Simple report tree

Hi expert,
I have to develop a simpy report tree. In the left column i have to put a list of item, and at the right respectively object.
For exemple:
at left: table's name, if click on, at right is displayed the table and the user can modify data.
I see BCALV_GRID_DND_TREE, but i think is complicated, do you know something more easy to develop ?

If you specifically want to be provide the ability to update several tables from within one transaction, i.e. have a list of tables on the left and the ability to modify their content on the right then you could create a viewcluster using SE54.

I am trying to change the discription in the report tree that has been built.
As of now the report tree shows the description which is linked to the reports.
My issue is that i need to give some other description and not the one which is linked to the reports.

Generate a simple report in XML publisher

Hello,
I have a simple Oracle Report 9i which displays data from four tables. It uses three different queries to get the data. How can I simply generate a similar report in XMLP without using the oracle report? I tried joining the queries (like outer join) but wasn't able to get the format which report 9i was generating.
Each table has two columns to be equated with other tables among the four i.e (A.c1=B.c1 AND A.c2=B.c2). The results are displayed in a hierarchial manner. Could anyone please help me out with a clear approach? Please let me know if I need to be more clear.

Check out in BIP user guide, fior sample simple reports.
to give you an overview ,this is the way BIP works ,
you create code to genrate the xml through any method from DB.
and Bip merges the xml and your template to get you the output you wanted.
BIP does more than what i have said, just go thru user guide :)
if you are expecting some help from your xml and xsl code,
paste your xml here and your xplanation , what you are expecting.

BOE XI 3.1: Problem with Simple Report Filter.

Hi everyone!.
One requirement that i have in one customer is about the use of simple reports filters, the customer doesn't want to use the input controls.
If i add one simple report filter and save the report, the final user can add other simple report filters, but the problem is that the name "Others" appears with all the variables than i have created to be used in the report.
Is it possible to hide the group "Others"?

If I understood you clearly, I think you have few variables created and one set of variable is called Others and you dont want users to see it.
There are couple of things you can do.
First one is to Use Othere filters as constant and it will not appear.
Second you can use others filter at Report level and it will not prompt to users.

I have a ALV report tree program. In that i need the functionality to download report output in excel file.
Can any body suggest how can i achieve download to excel functionality in it.

The data for the tree exist in the NODE table in a different format. So, even you download that table, it will not be downloaded in the TREE format. So, the user will not be able to understand the data unlike the case of a ALV GRID.
Whether it is a TREE / GRID, ultimately its the data of a internal table, that gets downloaded. But in case a TREE, we don't have the data in a straight forward way . i thnk it is not possible . i am not sure too for this .

Problem when down loading a simple report to Excel sheet

Me and my functional are in urgent need of important information. My functional has generate CO-PA reports and now they have asked us to attach those reports to a report tree. hi i have spent more than 5 days trying to make a very simple rich faces tree but with no result
i want to make a very simple dyamic tree
for example i have a button when i click it.i want to add two nodes in my tree("node 1" and "node 2")
i have also failed in making even a static tree with richfaces i think that some thing is wrong with them i checked the live demo website

1 of my 2 simple reports is not shown on Iphone

Dear Experts,
I have developed 2 simple reports for Iphone. One of them is shown properly and the other one is only displayed as a grey and blank site. There are no errormessages. The reports don't have any parameters. The preview in SAP BO works fine.
You can guess my question. What is wrong with the second report? Thanks for any helpful answer.

How deploying a simple report as .jsp

i have read the last days many document, and messages on this board.
But I could not find answers.
My problem is:
I create a simple report with reportbuilder and save this to mysample.jsp.
I copy this file to Oracle Application Server j2ee\OC4J_BI_Forms\applications\reports\web\.
When i call the report from web http://myservername/reports/mysample.jsp?userid=.
The server return follow error:

Exception:
java.io.FileNotFoundException

Are you sure you're copting the Reports to the right place. There's a difference running Developer Suite and Application Server. Check documentation and/or Metalink. Also, I would place this question next time in the Reports forum, not in the Application Server (General) forum:

Hi all,
I would like to create a report similar to the standard report S_ALR_87013611 - Cost Centers: Actual/Plan/Variance (i.e. have a report tree on left and report listing on the right). Is there any sample program I can reference to? Or which classes I can use?
I know how to create a report with a report tree and an alv grid. But I just have no idea on how to make a report with display like S_ALR_87013611.
