated in SAP. Bill of lading shows different from few sap orders and few items are in scheduled status.
How to go about it, plz advice.
    Regards!

Hi, thanks for your answer but it is not what I was looking for...I would not post this question in here when I had to ask this to an abap coder
    Maybe someone else can clarify?
I almost have an answer to my own question so I'll continue my research and also hoping someone can clarify what I stated above.
Points will be rewarded when someone gives the correct answer.

  • Cross-Company Stock Transfer with Delivery and Billing

    Hello Fellow Experts and Friends,
I have a situation at a client in California. The client does Make-to-Order sales. The only materials kept in inventory are raw materials and NREs. This client has plants in several countries around the world but only two are on SAP. The current version is 4.6C.
The scenario goes like this. The plant in China (CC: 2020, Plnt: 0020) wants to order raw materials from the US plant (CC: 1010, Plnt: 0010). If the US plant does not have enough stock in inventory, an order needs to be placed with a local vendor. When all materials a re available to ship,we need to deliver to and invoice the China plant. Additionally, shipment notification needs to be sent to the plant in China.
IWould someone please be so kind as to helpme with a "Best Practice" process flow for Cross-Company STO with Delivery and Billing? I also need guidlines for customizing the process in the IMG. This process must include issuing a PO to a local vendor for ordering additional inventory. For the shipment notification, I was thinking of an EDI Advance Shipment Notice if the receiving plant uses EDI. I need a different option, If the receiving palnt does not use EDI.
I am open to your suggestions.
    Thanks,
    AJ

    Arthur,
Once this is correctly set up it works very, very well.  And the cross-company supply scenario is actually fairly simple, streamlined and automated.  However, this is NOT such a simple process to set up.
True cross-company supply, all the way through, requires a LOT of configuration which ties in SD, MM, FI, and EDI.  It uses "wrap-around" IDocs to do some of the cross-posting in other company codes.  There is also the issue of Intercompany markups, as well as Intercompany eliminations.
There are LOTS of folks who do the painful process of the FULL Order to Cash in one company code, and the full Purchase to Pay in the other.  But this is NOT the right solution and requires almost twice as much transaction processing.
Just for the Intercompany setup, start to finish, I've been working on a "cookbook" to set up all of the modules for almost 10 years now.  I've done it several times, at several companies and it works very well once it is all in place.  However, that cookbook document is about 100 pages long (config settings, IMG settings, master data requirements, EDI settings, etc.).
Also, in your scenario you are talking about multi-sourcing parts from other locations.  All of the related MRP settings are a separate setup issue.
What you are asking is WAYYYYyyy beyond the scope of forum posting.  So if your company or client could use some help, please feel free to contact me.

  • Excise invoice in INR and Billing document in EURO.development issue.

    Dear All
its  intersesting development i came accross please help if u have came accross this before.
in my scenario i am having a  client who placed an order from Europe and the currency is in EURO  and we have to deliver it to a client who is in india.
so  bill to party's currency is EURO and Ship to party is in INR.
the excise invoice has to be prepared in INR but it made with refferance to billing so it will take Euro.
so for this how to creat the excise invoice inINR and billing in EURO.
i have jotted some idea's bellow
    please help
The excise invoice is prepared on the basis of the delivery document so it may conceder the ship to party currency also.
As you know the accounting document for the excise invoice is made with respect to billing document but if the billing document is not having the delivery document then it will not generate any accounting document for this. So you do some testing with ship to party as India then we can see what the effect is coming to it.
    Regards
    Subrat

    Dear Subrat
Your excise invoice currency will always be in Company Code currency and assuming that it is INR in your case, if you generate excise invoice, the currency will also be in INR.
    thanks

how can i use my account without the billing info, as i do not have a credit card. and my shipping and billing info is under US. i'm in singapore. how do i change this?

If you are just visiting Singapore, then leave the account as it is. If you have moved there, then view your account using the iTunes app on a Mac or PC and change the country/region to your current location and address. If you do not have a bank card, you can fund your account using iTunes gift cards if available in Singapore.

  • Google Play and Bill my Telstra account

If you're a Telstra mobile customer with an Android device, you can now bill your Google Play purchases (such as apps, games, movies, books and even music) to your Telstra account. Or if you're on Telstra Pre-Paid you can pay for your Google Play purchases from your main account balance, providing you have sufficient funds available.
Charge an app to your Telstra bill or pay with your pre-paid recharge credit
You will firstly need to have a registered Google Play account. Then follow the below steps to successfully bill an app, movie, game, book or music to your Telstra account:
    Step 1
Choose your app, book, movie, music or game
    Step 2
    Click Accept and Buy
    Step 3
    Select Bill my Telstra account
    Step 4
    Confirm your billing details
    Step 5
Click Accept and Buy Once your payment has been authorised you can then open the app, game, movie, music or book
Note:To purchase via your Pre- Paid account you will need sufficient funds available from your main account balance to cover your purchase. You are not able to use your Bonus Cap Credit to purchase apps, books, movies, games or music.
Things you should know about 'bill my Telstra account
You can set your spend limit to $0 which will grey out the 'Bill my Telstra' account option. You will still be able to pay for items via credit card. You will need to call us on 13 22 00 to set up or change the spend limits.
Your 'Bill my Telstra account' is greyed out because the content that you are about to purchase has exceeded the limit for carrier billing which is set to $100. Please use a credit card to complete your purchase. Alternatively you can increase the per month limit by calling us on 125 111. This can be increased to $500 per month but has to be done in $100 increments. Pre-paid customers have a $500 per month content spend limit.
Your 'Bill my Telstra account' is greyed out when the content that you are about to purchase has exceeded the content spend limit for a one off' app, book, game, music or movie purchase using Bill my Telstra account as a payment option. This limit is set to $100 and can't be increased. If you want to purchase items over this amount you need to use a credit card.
You can set your 'Bill my Telstra account' for Google Play or other BigPond content services spend limit to $0. This will restrict the service from purchasing any app, movie, book, game, music or BigPond content service like AFL Live.
Google Play can identify you as a Telstra customer from your SIM card, so even if you bring your own device (BYO) to Telstra you'll still be able to access Bill my Telstra account.
Bill my Telstra account won't work outside of Australia. You can however use your credit card to purchase apps. Make sure you set up International Roaming before you leave Australia and or take up an International Roaming Data Pack. Pre-Paid customers international roaming is automatically activated.
Bill my Telstra account for Google Play content includes in-app purchases.
Free downloads or credit card transactions will not appear on your bill, only charges using 'Bill my Telstra account' or any chargeable Google play transactions will appear on your bill.
You can check your list of purchases within your Google Play account. An email receipt from Google Play with an Order Number should also be sent to you when you make a purchase. Otherwise you can check your Telstra unbilled data by contacting us on 125 111; you can also view Pre-Paid usage - however, while our systems update regularly, as data is coming in from third parties, you should not necessarily expect data to always appear in our systems on the same day.
Bill my Telstra account for Digital Content Services is only available on devices with a SIM (e.g. not T-Hub), so you should have PIN security set. You also have the option of setting Google Play to request a log in for every purchase attempt.
Things you should know about downloading apps and downloaded apps, including app refunds
If you are logged in with your Gmail, then all the content you have downloaded (both paid and free) can be transferred between devices.
If you are moving from Pre-paid and have excess credit, you can use the credit to purchase Google Apps and transfer them to your new device before you migrate off your pre-paid service. But remember you need to choose an Android device on the Telstra network.
Once an app is installed, customers may be required to pay for premium elements such as live streaming, live events, live traffic for Navigation, credits for gaming etc. These are in-app purchases. A paid purchase is an outright payment to purchase that app, and that happens upfront before downloading.
Bill my Telstra account is limited to transactions under $100 each. A lot of shopping apps are free to download and these apps usually allow you to purchase large price items via credit card, Pay Pal and other new payment technologies due to the large dollar amount.
You have 15 minutes to return an App you don't want after the transaction and download has completed. There is a refund button within the app and process you need to follow to return the app. You won't be charged as long as you return the app within 15 minutes. This only supports App, Book, Movie, Game or music purchases, not in-App purchases like AFL Live or NRL Live monthly subscriptions.
You need to contact the app developer first, which can be done via email within the App. If the app doesn't work for your Android device they are obliged to agree to refund the money. If they do agree to a refund, a process between the app developer, Google and Telstra will be triggered.
If the app developer rejects your request, you can contact Telstra directly by calling the customer care number on your Telstra bill and we will discuss options to refund your money. However, you must first contact the developer and provide proof they have rejected the claim.
Telstra processes refunds from Google weekly. If a refund was requested within a week of the customer's bill cycle, it may not appear until next month's bill cycle.
If there are multiple refunds in a month (e.g. for 2 games), the TOTAL refunds for the month will appear as ONE Google Play line item on the Telstra bill. This just appears as a generic 'Google Play' refund and does not name the individual items purchased. This is different to purchases which each appear as individual line items with the name of the item purchases.
Charging for Pre-paid is real time. If the application isn't up to standard and you return it you will have the recharge credit applied back to your account but only if you return it within 15 minutes It may take up to seven days for billing data to appear on your account but it should usually appear within 24 hours. Our systems update bill data every few hours.Google's advice is that billing data may come through in up to seven days but usually this happens within one day. Purchases made less than seven days before your bill cycle start date may not appear until the next month's bill.

  • Diffrence in incomming order qty and billing qty in cube 0sd_c03 & 0sd_c01

    Dear All.
i have uploaded 2 cubes 0SD_C01 & 0SD_C01 from our R/3 data, SAP recommed for 0SD_C03 for sales analysis and their best practice is also based on 0SD_C03  but it is very strange the values of both the cubes are not the same when i run the report but the values of 0SD_C01 is 100% same as R/3 values i.e. mcsi reports show the same incomming and billing qty as i can see in report for 0SD_C01 but strang to see in 0SD_C03 there is diffrence in these values.
can any one explain why did this happen as SAP recommed to use lbwe data sources and their best practice also base on 0SD_C03 and the other one i.e. 0SD_C01 is based on old LIS structures.
during exploration i come to know that in some material orders incomming and billing quantaties are same but diffrence in most of them.
any help will be highly appreciated.
    thanks & best regards,
    Zeeshan

    Hi,
There are somany Routines for Keyfigures in both Cubes, I hope you may using 0QUANT_B key figure for Qty, the reason is there may be some difernece in Routines in both cubes, so you need to check it tehn you check in teh reports, whether is there any restrictions, you need to iopen the each node and check i nthe both reports.
I also faced teh same problem with MCSI and BW reports, MCSI, we can customizi it an dut is just InfoStructure and having routines internally. So you need to take one material, plant and date where the diffrenece is coming then track it.
    Check OSS NOTES:
Note 166996 - BW InfoCube 0SD_C03: incorrect incoming order qty
Note 1156259 - Update rules incorrect for InfoCube 0SD_C03

  • Automatic Delivery, PGI and Billing

    Hi SD gurus,
Will appreciate the feedback on this. In standard SAP, upon creating and saving of sales order, we need to create outbound delivery ( and do picking for picking-relevant item ), then do PGI. Upon that, create billing document and save.
My question is, if upon creating and saving of sales order, I want to make the subsequent processes runs automatically, how can it be done ?
The triggering part from saving the sales order - can that be done via userexit ? If so, which userexit can I look into ?
For the automation of delivery, PGI issue and billing, are there any BAPI or userexit that can accomodate that ? If so, can anyone be kind enough to pinpoint to me how to locate it and if possible, what are the key things I need to look into ? I believe it can be done via BDC as well but I'm not too sure how to go around it.
Really looking forward to some valuable feedbacks here. Many thanks way in advance.
    Warmest Regards,
    Janice

    Hi Janie,
You can also create a BDC program where everything would be created on its own.You can take the help of ABAPer for this purpose.
It will also do the availability check and in your program you can create the logic that PGI would be done only if the confirmation date in the schedule line is today's date.
We ourselves have created the same scenario in our own project and it has worked really well.
                                               OR
Configure the sales order such that the delivery is created on saving the document. This can be achieved in sales order type.
Create a Batch job which does the subsequent steps.
On creation of delivery, use the function module 'ws_delivery_update' or 'SD_DELIVERY_UPDATE_PICKING_1' or 'BAPI_OUTB_DELIVERY_CONFIRM_DEC' [take the Help of an ABAPer] to perform the PGI. In the end use the transaction for billing due list to create the billing documents.
    Reward points if it works.
    Regards
    Karan

  • Different value in sales order and billing document for one line item

    Hi Experts,
User created a sales order with three line items say line item 10, line item 20, line30 and he did the delivery and billing also. Line item 10 value is 5024.26 EUR in Sales order
At the time of billing the value of a line item 10 is increased by 0.02 i.e. 5024.28
I asked the user cancel that invoice and the post goods issue. He cancelled the invoice and post goods issue. Then he created the PGI and billing now the value of line item decrease by 0.01(5024.27) again he cancelled the invoice and post goods issue. he created the post goods issue and billing. Now the value is correct i.e. 5024.26.
User is asking me the reason can any one help me in this
Note: price is copying from delivery to billing

    Morning Sunina
    Now consider this scenario
    Item a - 10
    Item b - 20
    Item c - 30
and the validity of condition rec for item C is 31st of Jan
after 31st JAN the record changes or there isn't any.
In Copy control the pricing type is 'B' i.e., carry out new pricing.
Now if the document is created in January it will take all the above prices. and this document is then billed in Feb. Now the copycontrol, whilst copying the prices, will predetermine the same.
Now your task is to check if there was user intervention, check the pricing in order and check what condition types got affected in order and in billing.
If your scenario is still not amongst the above cases...
I don't know what to do, if you figure out please let us also know, god know when we would face the same scenario....
    Take care

  • Difference in the excise invoice and Billing document value

    HI Experts,
I am working in a Excise based CIN scenario.
I am Abaper and wanted to solve an issue.
basically, We are creating billing document and then creating an excise invoice. but there is a diff between the excise invoice and billing value.
Any input will really help thanks...

    hi Lakshmipathi,
Sorry for the delay in replying.
This particular scenario happened to only some invoices which were generated in a day.
After that particular day, this didnt happen but would like to know why it has happened since we didnt want the same to happen again in future.
it is not the billing value. its it billing duty applied on the value.
    Please help.

  • Different amount in Contract and Billing document.

    Hi All,
We have a issue here, need suggestion.
We have a contract which has a billing plan. We have maintained monthly plans with a fixed amount.
Say we have $ 1000 in the contract, but the billing has been created with $ 900.
So you see the amounts are different in contract and billing document.
We have checked there are no recent pricing changes or any such changes that will have such effect. The invoice is created in May.
There were pricing changes in March but they had been corrected in March itself.
Let me know if anybody has faced such issue and where may be the issue.
    Regards,
    SB
Edited by: Satish Bharambe on Jun 2, 2011 11:43 PM

You would have to cross-check the Pricing at Item level in Contract & Invoice. Hope , it would help you to check the Base Price or some other Prices / Discounts.

  • Difference between invoice and billing document

    Hi ,
As an ABAPer , I am finding it very difficult to find the difference between the billing and invoice.
If both are different, then how these documents are configured.
    thanks
    Devi Reddy

    Hi,
No difference between invoice and billing document.
But If we want to inform the payable to the customer we use the terminalogy invoice.
Example Credit meomo, debit memo. etc ...
As there is no difference , both have the same document types.
