Skype Account as Customer Service hotline for busi...

Hi Skype Customer Service,
I have previously sent an email, about two weeks ago, regarding the use of Skype as a customer service hotline- however, we have no received any feedback.
If we could get some assistance, it would be greatly apprpecaited.
Our company would like to use Skype as a customer service tool interface and need the assistsance of Skype to do so.
Our questions are:
1. To who should we speak with to set up a business acount
2. Are there any regualtions/precaustionaries that we must first be aware of
3. Is there dedicated support? Such as, will it always be in the formmat of sending an email (such as this) or is there a hotline available for us to speak to a representative for a faster service.
4. Do you have any other companies that are currently using Skype for the same reason that you would be able to share some of the best practices on how to best use this tool.
There are also a couple more specific questions that arise from these four questions, but we would greatly appreciate feedback regarding these questions to begin the process and then look at more specifics later.
If we could please contact as soon as possible, we are extremely interested in getting this up and running as soon as possible.

To set up a Skype based phone line as the customer service, you will need to use 3rd part software PrettyMay Call Center for Skype which is designed for small business.

    My Complaint:  I have been a Verizon Wireless customer for approx 20 years.  I called customer service to seek an early upgrade for my daughter's phone. She is away in college and her phone is malfunctioning.  She is eligible for an upgrade in approx 6 weeks so I did not want to spend the money on a replacement phone when since we were planning on updating to something newer.  The customer service rep to me they could not do the early upgrade an to call back in a few weeks. After explaining this was unacceptable (I do not like the idea of a young female being out of state and away from home with no reliable means of communication), she places me on hold to later return with the only offer of  I must purchase a new device through her ( over the phone) which will be shipped to me, the phone was priced $100.00 more than the online price (they will not price match), plus i must pay $30.00 upgrade fee, $35.00 activation fee and taxes on the retail price of the phone.  I am upset and disappointed with the quality of service provided by Verizon being a 20 year customer.  If not for the seriousness and urgency of this matter, i would not have asked for an early upgrade.  It is times such as these that you get to see how much of a "valued customer" you really are.   I guess you are valued as long as you pay your bill and continually  purchase their products.  I would like to speak with someone from Verizon's corporate or customer relations department.  As of now I am really considering changing my service to a different provider.  I have multiple accounts with Verizon and i will canx each after the current contract committment expire (starting with my daughter's phone which expires in 6 weeks) In the meantime I will go purchase her a new phone with someone else and take comfort knowing she will have reliable communication.

    I started with them in 1985. It has been wonderful service but very expensive. They seem to operate on day of deposit day of withdrawal. That means that I have no benefits nothing beyond the normal customer if I don't pay my bill they shut me off. That's why I have switch to another provider and I have better service lower cost and better phones. you can't beat  other providers I mean it. Please don't expect more from verizon other than a "pay me more money and I'll do what you want" because it's all about money. Read the transcripts from current Verizon employees all over the internet. The company is going down and they're taking customers with them.

    20 mins after your reply, Adobe put the charge through on my credit card 6 days after they sent me a suspension notice.
    Their account management interface sucks. It does this ajax thing that ever completes and comes up with a message to "try again later" which never works. I had to use the Opera browser to get it to work for some reason. And even when it does, there is no option to request that outstanding balances be charged to your card. My ISP has this, my mobile service provider has this, my web hosting company has this, why can't a big multinational corporation have the same feature instead of getting us to waste hours every month just to have a payment pushed through. Alternatively, and at least, why doesn't it just keep attempting to charge the card until it gets through? No, instead it suspends your account. Grrrrr....

    To all cellular subscribers, first off, I wish to say I am a proud VZW user. Second, I want to say I am a customer service rep for a competitor carrier. Personally, a few of my coworkers and I believe there really isn't any competition. Thirdly, I want to remind everyone... When you get your bills and you don't understand them, or your service isn't working correctly, try to have your duckies in a row BEFORE you call customer service. We do not work for the company in question, we are a 3rd party outfit that is hired by the big guys (T-Mo, ATT, Sprint, Verizon....) to handle the calls coming in. We are trained, but remember, we are in a call center, some may be overseas, some may be in the US, but our paychecks do not come from the big guys, but our real bosses. Yes, you are customers, just like I am, but before you call us, put yourself in our place. Seriously, if you had to talk to a person over the phone who is yelling and calling you names, would you want to help them?
    So, my request to you is follow the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have others do unto you. Trust me, staying calm in the face of any hardship will go farther than flying off the handle.

    Yes, my coworker's sister works for the same company we work for  and she handles VZW calls. Also, just the other day, I helped someone cancel her contract with the competitor's company because she was just hired on as a rep with the same company we work for but in a different state. BTW, that new VZW customer/CSR says that the service for Verizon is WAY BETTER than with her old company

  • Incredibly poor customer service, charged for unusable device

    I am writing to publically complain about Verizons absolute lack of interest in providing customer service and for not honoring their part of our contract.  I purchased a verizon jetpack over a year ago with absolute assurance that it would work in the rural area in which I live.  It didn't work, it has never worked, there is no usage on the line and Verizon will not refund my money and will  not cancel the contract.  I am posting here, but will be posting this week on twitter, facebook, and better business bureau.  I have tried to resolve the issue multiple times both in store and through phone customer service.  Nothing but frustration.
    Here is your best clue ever:  avoid Verizon stores like the plague and go to your local Best Buy.  Not only do they provide customer service, but they don't even charge restock fees if a piece of equipment doesn't work out.  I have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on equipment I can't use, could never use.
    I am being cheated and this company couldn't care less even though I've been a customer for over ten years.

    We absolutely do care about all our customers and definitely want them to have the best service. I apologize that the Jetpack did not work in your area. You have 14 days from the date purchased to return the device and cancel the service. Once pass that time you are billed a cancellation fee if service is cancelled.
    Did you reach out to us within the 14 days to cancel the service or advise that the device was not working properly? Was the device purchased at a VZW store or an authorized dealer?

  • Deactivated account weird customer service

    Hi I deactivated an account and two strange things happened.
    - The person sent me two links to save incase I need to chat again and was really incouraging me to click it
    - They said I was a good person when I said it was strange that the chat help opens up in a different website not skype.
    I was worried I was scammed or hacked. My Skype account is deleted now and I thought that took a couple of weeks.

    Definitely contact Skype Customer Service again to determine the status of the account which you planned to remove and/or deactivate.  Here is a link to the instruction on how to contact Skype Customer Service via their secure portal: Contact Customer Service
    If you experience difficulty reaching Skype Customer Service, try again using a different web browser and choosing a different path through the various drop-down menu options presented. Also, look to approve a pop-up dialogue box which would connect you to start an instant message chat with a customer service agent. If you have pop-ups blocked in your browser settings, this will also impede reaching an agent.

  • NO CUSTOMER SERVICE OPTIONS FOR THE DEAF!

    I have been trying to get information on the Visa gift card I was sent. I placed an order online with Staples. AFTER the order was placed, I received an email saying they apologize, but the tablet is not in stock. The CSR at Staples claimed that my Visa card was not charged. However, when I took a look, the money had, in fact, been removed from the account. I was told to call the number on the back of the card, which is what I did or TRIED TO DO. The relay operator dialed, listened all the way through, then came back and said THERE IS NO OPTION FOR A LIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE. None. Also, when you enter the requested information like the tracking number, etc. you get your current balance, then you are cut off.
    This is the type of thing that I abhore about Verizon. I want to know why they still have that charge listed on the card! Why is it necessary for it to remain there forever? As long as it is listed, I CANNOT MAKE ANOTHER PURCHASE. The tablet I ordered was $330.00, which took up almost the entire balance of the $400 Visa card. How in the heck is a hearing impaired person supposed to get any help if you do not provide the necessary services? It's as if you seem to think WE DO NOT EXIST! Why tie up those funds for days and days so that nothing else can be ordered?
     I pay my bill on time EVERY MONTH! If I said to you it would take 3-5 days for me to make the payment past the due day, would you wait before cutting off my service? I don't think so. So why would you tie up the funds on my card, because you can't keep the accounts up to date? How much longer do I have to wait?????

    1. This is a peer-to-peer support forum. If you want to get a message to Verizon, you should contact them directly via one of the options on their Contact Us page.
    2. I would assume the number on the card goes to a VISA support line, not Verizon. Verizon doesn't own the card, they just give them out.
    If a forum member gives an answer you like, give them the Kudos they deserve. If a member gives you the answer to your question, mark the answer as Accepted Solution so others can see the solution to the problem.

  • Waiting for Customer Service Answer for 3-4 months

     We have been a loyal customer of Comcast for over 10 years, and we are very disappointed with your level of customer service over the last 3-4 months. On around April 16th I contacted Comcast to move my account to a new address. When I first called the agent told me that the move would not be possible and I would have to call back the next day to see if they had a different answer. So, I called back and now they were able to offer service at the new address. I thought this would be a straight forward transfer but it was not.  The technician was booked for April 19 in the evening which was fine. We had decided to down grade our service to just the internet and the agent (Andrio) offered us a great deal which we agreed too – this was Performance Internet at $44.99 per month (we have yet to receive a bill with the correct amount, we agreed to this amount). The technician arrived on time, but he didn’t seem to have any knowledge of what he needed to do.  Firstly the technician cut through the AT&T line to the house and left it hanging in our garden, explaining that he doesn’t carry that wire so he couldn’t repair it but someone would arrange that to be done and I would receive a phone call about it (he thought he’d cut through the Comcast line). We didn’t receive a phone call, I called Comcast a number of times until another 2 technician’s came to my property – they looked at the wire, told me they couldn’t repair it and someone else would be in touch. No one has been in touch – I am still waiting for it to be repaired, I do not have an account with AT&T and this is Comcast’s error to fix. My husband then spent the next 3-4 hours showing the technician how to test the lines to get the internet and TV working. Eventually the internet worked. I could go on about the number of times I’ve called Comcast about my bill and the AT&T line, being given a number of escalation tickets which I have never heard anything from. I would like to have my issues resolved as soon as possible. Please advice as soon as possible what Comcast will do about the following: Address the issue with my bill – the monthly charge agreed was $44.99 (we have a budget and currently we cannot afford what you are charging us)Address the reconnection of our AT&T line to our property, Comcast needs to organize this as we do not have an account (we will not arrange this and then be reimbursed we simply do not have the money to do so) Having been a Comcast customer for over 10 years with no issues before we moved properties, I am very upset with the level of customer service we have received. To resolve the problem, I would appreciate your immediate action, we would like our account to be credited for the over payment on the monthly charge and our AT&T line fixed. I look forward to your reply and a resolution to my problem and will wait until July 6, 2015 before seeking help from a consumer protection agency or the Better Business Bureau.   • NEED AGENT activate data feature like customer service has for months due to error

    for the last 4 months customer service thru email has had to activate data after my plan renews i just found out the email option is gone. So i need an agent to do it below is what the agent said thru his email in june when they ask for me to reply via email. btw the error has been happening since April where my blackberry data turns off on verizons end and i can't get email or send or use browser or send and receive picture messages once my plan renews

    I did a diagnostic check and this part came up. I think the BIS
    service is not connecting but i think it's on verizon's side. Each
    time the customer service agent turned on data on verizon's side it
    fixed the problem.
    I saw online many blackberry's have the issue like the agent told me.
    so i need for this to be fixed because i am paying for data.

    I placed my order a week ago and never received a confirmation email. The order also did not show up under my account. I waited a couple of days and then placed the order again. I sent customer service and email saying that I did not want duplicate books purchased. I emailed both customer service and cancellations/refunds for the next 5 days and never received a response. Now the orders are showing up and both are marked as shipped.

  • Lack of customer service etiquette for faulty product

    I acquired an Apple MacBook Pro i15 inchi n early 2012 and it performed beautifully until Apple released their latest OS named Mavericks. Upon being advised of Mavericks userbility,I decided to upgrade my OS via Apple's Itunes Store. Suddenly,my machine would not boot up and cuts off during operation. I immediately went to the Apple store,located in NYC Fifth Avenue, only to be informed there would be a surcharge of $310 to repair an hardware issue caused by Apple's software upgrade. Subsequently,an Apple employee followed up with a price compromise of half the original amout stated. My response to Apple is my back up PC which is eight years old has been repaired complimentary free of cost by Sony in the past two (2) years for a faulty battery.
    Mark my words Apple,I currently own a $2,000 Apple paperweight and I will never acquire,advise or initiate a friend,foe,associate or colleague to purchase any of your products.
    Good luck trying to compete against Amazon's Kindle,Dell's Alienware and last but not least your outsourcing competitor,namely Samsung.(Hint:Their customer service retains their customers) The art of good business is bringing people together.
