Sim tray not opening

Hi, i bought Iphone 4 from carrier and I found the sim tray can't get out
I tried many times but same thing, then i went to carrier they told me this is out of warranty because sim tray corners little damage because I tried to pull it out
can apple help me to replace it from Carrier ?

Page 20 tells you how you should have removed the SIM tray. By not following these instructions you may have damaged it.

Yeah, I have to agree with RoamingGnome...this sounds like more of a Jailbreak issue, not an Apple issue. If you bought this phone from a legal distributor and just haven't upgraded your iOS since 3.1.2, I'd contact the place where you purchased it. If you Jailbroke or bought it Jailbroken to get it Unlocked to use with any carrier, my best solution would be to search the net. I'm pretty sure there is a current Jailbreak for up to iOS 5.1.1, but I'm not really up to date with that information. I do know that you can legally now purchase a factory unlock from Apple, but I'm not sure if that's only with new purchases or if you can buy an Unlock for an older phone.
My best solution would be to search your phone revision & iOS online and you should get what you're looking for. Sometimes you can even just search YouTube and they'll have a step-by-step video showing you exactly how to do whatever you might need to get up & running again.
It's pretty rough being without a cellphone, especially if it's your only communication device. Hopefully this at least pointed you in the proper direction.

DVD tray not openning

OS 10.5.2 will not open DVD tray with F12 key. It will if I mounted on my backup hard drive. How do I fix it?

I haven't got a solution that restores eject the F12. I too have a PBG4 Aluminium and F12 does not open the tray (actually no tray it is a slot drive). Cannot say if it ever did eject. However just to the right of F12 is a an eject button and it works. Why not use that? There are if needed a number of other ways to eject. I prefer drutil commands in Terminal when I have problems.

CD/ DVD tray not opening

I have an early 2008 Mac Pro that has always treated me well and never given me any problems. This morning when I push the eject button on the keyboard it registers on the screen as usual BUT the tray does not open. Any ideas?

sure----carefully pull down the little aluminum shutter covering the lip of the CD/DVD tray, then try the eject key. If it still doesn't work, try repairing permissions, maybe zap PRAM (command+Option+P+R held down for 2 chimes on startup, then released) . If That doesn't work, the DVD drive itself might be on its way out. Replacement is simple, requiring a little time, and a #1 or #0 Phillips screwdriver. the drive itself is an ATAPI/ IDE which may be hard to find. You can even use a PC DVD burning drive of the same type, if you can find one easily. If you can't find one of that type, you can use an eSata drive with a bridge board that plugs into the back of the drive. there may be some eSata connectors on the logic board of your Mac Pro, but they are somewhat hard to get at, but not impossible. there is a screw at the side of the aluminum shutter which can be loosened a little bit if that's the problem, if not.....inserting a straightened paperclip into the hole at the front of the CD/DVD drive will release the tray enough for you to grab the disc, should there be one, from the tray....

However, I am getting the following message and unable to open the file:
this tutorial cannot be run by this version of SAP Tutor. To run the tutorial you must licence SAP Tutor
Can anyone kindly help me to fix this error.

Ipad sim tray not closing

After inserting a new SIM card into my new IPad 4 I can't close the slot completely. It seems to be jammed. Can I get any suggestions?

Well, you will just have to keep trying to physically remove it, then. Try pushing with a pin then using a very thin blade to pry it out.

Use a small thin piece of plastic (metal tools are likely to scratch the case) and work along the seams of the tray. In all likelihood your tool is unlocking it but the tray itself is a bit gummed up, jammed. Be patient, don't force things, and you'll probably get it open in short order.

Broke a pen's nib in my ipad sim tray opener hole, now I can not close it fully, what can I do?

I lost my sim opener pin. So I was trying to open my iPad 4 sim with a pen. But the pen's nib broke inside the hole. Now my sim tray is not closing .

Remove the SIM try and try and shake the pen nib out.
You may need a sharp pointed tweezer to help remove nib.

sprint shouldnt have locked the sim tray anyways and i think this is just wrong because i payed for the phone and should be able to do what i want with it. they say you can unlock the sim card or the tray i guess if you in good standings with the company an apperantly im not so i was wondering if somthing can be done about this because i see no hole or anything to even open the tray someone HELP ME ! please and thank you

No. Nothing can be done about this. It was made clear quite some time ago what the situation was going to be.
Now... That said, if you have an iPhone 4S, there is a SIM tray on the right hand side of the phone.
If you have an iPhone 4 as you indicate, THERE IS NO SIM TRAY. The iPhone 4 is NOT a world Phone. You can only use that phone on Sprint or roam to their CDMA partners where present. The phone will not work at all throughout most of the world, including Europe.

Sounds like the SIM was not cut properly.... likely not much that can be done short of opening the device if the SIM tray will not eject.

Lately, when i open a tab, it does not open on top of already open tabs. I am forced to minimize Firefox and then click on the tab in my bottom tray to open it? Why would that be?

I am showing firefox in my tray but when I click on it, it will not open to a full screen. I have been using it up until today without a problem in Windows 7

When I put my mouse over the firefox icon in the lower tray it shows small pictures of the home page but when i click on these they will not open to a full page. I am using windows 7. This problem just started today. I can use internet explorer without a problem. Thanks for any assistance you can give. I contact HP and they said to contact your support as they only support internet explorer.

Blackberry Passport sim tray issue is prevalent and they will not fix it for you because it is your fault. Ridiculous.

I bought my Blackberry passport on Feb 13rd. Right out of the box the sim tray didn't read the sim. I thought it is my sim's problem, so I waited for another sim. New sim came in, still didn't read. After a long call with customer support and BB virtual support, I had my device sent in around mid March. They checked it and said I damaged the sim tray and I need to pay 268$ to have it fixed. I though it is ridiculous since I haven't done anything to the phone. So I argued with them and eventually they agreed to have my fixed without cost.
However when they sent me back the device, I poped in the sim and it only works for 1 day, on and off the second day and then not reading the sim at all after that. I think the sim tray's problem with the passport is prevalent and the pin can be broken by the simple act of poping in the sim card. My ATT sim is working perfectly fine on the 5s and my brother's iphone 6.
After 2 days of receiving the "repaired" device, I call them again and this time they said it is certainly my fault and if I send it in again, I will have to pay 268$ to have it fixed.
So I thought for people out ther if you have a passport, don't pop in and out the sim card. It can really easily be broken.
For me, I think now I just gonna use my "broken sim tray new passport" as a reading device. After 10 years, I will officially switch to other brand. Still love the keyboard though, but anyway.

Check that your sim card does not have a burr or edge on it before you insert it, as that may be what's damaging the SIM pins.
Site anly allow linlks to web images, so here's what the tray is supposed to look like - with the SIM cover on.
FWIW - a T3 torx driver is required to remove the screws around the SIM and TF card tray cover. That would allow you to look at the underlying pins - and possibly - with a bit of luck, fix them on your own.
