<b>Plants abroad:</b> Sales-specific settings
Description
If plants exist abroad for a company, i.e. in the same company code, (within the EU), the tax postings and the trade statistics for the goods flow between these plants are required for (INTRASTAT) internal EU trades statistics. In SD, this applies to replenishment and consignment.
You can meet these requirements by carrying out billing with special settings in pricing for the relevant transactions:
Because the INTRASTAT declarations were created using billing documents and the tax postings were created using financial accounting documents, billing documents are created for consignment fill-ups or pick-ups and replenishment deliveries although they are not relevant for billing. However, because there are no amounts the billing document has a total value of 0, obtained using a special pricing procedure (see below). INTRASTAT declarations and tax postings (the billing document is forwarded to FI) are created based on the resulting billing documents.
Do not make these settings if the plant abroad is not in the EU. All that is required is a pro-forma invoice.
Change system parameters in customizing
You can find Customizing for 'Plants abroad' in the IMG via 'Sales and Distribution/Basic functions/Taxes/Plants abroad "Plants abroad".)
A special pricing procedure (RVWIA1) is assigned to the new billing document (billing type WIA) defined for replenishment deliveries and consignments between EU countries. This pricing procedure has the following structure:
      1. Pricing condition (PR00)
      2. Input tax in destination country (based on pricing condition)
      3. Output tax in country of departure (that is, 0% on deliveries within the EU)
      4. 100% discount R100 (based on pricing condition)
      5. Output tax in destination country (based on the 100% discount)
This causes the total value of the billing document to be 0. The discount annulls the price. Input and output tax have the same percentage rate so that the total of the tax posting is zero and the total billing document has value 0.
Changes to the interface
Stock transfer
Replenishment deliveries between different EU countries are relevant for billing. The billing status is A.
The origin of the VAT registration number (billing header) has a new value: J
Consignment fill-up / pickup
Consignment fill-ups / pickups between different EU countries are relevant for billing. The billing status is A.
The origin of the VAT registration number (billing header) has a new value: J
During consignment fill-up, the coutry of the ship-to party is now used as the departure country country for tax determination.
Changes in procedure
Deliveries that occur as a result of a stock transfer order, can be billed if the delivering and receiving plants are in different EU countries and belong to the same company code.
Consignment fill-ups and pickups can be billed if the delivering plant is in an EU country and the consignment stores are in a different EU country. The consignment fill-up is then no longer relevant for the INTRASTAT declaration.
Condition records must be created for tax conditions WIA1, WIA2, and WIA3.
      1. WIA1: Input tax in country of destination.
The tax code for the tax determination procedure of departure country must agree with the tax code of the country of the company code. This is because the tax code is accessed via the company code country during forwarding to FI. The field 'reporting country' (that is - country of destination) must be maintained in the characteristics of the tax code.
      2. WIA2: Output tax in the country of departure (0 % for EU-internal deliveries)
      3. WIA3: Output tax in country of destination.
The tax code for the tax determination procedure of departure country must agree with the tax code of the country of the company code. This is because the tax code is accessed via the company code country during forwarding to FI. The field 'reporting country' (that is - country of destination) must be maintained in the characteristics of the tax code.
The total of the taxes has a value of 0. The total of the billing document also has a value of 0. The price is reduced by 100% using discount R100.
Procedure for removing dataset errors
Note:
When you maintain the tax indicator, remember that the tax indicator must be maintained at the same time in different tax determination procedures, or that you have to create a general tax determination procedure containing the tax indicators of the different relevant countries.
Please read the Release Note

  • Subcontracting and plants abroad

    Dear all,
I am facing the following problem:
My customer are using plant abroad functionality. They are VAT registered and have plants in almost all contries within European Union. The will start using subcontracting functionality in SAP and they have the following flow:
Material A and  B in plant 1107 in HUngary (where we are VAT registedred) are sent to subcontracting vendor in Netherlands. The subcontractor are creating material C out of material A and B and are sending material C to our plant 1107 in Austria (where we also are VAT registered). How is this flow handled from a plant abroad perspective?
IN plant 1107 in Austria we will receive an invoice from subcontracting vendor and will use tax indicator for reverse charge (input and output EC VAT posted in the same time when registering the invoice) but how do we handle when sending material A and B to subcontracting vendor? I suppose this should be reported as 0 % EC output VAT in Hungary but how can this be made? We are not having any WIA invoice?
    Best regards, Åsa

    hi Sunil,
"1. Create a Belgian plant as Plant abroad. That will change a lot. Can anyone answer what exactly? Will we be able to use MWST condition?"
==> I wonder if it would work the way you want to... but it is very difficult to tell without trying...
"2. Use 2 tax procedures for US company code. TAXUS and TAXBE. Is this posible using any config?"
==> this is definetly not possible
What I would do is to create a separate company code and assign the belgian tax processes to it. If it is not a separate legal entity you have to set up some cross-company processes.
    hope this helps

  • Shipment costs and storage locations

    Hello gurus,
I have got two questions concerning shipment costs:
    1. In my POs I would like the system to automatically find a condition for shipment costs (e.g. 10$ per item or 100$ per PO), so that I do not have to enter them manually. Obviously the ammount should depend on the vendor, material etc. All I found up to now are condition types FRA1 and FRA2, but both of them are manual condition types. Isn't there any way of automatically determining shipment costs in POs?
    2. One of our vendors does not charge any shipment costs, if the value of all items for one storage location exceeds 200$.
    Example:
    item   value    storage loc.
    0010   10$      1000
    0020  180$     1000
    0030   20$      1000
    0040   50$      1100
No shipment costs are charged for items 10-30, because the overall value of the three items is 210$, but for item 40 shipment costs are charged, because the item is for a different storage location.
Is there any way to generate this behavior in SAP?
    Thanks in advance
    Alicia

You can automatically enter the shipment cost based onthe vendor and material
    1) you can enter them in the info record so it would be defualt in the PO. in this case you don't have to enter manually but this will be not check your PO item value
    2) you can create the conditon in the m/06 as like freight conditon and create the access sequence based onthe combination you want e.g. vendor and material and enter this access sequence in conditon type oyu have created and maintian that in your pricing so sytem will automatically determine the moment you create PO for this vendor and mateirla combination
but as per your secind scenarion where you have to do the total and than determine that the shipment charge is applicable or not
this will required custom logic to populate the conditon based onthe calculation of the item level total.

  • Foreign Tax Reporting and Plant Abroad

    Hi,
While looking into Plant Abroad documentation, I found that it mostly speak about European Union nations.
Does this work for a US Company having a warehouse in Brazil (one of the places with most complex taxes)?
(I think Plant Abroad is a misnomer, ideally it should have been something like Foreign location tax set up!)
    Regards
    BBC

    Hello Thierry,
I have a related problem but different than yours. I have 8 European company codes in scope and we are struggling to choose separate tax procedure for each country versus TAXEUR for all countries (Belgium, UK, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy and Luxembourg).
If we have the following tax codes:
    G1 - UK VAT
    G2 - UK VAT 0%
    B1 - Belgian VAT
    B2 - Belgian VAT
We want to maintain VK11 condition and FTXP settings for G1 and G2 in UK only and not in Belgium.
Similarly, we want to maintain B1 and B2 in BE only and not in UK using TAXEUR.
If we use separate tax procedures TAXB for Belgium and TAXGB for UK. Using TAXEUR we hope that the tax codes maintenance should be simplified. There is a "reporting country" field inside FTXP tax code properties and this should be used to identify the tax code to a particular country.
Unfortunately using the TAXEUR and with the above mentioned settings, the invoice is not getting release to accounting until we extend the tax codes to both the countries.
How was your experience and do you have a solution?
    Thanks a lot

  • MAP with Shipment Costs and Import Duties

Our company orders raw material from foreign companies and we need to include the cost of shipping and import duties for the raw material in the moving average price of the raw material when entered into the system? Can this be automated? How can this be achieved if not? Any ideas would be appreciated.
    Thank you

    Hi,
Have u included the import condition types in your purchase orders. Then system automatically calculates the Import duties . If there is any difference between your planned import duty and actual import duty. You can settle the same through subsequent credit and subsequent debit funcionality in MIRO transaction.
Hope this helps, Please reward points as way of thanks.

  • Re: Shipment Cost configration and settings

    Hi
Can any one send me <b>configuration and setting of shipment cost and settlement</b> of shipment cost.
    E mail id: [email protected]
    Points will be rewarded.
    regards
    Prasanna R

    Hi Raju,
Please find below the complete doc on Shipment Cost:
Shipment cost in shipping contains create the shipment cost doc., process the shipment, monitor the shipment, calculate the shipment and settle the shipment.
Shipment cost doc. contains calculate the shipment, assign to accounting, transfer to FI and settle the shipment cost.
Shipment cost doc. divided into header, item and sub item data.
We need to assign transportation planning point to com. code to calculate and settle the shipment cost.
    1. Define date rules:- In this IMG activity you define the date rules that determine which dates are chosen for determining the pricing date and the settlement date and the sequence in which they are accessed. The dates can be, for example, the end of transportation planning or the start of lading.
    2. Define and assign tariff zones:-In this IMG activity, you define the tariff zones and assign postal code areas to the tariff zones for each organizational key. The tariff zones are represent geographical influencing factors during the calculation of shipment costs.
    3. Define no. ranges for shipment cost:-In this IMG activity you define the number interval for the shipment cost documents. When creating a shipment cost document, a unique number is generated. The number comes from the number range that you create in this menu point as the internal number range.
You can also create an external number range. The option to specify a number from the external number range when creating the shipment cost document is, however, not currently supported.
    4. Shipcost types and item cat.:-In this IMG activity, you define the shipment cost types and item categories that contain all important control features for the shipment cost document, such as:
    Number range
Status requirements for the shipment documents
    Parameters for shipment costing
    Parameters for shipment settlement
5.shipcost relevance and default for shipcost types:-In this IMG activity you assign the shipment cost types to the shipment types and set an indicator to show whether the cost type is relevant to shipment costing. You do this for every cost type in every shipment type. .
    Example
For the 'individual shipment' shipment type, you set the indicator for the cost types shipment header and leg, but not for the cost types border crossing or load transfer point. You also assign a shipment cost type to the shipment type. When you create a shipment cost document, this shipment cost type is determined automatically.
    6. Settlement:-
Certain control elements must be maintained for calculating shipment costs with the transportation service agent and for forwarding of shipment costs to FI and CO.
you can maintain these control elements and carry out the corresponding assignments.
    -- Assign purchasing data
    --maintain acc. assignment cat.
    --automatic G/L acc. determination
    --automatic determination of CO assignments
    --invoices and credit memos

The process of calculating the shipment costs for a shipment.

  • VI01(shipment cost)

    hi to all..!
can any one help me on "shipment cost"...(VI01)? what exactly shipment cost ? how it will work?
    thanks
    rodick

    Hi,
      Let me explain with eg:
Company have the plant in US & their Canada customer (all partner functions r same)places order for goods.
Now the goods has to be delivered from US to Canada.
in this case, Incoterms will play the key role, how the goods has to be delievered?
Say goods flow will be through "Sea" way- from US port to Canada port.
    Transporation steps:-
1-goods has to be moved from US plant to US port
2-from US port to Canada port
    3-from Canada port to Customer
transportation 1 will be bare by the comp
    2&3 will by customer.
where company will deliver the goods from US port to Canada port
company will take service from the 3rd party(vendor/forwarding agent)
to deliver the goods to Canada port & the this charge will be
collected from customer & paid to the vendor.
while creating delivery- will assign the vendor name
in delivery header - partners tab ( if th vendor isnt same always)
will create the delivery. Before PGI will create shipment
doc(VT01n) means deliveries will be collected which flows
from the same shipment mode like sea.
Service PO - ML81N has to generate for this vendor- this is an
agreement with the vendor for one year.
Service PO 12 line items indicates each per month.
Condition record will be captured/copied from Cond master data
maintianed in Tcode:TK11- based on transportation zone basis.
then shipment cost document -VI01 will create with ref to
the shipment document & its specific to the vendor.
once save the shipment cost document, service acceptance-SES doc will generate
    and released to FI.
Now, we have to do MIRO-Vendor invoice verification-
once invioce verified - amount will be settled to the vendor
this is nothing but frieght amount incurred to transport the
    goods to the customer.
when creating billing doc- this freight amount will be charged from the customer.
this is the std transportation flow.
    Hope it clears.

  • VI01 - Shipment Costs (combining Deliveries from the Shipment)

    Hello experts
Do you know how to combine (consolidate) the shipment costing line item (VI01) when there are more than one Delivery to the same customer in the Shipment document?
E.g. I have a Shipment with 58 Deliveries and for a specific customer has 2 Deliveries, the Shipment Costing (VI01) must to create just one line item consolidating the 2 Deliveries for that customer, not to split 2 lines (one line for each Delivery).
Any help will be highly appreciated.
    Best regards...
    Marcelo Boccia - SAP SD

    Hi,
As per my best knowledge shipment cost document item is not created based on delivery, it is created from shipment header or shipment stages:
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/93/7440ac546011d1a7020000e829fd11/frameset.htm
    Shipment cost items
The items refer either to a shipment header or a shipment stage. The items contain general data for shipment costing and settlement, such as service agent, pricing date and settlement date, tax amount and tax basis as well as organizational data such as company code, plant and purchasing organization.
There is an individual status at item level for each of the shipment costing, account assignment and forwarding to FI functions.
As you can see delivery is not mentioned.
At shipment cost sub-item level you may have deliveries.
Isn't it possible that your deliveries belong to different stages? Is any related development in your system?
Please check your shipment and report us on the result.
    Thanks,
    Csaba

  • Shipment cost - determine purchase order

    hello ,
i have a requirement to supply different purchase order for each shipment route .
the determination sould be based on shipment type and route .
    for example :
if the shipment type is X and route is B - the shipment cost sould go to purchasing doc DDD
if the shipment type is Y and route is B - the shipment cost sould go to purchasing doc EEE
I found some user exits :
    exit_rv54pocr_006 : header data supply
    exit_rv54pocr_007 : item data supply .
is it possible to manipulate via the above user exits ?
    other ideas ?

check the interfaces of those two exits.. if they hold values from what you want then definitely you can change..

  • LE-TRA Shipment costs as inbound delivery costs, goods receipt

    Hello gurus:
We are facing the following scenario, regarding inbound transportation.
We plan our shipment document and shipment  costs, and they feature several items. Each of those items represent a shipping service, which in certain cases be taken on different countries by the same service agent.
That is, we have a service X on country A, with tax indicator 1, and service Y on country B, with tax indicator 2.
Both services would need to be transferred as delivery costs to the purchase order.
According to note 427944, shipment cost value is cumulated by service agent., so that it looks impossible to get the values broken up to the purchase order, which would be the first step to subsequently get the right tax indicators for each item of the shipment.
Even using different condition types on the shipment cost document, system cumulates by service agent and transfers to the first condition found on the purchase order schema.
Has any of you faced similar issue? Any workaround possible?.
Thanks in advance for your valuable help.
    David Ramos.
    PORCELANOSA MM.
This is the section of note 427944 that indicates the treatment of the shipment costs in the purchase order,
Transfer the shipment costs into the condition types of the purchase order:
The shipment cost value (without tax amounts) is cumulated for all relevant shipment cost documents
for each service agent and transferred to a corresponding condition type of the purchase order item.
Before cumulation, the amounts are first converted into the purchase order currency.
    1. A transfer of the values for each condition type (similar to the transfer from a shipment
cost document to the SD billing document) is not supported.
    2. If different service agents exist in the shipment cost documents, a corresponding number of
condition lines (with value 0) must be specified in the purchase order item. These can always
belong to the same condition type (in schema 'Manual') or also to different condition types (not
    'Manual'):
    a) Manual condition lines: If the condition type in the schema of the purchase order is
marked as 'manual', the condition type must be created (with value 0) in the purchase order
item before the goods receipt. If delivery costs are expected from different service agents,
several non-valuated entries must be generated for this condition type. If more condition
lines exist than required, these are then no longer taken into account. If condition lines
are missing, the last service agents are not settled.
    - Advantage: You only have to define one condition type for the delivery costs.
    - Disadvantage: Each purchase order must be processed manually before the goods receipt.
    b) Automatic condition lines: If the condition lines are to be generated automatically for
the delivery costs (the condition type is not flagged as 'Manual' in the schema), the schema
must have enough condition types to settle several service agents. If more condition lines
exist than required, these are then no longer taken into account. If condition lines are
missing, the last service agents are not settled.
    - Advantage: The goods receipt can be carried out without manual preparation beforehand in
    the purchase order.
    - Disadvantage: You must define identical condition types with different names.

    Hi,
If you refereed the OSS Note 427944 correctly it explains how the shipment cost can be transferred to delivery cost based on some pre-requisite.
Like the value for PO should be >0
Like the service agent is involved during shipment liability, then there should be cumulative transfer for each value which will update based on shipment cost if PO value is "0".
The shipment cost will be delivered to all delivery items based on weight.
If you want to enhance this then you need to use the enhancement V54KSFRC to update the values as per your requirement.

    Dear SAP Gurus,

    the Scenario is as follows,
    1) Creation of a Sales ORder
    2) Delivery
    3) Shipment
    4) Shipment Cost (as the shipping is carried by a vendor, we capture the costs here)
    5) With Reference to the Shipment cost, we create a Purchase Order

    Current Situation :
The End user is able to delete the Shipment Cost and the Shipment Document even if the P.O  is invoiced.
    Requirement :
the Shipment and the shipment cost Documents shouldnt be deleted unless the IR is reversed for the P.O
Note * Is there a Configuration Possible for this requirement *

  • Shipment Cost for an STO/ Outbound Delivery

    Hello All,
We are trying to configure shipment cost for STO. We are facing an issue as explained below. Let me know if anyone of you faced a similar issue and if you have ideas for the fix -
In our scenario the Shipment cost calculation is done on the following basis -
    1) Flat Rate - For example for transporting of goods from new york to atlanta.
I did complete the configuration for shipment cost and I am able to get shipment cost in the STO. Here is an example of where I am stuck -
    1. I created outbound delivery # 1 (partial quantity) for the sto (with 2 line items). When I create shipment cost document, it allocates the shipment cost to the 2 line items proportionately. eg. 100$ is distributed as 50$ each.
    2. Now, when I create a new outbound delivery #2 for the rest of the quantity and try to create shipment cost, it distributes based on the ratio of the quantity shipped. This is how it distributes -
(Quantity shipped in OBD#2/ Total STO Quantity) * Shipment cost from first OBD (=50$).
What we want is the exact distribution of 50$ for the second OBD as well.
    Appreciate your help!!

  • Shipment cost pricing - new field catalog

    hey ,
    i want to add a new field ( air_line_company ) to condition table .
i added the field to structure komkaz and to table vttk .
what is the equivalent user exit to USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMP in the shipment cost
and what code i have to add there ?
is there anything else that i should do in order to maintain this field in the condition table ?

    Hi!
It may help you to use additional fields of vt01n, as VTTK-ADD01 and customize it to show a list of all the air lines that you have in a catalog.
Logistics Execution > Transportation > Shipments > Maintain Additional Data
In this standar way you dont need any exit and can include it on pricing procedure.
Change the name of field description on CMOD transaction and you can use it.
I hope this may help you.

  • Shipment cost information in Quotation

    Hi all!
If i try to do shipmento cost infomation at Order level, it's all ok...
But if I try to do this (with path EXTRAS - SHIPMENT COST INFO) at Quotation level, i have a problem..
The system doesn't calculate the Shipment cost, and LOG informs me that no deliveries are created..
So, can i do shipment info at quotation level?
If yes, what can i have to mantaint to do it possible?
    Thanks a lot
    Best Regards
    Alba

    Hi Alba,
you have to assign the Shipping Cost Info Profile to your Quotation. (T.code VOV8).
