Size of control

Is it possible to change run-time a number of visible elements in an array control??? For example, I have array of LED's on my form, and I want to change during run a number of visible LED's in my array.
Thanks
Evgeniy

Sure. Use a property node of either Number of Columns (for horizontal display) or Number Of Rows (for vertical display).

No matter the size of data to be displayed in the view suface prompt, the controls have the same size.
Does anyone here know how to change the size of control in surface prompt?

    HI,
In order to change the size of a radio button... one way you may consider is to Customise the Radio Button.
Place a Radio Button (RB) on the FP of a VI, Right-Click the RB > Advanced > Customise...
Click the Mode Button (most Left button) for Edit Mode
Right-click the radio button (the round image) now, you will see a list of actions i.e. Copy to clipboard, import picture ...You will see Four images under the 'Picture Item', those are the images that you will need to replace.
Prepare Four Images of the similar but larger expected size
*** Copy the 1st new image to clipboard. Back to the Picture Item and select 1st image. Then, select Import Picture (to replace the existing image)
Repeat *** for all four images.
Once done, change the mode back to original. Save the *.ctl
You are now ready to use the customised radio button!
Quick sample attached (sorry for the poor images created )

    Hi,
The size is controled by the following parameters.
    control_file_record_keep_time
    maxlogfiles
    maxlogmembers
    maxloghistory
    maxinstances
look at this link for more info.

  • JTextArea & Gridbag layout - max size of control

    Hello everyone:
I am currnetly using a JTextArea with the Gridbag layout. I want to limit the size of the JTextArea. Found an article when I did a "search" that says the size is actually controlled by the layout manager. Have tried setMaximunSize(), no luck. It appears the layout manager ignores this. The problem I am having is that I can set the size I want, however if the user types a lot of text in to the JTextArea, the control expands and over and "pushes" the controls below it down. How do I keep the layout manager from allowing this to happen?
    Thanks in advance, Bart

Thanks in advance, Bart Do you wish to allow the user to enter as much text as he or she likes? If so, wrap the JTextArea in a JScrollPane and set the preferred size of the JScrollPange to the area you'd like the pane to consume. It'll listen, no doubt. :)

  • GUI component size/position control

Hi, everyone. I am trying to write a board game in Java. From my previous experience (I wrote a oscilloscope control interface using JFrame last year), most (or all?) of the GUI components (such as buttons and slider) change their sizes and positions automatically, when I used FlowLayout or BoardLayout layout manager. I also tried the BoxLayout layout manager, but it didn't work well.
Are there any way that I can control the size and the position of GUI components? By using a specific layout manager? or are there any way other than using different layout manager?
When I create my board game, I want my buttons to sit on the exact location I want, and appear at the size I want.
    Thanks a lot.
    Davidson

Absolute positioning or writing your own layout manager is easier than you think, especially in the case of a board game.
Here is what you can do to use existing java class:
    1. extends a JPanel with GridLayout, and overide all methods involving get size and set Size to fixed size. This is your actual game board.
    2. use another JPanel with horizontal BoxLayout, add the panel in step 1 first, then add a Horizontal Glue, so in this new Panel, the width of your game board is honored here.
    3. use another JPanel with verical BoxLayout, add the panel in step 2 first, then add a vertical glue. The height of the game board is honored here.
    4. Both the width and the height are guarantteed to be fixed when the painting area is larger than the actual board.
5.To handle the case where the painting area is smaller than the board, you can use a JScrollPane, or to set the minimum size of the parent container so that it won't happen.

  • How to change heap size in control panel

i've already searches previous post about this problem but still i couldnt get it to work or maybe i'm doing it wrong. i did it a lot of times but still i couldnt get it. can anybody show me how exactly to change the java heap sizes.
and is it possible to display the current java heap size of my jvm?
    tnx in advance
    nashstanley

You can change the heap by using an option to to the java command, when Java starts up. If you're starting an applet or a Web Start app(applies only to applets or Web Start) then use the Java Control Panel's Java tab to set a value.
The syntax (in all cases) is defined in the documetation for the java command.
There are a number of ways to see the heap size, none of which is "standard" Java, and they vary depending on the specifics of which Java you're running and what you're doing. See:

  • Print out size lost control after upgrade to osx 10.9, cannot print 100% document original size, why?

    As subject said.
I'm using Xerox 1450GA, before upgrade to OSX 10.9, printing Adobe file could be in 100% real size. After upgrade, lost control, even checked setting in 100% in setting, come out image still auto reduce few percents, that make me confuse and cannot complete digital printing jobs, someone have same problem?  Please help to solve...

I've spent hours on the phone going in circles with HP's "support" (I use the term loosely here) and can confirm that it's a driver issue. The best part is, HP and Apple claim that neither of them have a copy of the v2.14 driver that actually worked, and I can't seem to dig one up online anywhere. I've tried everything under the sun and just gave up... ordering an Epson and selling both of my HP's. I think the only other option is to wait for HP to release working drivers, but since they don't even seem to understand that their driver is the source of the problem, I wouldn't hold my breath.
It seems really crazy to me that neither the manufacturer nor Apple keep a copy of the previous driver, but that's what I've been told. HP did release what they're calling a new 10.9 raster driver (available on their site), but it didn't fix the problem for me. If you have a timemachine backup from before the 2.16.1 driver was released, I'd restore to that and turn off automatic updates. If you don't (like me) seems like your stuck.

  • Chaging fonts and fonts size of controls

    Dear All,
I have faced one problem for changing the fonts and font size for the controls. I have used
    For changing fonts:-
    Textfield.font.typeface="Fontname";
    For changing Size:-
    Textfield.font.size="100pt";
But I have used the code for changing the color of the fonts. And it works fine.
    Textfield.fontColor="0,183,0";
So, Please help for solving the problems of changing fonts size and fonts.
    Thank you

Why would you want to change the font and font size programmatically?
Can you describe why you are doing this ..perhaps there is a better approach.

  • Photo size limits - control camera image size?

I am working on several forms where I need multiple photos added by user.
These forms will be used on mobile devices (iphone/ipad/android) but I discovered that I quickly hit the 20MB limit after only getting though half of the photo questions. This is especially true when used on iphone 4S or higher where phone cameras generated large images.
Is there a way to limit the file size when the user selects the 'take photo' option when adding an image?  I know you can limit it on the form - but if the camera defaults to a higher size - it errors.

No, we don't have any control over the camera except to get the image.  I think you'll want to give some instruction to the form fillers to change the setting in their phones camera to a lower resolution for the images that they will attach.
    Thanks,
    Josh

  • Feature Request: Brush Size/Feather Control Like CS5

CS5 introduced a brilliant way to adjust brush size and feathering on the fly with a couple of spring-loaded keystrokes.  I plugged those into my Wacom pen and while holding the button simple drag left/right to change size and up/down for opacity.  Works brilliantly.  Would love the same functionality in LR4.

    Well welcome aboard then.
This forum's primarily focused on the new features and bugs that are in this beta.  Your request is great, but as it may not make the final release, and we wouldn't want the request to get lost in beta land, might I suggest adding it as a suggestion on the Feature Request forum http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family where it can easily be tracked?  If you post the link to your request here, others can also vote on your request.  In fact, if you search over there, you may find others with the same idea, so you can add your vote.

  • Maximum send size who controls exchange 2007

    who wins ?
the global settings > transport setting is 20mb
but I also see Send connectors with a limit of 10mb
    thanks

    Hi,
David M is right. In this situation, the limit on send connector will take precedence.
Following are the basic categories for the scope of the limits available for individual messages:
    Organizational limits
    Global limits
    Connector limits
    Active Directory site links
    Routing group connectors
    Server limits
    User limits
The path evaluated is as follows: User Send Limit > Receive Connector > Organization Checks > Send Connector > User Receive Limit
In general, the lowest size limit on an e-mail route determines if a message can be successfully transported from sender to the recipient.
One exception to this approach is the user limits. User level limits take precedence over other message size restrictions.

  • Can interactive report size be controlled?

I have an interactive report. I know the region size grows based on the number of rows I asked to display. However, what I really want is to set the region size and instead of it growing if they ask for lots of rows I would like to have a scroll bar appear so that the report height remains constant. I don't like having them have to navigate using the Apex navigation because it is easier to just drag the scroll bar up or down as desired.

  • Excel 2010 bug -- cannot place controls on chart properly after changing paper size

I have encountered unexpected behavior in Excel 2010 when placing controls on a chart that is a separate sheet. The issue is that the controls (e.g. spinner, scroll bar, etc.) cannot be placed or moved to the right side or the bottom.
    Steps to reproduce:
    1) create a chart as a separate sheet
    2) change the paper size to, for example, A6 (4.13" x 5.83")
    3) change paper size back to Letter (8.5" x 11")
    4) controls cannot be placed on right side or bottom of chart.
It appears that instead of using the current dimensions of the chart paper size to determine where controls may be placed, the smallest dimensions that have ever been applied to the chart are used.
I am looking for a workaround for this issue since I would like to use a paper size large than 8.5" x 11", but I cannot place controls on such a chart properly at this time.
    Any ideas?

I have found a workaround for this issue:
    1) change paper size in your default printer's preferences to the paper size you want in Excel.
    2) afterwards insert or create the chart. It is automatically the correct paper size, and controls can be placed or moved properly.
    3) change default printer paper size back.
In case your chart has already been created, simply copy the existing chart in step 2 instead of inserting/creating.

Is there scripting functions, to allow me to edit a VI's alignment grid size, and control style for creating controls/indicators?  These setting are saved in each VI under the VI Properties, under the Editor Options.  I looked around and couldn't find them.  Thanks.
