  • How to select Most recent record with rest of record in ascending order...?

    Dear Expert,
    I have one table called Tab1 & have a lot columns. For this schenario, i mentioned few of the columns.
    The columns are
    product_type varchar2(100),
    curr_date date (storing with time stamp),
    other1_cloumn varchar2(10),
    other2_cloumn varchar2(10)
    Now I want to display all the records in ascending order except most recent record for every product_type || Union all || Most recent records in ascending order in single query.
    For example...
    product_type curr_date date other1_cloumn other2_cloumn
    1, "10-May-2005 10:10:10", 10, 10
    1, "10-May-2005 10:10:11", 10, 10
    1, "10-May-2005 10:10:12", 10, 10
    1, "10-May-2005 10:10:09", 10, 10
    2, "10-May-2005 10:10:10", 10, 10
    2, "10-May-2005 10:10:11", 10, 10
    2, "10-May-2005 10:10:12", 10, 10
    2, "10-May-2005 10:10:09", 10, 10
    3, "10-May-2005 10:10:10", 10, 10
    3, "10-May-2005 10:10:11", 10, 10
    3, "10-May-2005 10:10:12", 10, 10
    3, "10-May-2005 10:10:09", 10, 10
    Now I want to display (OUTPUT) like...
    1, "10-May-2005 10:10:10", 10, 10
    1, "10-May-2005 10:10:11", 10, 10
    1, "10-May-2005 10:10:09", 10, 10
    2, "10-May-2005 10:10:10", 10, 10
    2, "10-May-2005 10:10:11", 10, 10
    2, "10-May-2005 10:10:09", 10, 10
    3, "10-May-2005 10:10:10", 10, 10
    3, "10-May-2005 10:10:11", 10, 10
    3, "10-May-2005 10:10:09", 10, 10
    1, "10-May-2005 10:10:12", 10, 10
    2, "10-May-2005 10:10:12", 10, 10
    3, "10-May-2005 10:10:12", 10, 10
    Plz, provide a solution....

    I want to display like...
    select * from tab1 where (product_type,curr_date) in
    (select product_type,max(curr_date) from tab1 group by product_type)
    order by product_type
    Union All
    (select * from tab1 where (product_type,curr_date) NOT IN
    (select product_type,max(curr_date) from tab1 group by product_type)
    order by product_type)
    But, In the above case, The ORDER BY Clause will not work...How to get this one...?
    I mean.. I want to display all the records in ascending order except Most recent record base on Product type and next I want to display Most recent record in ascending order. I want to display both cases in a single query...?

  • Accessing the records in ascending order using index hint

    I am getting a problem in selecting the rows using the index hint which in i want to query in the ascending order.
    for eg.
    select /*+ index(temp_itr_header,tmp_itrhdr_1#IDX2) */ person_id
    from temp_itr_header

    Oracle knows that it doesn't have to resort data if it accessed individual rows from an index with the same sort order. In other words, adding the ORDER BY clause need not cause Oracle to do any extra work. Adding the ORDER BY does guarantee that the results will be sorted and will tend to cause Oracle to use the index, assuming it can avoid the sort that way. If you don't have an ORDER BY, Oracle is free to return rows in whatever order it would like regardless of your hint.
    If you want to use the index hint, the syntax is
    SELECT /*+ INDEX(temp_itr_header <<index name>>) */Note that you do not want to have a comma in your hint. Of course, if your statistics are accurate, you shouldn't need to resort to a hint here-- the CBO should pick the most efficient path.

    Templeton's suggestion is best if needing help with Microsoft Entourage. Since I know the answer is "not possible" I can at least steer you toward an AppleScript that will give you a workaround. Have a look here <http://www.barryw.net/weblog/files/category-5.html>.
    Further questions about this script should be directed either to its author or to Microsoft's Entourage newsgroup <http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.mac.office.entourage>.

  • I want to retrive data from KNVP table but it shows records in miss order.

    Hello all,
    I have written following query.
    SELECT  KPKUNNR KPKUNN2
                INTO corresponding fields of table I_KUNZJ
                FROM KNVP AS KP
                WHERE KP~PARVW = 'ZJ'
                  AND KP~KUNN2 = 'C0100'            .
    KNVP table having following customers for my condition:-
      Kunnr
      100510
      1150010
      1166835
    But it shows records in following order:-
    Kunnr
      1150010
      100510
      1166835
    So it shows 1st record = 1150010 instead of 100510. I want to show 1st record as 100510. Can any one please tell me why it shows such miss order.

    customers::Kunnr
    100510
    1150010
    1166835
    Actually I want to select 1st record only and insted of 100510 it shows 1150010 kunnr.
    SELECT  KUNNR KUNN2
                INTO corresponding fields of table I_KUNZJ
                FROM KNVP
                up to 1 rows
                WHERE PARVW = 'ZJ'
                  AND KUNN2 = 'C0100'            .
    Becoz
    In KNVP table customers are in following order:-
    Kunnr
    100510
    1150010
    1166835
    But after selection it  shows records in following order:-
    Kunnr
    1150010
    100510
    1166835

  • Itu2019s showing confirmed qty more that order qty in sales order

    Dear Guru's
    I am working on production server issue; the issue is delivery has been created more that sales order qty.  When I am seeing sales Oder schedule lines itu2019s showing confirmed qty more that order qty in sales order what could be the reason can any help me on this.
    Regards
    DNR

    Hi DNR,
    first up, appreciate if you can use your real name instead of DNR , I'd love to see your actual name.
    Coming to the question, a deliery can be created more than the ordered quantity. And if you pick whats delivered - that can show as confirmed too..
    Standard SAP just throws a warning indicating this over delivery. And incase you want to prevent this happening - you can trigger an user exit to change this warning to error.
    Config is also possbile if you have setup your cust mat info record or sales order to check over delivery and set the item cateogry for delivery. You can go to t.code 0VLP( Zero VLP) select Over Delivery -  'B' for delivery item category.

  • How to show multipe records on a single record

    Hi all,
    I have a query which can contain 1 or Many records for each S.WAS_NO or APPL_NO even. A new record is created when the APPL_STATUS changes and a timestamp is created in APPL_STATUS_CHANGE_DATE.
    select distinct
           S.APPL_ID,
           S.WAS_NO,
           S.AS_STATUS,
           S.STATUS_CHANGE_DATE,
           dense_rank() over (partition by S.WAS_NO order by S.STATUS_CHANGE_DATE) rank
      from table_a S, table b S2
    where S.APPL_ID = S2.APPL_ID
    order by S.WAS_NO, rank asc;
    Current Results:
    APPL_ID---WAS_NO---------------AS_STATUS----STATUS_CHANGE_DATE-----RANK
    6628-------E4G0YL9B08V0V6---ASSIGNED-------25/10/2011----------------------1
    6628-------E4G0YL9B08V0V6---USED--------------30/12/2011----------------------2
    Desired Results:
    APPL_ID--WAS_NO------------------AS_STATUS1----STATUS_CHANGE_DATE1----AS_STATUS2----STATUS_CHANGE_DATE2
    6628-------E4G0YL9B08V0V6----ASSIGNED---------25/10/2011------------------------USED--------------30/12/2011The rank is based on the WAS_Number and ordered by the STATUS_CHANGE_DATE so i know which order they should go in.
    I want to show 1 record per WAS_NO and show each status change with its date. There can only be a maximum of three status changes.
    I have not been able to workout how to get Multiple records onto a singe record and in different columns.
    Many thanks

    This should do what you want:
    WITH t AS
    (SELECT 6628 appl_id, 'E4G0YL9B08V0V6' was_no, 'ASSIGNED' as_status, TO_DATE('25/10/2011', 'DD/MM/YYYY') status_change_date FROM dual UNION ALL

    SELECT 6628 appl_id, 'E4G0YL9B08V0V6' was_no, 'COMPLETE' as_status, TO_DATE('15/01/2012', 'DD/MM/YYYY') status_change_date FROM dual UNION ALL
    SELECT 6629 appl_id, 'A5AAFG1C07L0P2' was_no, 'ASSIGNED' as_status, TO_DATE('19/01/2012', 'DD/MM/YYYY') status_change_date FROM dual)

  • Apple TV sorts my photos only in ascending order, how can I change so the most recent EVENTS appear first?

    Apple TV sorts my photos only in ascending order, how can I change so the most recent EVENTS appear first?

    I'm looking for an answer to this, too, since I have thousands of Events, and so scrolling down to the bottom every time I want to show my newest photos makes it almost unusable.

  • Is it standard behavior for VL10A/table VEPVG to show two records when a Sales Document has been blocked?

    Hi Experts,
    Is it standard behavior for VL10A to show two records when a Sales Document has been blocked? Their only difference is the field Delivery Block. In VL10A, the first record has a delivery block of BLANK, the second has 99.
    Here's how to replicate the issue.
    Create sales order.
    When you check VL10A, the Sales document is there.
    Change sales order field (RSD) in VA02, Save.
    When you check VL10A, there are now two records, one has a blank delivery block, the other has 99.
    The expected result here is that after changing in VA02, there will be only 1 record in VL10A and it should have delivery block of 99.
    Assumptions:
    1. We know that VL10A retrieves its records from VEPVG. The problem is, in VEPVG, delivery block is a key field. So I think that during VA02, when the delivery block of 99 is assigned, this creates a record in VEPVG instead of updating the existing one. Is this standard behavior, and are my assumptions correct?
    Thanks in advanced experts. Appreciate your prompt response,
    Jack

    Hello Jack,
    This is the standard behavior. When I check in our system, I too can see two entries but with different good issue date and delivery date and the block is specific to good issue date, delivery date.
    So there is no problem in it. try to give the delivery date which includes two table entries delivery date and execute the transaction VL10A.

  • Doesn't Sort data in Ascending order in Hash Table?

    Hello
    I am using JSP, Servlets. After quering in servlets, putting data in HashTable then set attribute in servlets, get attribute in JSP & retrieving data from HashTable in JSP & putting in select html element, data is not coming in ascending order in select drop down box. I need A,B,C,D but it is coming b,d,c,a. When I run query in DB, it shows in sequence but after putting in HashTable, it is not coming in sequence.
    How to make it ascending?
    Looking forward for an early reply.
    Thanks.

    Hi
    Something to do with TreeMap(TreeSet). I tried with TreeSet but it didn't work. Here is the code :
    In servlet :
    Connection lConnection = getConnection(pRequest);
    String lSQL = "";
    Statement lStatement;
    ResultSet lResultSet;
    Hashtable lLtypeHashtable = new Hashtable();
    lStatement = lConnection.createStatement();
    lSQL = "SELECT RCID,RCMEANING FROM REFERENCECODES WHERE RCDOMAIN = 'LOCATIONTYPE' AND RCROWSTATE > 0 order by RCMEANING";
    lResultSet = lStatement.executeQuery(lSQL);
    while(lResultSet.next())
    String lRcid = lResultSet.getString(1);
    String lRcmeaning = lResultSet.getString(2);
    lLtypeHashtable.put(lRcid.trim(),lRcmeaning.trim());
    if(lResultSet != null) lResultSet.close();
    if(lStatement != null) lStatement.close();
    pRequest.setAttribute("LtypeHashtable",lLtypeHashtable);
    //Below Query is executed when one data from select element is selected
    String lLType = DisplayUtilities.getString(pRequest.getParameter("LType"),true);
    //LType is name of select element in JSP.
    if (lLType != null)
    lSQL = lSQL + " AND " + lUpperCaseFunction + "(LOCATIONTYPE)" +
    " = " + DBUtilities.formatString(lLType.toUpperCase());
    pRequest.setAttribute("rLType",lLType+"");
    In JSp :
    <%
    Hashtable lLtypeHashtable = (Hashtable)request.getAttribute("LtypeHashtable");
    %>
    <TR>
    <TD width="15%"> <div align="left">
    <select name="LType" size="1" >
    <option Value="">< Select ></option>
    <%
    if(lLtypeHashtable != null)
    Enumeration enum = lLtypeHashtable.keys();
    while(enum.hasMoreElements())
    String key = (String)enum.nextElement();
    String value = (String)lLtypeHashtable.get(key);
    String flagBack = "";
    if(key.equals((String)request.getAttribute("rLType")))
    flagBack = "selected";
    %>
    <option Value="<%=key%>" <%=flagBack%>><%=value%></option>
    <%
    %>
    </select></div>
    </TD>
    </TR>
    How should I implement TreeSet?
    Looking forward for an early reply.
    Thanks.

    Hi
    In browser mode (view-browser or hit the V key until it shows) there is a drop down menu at the top left of the browser pane. Hit image date then use the arrow to the right of the drop down to choose your preference

  • PO date and Omaterial should display in the ascending order

    Hi experts,
    When i excute the rep0rt the POdate and Material is not displaying in asending order, based on this order am caluculating some other key feild.
    Back ground  this was a Function Module datasource whichwas extraced into BI , Until PSA am getting the values correct. But from Cube the materilal and Podate are not in sequence. How to make these 2 in order. In reporting is there any setting, i tried to display in ascending order  in query properties this not makign any change.
              POdate            Material
    Ex: - 01-0102010   4010100010
            02-01-2010    40101000020

    Hi,
    Please check "Sorting" options in Query Designer.  They are defined for each characteristic placed at rows or columns.
    You can sort according to keys (InfoObject Primary Keys) or Name/Description (InfoObject Texts).  Perhaps the query is sorting but according to a criterion which is different from what it is expected.
    Another thing to take into account is the order in which columns are placed.  Sorting order is defined from left to right.
    For example, if the first column is 0CALDAY and the second is 0MATERIAL, the query first sorts by date and if there are records with the same date, it sorts according to material, and so forth.
    I hope this helps you.

  • Showing 10 records at a time in a multirecord block

    Hello,
    I have a requirement to show 10 records at a time,consider a table in which
    there are 100 records which is associated to a multirecord block,in order to have a web look and feel I need to show first 10(1 to 10) record on load,when the user presses the button "Next 10 records", I need to replace the first 10 records with new set of 10 records(11 - 20),
    Please note that no of records to be displayed at a time will be 10 and our requirement is avoid scroll bar.
    Any suggestions as to how I need to accomplish the task above.
    Thanks and Regards
    Mohan

    You don't need a special button for this because the user can already navigate using the cursor keys and page up/down keys.
    For cursor keys use the key-up, key-down, key-nxtrec and key-prvrec triggers.
    For page up/down use the key-scrup and key-scrdown triggers.
    I suppose the menu option "Query > Fetch Next Set" (key-nxtset) should operate the same as page down.
    An example of the key-scrdown trigger is thisdeclare
         numrecs integer := get_block_property('EMP',records_displayed);
         toprec integer := get_block_property('EMP',top_record);
         thisrec integer := :system.trigger_record;
    begin
         go_record(toprec + (2 * numrecs) - 1);
         go_record(thisrec + numrecs);
    end;This will advance by as many records are in the block and leave the cursor positioned on the same record relative to the top of the block. Eg if there are 10 rows in the block and you're on the first set then the top record will be 1 and you want to make the new top record 11. So you need to call go_record(20), which makes that the bottom record and 11 the top one.
    You'll need to work out how the form should behave when the number of records in the block is not exactly divisible by the number of records in the data because forms won't allow blank records to pad out the bottom of the block and records_displayed isn't a settable property at runtime. So if there are 10 rows in the block and 103 rows of data then the penultimate page will show records 91-100 and the last page will show records 94-103. Should scrolling back up show record 91 at the top, or 84?
    For the key-down/key-nxtrec trigger you'll probably want something like thisdeclare
         numrecs integer := get_block_property('EMP',records_displayed);
    begin
         if :system.last_record != 'TRUE' then
              if mod(:system.cursor_record,numrecs) = 0 then
                   -- last record in this set
                   go_record(:system.cursor_record + numrecs);
                   go_record(:system.cursor_record - (numrecs - 1));
              else
                   next_record;
              end if;
         end if;
    end;If you're at the bottom of one set it will show the next set and go to the top record, otherwise it will just go to the next record. But again, this breaks down when the number of rows in the block and in the data don't divide up evenly.
    I hope this is enough to get you started.
