Skype Sign In Issue with Nokia E5

Hi Friends,
I am facing skype log in problem in my mobile Nokia E5 where as via PC i can logged in successfully. Through mobile whenever i try to log in skype it shows skype sining and later on after few seconds it stop working. Plz suggest how can i resolve this issue with my Nokia E5 ?

Hi kishor12345,
To further verify, are you using the internet browser when trying to access the Skype? If so, have you tried browsing the other website wherein you need to sign in your account first before you can proceed? In case that you are using mobile data, please use Wi-Fi connection instead. You may also restart your phone by switching the phone off, take the battery out, put it back in after a few seconds and switch your phone on.
Let us know how it will go.

  • Special characters issue with Nokia Maps on N95

    Hi there,
when using Navigation in conjunction with Nokia Maps on my N95, all streets and towns which contain any special character in their name (for example: é, è, ü, ä, ö, etc…) do appear as unreadable garbage on the screen of the N95.
I only noticed the problem after having purchased the 3 years license Navigation upgrade (EUR 99.99) and immediately notified Nokia. That was back in October. Since then I have called them at least 10 times and ultimately I have asked for a refund as no solution is still available.
In all these calls with Nokia, the only reasonable argument I heard was that maybe (!!!) the new software update version 20.0.015 released back at the end of November could solve the issue. Unfortunately, for my phone (which is a branded one) the update is not yet available.
Today, after calling them again, I was told that Nokia’s policies do not foresee refunds and therefore my request has been rejected. I was told to bring my phone to a Nokia Store and see if they can help me (I don’t see how). I was also told that maybe I would have to send-in the phone for repair.
This is soooo frustrating that despite the 3 months of patience and all the money spent for the N95 (not quite cheap), the navigation upgrade and the phone calls to Nokia, I still have the same issue. I will probably end up filing a complaint with a monthly consumer’s magazine in the hope they will publish my story.
After all, it may not even be Nokia’s fault but rather the guys who are responsible for the maps, but if Nokia accepts to have a commercial venture with a vendor, than they also accept liability for the joint product. And by turning down my legitimate request for refund, they have proven not to give a **bleep** about people like you and me.
Forgive me for the long post - needed to release some of the frustration...

I have been using an N95-8GB since Nov.'07. From my experience with this phone that has a built-in mass memory besides the phone memory. I had trouble retrieving some of the softwares I have installed. For eg. I have saved some themes in the mass memory & I could not find it when I want to delete it. There are some 3rd parties games software inside where I cannot even delete
This is what I don't like about the phone. I have bought an N82/Black recently as it uses an external memory card.
Coming back to Nokia maps. Personnaly, I don't think they are that good & I have problem downloading it into my phone from my PC after having downloaded it from Nokia.
By the way the Nokia map is not even the latest map 2.0. Is still a 1.0
I used Navfone map software & it works OK in the 8GB. You have to purchase it.
    I have used a couple of N-series phones in the past ie. N-90, N-70, N-71, N-73, N-80/Black, N95, N-95/8GB & now N-82.
Common with all N-series phones. After you have disconnected when you are done with your call you have to wait for a while before the word "disconnected" disappears.
The more features it has, the more problem you are gonna to encounter.
Unless you want to download softwares into your phone & have a good camera thats where the N series phones come in.
For normal usage, a 40 series phone will suffice.

  • Sign in issue with email

i am still getting a issue wtih my email sign in i have click twice on the sign in box . i am using the new bt home page both on w8 and the desktop and it does it on both email accounts my primary acc/ and sub acc. my sub acc email address i use to sign into my microsoft account. i have run bt desktop help pc heath check and it come back with cache size/clear history/ auto detect settings. so i clicked on the box to clear them and still got a issue with email sign in.

I have a large number of apps that show me what happens when accessing  web-sites and when accessing BT yahoo I have had up to ---14--yes that's right--14 adverts blocked. Also in every case Yahoo is tracking you. These cause problems with the site. Since blocking them things have got better. I say this because I post on a popular US website which has multiple adverts including pop ups and video ads which badly effected the stability of that web-site-many complaints. Now its toned them down complaints have stopped. Try telling Yahoo to stop its ads and see where it gets you.

  • Issues with Nokia Music - Nokia 5800 XpressMusic

    Hi All,
I just bought my Nokia 5800XM today and I really am enjoying it. However, the issues I'm experiencing with Nokia Music are very frustrating...
    In short:
    1) I already updated all components, my Nokia itself and all the applications that came with it
    2) I already reinstalled Nokia Music after uninstalling it from Add/Remove Programs
    3) Main issue is as follows:
-> Downloading Nokia Music itself: No probs
-> Installing it using the Nokia Installer: No probs
-> Starting it up the first time: I do get a welcome screen where I have to fill in a few things (language, if I want to import music right away and such). No errors here.
-> However, when clicking "Next" in this screen, Nokia Music doesn't load at all. I get an error (MS Vista:Application is not responding and MS Vista is searching for a possible solution). A few seconds later MS Vista can't supply a solution, so the only option is to shut Nokia Music down without ever seeing the program.
This is very frustrating. Even more so, since I got 2 vouchers for a total of 125 music clips which I would really like to use besides my future purchases.
I would really appreciate it if someone knows the definite solution for this very irritating issue.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Freekiedee
Try to re-install the nokia music by following these instructions.
    1. Close the Nokia Music PC application
    2. Go to Add/Remove programs and uninstall Nokia Music
    3a. On XP, delete C:\Documents and Settings\<<Windows username>>\Local Settings\Application Data\Nokia\Nokia Data Store
3b. On Vista, delete C:\users\<<Windows username>>\appdata\local\nokia\Nokia Data Store
    4. Download and install Nokia Music from http://europe.nokia.com/get-support-and-software/download-software/nokia-music-old/download

  • Multiple issues with Nokia Lumia 920

I bought my NL920 about one month ago (Telstra). It had been working flawlessly up until a few days ago.
The first issue I noticed was the back, start and search buttons were no longer being illuminated, no matter what. I tried multiple soft resets to no success. I just left it, thinking nothing of the problem.
A day or so after I noticed the issue with the backlight, two more strange things began to occur:
Tilt doesn't work at all. The screen doesn't rotate when the phone is flipped, and it doesn't seem to recognise tilting whatsoever (noticed this when I attempted to play Doodle Jump).
And second issue is apps are crashing as soon as they are launched. This doesn't happen with every app on the phone, but it occurs while trying to use some of my most used apps (Facebook and Camera are the main ones). I can't launch the camera app at all, and the side button doesn't work either.
I tried a hard reset in an attempt to resolve these issues, but all three issues are not fixed at all.
I have no idea what to do now. I've never dropped the phone, it's always been look after well. I am 99.9% sure it isn't something physical.
These issues all seem to have came after updating some apps (Extras & Info was one of them I believe). Could that be the problem?
Swapping the phone for a new one would be a last resort.
Thanks in advance for any help!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I just reset it, didn't work unfortunately. Looks like I'm going to have to replace it.
Would I just have to take it to my Telstra shop and let them deal with it? Or can I send it to Nokia directly?
    Thank you.

  • Sign in issue with Lync Mobile client

    Hi guys,
I'm trying to deploy a reverse proxy for mobile and external users, but I am having issues with the mobile client for android. It keeps saying "an unknown error occurred". Please try again.
I've got the log zip file outputted by the client here if someone could have a look and point me in the right direction? I've set
up server farms for the webservices, meet, and dialin.
Desktop clients can log in without any issue btw.

  • Routing issue with Nokia Drive on Lumia 900

So I finally tried to use Nokia Drive on a real trip (in New Jersey, USA) and I've noticed that the software often seems stuck on returning you to the originally plotted route when you deviate from it, instead of finding the best remaining route based on the new location. I'll give details for my particular trip in case this is a local issue.
We decided to take the NJ Turnpike to route 18 to River Road to Interstate 287 instead of 295 to 206 to 287 as Nokia Drive recommended (the routes are roughly equivalent in travel time, so I don't fault this initial route selection). When we entered the Turnpike, the new route kept trying to get us to 295 until we passed Exit 7 (In reality, past Exit 5 there isa considerable penalty to getting off the turnpike and onto I 295).
Finally, after Exit 7 it decided we should stay on the turnpike and get to 287 directly using Exit 10 (This too is roughly equivalent in travel time, so it was a reasonable suggestion). Once we took Exit 9 to route 18 instead it picked a different route than the one we are familiar with and this is where the biggest problem occurred. The route it suggested would enter 287 North at Exit 7, while the route we took entered 287 at Exit 9. It kept insisting we get back on its rout and get on at exit 7 to the point that when we were about to enter 287 at exit 9, it told us to get onto 287 *south* and take it to exit 7 where we would exit the highway and immediately re-enter it northbound. This is rediculous and should never have been suggested.
Am I right in my assessment that the software tries to stick to the original route instead of calculating a new one on the spot? What possible advantage can there be in doing it this way?
    Thanks in advance,
    Boris

Here is a quite stupid example on route recalculation and how it tries to return to the route originally suggested. The recalculated route suggests that I turn right, drive a few meters and then make a U-turn. The error is not in map data itself. The other picture shows that turning left is not forbidden.

  • Intermittent Sign on issues with Discoverer 11g

Since migrating to Discoverer 11g, we have received a number of issues where Discoverer users can't connect to Discoverer and receive a invalid username/password, logon denied.
Everything is correct with the account and they are able to log in if they use another Browser. If they are using IE I have them switch to Firefox and if they are using Firefox I have them switch to IE or the other work-around is if I have them use the browser that is having the issue they go in to Private mode it will allow them to sign in.
This problem does not appear to be Browser specific or a Java version issue but it does seem to have something to do with the fact that most of the users having this issue saved their passwords in their browser when using the previous 10g version. Even at that I have had them clear out all of their cache including saved passwords and it has not fixed the issue.
    Has anybody encountered anything similar?
    Versions:
    Oracle BI Discoverer 11g (11.1.1.3.0)
Oracle Business Intelligence Discoverer Plus 11g (11.1.1.3.0)

    Hi,
Did you try to simply clear the cache ? and the saved password ?
also i think you should clean the java cache

  • Blackberry ID sign in issue with connection (os 2.0 beta)

    Hi all,
After updating my playbook to latest version of OS2.0 beta, I cannot sign in with my ID niether in Settings niether in AppWorld.
It constantly reports connection error even I am successfully connected to wireless network. This is second day of being unable to sign in.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks

I have been able to resolve the issue - the version of Blackberry Bridge installed on my 9300 phone was apparently too old, but the "check for update" function kept telling me that it was up-to-date.
    What i had to do:
    Reload Appworld
Allow phone to go through a security update (reboot)
Download new version of bridge (another reboot)
    Pair devices -
I can now see full message content on emails that I could not before - hopefully this will prove to be a complete fix of the issue.

  • Issues with nokia configuration tool 5.0 - E72

I wanted to install a new profile and save the old one for a few people.
Since typing on the PC is much easier, I hoped I could use the configuration tool
After reading the data it lost contact and couldn't find my phone again.
A new try after running PC-Suite 7.1 first:
it finds my phone (with latest firmware) but cannot import / read any data
    Any ideas?
By the way: the change language options doesn't work (only English has been installed)

    Hi,
I am experiencing similar issue: from PC Suite v 7.1.40.6 I can see the Nokia E72-1 mobile phone, from the Nokia Configuration Tool v 5 I can also see the Nokia E72-1 but from the Configuration Tool I cannot Edit Online the mobile phone and I cannot push a configuration either. This is weird !
Also, wether the phone is connected through USB or Bluettooht, I get the same results.
Anyone has an idea why this happens and how to solve the situation ?
    Regards,

  • "Application failed code sign verification" - Issue with loading Content ViewerApp to iTunes Connect

    Hi There
I have built content via InDesign CS5.5, created folio using Foliio Builder and downloaded and built and iPad app via the Viewer Builder.  All the Certificate and provisioning info has been entered correctly and the Viewer Builder does not report any errors. The VB then creates the two version (Development & Distribution) of apps.
The app works fine on the iPad when testing the Developer Viewer (ipa). However, when I try to submit the Distribution app (distribution-viewer.zip) to the iTunes Connect store, I am encountering the following error:
Application failed codesign verification. The signature was invalid, or it was not signed with an Apple submission certificate.
Any ideas guys on why i'm encountering this issue. I've been battling this for 2 whole days.  Responses would be greatly appreciated as I am now a day behind the clock
Note: I have created the app definition in the iTunes Connect for this app.
    regards
    David

    Thanks Ali
I am certain I had selected the distribution certs as I have them named very explictly. I have rebuilt the app....numerous times ensure the right cert.
Anyways, I solved the issue by revoking my certs / MP and creating / exporting them and then building the app. When submitted now, it went thru.
Given this was the first app, I had the luxury of revoking my certs / mp. What would happen if this was not the first...

  • Wireless Network Policy Single Sign On Issue with Windows 8.1 only

I'll try to set this up as best I can. I have a laptop with a fresh Windows 8.1 install on it. It is on my domain, and I have a single GPO applied to it. In the GPO under Computer Configuration -> Windows Settings -> Security Settings ->
Wireless Network Policies I have created a Windows Vista or later policy. In the policy I have configured single sign on.  I log into a local account on the laptop and plug it into a wired connection. I then run gpupdate on it. At that point I unplug
the network cable, and log off. Now, from the login screen I click Other user, and it looks like the screenshot below.
Notice that "Windows will try to connect to" is present. I can login using domain credentials, and single sign on works perfectly. Now if I reboot the machine, the "Windows will try to connect to" is gone and single sign
on does not work. If I log in with a local account and log out. The "Windows will try to connect to" is present again. I can login normally using domain credentials, and single sign on works perfectly again.
One other note: I installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 on the same model laptop, and put it in the same OU with that single GPO. Single sign on works perfectly with the Windows 7 machine every time. Including after reboots. Thank you, in advance,
for any advice or comments. I will be happy to provide additional information if it is needed.

I managed to get this to work properly in my environment. I realized that I needed to export the wireless profile from the Group Policy editor and import it on the client (by using Group Policy). I realized this while reading through this article:
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/magazine/2007.11.cableguy.aspx
You can see the "Export..." button in the screenshot posted by keyserag above. Select the profile name, in the Group Policy editor Properties dialog, i.e. the item that keyserag has blurred in his screenshot, then click the "Export..."
button. You will be prompted to save the XML file.
I use Computer Configuration > Preferences > Windows Settings > Files to copy the XML file to the clients:
    Destination: %WindowsDir%\WirelessProfileExportFileName.XML
I then use Computer Configuration > Preferences > Control Panel Settings > Scheduled Tasks to run netsh and import the profile:
Action: netsh wlan add profile filename="%WindowsDir%\WirelessProfileExportFileName.XML"
The PCs using my policies are now ready to logon without any need for additional manual actions.
I've left out some detail here, I assume everyone will do something a little different anyway. Let me know if you need more help with this.
