Show web page within abap web dynpro

Hi,
I am looking for a way to show a web page (like www.google.com for instance) inside an abap web dynpro application.
Any suggestions would be very welcome.
Regards,
Bert

I dont think you can open a Web Browser within a Browser.
But you can call the URL in a new window using the following code;
data lo_window_manager type ref to if_wd_window_manager.
data lo_api_component  type ref to if_wd_component.
data lo_window         type ref to if_wd_window.lo_api_component  = wd_comp_controller->wd_get_api( ).
lo_window_manager = lo_api_component->get_window_manager( ).
CALL METHOD lo_window_manager->CREATE_EXTERNAL_WINDOW
  EXPORTING
    URL            = 'http://www.google.co.in/'
    MODAL          = ABAP_FALSE
    HAS_MENUBAR    = ABAP_TRUE
    IS_RESIZABLE   = ABAP_TRUE
    HAS_SCROLLBARS = ABAP_TRUE
    HAS_STATUSBAR  = ABAP_TRUE
    HAS_TOOLBAR    = ABAP_TRUE
    HAS_LOCATION   = ABAP_TRUE
  RECEIVING
    WINDOW         = lo_window.lo_window->open( ).

    If you simply would have posted here first, there are plenty of people who would have informed you of the current policy to have a data plan active on an account during the entire contract if purchasing a discounted smartphone.
    Unfortunately, there are just as many on here who would claim the people informing you about this policy of being Verizon plants spreading disinformation and trying to make people afraid to upgrade via this route.
    Yes this is a new policy, one which has been pointed out multiple times in these forums.  Good luck, but I doubt you will have an outcome over this which will make you happy.
    Verizon is closing as many loopholes to keep unlimited data as they can.

  • Show Web Dynpro as a Pop up on CRM Web-gui from ABAP Call

    Hello Everybody,
    i have a created a Web Dynpro Application in Z'* naming Space and want to show this WD as a POP up on the CRM Business Partner.
    Step by Step Description of what I have done.
    1) Want to change the Business Partner Addresse on CRM page ( Change Addresse and Press Enter).
    2) A User-Exit 'EXIT_SAPLSZAR_001' has been Implemented to do Addresse Validation and select the Addresse which match the Addresse Search and show the data as a Pop-UP ( this Functionality work on SAP Gui perfectly).
    3) When the User comes from Web gui then naturally shows an Error, so i have created a Web Dynpro and try to call  it with  Function Module 'PRGN_GENER_EXECUTE_URL'.(Error: Frontned Error).
    Question: How can I call my Z* Web Dynpro as a Pop up from my User Exit without closing the CRM gui.

  • Integration a Web Dynpro ABAP application within one of my EP overview page

    Hi Experts,
    I've got an issue when integrating a Web Dynpro ABAP application within one of my EP overview pages.
    We've implemented PLM using the Web Dynpro ABAP scenario for employees. Now Iu2019m trying to integrate this into the Employee Self-Service overview page. I've got no issue to make the icon and area title appears, but when I click on it I get a blank page with Error 404. However when clicking on the link in the navigation bar (Level 2) then I get the page fine. So it looks like EP is not able to integrate correctly the Web Dynpro ABAP into the overview page in EP. Is there any specific Resource configuration?
    One more thing is that if I've implemented the same iView using Resources -> Services -> Sub Areas -> Areas everything works fine, but I receive two navigation Levels (Area Group contains the Area Link and when I click it brings me to Sub Area with the single Service Link) I want to avoid this double clicking, calling the application directly from Area Group -> Area link.
    Anyone has ever come across that kind of issue? Has anyone ever integrated a WDA application directly into an overview page?

    Hi,
    We faced a similar problem with BSPs and had to change the definition of the area link type entry.
    I am assuming you have set the area link type to WebDynpro for ABAP and the resource is calling an Iview/page that has the WD ABAP application configured.
    To get around the error, change the Area Link type to Calls a Portal page and make sure the resource calls an Iview/Page that has the WD ABAP application configured.

  • Showing Image in Web Dynpro using ABAP

    Hi All,
    I am new to Web Dynpro ABAP , basically my requirement is to show a image , could any one please tell me the steps to do that , i have already uploaded the image in application server using T-code smw0 , and in the layout i have taken the element IMAGE.
    I have also made the context node as Image and under that i have made three attributes named as :-
    IMAGE (Context Node)
    source (Attibute type string)
    tooltip (Attribute type string)
    visible (Attribute type WDUI_VISIBILITY)
    In the WDDOINIT  method i have written the following code.
    DATA:
    context_node TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node,
    context_elem TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element,
    stru_image TYPE if_image_view=>element_image.
    fill structure with values
    stru_image-source = 'abc.gif'.
    stru_image-tooltip = 'Image Tooltip!!'.
    stru_image-visible = '02'. "=visible
    navigate to <IMAGE> via lead selection
    context_node = wd_context->get_child_node( name = `IMAGE` ).
    get element via lead selection
    context_elem = context_node->get_element( ).
    bind structure to context element image
    CALL METHOD context_elem->set_static_attributes
    EXPORTING
    static_attributes = stru_image.
    But I am getting the error if_image_view does not exist.
    Please help me and guide me if I am proceeding in a wrong way.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Rachit Khanna

    Hi ,
    Its very simple ....
    Dont use any transaction to upload image.
    right click on component and select
    create->mime_object->import
    suppose ur image is on desktop...
    So select the path of desktop select the image and click ok.
    U will see an MIMEs named folder in ur component and under which u will have ur image.
    now add image element into UI and there u will have source name property ...just write the name of ur image file and test ur application.
    U can see the image in output..
    (Also there are different properties of image element to set the position and other things)
    any queries ..feel free to ask
    regards

    Hi Diz,
    I tried doing the same thing by following the steps as mentioned by you. Just to re iterate,
    1. Created a DC "Portal Application Standalone" project by the name myservice.
    2. Created a portal service inside myservice by the ame AmitsService.
    3. Exposed IAmitsService.class in the public part.
    4 Build and deployed the DC on server and tested it through an abstract portal component and it worked FINE !!
    Now..
    5. Created anoter DC of type WebDynPro
    6. Added SAP_JTECHS -> epbc.prtapi._api as a "Used DC" with dependency build time and runtime
    7. Specified the sharing reference in the properties as PORTAL:sap.com/myservice
    8. Tried to reference the service using the following code..
    IAmitsService portalservice=(IAmitsService)WDPortalUtils.getServiceReference(IAmitsService.KEY);
    9.Build and deployed the DC.
    10. When I run the application I am getting the following error

  • Interactive Form within Web Dynpro ABAP

    Hi,
    I've an Adobe interactive form element within Web Dynpro ABAP view. I've more than one WebDynproActiveX buttons within the Interactive form (like Submit, Cancel, Clear).
    How can I differentiate the user selection within Webdynpro  ? Whether the user selected Submit or Cancel or Clear ? Can we associate any function code for each button ?
    Thanks
    Ravikumar

    Hi Ravi,
    You can take a context attribute lets say "STATUS"(string) in your form context.  For your buttons in the form, in click event set the value. like
    STATUS.rawValue = "1";      (eg Submit)
    STATUS.rawValue = "2";      (eg Cancel)
    And in your submit event read this context attribute and you can use CASE like when 1 , when 2 etc and you can execute your code accordingly.
    it should solve your problem.
    With Regards,

  • EREC: theme for Web Dynpro ABAP pages (external candidate)

    Hello,
    I have created a custom theme in the SAP Netweaver Portal for my customer and now I have the requirement to use the same theme for my stand-alone Web Dynpro ABAP applications (pages for the external candidate). Is it possible to use the same stylesheet as in the portal, without having to recreate a theme?
    I tried several options, but none of them did work:
    A. Downloading the portal theme as a ZIP file and then uploading it in ERP using the report BSP_UPDATE_MIMEREPOS (after unzipping) to a location /SAP/PUBLIC/BC/UR/nw5/themes/CUSTOM_THEME. After that, I call my application with the additional URL parameter sap-wd-themeroot=/SAP/PUBLIC/BC/UR/nw5/themes/CUSTOM_THEME but it does not work (the app is displayed with the default sap_tradeshow stylesheet)
    B. I also tried calling my app using the URL parameter sap-cssurl=/SAP/PUBLIC/BC/UR/nw5/themes/CUSTOM_THEME but here again, it does not work (the app is displayed with the default sap_tradeshow stylesheet)
    C. Downloading the portal theme as a ZIP file and then uploading it (zipped) using the report WD_THEMES, but here I receive the error "no themes found in the ZIP file". I have the same error if I upload only the ur.zip I receive from the portal (instead of uploading the whole *.zip file)
    I checked the UR versions both in portal & ERP, and we had a lower version in the portal than in the ERP, so we upgraded the portal version according to SAP note 1446099. Now we have a higher version in the portal than in the ERP. We regenrated the portal theme and downloaded it again, but with the same result.
    Does anyone have an idea what could be the solution to our problem?
    Thanks in advance!

    I would recommend to try another way. If it is possible to access any SAP Portal from outside you can use two URL Parameters to integrate the Portal style sheets in a standalone WDA application. The parameter sap-cssurl contains the absolute URL address to the style sheet and parameter sap-cssversion the current SAP Portal style sheet version. For all external facing scenarios it is important to use the whitelist mechanism to block unknown URLs.
    Example
    ?sap-cssurl=http://myportal.myserver.com:50000/irj/portalapps/com.sap.portal.design.urdesigndata/themes/portal/mytheme/ur/ur_ie6.css
    &sap-cssversion=7.11.5.20.0
    I canu2019t recommend to raise manually the version number. You will not get an consistent system this way. The meta data (project.zip) are outdated and of course you will get an outdated theme.

  • Web Dynpro Layout - Shows The page cannot be displayed

    Hi

    Can someone help me to fix this issue.

    Hi,
    Check the SAP notes 1009930 and 1008689. Also ensure that you have activated  /default_host/sap/public/bc/webdynpro/viewdesigner  & /sap/bc/wdvd/ nodes in SICF.

  • Web dynpro abap cannot display web page

    Hello
    when running Test in se80 on my web dynpro application the browser says it cannot display the web page.
    1. the url of the wd application is http://<hostname>.domain.ext:8000/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/<component name>
    2. rz10 says that profile NSP_DVEBMGS00_<hostname> has icm/host_name_full = <hostname>.domain.ext
    3. rz11 says that icm/host_name_full = <hostname>.domain.ext
    4. smicm says that  icm/host_name_full = <hostname>.domain.ext
    5. in etc/hosts on vista 32bit version 6002 I have put:
    127.0.0.1       localhost
    127.0.0.1       <hostname>.domain.ext
    10.10.0.10      <hostname>.domain.ext
    <empty line>
    I also have
    SAPGLOBALHOST                              <hostname>
    rdisp/mshost                                <hostname>
    and no values at all for
    SAPLOCALHOST
    SAPLOCALHOSTFULL
    in the profiles.
    The following works:
    http://localhost:50013/sapmc/sapmc.html?SID=NSP&NR=00&HOST=<hostname>.
    Can anyone help me? I read that many of you have solved this but, you see, I do not understand what you have done.

    Setting icm/host_name_full to <hostname>.domain.ext in rz10 in profile NSP_DVEBMGS00_<hostname> means:
    1) I can no longer see my web dynpro view layout in se80 - instead of the view layout I get a browser screen that says the page cannot be displayed;
    2) I get the same browser screen saying the page cannot be displayed when running the wd application test.
    If I remove that parameter in rz10 then:
    3) I can see and work with my view layouts in se80;
    4) I get a 500 rabax state error when I do the wd application test;
    5)  I can do a successful wd application test by changing the url manually in the browser from <hostname>:8000 to localhost:8000 ...  as in
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BSP/FullyQualifiedDomainName(FQDN).

  • Adding an ABAP Web Dynpro application to a Java Web Dynpro screen

    Hey fellow SAPers
    This is an interesting one .........
    We have developed a bespoke ABAP Web Dynpro screen that we want to include into a tabstrip in a Java Web Wynpro application. We have managed to do this by inserting an iFrame into the tabstrip, and then passing the UWL of the ABAP Web Dynpro app. This works. However, life is never that easy and of course whenever the screen is refreshed, the ABAP WD app is called again and so any changes to the data on the ABAP screen are lost as the data in the ABAP app is re-selected and the data returns to it's original state.
    Does anyone know:
    - of another way to incorporate an ABAP WD screen into a Java WD screen (as a tabstrip)
    - how to de-activate a Java view so that the view containing the ABAP WD app is refreshed (i.e. the window is refreshed), the view is not refreshed and the ABAP app is not re-called .....
    - any other ideas ....
    of course, we could re-develop the same screen in Javam, but that would be too easy
    Looking forward to your responses
    Jon

    > Would you not use Portal for that and incorporate two iViews in a Page?
    I'm guessing you want to show this within the WDJ app not above, below to the left, right...
    This is a very very difficult thing to do - I'm guessing that you are not actively passing data into the URL of the WDJ IFrame, but just have "decorated" the WDJ app with the a statically linked IFrame. In this case the only thing you have to tie the two together is the user id that you are using - and potentially the time the app was launched. You could in theory use a shared memory area (watch out for multi app server environments) to store the state of the app in case it got refreshed... but this is not a simple thing to do...
    Consider if it is absolutely necessary to enhance the WDJ in place - hopefully you can just replace it with a WDA when you install EhP5
    Good luck,
    Chris

  • How to display response of http request as a web page in ABAP?

    Hi all,
    In ABAP, we can use class <b>cl_http_client</b> to send a http requst and then got the response data as a XSTRING variable. Usually, the response data is the html source of a web page. How to display this web page within dynpro?
    I found we can use class <b>cl_gui_html_viewer</b> to display the web page of a URL or data in SAP web respository. Is there any way of using it to load response data in cl_http_client and display that web page?
    Thanks a lot.

    Welcome to SDN.
    1. use http_client->response->get_cdata( ).
    to get the response data in string format instead of xstring format.
    2. use FM CONVERT_STRING_TO_TABLE to covert the string to table of type W3HTML
    3. use method
    data: l_doc_url(255) type c.
          call method html_control->load_data
                      exporting
                         type         = 'text'
                         subtype      = 'html'
                      importing
                         assigned_url = l_doc_url
                      changing
                         data_table   = html_table.
    call method html_control->show_data

  • Error while accesing ABAP web dynpro application

    Hi Experts,
    We are getting warning symbol on web page status bar, when we are accessing the ABAP web dynpro application
    only first page of application is getting loaded and when we click on page it is showing error on status bar and we can perform any thing.
    once we double click on warning icon,
    below details are coming:
    Line: 1491
    Char: 3
    Error: Object Expected
    Code: 0
    URL: url of the ABAP web dynpro application
    This scenario is occuring for many ABAP WD application for a client.
    Please guide how to solve this issue?
    Thanks!
    Piyush

    Hi
    First try a very simple application with nothing in it just one text saying Hello World
    Run it and see what happens.
    Also check if your url uses FQDN name. something like https:
    company.name.co:50000\.......
    If you do not use the FQDN it will always show a script error on the bottom and some functions will not work e.g
    dropdowns.
    regards
    Yuval.

  • Is there a way to get Web Dynpro ABAP available in a ECC 5 - NW2004 env?

    We will start developing an offline Adobe interactive form with email functionality for ECC 5 on very short terms. We have to decide asap what client/server configuration we will use for this new functionality. We will also develop an online interactive form and an offline form with upload/download functionality for ECC 5. We will have to setup a client/server configuration that supports all 3 scenario's.
    The main reason we would like to have NW2004S available for ECC 5 is because we would like to develop the forms in Web Dynpro ABAP instead of Java. Guided Procedures is a "nice to have" too, but not really important at this moment.
    At this moment we think we have 3 options:
    1. Investigate if we can make an Adobe solution in WDA for ECC 5 with our current setup
    2. Upgrade ECC 5 - NW 2004 -> NW 2004S to get WDA functionality available
    3. Install ADS for NW 2004 to be able to create Adobe solutions in ECC 5, then we will have to develop in WDJ
    1. We have the following configuration up and running: NW2004S - CRM 5 and ADS installed: both Java and ABAP stack work properly. We are wondering if we could develop an Adobe interactive form in Web Dynpro ABAP in CRM 5 using BAPI's to retrieve the data from ECC 5 and put it on the form for display or update purposes. Also we have questions about the email functionality: do forms have to be send by email via a mailserver from ECC 5 via CRM 5 and back or can this be done directly from and to ECC 5 or is it not possible at all? Also we don't know if we can develop an online interactive form for ECC 5 via CRM 5. The current setup is not a real option for us right now as we see far too many uncertainties. Does somebody can give us some answers on the possibilities we are looking for?
    2. My assumption is that upgrading ECC5 to ECC6 can be compared with upgrading 46C to ECC5. If my assumption is correct, this would mean an upgrade project with a 6 months leadtime within our company. If my assumption is wrong, please let me know. This upgrade will happen some day, but it has not been planned for 2007. So unfortunately, for us this is not an option at the moment because we cannot wait that long. I was hoping an upgrade of NW2004 -> NW2004s was not that time consuming but I guess this can be compared with a SAP upgrade project like 46C -> ECC 5.
    3. Installing Adobe Document Services for NW2004 is not our preferred solution but we think it is the safest/easiest solution at this moment to get started with Adobe interactive forms for ECC 5 on short terms. We will have to develop in Web Dynpro for Java, so be it.
    WDA is not a must but if we can find a client/server setup which gives us the possibility to build in WDA for ECC 5 functionality, that would be great. That's why I dropped the question on SDN. I want to be sure we choose the best option possible at this moment for us.
    kind regards
    Angelique

    Yesterday I got new information through SDN which sounds very interesting:
    There are technical repository integration points between ECC and the underlying SAP NetWeaver release. To get Web Dynpro for ABAP, you could install a stand-alone SAP NetWeaver 2004s system (without ERP) side-by-side.
    Somebody else wrote: we set up a 3-system landscape of NW04s and have configured single sign on and trusted RFC's so that users can hit the webdynpro pages via the portal, and those systems make the necessary queries to the backend systems via RFC.
    Does somebody know if this stand-alone system could be a proper solution for our situation? Does somebody foresee any problems related to Adobe LiveCycleDesigner or ADS?
