Signature & document integrity

Hello,
I was just playing around with LiveCycle Document Security a little bit, and didn't have any problems with tasks like finding signature fields and collecting info about them.
On the server side there wasn't any problem either to sign one of those fields with a test credential. But if I send such a document back to the client and open it in Acrobat Reader, it says that the signature is invalid because the file had been changed since signing. I didn't apply any changes myself, so I'm asking myself if anyone can give me a hint what I'm doing wrong?
The guess here is that this isn't any kind of error but rather a lack of theoretical knowledge on my side ....
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Steffen.

Sorry, misposted this message. How am I supposed to delete it myself?

  • Document Integration Issue

    Hi All,
In one of my reports, i'm trying the Document Integration for Master Data.
While creating new Document, i have selected 'Mime Type' as 'text/plian'.
On the execution of the query, it is showing the Display Document symbol.
But when i'm trying to display the document (from the context menu, GoTo -> Display Documents), a new browser window is displaying with a the message "The cannot be displayed".
This is the first time i'm working with the 'Document Integration', So , i donot know wether it opens in a new window. Pls let me know...
If it is so, then is the meaning of 'Mime Type' as 'text/plian'.
    Thanks,
    Mr. V

    Hi Michael,
When I try to “create” a callout in the designer-->callouts I can provide the name for the callout, the callout JAR is found, but the method drop-down does not show my method so I can’t actually create the calloutI think you mean that "Implementation Class" drop-down is not listing your class name. Your code seems correct so probably issue may be in the jar packing. Can you please mail across your jar to me? Would like to check it once.

  • BW Document Integration - Upload of Texts from R/3

    Hello,
I have a scenario where I need to maintain small 'notepads' (250 to 500 chars) related to specific values of an infoobject (Business Partner).
    I see two solutions:
    A)
    1) Maintain texts in the R/3 master data maintenance of the corresponding object (Business Partner). These texts are not the ones if the standard *_TEXT extractor.
    2) Extract these texts via some generic data source
    3) Intagrate these texts via some custom modeling (either in a separate ODS or directly into the InfoObject (if fields of 250 characters are allowed?)
    B) Use BW Document Integration.
In this case the texts would maintained in BW and would not exist in R/3.
In both cases the scenario relates to a migration from a legacy application to SAP. THis means that I need to migrate the 'texts' related to the existng data.
This brings up the problem of mass uploading Documents in the Document Integration scenario. I do not see how this is possible in the chapter on Document Integration in BW305.
    Any advise is welcome.
    /thanks with points

  • Document Integration in BPS Layouts

    Hi
If I create a document for a particular <b><b>0SEM_POS</b>IT</b> value (For example 600000), for the keyfigure <b>0Amount</b> and for a given Layout, the same document appears in the other Layouts also eventhough other Layouts are under different Planning Packages.
How to make the document Integration <b>cell specific</b> and <b>Layout specific.</b>
If any one has faced these kind of issues, and also worked on BPS Document integration please reply.
    Thanks
    Sundar

    Sundar/David,
You can do this in BPS WIB, when you create a document attribute and define
parameters around it.This is where you could assiciate a specific planning
package. There are also specific How to Paper..on this topic, please refer.
          Hope this helps.

  • SCRM - Signature document section

    Hello,
I created a non spec related sourcing approval.
    I created its related workflow.
I move this SA onto step 2 where I set a signator.
In step 2 signator receives an email notification and signs off in AGILE system.
Then he checks the sourcing approval: he goes into the SA screen, clicks on SIGNATURE APROVAL TAB.
History is well maintained but signature document section still shows "review".
If another user logs in, he can see information to be correctly updated.
I would like to know why system does not refresh screen although I still click on F5 or CTRL + F5.
Also, how long does it take too?
It is very confusing for all users and signators.
    Please advise
    Regards
    Daniele

SR confirmed it is a bug.
    They will look after it

  • Document integration for Bex reports and web reports

    Hi,
I would like to attach few documentaion (like business usage of the report) for all existing reports in BW system. We are delivering all reports through Bex reports and Web reports.
Report user should be able to see attached documentation through "Document" property in Web report.
I have followed this way but not able to get on-line documentation for queries.
    1. RSA1--> Documents >Meta Data> selected Object type ELEM> Import document> attached word document.
    2. I enabled Documents property in Query designer.
    3. When I executed this query in Bex, I could see document symbol for all characteristics & Key figures in all cell (in default view)
    4. The same result with Web report (all cells are having document symbol).
But I dont want to display documents in defaul view, if any user wanted to have doucment info, then should click on "document" tab and should be able to down load / read on line.
Let me know why I am getting document symbol for all key / char, even though i selected "ELEM". I know we could direclty import documents in query designer, what is the difference..
    Rgds..

    Hi,
Anybody could provide step to step procedure for doucument integration for Bex reports.
    Best regards,

  • CAD Documents integrated in RE80

    Hello,
I come to you again... let's see if someone can help me!
There is in transaction RE80 the possibility of integrating a CAD document. For this purpose you have to create a class than inherits from IF_RECA_CAD_PROVIDER, and redefine at least the method: init.
At this point I am trying to insert a CAD Document, but I can not find the way... I am using the I_OI_DOCUMENT_PROXY interface for opening the document but I get "No program available for processing document". I don't know if I am not using the correct document type, or I am not in the correct way.
I know is something quite specific, but perhaps could someone help me!!
Thanks a lot for your time!
    Araitz.-

    Hi Araitz,
I don't know if it helps you, but there is already good products in the market to fulfill this:
    e.g.: [CIDEON CAFM Suite|http://www.cideon.de/cideon/en/so/produkte/sap_alm/index.php]
For example via Object Services in RE80, you can jump directly to the respective CAD-drawing (displayed SAP-in-place!)
    Best Regards

  • BW Document Integration

    Hi All,
I have a question could anyone advise on, integration points of the data (e.g., customer number, invoice number), in terms of data modeling.
    Any document or guides.
    Thanks in Advace
    Nathan

    Hi
    Customer number, invoice number......
Customer number is master data stored in the master data table and invoice number is the number normally refers the transaction the customer done
In the cube, if u remember extended star schema, you may be aware that how the master data get referred while the transaction data is used for reporting

  • Outlook-Integration: User-Signatur / B1 Integration-Components: Tomcat

    Hallo zusammen,

  • ERP sales document integration

    Hello,
the C4C offers the functionality to see related ERP sales documents in an opportunity. I would like to know the criteria that show these ERP sales documents. Are only open sales documents shown? Are only the last 5 sales documents shown?
    Cheers,
    Koen

    Hello Koen,
When a C4C system is integrated to an ERP system, the integration capability allows to see followup documents to an Opportunity which are created from a C4C Opportunity screen itself.
You get to initiate from within C4C Opportunity:
    1. Customer Quote Request.
    2. Sales Order Request.
Once the above two request are initiated to integrated ECC system, on the ERP system you can create the follow ups to the above docs as:
    1. Customer Quote.
    2. Sales Order.
Once the above four docs are created, on the C4C Opportunity screen, under the tab SALES DOCUMENTS, you get to see:
    1. Document ID for Customer Quote Request created on the ERP system.
    2. Document ID for Customer Quote created on the ERP system.
    3. Document ID for Sales Order Request created on the ERP system.
    4. Document ID for Sales Order created on the ERP system.
When you click on the Document ID of any of the above four documents, you can see a PDF preview of the relevant document.
    Hope this answer helps.
Let me know if you need further information on this.
    Thanks

  • Office 2007 documents integration - SAP Note 1062725

    Hi,
the SAP note regarding the comtability of Office 2007 - documents is gone. Why is that? Has it become irrelevant? Well, we still have this problem and I don't know what to do...

    Hi Danny,
The note is currently in status 'Released for Customer' so it should be available at:

  • Digital signatures with different versions of Reader

I have created a form which requires a digital signature for approval. Typically, an employee will complete the form in Reader and forward it to a supervisor for approval. The supervisor needs to sign it digitally and forward it to me.
The issue we are having is with those employees who are completing the form in Reader and the supervisor (or someone thereafter) has a more updated version of Reader and cannot sign the document. What can we do to stop this from happening? There is no practical way to keep everyone on the same version of Reader. We will have many more forms which require a signature, and we need this issue resolved. (I am using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro to create the forms.)
Also, is there a way to verify the digital signature without using a third-party source? At this point, we know anyone can create a digital signature using someone's hand-written signature they found on another paper and we would like to prevent this from happening. We need to validate the person who used the digital signature is really that person.
Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

If you are creating your forms in Acrobat 9 Pro. and then Reader-enabling them for digital signatures, then recipients of the form will need to use at least version 8 of the Adobe Reader. Also, you'll need to do a few things during the authoring stage of your form, if your form changes by role (i.e., additional data is entered, annotations, or multiple signatures). Mainly you'll need to use a certification sig. for the first signature and set permitted changes after certifying.
You can find a lot more detail on best practices on developing forms for multiple signatures in the Digital Signature User Guide at:
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/acrobat/pdfs/acrobat_digsig_userguide_90.pdf
The guide also explains how to validate documents (authenticity validation and document integrity validation).

  • Digital Signatures Help Requested

I looked through the forums and there was one thread not too long ago that talked about digital signatures but didn't seem to focus on this particular problem, so I figured I'd start a new one hoping someone would have some advice.
We receive a document that is digitally signed by our client. We view the PDF in the full version of Acrobat and have added these users as Trusted Users (in managed trusted identities).
We Verify the Signatures that were added to the document and see the digital signatures at the bottom of the document but there's one thing that's not showing up and that's the actual "signature" or "signed signature" of the person. We only see a typed out version of their name.
We've spoken to our client and they maintain that we should be viewing the "signed signature" and we need to figure it out.
When I check the Signature Properties, it tells me that their signatures were created using "Entrust.PPKEF". Could this be the problem?
As much as I'm reading up on Digital Signatures, it's my belief that we don't need to purchase any other software in order to view these properly. Am I mistaken.
Any help would sure be appreciated.
    Paul

    Hi Paul,
Are you expecting a "wet ink" type of signature? That is, an image in the signature field that is a copy of a signature someone created with pen and paper? If that's what you really need then maybe a digital signature workflow is not what you should require from your client. However, in many respects a digital signature (at least in the electronic world) is a much more powerful tool then a wet ink facsimile.
In this day and age, anyone could grab an image of a wet ink signature, crop it and use it apply it to a document as if they were the original signer. In others words, in the electronic world a wet ink signature is not very secure. However, a digital signature cryptographically binds the signer to the document. As long as the digital ID used to create the digital signature comes from a trusted third party (i.e. a certificate authority that vettes the identity of the individual before they issue the digital ID) then you are get two things from the digital signature. One is document integrity (you will know if the document has been altered post signing), and the other is non-repudiation (the signer cannot deny that they were the person that applied the digital signature). If you are accepting digital IDs (it's the "manage trusted identities" thing you mentioned) issued by a certificate authority that does not vette the identity of the signer then you have to be a bit more leery of trusting the signer.
I don't know if the Entrust signature method has the ability to add a custome appearance that includes the wet ink facsimile, but if it does, your client could create a digital signature whose appearance looks like a wet ink signature. However, the bottom line is the lack of a wet ink  facsimile is not a cause of concern when it comes to digital signatures  in PDF files.
