Shipment is to be blocked if Letter of credit date has expired

Shipment must be blocked (provision for Delivery order reversal) if Letter of credit Last Date of Shipment is expired:
Example as follow: - SO 100002703 item 10 - The LC with financial doc 1062 - The last shipping date of Finance.doc 1062 is 30.09.2011 - If user create new Delivery doc at 01.10.2011 ? system should throw error message - If user post Shipment doc at 01.10.2011 ? system should throw error message The validation should be applied for both initial shipment processing or replacement for return.

  • Letter of credit check status not correct in VL01N

    Hi, Gurus,
I activate both credit management and documentary payment. When I try to create delivery-VL01N with reference to a sales order, i assign an financial document with 100% depreciation. Suppse deliver amount exceeds this financial document, system should issue message and block this delivery. However, there were no such message and credit status is "A" when saving delivery.
In Vl02N, not changing any data, system issue the message showing that
the financial document value is exceeded, and delivery is blocked when I save the delivery.
I checked my configuration, and cannot think of anything related to this.
After debug, I found out that the reason is that SAP get delivery value from table S131, field  OLIKW and compare it with financial document open value. However, S131-LOIKW is 0 when I create the delivery. After delivery is created, S131-OLIKW value is corect. Therefore, when i change delivery and try to save before exit, system will issue the message.
Does anyone know anything might be related to this weird issue?
    Thanks,
    Cicely

  • Letter of credit release with VXA3

    Hello,
      I have this scenario:
    - Created a Letter of Credit with 100.000 EUR of amount;
    - Assigned the letter of Credit to a Sales Order of 250.000 EUR of amount --> the Sales Order is blocked from credit control because the value of the Financial Document (Letter of Credit) is less than the SO value;
When I release the SO document blocked using VXA3, what behaviour should I expect? I thought that after the SO was released, the difference between the SO Value and the Financial Document value should be seen in FD33 among the open "Sales Value". Instead, I see the whole amount of the Sales Order (250.000 €) assigned to the Financial Document (even if it's value is 100.000 €). So I guess that releasing the Sales Order from VXA3 means that I accept that the whole amount of the Sales Order is covered by the Financial Document,  even if it's value is lower.
Is this the standard behaviour, and can it be customized?
    Thanks and best regards,
    Andrea

    Dear Amol Tamhane,
Have not worked on 'letter of credit'.
But if there is any accounting document which gets created due to letter of credit, then you can use the exit for credit management in SALES ORDER LEVEL and write the code to BLOCK THE SALES ORDER ONLY IF
(CREDIT LIMIT + LETTER OF CREDIT AMOUNT ) - (PREVIOUS EXPOSURE + SALES ORDER VALUE ) < 0
You can check BSEG, if accounting document gets created for 'letter of credit' or you can check any tables related to letter of credit based on customer code.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Letter of Credit value to be updated

    Hi Guys
I have created a Financial Document for my Letter of Credit (LC) value of Rs.100
I have assigned the same to the sales order for the value of Rs.80
I have one more Sales order against this LC for Rs.40
Now my customer have went to the banker and increased this from Rs.100 to Rs.120
If i create a sales order it will go for block, and the same can be relesed
But i have a issue with the above process, if i do the same it will not update my consumption in my LC financial document and in our case it will be still have Rs.20 as open value in the financial documents
To solve this issue, i am trying to have a supplement financial document for LC so that it will update my LC financial document as Rs.120 from Rs.100, and hence through this LC Open value will be Zero
Else, is it possible to update more than one LC financial document to a single sales order, hence in our example i will create a new LC financial document for Rs.20 and i can assign both the old LC financial document number for Rs.20 and for the new LC financial document number for Rs.20
    Thanks guys
    Bala

    Hi
    Yeah you can do that.
In your sales order enter the two line items ex
    Line item 1   Material 1 20
    Line item 2   Material 1 20
Now you can enter the 2 LC for these line items

  • Letter of Credit issue

    Hi Friends,
I'm trying to iimplement Letter of credit for our customer.
I'm creating a sales order and giving the reference of the Letter of credit(U -irrevocable unconfirmed) at the line item level. LoC value is 10 lakhs INR and SO value is 60,000 INR. The order in this case is still going on credit block.
Is there anything missing here? I have made all the relevant settings for payment guarantee.
Can LoC be configured to work indepently of credit management.
    Regards,
    Saji

    Hi,
In the customer master> Sales area Data> Billing tab, you have to mention payment guarantee procedure 0001 = Letters of credit.
In the sale order when the financial document is assigned ( created in VX11n ) the green light should be displayed when checked.
If you do not want credit management to be active for the customer for whom payment guarantee procedure is maintained, then remove credit control area from the customer master.
The reason being when LC is assigned, it is as good as payment received. so there will be no credit exposure for the customer.
    Hope this helps.

  • Letter of Credit consumption value and open value

    Hi Friends,
I have created a Financial Document for my Letter of Credit (LC) value of Rs.1000.
I have assigned the same to the sales order for the value of Rs.800. So the available value in LC is Rs 200.
Next I create one more Sales order against this LC for Rs.400. This order went to block as the open LC value is not sufficient.
When I check the available value for the LC, it is still showing as Rs 200 and the consumed value as Rs 800. It is not considering the Rs 400 of the blocked sales order.
Question: Is this standard behaviour or are there some settings missing due to which the blocked sales order value is not being considered towards LC consumption. Is there anyway by which the blocked sales order value would also come under LC consumption.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Saji

As the Sales Order is blocked, its value will not be considered in LC's consumed value. This is pretty much standard.
I don't think is wouild be possible with Standard settings to include the Blocked Order Value in LC Consumed Value.
    Hope this helps,
    Thanks,

  • Letter of credit aginst Open item and Oldest open items

I raise the sales order against Letter of Credit. when i am saving the order throughs a message that Maximum open item value is exceeded for static credit check.
When i am doing delivery system throughs an error that order is blocked
Can u suggest me come out from this problem and guide me for Statci credit against Letter of credit( how the System behaves)
    Kishore

    Hi,
Open items check means it will consider all the open items when it is doing credit check. Here it adds all the open items amount and do the credit check..
Oldest open item means it will consider only the oldest open item and based on tht i will do credit check..Here i will check the oldest open item value and its date then do the credit check..
Coming to payment terms check, system is responding correctly.. because payment terms are immed due net. tht means still time is there in the same day. that is the reason it is not blocking the second document.
once move to 2nd day then it means first doc is not cleared tht is the reason it is blocking the 2 nd doc on 2nd doc..
    Hope u have understand..
    Regards

  • Letter of credit in Sales Order processing

The Problem is related to LC(Letter Of credit) attached to Sales order.
In some cases, when we raise a sales order and attach LC even if all the fields are matching in LC and sales order the value is not reflected in LC.
One more problem is When the order is attached with LC it should not go into credit check but it goes into credit check and blocks the order.
In Case, we are using revolving LC even if the payment is recieved from the customer the value is not getting update in the LC.
The above kind of problems are also persistant in all sorts of documentary payments i.e Bank gurantees and Lc etc
We are using documentary payments for foreign trade for special business trasactions where customer credit management should not be utilized.
Any suggetions on the issue or insight in foreign trade and documentary payments will be highly appreciating.

  • How to Block a Quote on Credit check and prevent suseqquent functions

    Hi,
The client wants to prevent the Quotations which are blocked due to credit check to be turned in to sales order.
We are maintaining credit group 40 , assigned it to quote, and maintained records in Fd32 and ova8.
The item categories have been checked for credit check.
After all these, when a quote is blocked, we can see it in vkm1 for release.
But, it allows to create the sales order with reference to the blocked quote.
Can anyone please help me in resolving this?
P.S. The client wants to do this at Quote level because they are using Assembly processing. Since it is not possible to prevent creating a production order even though the credit check has been set for sales order (Client uses 90% of KMAT's (Item cat-TAC)  and Assembly processing (Strategy group 82) with VC.)
Any suggestion to achieve either one of the above will be appreciated and Rewarded.
    Thank You,
    Manoj.

    Hi
Please try this way...this is a guess and let's see if it works.,
Define a new Credit Group (say 04) for Quotes.
Assign the new Credit Group for the QT document type
In the Define Automatic Credit Control - make the necessary assignment for the combination of
CCA - Risk Category - Credit Group
Check the functionality by creating the Quote for an amount exceeding the credit limit and referring it for creating the sales order, which shouldn't be allowed.
    Thanks,
    Ravi

  • Tracking of due dates in case of letter of credit and bank guarantee

    Hi
In case of letter of credit and bank guarantee can a track be kept in sap for bill negotiated and due (means the vendor has claimed payment but payment from us to our bank is not due) ,
negotiated and due(means our payment is due)
and bills negotiated and overdue (means payment from our side to our bank is overdue)
how is it possible plz explain in detail as i have never worked ob LC and BG.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi
Thanks for the answer I will try to explain my requirement .
In case of import and exports Letter of credit and bank guarantee are opened with the bank. There can be amendments also after its creation in terms , amount or validity period. Then it is negotiated and retired.
An example : A letter of credit is opened on 1st Jan. The goods are shipped on 7th Jan .Credit term given by our bank (in case of import) is 1 month which is counted from the shipment date and it expires on 7th feb. The vendor negotiates the bill on 15th jan.
The requirement is to get a report of u2018negotiated and dueu2019 and u2018negotiated and overdueu2019category.
Like from 15th Jan to 7th Feb the bill negotiated by the vendor comes under u2018negotiated and dueu2019 category and after that it comes under u2018negotiated and overdueu2019category.
List of letter of credits established , negotiated , retired and balance if any.
Letter of credit wise u2013 Bank charges paid. i.e at the time of opening , amendment , negotiation and retirement.
Same in case of bank guarantee also.
Plz explain me how can this be tracked and how to configure this.

We need to consider the "Letter of  Credit"  amout in credit management.
ie. if there is LC created on customer worth Rs. 5lacs, system should not block the sales order unless 5 lacs is consumed.
