Shipment Cost on Material

Dear Gurus,
I have succssflly call the shipment cost record on departure zone and destination zone, but as per requirement i have configure the followng condition table before above condition table.
Departure zone > Material > Destination zone and maintain the freight but system cant find the record,
and in analysis shows that access not made.
I have create the condition table using standard features, can any of gurus assist me in this regard.

Hi,
When you create the table Departure zone > Material > Destination zone, then activate this table fields in access sequence
Go to access sequence by T_07
Go to access details and then by selecting table row double click on FIELDS, select condition field row and click on fields icon below right side
Then find same field and select that by double clicking  
Note : Your condition field and document fields should be same.

    With refernece to this note:
    To add shipment costs to delivery costs in the incoming shipments, you need the following settings in Customizing:
    Shipment cost item categories
    Under the Shipment cost types and item categories activity, set the Relevant for costing field to A = Relevant for calculating delivery costs (Delivery costs). This results in the shipment costs not being transferred directly into accounting. The accounting is done via the purchasing functionality for delivery costs.
    Conditions in the purchase order
    Under the Define condition types activity, set the Condition type field to B = Delivery costs. In addition, select the Transfer shipment costs field. The system only shows this field, if you have chosen delivery costs as condition type. In the purchase order, you have to enter the condition type in the item category section. However, you do not enter a value since this value will be determined by the shipment cost document and will then be automatically transferred to the goods receipt document.
    Goods receipt
    To find the relevant shipment cost documents, you must know the corresponding inbound deliveries. Therefore for incoming goods this must relate to confirmation-related goods receipts. Under the Set up confirmation control activity, select the GR-relevant and GR assignment fields for the appropriate confirmation control key (which is then entered in the purchase order).
    Can any one let me know how can i enter condition type in item category section? and also tell me can load shipment cost to material in case of outbound delivery.

  • Problem in clearing the shipment costs to transporter

    Hellow,
    Scenario:
    Step1:
    1. I created on PO and I did one inbound delivery with reference to PO.
    2. Then i did inbound shipment, and shipment cost document.
    3. Shipment costs calculated based on weight of the delivery material, Here Weight is 3 To with 300/- per TO.
    Total amount is 900.
    3. Then i did MIGO with reference to inbound delivery.
    4. Now system copied shipment costs to material costs.
    5. Then i did MIRO for planned delivery costs(900/-) with reference to PO.
    Step2:
    1. same way i did one more inbound delivery for open items
    2. Shipment document with reference to Inbound delivery.
    3. Shipment cost document created, Here also only 3 To weight, but the freight rate is 200/- per TO, total cost is 600 only.
    4. I did MIGO with reference to Inbound delivery
    5. When i do the MIRO with reference to same PO for remaining 600/- planned delivery costs, system is not copying the 600/- from PO. It is copying the average on 900+600 for remaining delivery costs.
    If we go with same freight rates this kind of problem is not happening. In different rate situation only this problem is occuring.
    Can i have any solutions please?

    You have to follow few mm and transportation module configuration settings: These are
    1. In MM Pricing condition types: The freight condition type need to check, that is the option called Copy Shipment costs in MM Freight condition types(FRB1) should be activate.
    2. In Purchase order the freight condition type(FRB1) with zero value always.
    3. In transportation module in shipment cost item categories settings, you have to assign A-Shipment costs as a delivery costs in Shipment Relevant field.
    4. You have to do the PGR after creating shipment and shipment cost documents.
    5. Once you do the PGR the system will copy the shipment costs to material costs and system will generate separate line item in POHistory

  • Shipment cost load to material

    We have following scenario against which Freight cost are not loading to material in outbound delivery process.
    Outbound delivery is created against Salse Order using delivery type LF. then we created shipment document then PGI and finally
    Shipment Cost Document. Where is this shipment cost is posting?? There is no accounting document is generated for shipment cost. How will this cost load to Material.
    The scenario has been tested for charging the freight cost to GL account in which the system is automatically creating a purchase order and service entry sheet but as soon as we change the Settlement Relevance in Item Category from X to A there is no accounting accounting document generated.

  • How to add the shipment costs in to material costs

    Dear friends
    I am implenting the transportation module.
    In purchase process and STO processes, the client requirement is received material cost should be added with shipment cost.
    I mean the material cost is 1000/-
    The shipment cost is 100/-
    Client Requirement: Freight liability should get loaded on the inventory being it is part of purchase cost.
    Now the material cost: 1000+100
    We are not entering the freight costs in PO.
    We are creating the shipment cost documnets for calculating the ship.costs.
    When we do the MIGO/Inbound delivery the system need to capture whole amount as a material cost.

    Already  i created the shipment cost document with reference to inbound delivey document.
    Now the ship.cost value is 100/-
    The material cost is 1000/-
    But i want to show the accounting document for meterial document with 1100/-(Material cost and ship.cost)
    But when we do the PGR, sys will generate the accounting document with material cost only, sys should not add the ship.cost. Because we didnot enter any ship.cost value in PO or delivery.
    We are maintaining the ship.cost in saperate documents.
    How to do that?

  • Shipment cost based on Value

    I need your valuable suggestion on how to create the Value based shipment cost.
    Our Process:
    Create POS - Create Inbound delivery - Create Shipment - Create Shipment cost - Post Inbound Delivery.
    So while posting the inbound delivery, the freight cost will post against the material. The invoice will be paid for the Vendor for the quantity purchased and freight charge will be paid for the freight Vendor(s).
    We are adding the Vendor in the Shipment and adding the cost against the Vendor in the Shipment Cost.
    Everything is working fine, but the shipment cost posting against the material was happening based on the delivery weight / quantity.
    The reason for this asking the question is - we are receiving high value items and low value items with the same weight.
    Question 1: Is it possible to have the shipment cost being split, calculated and posted against the material based on the PO Item received Value or PO Price
    Quesion 2: Is it possible to post the shipment cost at a later date? Currently, the shipment cost posts when the inbound delivery is received (I know the material value will be posted when there is stock changes or price changes).  But our issue is the invoice for the shipment cost will be received after a couple of days from the goods receipt. Right now we are entering couple of costs through assumption, then while postig the invoice, we adjust that value.
    Note: I cannot enter the condition directly in the PO, as the same PO item will be partially received by multiple inbound deliveries

    Freight carriers charges weight on the basis of Weight / volume of the items.SAP shipment works on the same principle.
    Cost of transporting ton of Potataoes  is same as transporting 10 ton of aluminium between two known destinations.
    Hence it is illogical to distributes cost on the basis of item value. However if still you want to distribute the same on value basis then maintain freight condition(%) in PO as per your prefined logic of distribution of freight cost.
    It is well known fact that cost of freight % is always higher in  Low value items & iis low in case of High value items.

  • Tax Code in case oF ERS for shipment cost

    Hi,
    We are using Shipment cost documents to calculate the customer freight.
    In shipment cost document, we need to transfer the amount to accounting.
    In that case system will create PO automatically.
    We need to activate ERS for all the vendors, in that case when we transfer the shipment costs to accounting, system is asking to enter Tax code.
    We are not using Tax determination at all in shipment cost document.
    Can't we use ERS without Tax code?
    Where does this Tax code come from into the PO? is it through Tax determination condition technique?
    is there any way we can deactivate Tax code?
    Please suggest.

    For Standard Materials, Tax code is defaulting from Info record.
    As freight is a service, we only have Short text in the PO not the material.
    Is there any way i can create info record for service materials? so that i can enter tax code in info record and that defaults into PO.

    On double clicking on the item level, respective item details of the material is displayed and then click SHIFT+ F6 to see the COSTCENTER in the shipement cost document.
    Configuration:
    1) In Item category configuration account assigment category is Cost Center.
    Logistics Execution>Transportation>Shipment Costs>Shipment Cost Document>Shipment Cost Types and Item Categories-->Define item categories
    2) In the Transaction code OKB9 Costcenter is assigned to the company code , in order to automate the determination of CO assignments in case of Shipment cost document creation
    Logistics Execution>Transportation>Shipment Costs>Settlement>Automatic Determination of CO Assignments

  • Freight capitalization for STO process using shipment cost document

    Dear MM experts
    I have been testing and trying to charge freight to material using transportation module. I know how to do it in simple STO process without SCD (shipment cost document) but I am not able to do it with SCD.
    I have searched and tried every link I found on SCN. Unfortunately there are many open threads and non of them is answered or giving complete solution. For example I have tried this link where Ajit Kumar has explained the scenario in detail I am but unable to achieve my result. I have also tried other links and SAP note 427944 as well.
    Now what thing confusing me is accounting entries and documents/steps where these accounting entries will be posted.
    My current process is like this in plant to plant transfer under same company code
    STO > OBD > Shipment Document > PGI > Accouting Entry with 641 movement type. Material account debit and same account credit. > Shipment Cost document > GR with 101 without any accounting entry > Transfer freight cost to FI using Freight Service PO determination > Accounting Entry Freight Outward Expense Debit and Freight Clearing Account Credit > MIRO > Accounting Entry Freight Clearing Debit and Vendor Credit
    As you can see we are booking freight as an expense and not charging to material. Now what I want is that freight should be charged to material. If I am sending material from plant P000 to plant P201 under same comapny code then freight charges should be added in material cost in plant P201.
    I have done FRB1 condition type with accrual and copy shipment cost tick mark and other stuff suggested in all those threads but it is not working.
    My requirement is to understand the points where and what accounting entries will be created as per my new scenario which is same as old one except one difference which is to charge freight to material instead of booking expense in freight service PO.
    Lets take an example that material cost price is 100 and freight charges is 50. Now as per old threads at the time of GR against OBD system will create accounting document with 150 debiting the stock in plant P201. What about credit? If we have added freight here then what about 2nd accounting entry in my first scenario in which freight expense is debited and clearing account is credited? Could anyone please explain accounting entries and points where these entries will be posted?
    Another thing is that is it only possible with moving average price to charge freight to material or can we do this with standard price as well using some standard or customized solution?
    Detailed and easy to understand answer will be highly appreciated.

    Firstly, you can benefit Badi/s in package VTRA which is given belowed.
    Secondly , i think that  shipping method --> create sto with delivery --> create shipment document and shipment cost document (problem is starting so system will be create PO and service entry sheet automatically , can you try shipment document is non-related with cost document.
    Thirdly , you can post invoices charge to material with miro , if you success to direct freight costs to stock account (BSX).
    Also , you can benefit doc. sap behaviours for Std price/ Map --> Planned & unplanned delivery costs in mm

  • Product Gap To Accommodate the Shipment Cost in R/3 Procurement process- MM

    We are in to IT distribution business; in our nature of business we donu2019t know shipment cost at Purchase Order, we can have various options
    As per Our business requirement we want to take the MAP cost as basis of our Sales Price considering very low profit margin, so  for every shipment( partial GR) the freight cost  are not on proportionate basis, it will vary widely depending on the facts like
    A.     Mode of transport(Air / Ship /Road )
    B.     Size of Truck load/ Ship Container
    C.     Number of Partial Shipment
    D.     Shipment for Multiple Purchase order.
    Further we want the freight cost  to be automated based on above variations.
    Problem:
    We need to incorporate both the partial delivery cost (Elucidated below) at Goods receipt point for each and every shipment (Partial Delivery).
    We want automated price component should flow to Good receipt on partial delivery basis considering both components mentioned below.
    For understanding kindly refer to the below mentioned example.
    Case 1:
    We placed one Purchase Order Qty 1000 to Vendor HP on Inco term Ex Works Taiwan,
    This Quantity of Material will be shipped partially to Our Plant at Dubai; We will out sourced Freight forwarder for picking the material from HP factory to Dubai Sea Port
    We have different components as below
    Fixed      $  115.00      Per Bill of Lading / Shipment
    Variable 1 and/or      $  235.00      Per 30 CBM / 20" FT Container
    Variable 2 and/or      $  200.00      Per 60 CBM / 40" FT Container
    Variable 3      $  200.00      Per 70 CBM / 40" FT HC Container
    Again the Shipment will be transferred from Sea Port to Our Plant through road, this may be a
    Variable     From 1 to 8 CBM --> $ 19     3 Tonn
         More than 8 CBM --> 19 CBM --> $38     7 Tonn
         More than 19 CBM --> 43 CBM --> $52     40" Trailer

    As you do not know delivery cost at the time of PO creation , you can post delivery cost in MIRO with a option to a particular G/L account & need to active in following path:
    SPRO > Materials Management > Logistics Invoice Verification > Incoming Invoice > Activate Direct Posting to G/L Accounts and Material Accounts > Here Activate "Dir.posting to G/L acct = active" and save. 
    OR
    Try for rebate / subsequent settlement.

  • Shipment cost: number of items in service entry sheet

    Dear Experts,
    Is there a customizing setting that restricts the maximum allowed number of lines in service entry sheets?
    Context:
    Once I transfer shipment costs, several goods receipt sheets and service entry sheets are created.
    I first thought that there was a one-on-one releationship between a shipment cost item and a service entry sheet. I.e. if there are e.g. 7 shipment cost items, than 7 service entry sheets are created.
    The shipment cost distribution level is set on "delivery item": if for one shipment cost item, there are 250 delivery items, the cost is distributed all over these 250 delivery items. For each delivery item, a line is created in the service entry sheet. However, in my case 3 service entry sheets are created with on:
    - 1st service entry sheet: 99 items
    - 2nd service entry sheet: 99 items
    - 3nd service entry sheet 52 items
    Is there a way to avoid that several entry sheets are created for one . In my case that only 1 entry sheet with 250 items is created after transfer.

    If you are not posting the delivery cost on the material value, then use A - Shipment costs item in the item category.
    Delivery sub-item - A shipment cost sub-item will be created for every relevant delivery sub-item.
    Shipment costs item - One shipment cost sub-item will be created.

    Seen an abaperr and check out the program "RV56TRSL" for your requirement. Through this program, you can Schedule the creation of Shipment cost document.
    If you're talking about automatic PO creation then you need to do the following:
    1. Assignment with relevant Purchasing org & group will be done at SPRO->LE->Transportation->Shipment cost->settlement->Assign Purchasing data
    2. To create the PO automatic you need to do these settings :-
    By selecting the shipment cost & item category for automatic PO (T_56) and selected the default PO type for the transaction.
    Path :- IMG > Material Mgt. >Purchasing >Define default Values for Document Type.
    Path :- IMG >Logixtic Execution >transportation -> Shipment Cost >Ship Cost Document >Shipment Cost Type & Item Category (T_56).
    3. Remember to check EKKN which is the table for account assignment in PO.

    In my scenario, I had created shipment document & shipment cost document, now what ever be the cost in that I want to charge to customer in addition of material price.
    I had created condition type say KF00 in shipment & made it statistical. same condition is in my pricing procedure in SD.
    In front of procing procedure I had made tick mark i.e. Transaction speciefic price procedure
    In copy controll LF to F2, at item level I selected price source as shipment cost.
    But still cost is not flowing in the billing document.
    Please suggest what to do

  • Apportionment of shipment costs

    Hello,
    In our solution, the shipment cost are posted as delivery costs during the putaway.
    If we make changes to the delivery data (in quantity), the delivery costs are received per item according to the weight (the apportionment of the costs are made according to the weight).
    But, this is done according to the quantity we receive and not the quantity initialy saved in the inbound delivery.
    For example, we have 100$ for shipment cost for two PO, two Inbound deliveries and one transport.
    PO 1 :
    Material A : 50 Kg.
    PO 2 :
    Material B : 50 Kg.
    If the good receipt is:
    PO 1 :
    Material A : 1 Kg.
    PO 2 :
    Material B : 50 Kg.
    the shipment cost will be apportionned like as following:
    Material A : 1$.
    Material B : 50$.
    And, what we would like is :
    Material A : 2$.
    Material B : 98$.
    For us, the total price has to be 100$ even if we receive only a part of the inbound delivery.
    Do you have any idea on how we could manage that ?

    I think we have a similar requirement. For FCA transports is the transport cost zero. We have created a seperate condition in the cost procedure as a condition class A ( discount or surcharge ) in T_06. This has an access sequence assigned which uses a 9xx condition table (T_03) with fields Service agent f.stage ( TDLNR ) and
    Incoterms     ( INCO1 ). This enables us to maintain condition records in TK12. So FCA is maintained with 100 % deduction and thus no costs.
