SLA/TAT calculation of a task.

Hi all,
We can include Human interaction in a BPEL process by adding a "Human Task" activity. In "Task Escalation and Expiration" policy of the task, we can define the expiration time and to whom we want to escalate this task once the task is expired. But all time calculation is done internally based on the date/time of the machine the server is running. These calculations deos not exclude weekends and public holidays. For example - If task is created on 19th Mar and expiration period is 2 days then task will be expired on 21th Mar.
Is there any way/feature comes out the box to define a customized calendar to exclude weekends, public holidays in these calculations?
Thanks
Alankar Gupta

Hello
Did this in my current project the answer is
1. Define a custom xpath function -> Oracle doco http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15523_01/integration.1111/e10224/bp_appx_functs.htm#BEIIAHJH
2. Call it from the human task on the deadlines tab.

  • SLA Date Calculation

    Hi,
I am working on report Tickets with SLA's  with MySQL database
I need to calculate SLA Date based on the ticket priority using ticket open date time.
           Ticket to close in
    P1   2hrs
    P2   6hrs
    P3   24hrs
    P4   48 hrs
These hours are with in support hours from 8AM - 6PM, Mon - Fri
the formula which i am trying is a mess
Is any one know simplest formula for this?
    Thanks,
    Jyothi

I would think that this is something you'd actually want to store on the data record, not have to calculate on the fly every single time you want to know something's SLA.
Is the SLA not displayed to the rep who is handling the ticket?

  • SLA for service request\service order  without create a service contract

    Hello Experts,
    We are using CRM 7
Is there a possibility to determine SLA for service request\service order  without create a service contract?
    We have defined:
    1. Trasaction Code: CRMD_SERV_SLA-  Response Profile / Response Times
    2. In Customizing we have defined our date profile with the relevant duration
    3. In  Customizing for transaction types  we defined  SLA Prof. Det. Proc= IT000001
    4. we assign the Service Profile and Response Profile to BP (from "service levels" block) .
Everthing seems ok but the SLA time is not determined automatically.
Hope you can help me out.
    Thanks,
    Tal

    Hi Tal Tal
Your steps are correct and i hope you did these too
    a) In the SLA determination procedure ,you have defined the access sequence for service product item or org
    b) If service product item ,take any service product for ex INVESTIGATION assign the two Service and response profile in the service tab
    c) if org the above two profiles can be assigned to org attributes.
    d) In my opinion the date profile you should have assigned it to item category as I think the SLA date calculation is done at the item level
    e) You should assign the SLA det prof to the transaction type in the service process business category - customizing header.
    f) when you create a transaction type sla dates will be determined as follows
        a) you have to enter service product entered in the item ,then dates will be visible, and also if your access sequence is based on service product, the respons profile and service profile will be determined.
        b) if you have given indicators as all these three "category, priority, codes' in your response profile, then you have to enter all three and then hit enter
       c) After hitting enter, the response profile determined above, will use the above 3 inputs of category, priority etc and determine the duration times ,which should be maintained in your date profile.hence the durations determined will be used in the dates calculation.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

  • Looking for a specific Iphone alarm clock app

    Hello,
I have been looking on the apple store for an app that I came across a while a go. It's an alarm clock app with a calculator for morning tasks, so it will ask the user how many tasks and how long each task is going to need, and then it will calculate the total time the user need in the morning. It also has an alarm clock to wake you up according to the time calculator. If you have 5 tasks:
    brush up ---------------------------10 min
    prepare breakfast----------------10 min
    eat breakfast-----------------------5 min
    read news---------------------------5 min
    driving to school--------------------40 min
the total time is 1 hr 10 min. Then you enter the time school starts, 8am for example. The alarm clock will wake the user up at 6:50am in the morning on that day.
Does anyone have this app and would like to share the name of the app with me? I have been desperately looking for it and regreted not saving it to my wishlist on the first time.
Many thanks to the apple community!!!

1password is FREE for a limited time, and it allows you to store login info and notes(you can use as journal) and then lock the application with a passcode. And lockbox does about the same thing, it's free too.

  • What are the benefits of 64-bit computing?

What are the benefits of 64-bit computing?
From what I understand, the only benefits are the ability of the OS to address memory ranges beyond 2GB. Or is it 4GB? I can't remember.
Anyway, I have no intention of expanding my Intel MacBook's memory beyond its built-in 2GB RAM.

I think that the ram advantages of 64 bit computers is just a minor issue with most existing Mac computers. The average user today has between 2 to 8 GB's of ram. This amount of ram is easily handled by existing OS's like Leopard.
I believe that the actual benefits for most users will be when the code of their applications is re-written to run in 64 bit code.
From Apples Page on New Technologies: "It can also enable computers to crunch twice the data per clock cycle, which can dramatically speed up numeric calculations and other tasks." And on the same page: "64-bit applications can use more advanced security techniques to fend off malicious code".
    http://www.apple.com/macosx/technology/
The 'twice the data per clock cycle' will affect all users regardless of how much ram they have or plan to buy for their machines. More data per cycle means more speed. Better security built into the OS is always a plus.
This is why a MBP with a 3GB limit will still want to run a 64 bit application, and my new iMac with an 8GB limit will still benefit from Snow Leopard.
I view all this extra memory abilities as something very far off for Mac users today. Ram prices will have to go down even lower, new machines will have to be bought with new ram management chips, etc.
Meanwhile, most of Apple's applications are currently running in 64 bit even if the Kernal is running at 32 bit, and other companies (like Adobe) should be coming out with 64 bit versions of their applications. Most experts agree that since the Kernal runs very low-level functions, it won't benefit from 64-bit operation near as much as user applications.
The big delays here, are for hardware drivers to work in 64 bit, and also for helper applications like Flash. Apple knew this going into the SL project. It's going to take a year or so until almost all of our programs are upgraded. Meanwhile, both 32 bit and 64 bit programs will run on Snow Leopard.

  • Projects, is the Standard Functionality the one with COGS created?

Korean Air manufactures AIRCRAFT components and delivers them to customers such as Boeing. It wants to implement ERP (R12) applying Oracle Projects Solution.
    Issue
    1. When Shipping Type Deliverable is created in Project Module and it is interface to Shipping Execution for Ship Confirm, COGS(Cost of Goods Sold ) for Shipping Item is created and it overlaps with cost of sales per Project/Task.
    Question
*1. **When Shipping was done using deliverable of Shipping Type in Project Module, is the Standard Functionality the one with COGS created?*
    A. If the number 1 case is Standard Functionality, is there any option to prevent COGS creation?
    B. If the answer is no, by what kind of setup is it possible?
    C. Does Shipping of Project Module based on “non-asset based warehouse”?
*2. What is the Integration mapping of Project Management, Shipping Execution, Inventory, AR, COGS etc?*
    The following are basic process.
    1. Quotation-> Contract -> Plan -> Production -> Delivery -> Revenue
    A. Using Deliverable in Projects
    2. Project: Agreement
    3. Task: Unit
    4. Purchasing Plan, Production Plan etc. executed based on Project/Task
    5. Cost calculation is calculated in Project/Task unit
    6. When Task (Tail Number) is completed, deliver to Boeing according to contract
    B. Interface through Shipping Execution
    C. Ship Confirm
    7. Based on cost revenue is recognized according to progression rate.
    A. Cost Collect
    B. Generate Draft Revenue
    8. Based on delivery or contract, account receivable is created and send to customer.
    A. Create Event per Task
    B. Generate Draft Revenue
    C. Interface Draft Revenue to Receivables.

    Hello Daniel,
The PCI serial cards are not supported with LabVIEW RT for ETS targets and are not expected to work. We are looking into finding a way to add support for PCI serial devices in RT, but currently that support does not exist.
One possible workaround would be to use a NI ENET-485-X device. The visa resource name will not be COMx in this case. Instead, you will need to enter the long name of ASRL::::::INSTR as documented in the NI-VISA help.
I hope this helps. If you need to speak with your sales representative to resolve this issue, please follow this link. Have a great day.

  • How to post automatically earnings prior first consolidation

    Hi Gurús:
I´m starting a new consolidation in SEM-BCS. At the first consolidation (year 2007, period 12), one "consolidation unit" has earnings prior to this date. I would like to know if it´s possible in SEM to create an automatic task in order to distinghish between earnings prior and after first consolidation (because the calculation of the task Consolidation of Investment (CoI) will be different with 2 different data, earnings prior and earnings after first consolidation).
If its not possible to create an automatic task, can somebody help me about the manual posting in order to correct this data?.
Note: I´ve customized the item 80 as "earnings prior to first consolidation" and item 8 as "earnings after first consolidation".
    Thank you in advance.
    Juan Perez Cribeiro.

    Hi Eugene:
At first time, thank you for your suggestion, but I have already made what you say. I know the customizing, but my "main" question is "how to move" this item (in my case, item 80).
Theoretically, if a subsidiary enters in the consolidation perimeter, for example, in June 2008 (and it´s correctly notified the system), and this subsidiary has "earnings prior the first consolidation" (for example, from January to May 2008), __how (and when) the system moves item 80__?
Thank you again for your help.
    Yours sincerelly,
    Juan Pérez Cribeiro.

  • How to programatically set  HT expiration based on BPM process?

    Hi All,
I'm developing a BPM process with human tasks. Is there a way by which I can set the task to expire 35 days after the date the instance of the BPM process was spawned? I see within the task an option to set Expiration after a fixed number of days, but my scenario requires that I compare the current date with the date on which the instance of the BPM process was created and set to expire accordingly.
Is this achievable? If not directly are there any suggested programmatic approaches to achieve this?
    JDev : 11.1.1.4
    Thank you.
    PP.

Don't know if you know how to get the number of days, hours, minutes that you want to wait and then put that into a either a string or integer variable (no decimals). If you know how to do this, then the code below should help. These examples assume you want to wait a certain number of days and this number is passed in using the variable "sla".
    Setting the human task's deadline
The human task deadline timer can be set programmatically from a process variable using an XPath expression. In the human task's "Deadline" tab select "By Expression" from the dropdown. In the example below, the XPath expression would this if you had an string or integer variable called "Sla" and you wanted to set the number of days based on this variable:
    concat("P0Y0M",/task:task/task:payload/task:Sla,"DT0H0M0.0S")
    Setting the Interactive activity's deadline
You'll also want to set a boundary timer event on the Interactive activity set to the same duration. The syntax for this logic is different than the human tasks deadline. In the timer event, if you use the radio button "Time Date", the XPath expression to set the number of days based on a variable would be:
xp20:add-dayTimeDuration-to-dateTime(xp20:current-dateTime(),concat('P0Y0M'  ,bpmn:getActivityInstanceAttribute('SUBPROCESS3082641628371', 'inputDataItem')/ns:sLA,'DT0H0M0.0S'))If you instead select the timer event's "Time Cycle" radio button, the logic would be:
    concat('P0Y0M',bpmn:getActivityInstanceAttribute('SUBPROCESS3082641628371', 'inputDataItem')/ns:sLA,'DT0HM0.0S')Dan

  • CS4 : Accessing points on a Curve from keyboard

No problem in earlier versions (Control-Tab, or Control Shift Tab), unable to do so in CS4 on my MacIntel running 10.5.5. Trying to get acquainted with this version installed on an external drive on which my system is cloned.
And while I'm at it, there used to be a checkbox in PS CS3 preferences to launch Bridge, is it anywhere to be found?

  • Disable "Finish Date" recalculation

In project server, we enable single entry mode and auto-approval for timesheet,
    suppose I have a task
=> Start on Oct 1, and Finish on Oct 10, Fixed Duration
If the resource starts submitting actual hours on Oct 6, the Finish Date will move to Oct 15.
    My question is:
Can we disable the re-calculation of the task? For example, even the actual starts from Oct 6, the finish date not changed.
By the way, does the constraints (e.g. Must finish on ) can make this happen?
    Thanks.
    Kevin Li

    Hi Kevin,
First of all setting a constraint on the finish date will not change the behavior.
Then I do believe you might rethink your process. If the resource starts the task 5 days later, assuming that the work is kept, the task will more than liktely finish later. MS Project has to do some asusmptions based on the inputs from the project manager.
Then if the project manager has approved the task update, it is normal that the finish date has shifted. After approving the task update with the 5 days delay, the project manager is supposed to open his project plan and review the remaning work. He might
decide to assign extra resource on the given task in order to decrease the duration.
    Hope this helps,
