Single ECC multiple APO

Hi,
We have a single ECC system , and 2 different APO systems. The first APO system is already connected with ECC and live.
Is it possible we open up interface with second APO system using same ECC system (and same client).
If yes then, BASIS has a question how will the inbound CIF queues be handled wheneverything is CF*
Please share some thoughts on this
Thanks,
TJ

Hello Tejinder,
Satish is absolutely right. You have to create separate BSG for two APO systems.
Please consider all the points he has mentioned. Although I would like to add something on point no 2.
SAP has standard BADIs to change the names of products and location which will make them unique in ECC system.
e.g. APO system1 (logical name aposystem1) has product named "A" and APO system 2 (logical name aposystem2) also has product named "A"
when you CIF these two products to one ECC system, it is going to create conflict in ECC.
So, you can implement standard BADIs which will change the names of these two products in ECC like A@aposystem1 and A@aposystem2.
ECC will identify these two products as different products.
Here are the BADIs
ZXCIFUSERU08 for material data
ZXCIFUSERU06 for location data
I hope below link will help you in implementing this BADI.

  • Multiple SRM and single ECC in landscape

    Hi all,
    I have a requirement where we need to implement SRM 7 in one region (so that we are able use the new features) and continue with SRM 4 for the other regions. Both the SRM systems will connect to the single ECC 5 system in the landscape.
    Has anyone implemented a similar scenario where multiple SRM systems are connected to one ECC system
    What are the problems that one will encounter.
    Self service procurement, Supplier self services and strategic sourcing are the scenarios that are currently configured.
    Contract management may be used in the future
    Any suggestion / idea will be greatful
    Thanks
    Venkat

    Hi Venkat,
    yes, it's possible to link the same ECC backend system to different SRM systems (with different releases). We have also a scenario like this.
    The only problem what comes up to my mind is, that you need to take care about the number ranges (as the PO, RS... number ranges are from the point of view external numbers).

  • Possibility of connecting multiple BW systems to single ECC system

    Hi all,
    I have a requirement in my company to connect multiple BW systems to single ECC system. Would like to confirm whether this may not be supported by all BW extractors in particular the delta mechanism?
    For logistics extractor in ECC side in RSA7 it stores BW System as target which shows they support multiple BW systems as target, but for FI extractors which keeps delta timestamps in BWOM2_TIMEST table, it doesn't store the target system. I'm afraid if we connect multiple BW systems to single ECC system, some of the delta records might go to one BW system and some others go to the other BW system when we execute delta load in both BW systems.
    Thank you very much in advance.
    regards,
    arie

    Hi,
    You can very well connect multiple BW systems to single ECC system and you will not miss any delta as well. In the source system for each delta data source a delta queue is maintained for each target system.
    for e.g. I have two BW systems ABW and BBW connected to AEC system then for 0FI_AP_4 data source we will have DQ1_ABW and DQ2_BBW as two different delta queues (I am not following any naming conventions, actual names will be as per the target system logical name).
    The settings maintained in BWOM2_TIMEST table are across the system and they define some global settings e.g. till what time the FI data should be extracted in BW system, for e.g. the time maintained is 2.00 AM then though you do extraction from multiple systems same data will be extracted till next time interval occurs.
    In summery you can very well connect multiple BW systems to a single ECC system.

  • Regarding Integration Model to CIF from ECC to APO

    Hi ,
    Please assist me in the following issues:
    What will the impact if any material is ciffed twice or multiple times from ECC to APO through IM ...will it generate inconsistency ? if so, how we can avoid this ?
    While I'm ciffing the material from ECC to APO through IM, the ' Find Master Data Object ' is showing certain number say 'X' but when I'm running CTM for it the explosion of BOM  of Master Data is showing less number of material than 'X'...in that case what might be the possible issue ?
    While generating IM , can I club Sale Order, Sale Order Stock, Planned Order, Prodn order under same variant ? or ill it generate inconsistency ?
    TIA
    -Michael

    Hi Michael,
    1. It is not a problem. Is is quite common to CIF materials twice a days or even more. It shoul not generate inconsistencies.
    2. You could have more materials than materials bith BOM. In other words, maybe not all your materials have a BOM.
    3. Its recommended to have a separate integration model for your object.
    Read this document with the Best Practices:

    Also, note that I was mentioned by Dog Boy, it is convinient asking single questions in your threads. This way you will find more responses.

  • Withdrawal Qty don't match between ECC and APO

    Hi Experts.
    I am facing a discrepancy for Withdrawal Qty between ECC and APO before delivery/PGI creation.
    In ECC T.code MD63 I am able to see the withdrawal Qty as expected but in APO a duplicated withdrawal Qty is being created. But this is not happening for all materials, only some specifics materials. I did a check in Material Master data and I have no found any difference between a material that is working and one that is not working...
    Can please somebody explain me why APO is dobling the Withdrawal Qty.
    Thanks a Lot
    Daniel Campos.

    Please check wthether you have dp index duplication in this problem.
    Please follow the process.
    For this process , you need to follow these steps .
    1. From the table /SAPAPO/MATKEY , find the product id of the product for which you feel there is problem .
    2. Find the location id from table /SAPAPO/LOC for the location.
    3. Use the above found 'product id' and 'location id' to find the dp index in table "/SAPAPO/DP_HEAD "  .
    Enter the planning version ' 000 ' in this table . If there is some error you will find multiple entries of the 'dp index ' in this table for the ' 000 ' planning version. If error found use below program to delete the dp index .
    4.  Precaution should be taken before we delete the 'Dp Index' as the consumption history is lost due to this .          In the program  'Z_DEL_WITHDRAWL'  there are 2 check boxes " update " and " list ". List will show the DP index and update will delete it. Need to extremely careful in this program as wrong selection will cause problem .

  • Issue in transfer of data from ECC to APO

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement of transferring data from ECC to APO. I am using EXIT_SAPLCMAT_001 fro this purpose. The problem is, I need to transfer the data of a field that is not present in cif_matloc but present in /sapapo/matloc.
    How should I proceed...Please help....this is an urgent requirement
    Thanks & Regards,
    SriLalitha

    Hi,
    you may want to go to the transaction /SAPAPO/SNP_SFT_PROF
    Determine Forecast of Replenishment Lead Time
    Use
    In this field, you specify how the extended safety stock planning determines
    the forecast of the replenishment
    lead time (RLT). The following values are available:
    Supply Chain
    The system determines the RLT forecast using the supply chain structure by
    adding the corresponding production, transportation, goods receipt, and goods
    issue times. If there are alternative procurement options, the system always
    takes the
    longest
    option into account.
    Master Data
    The system determines the RLT forecast from the location product master
    data.
    Master Data/ Supply Chain
    First, the system determines the RLT forecast from the location product
    master data. If no RLT forecast can be determined, the system determines the
    forecast using the supply chain structure (as described under
    Supply
    Chain
    Dependencies
    You can retrieve the replenishment lead time forecast yourself by using the
    GET_LEADTIME
    method of the Business Add-In (BAdI) /SAPAPO/SNP_ADV_SFT.
    Replenishment Lead Time in Calendar Days
    Number of calendar days needed to obtain the product, including its
    components, through in-house
    production or external
    procurement.
    Use
    The replenishment lead time (RLT) is used in the enhanced methods of safety
    stock planning in Supply Network Planning (SNP). The goal of safety
    stock planning is to comply with the specified service level, in order
    to be prepared for unforeseen demand that may arise during the replenishment
    lead time. The longer the RLT, the higher the planned safety stock level.
    Dependencies
    The field is taken into account by the system only if you have specified
    master data or master data/supply chain in the RLT: Determine
    Forecast field of the safety stock planning profile used.
    Hope this helps.
    The RLT from ECC is in MARC-WZEIT which is transferred to APO in structure /SAPAPO/MATIO field CHKHOR.
    May be if you maintain the setting in the profile, you may get the value in RELDT.
    Thanks.

  • Insert pages from a single document multiple times

    I'm trying to create a simple program that I can use to display PDF files that I can use to play at the piano. I perform often, and need to create "play lists" from which I can pull all, or part of, a PDF file containing music and display it.
    I have it all working, except for one problem. I may need to "repeat" a section of a piece. I'm building up the play list by calling AcroPDDoc.InsertPages for each item in the play list. If a PDF file appears multiple times in the play list, when I call InsertPages, the call fails.
    In this code snippet, pdDoc is the main doc to which I'm adding pages. playList is a generic List of my own PlayList objects, and I need to iterate through all the items in the playList except the first one, which is already loaded.
    This code works great unless the fileName I specify has already been opened. The call to AcroPDDoc.Open succeeds just fine, but the call to pdDoc.InsertPages fails if the file has already had pages from it inserted. All other documents work fine. The documentation, of course, doesn't mention this.
            int insertPage = pdDoc.GetNumPages() - 1;
            for (int i = 1; i < playList.Count; i++)
              var newDoc = new AcroPDDoc();
              var item = playList(i);
              int startPage = 0;
              int endPage = 0;
              if (newDoc.Open(item.fileName))
                startPage = Math.Max(0, item.startPage);
                endPage = Math.Max(0, item.endPage);
                var totalPages = newDoc.GetNumPages;
                if (item.endPage < 0 || item.endPage > totalPages)
                  endPage = totalPages - 1;
                int numPages = (endPage - startPage) + 1;
                if (pdDoc.InsertPages(insertPage, newDoc, startPage, numPages, 0))
                  insertPage += numPages;
    So, the questions:
    1.) Is it possible to load pages from a single document multiple times?
    2.) Is there a better way to do this? (That is, loop through a list of file names, starting and ending page numbers, and add the documents to an existing document.)
    Any help appreciated! Thanks -- Ken

    Hi Ken,
    >The documentation, of course, doesn't mention this.
    The documentation does not state explicitly that you can't insert pages again from a PDDoc you open again and never close.
    But it mentions that you get references only from an already opened PDDoc.
    "...Opens the specified document. If the document is already open, it returns a reference to the already opened PDDoc. You must call PDDocClose() once for every successful open..."
    It doesn't state that you can't insert pages from a referenced PDDoc but it seems so.
    I would close the PDDoc within your for-loop after inserting pages and release newDoc.
    Regards
    Norbert

  • Transfer of PIR from ECC to APO - Time stamp

    Hi Friends,
    We are transferring Planned Independent requirements from ECC to APO through CIF.
    In APO Product view Forecast requirements Date is sync fine with ECC date however the time is setting default to 03:00:00 am.
    we want the time to be set to 06:00:00 am by default.
    How we can we archive this?
    Regards,
    Krish

    Dear Tiago,
    I changed Product view Time zone settings, and issue resolved.
    Thanks for your valuable reply. Awarded you the points.

  • Issue in CIF data between ECC to APO

    Hi Experts,
    We have ECC and APO system in our landscape. we have configured CIF and transferred data between ECC and APO however after ECC system refresh CIF configuration is not working. we verified and reconfigured the CIF configuration but still no luck.
    strange thing is, while sending the data for e.g vendor from ECC to APO, there is no error reported. It displays successful in both qRFC trace files but the transferred data is nt reflecting in APO system.
    There is no system run time error, no errors in system log (SM21), no logs in SLG1 application log, no erros in qRFC trace files.
    we have enabled RFC user trace but can't conclude the issue. could you please anyone let me know where we can check the error log or how to resolve this?

    Thanks and regards,

    Hello Pardeep,
    Please check the setting of SMQS and SMQR for CF and client registration
    these entries, the field 'TYPE' is set to 'R'.
    QIN scheduler may be available for every client if you are working in this client with registered inbound queues.
    Choose Edit->Activate scheduler from the menu (available in both SMQR and SMQS)
    During processing in dialog work processes, the system uses a parallel RFC to restart the registered inbound queues. For this, you can use transaction RZ12 to specify a group of application servers and dialog work processes that are allowed to use a QIN scheduler. You must use transaction SMQR to assign the group name to the relevant QIN scheduler.
    Different parameters in SMQR are explained in note 1579728. The explanation for SMQS is similar
    Also try the report RSQIWKEX

  • Transfer of global settings from ECC to APO

    I know there is the 'transfer of global settings' option from within transaction RSA1 in APO to transfer units of measure, fiscal year variants etc from ECC to APO, to ensure synchronisation.
    How does this actually work? For example, suppose we have 14 units of measure in ECC, but already have 16 units in APO. If we run the synchronisation transaction, what will end up in APO? Is the complete table of units replaced in APO, so we would have just 14 units?
    Thanks, Bob Austin

    there is some explanation to what you have mentioned in Re: Factory Calendar
    this talks about calendars and is relevant till SCM 4.x
    I would imagine the situation would be the same for UOM
    In SCM 5 you have the option to update the tables, Rebuild the tables and also a simulation option

  • How to transfer Sales BOM from ECC to APO DP

    Hi,
    Demand planning require Sales BOM from ECC. Sales BOM in ECC will not have Routing & Work center, then how a PPM with Sales BOM can be transferred.  If i have to create a dummy routing & WC for those sales BOM it will be tidious job to create all the master data. Is there any way to transfer the BOM alone from ECC to APO.
    Please throw some light on it.
    Thanks & Regards
    Shan

    Hi Somnath / Ritesh,
    Are you sure about ciffing Sales BOM(usage 5)to APO as PDS ? Did you test it or your comments are based on SAP documentation?
    I tried to CIF Sales BOM as SNP PDS, it is creating PDS with only parent item.Child items are missing.I have not used any production version here.
    If i use production BOM(usage 1), it is creating PDS with both parent and child items.I have not used any production version here also.
    SAP says BOMs can be ciffed to APO as PDS. No productions versions are required. but it has not mentioned about BOM's usage. May be , Is it by default production BOM?
    One more question, Is it possible to create production version with BOM usage 5? It has no meaning right..
    I think system does not allow you to create production version with BOM usage 5.
    I also tried with BOM usage 2. In this case also it behaves like sales BOM.
    looks like only production BOM can be ciffed with proper BOM structure in APO.
    if required i can send you the link to share screen shots.
    Pls comment..

  • Master/Transaction data from ECC to APO-BW

    Hi All,
         Normally we come across scenarios where Master/Transaction data is pulled from ECC to BW and then pulled into APO-BW. What are the pros and cons of CIF (direct connection between ECC and APo-BW) rather than pulling data from ECC to stand-alone BW and then into APO-BW?
    Regards,
    Joy

    Hi Santhana,
    If you want to add data of ECC to APO BW & Then in to DP, then follow the following Steps.
    1. Create Generic Data Source in ECC for thet Sales Order table.
    2. Replicate that data Source in to APO BW with Source System.
    3. Create whole data flow process by using created Data Source.
        Data Flow Process: 1. Info Package
                                      2. Info Source
                                      3. Info Cube
                                      4. Transformation between DS & IS, Then IS & IC
                                      5. Data Transfer Process.
    4. Load data from ECC to APO BW
    5. Use transaction /n/sapapo/tscube, for copy Info Cube data to Planning Area.
    Hope this will help you.

  • CIF of transaction data from ECC to APO

    Hi,
    I wanted to know where we maintain the configuration for real time transfer of transaction from ECC to APO.
    I know for master data we have an option in CFC9 for real time/periodic transfer. Is there any similar config for transaction data too like sales orders etc.

    Hi Alok,
    To allow online transfer of changes to transaction data from SAP R/3 to SAP APO, you have to activate generally the BTEs in SAP R/3.
    This is done in R/3. This is the path:
    SPRO --> Integration with Other SAP Components --> Basic Settings for the Data Transfer --> Change Transfer --> Change Transfer for Transaction Data --> Activate Online Transfer Using BTE
    You can read about it here:
    Change Transfer for Transaction Data - Integration via APO Core Interface (CIF) - SAP Library
    Then of course you will need to generate and actiave your IModels.
    Kind Regards,
    Mariano
