SLED Check @ material level

Hi All,
We are procuring materials without batch mgmt.
For some materials SLED check is to be done for a particular plant and 101 movement .
I have seen its in (plant+movement) level but I want at material level SLED check.
How to configure?
Thanks in advance
Shuva

Hi,
As you are procuring material and want to control Without Batch Management, follow the process:
In material master(MM02) , maintain total shelf life and minimum remaining shelf life of the material in general/plant data .During MIGO, you need to enter Production Date which in turn system calculate and would not allow to post the GR document, if the material life less then minimum remaining shelf life period.
For example:
Create Material MM01 (OR do enter in MM02 for any material).....In Gen Plant data/storage- 1 view, Maintain required values in the Field of--- >Total Self Life ( letu2019s say 180days) and in Min. Remaining shelf life ( is 100days)
Go for GR(MIGO) for material, the system will ask for Date of Production of that material which you need to enter and from that the system automatically calculates it SLED. You have two options with cause:
Option-1:--- > If you are receiving today ie..21.12.2011 and production date is 10.11.2011{ falls within 100days }, then system will post GR without any message.
Option-2:--- > If are receiving today ie..21.12.2011 and production date of material is 21.08.2011{ not falls within 100days }, then system will not post GR and you will have ERROR message.

  • Batch at material level

    Hi all,
    I want to use batch at material level.
    i.e. for every material number batch should start from the same series.
    e.g. If I want to use batch for 5 materials say A,B,C,D,E.
    And I have given batch number range as 0000000001 to 9999999999, then when I do GR for A, then first batch shud be
    0000000001, after this if I receive mat B, its batch should also b 0000000001. Then again if I receive mat A, then next batch shud b 0000000002, again next if I receive mat C, then its first batch shud b 0000000001.
    Will it b possible if I activate batch at material level or need some other configurations also?
    Regards....

    Unfortunately SAP does not fulfill your requirement via a configuration. But there is the option of a user exit that gives you enough flexibility.
    You can use SAP enhancement  SAPLV01Z for this purpose.
    o   EXIT_SAPLV01Z_001. You use this exit to replace the number range
        object and/or interval proposed by the system with your own number
        range object and/or interval.
        In addition, you can, for instance, stop the system from assigning
        an internal number depending on the material or plant. You can also
        use this exit to stop the dialog box from appearing.
    o   EXIT_SAPLV01Z_002. Using this exit, you can either change the number
        assigned by the system, or assign your own number.
    Check the documentation at this node in IMG for more information:
    Logistics - General > Batch Management > Batch Number Assignment > Configure Customer Exits for Intern. Batch Number Assignment
    Your requirement is a generic one and often used in the food industry.

  • Batch level settings conversion from plant-to-plant to material-level

    If someone has worked on conversion of Batch level settings within SAP from plant-to-plant to material-level batch management, please let me know what are the challenges involved in doing this. Thanks.

    Check help !!!
    To change the batch level, you have to start a conversion program. This program first checks whether conversion is possible and outputs an error log containing all batch numbers that occur more than once at the new level. Now you need to manually transfer these batch records to batch numbers within Inventory Management using a transfer posting 'material to material'.
    If you change the level from plant level to a higher level, it is possible that batches with the same batch numbers in different plants are actually identical.  In this case, all you have to do is remove stocks (including previous period stocks) so that all batches with the same batch numbers, except one, can be reorganized.
    When you convert from plant level to material level, the material is then to be handled in batches in all plants in which it is defined.
    Standard settings
    In the standard delivery batches are uniquely defined at material level.
    Activities
    To change the batch level, proceed as follows:
    1. Choose the level at which you want your batches to be unique.
    2. Save the new settings and choose Back.
    3. Choose Batch level -> Conversion.
    4. If necessary, carry out the conversion in test mode first.
    Further notes
    Note that you cannot reset conversion from plant level to a higher level in the standard.
    If you create a client by copying an existing client, initially, there are no settings in the target client at batch level. The system makes the settings in the target client only when you have carried out an activity (maintaining master data or posting a goods movement, for example). The client level is not transported. If you copy a client with client level, you have to manually set the client level in the target system.

  • Client level, plant level and material level batch

    Hi,
    Can any body tell me wat is the actual meaning of
    !) Client level batch,
    2) plant level batch,
    3) material level batch
    with exa. please.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Below is the extract from the IMG Documentstion..
    ====================================================================
    Batch numbers can be unique at the following levels:
    at plant level
    at material level
    at client level for a material
    If you choose plant level, the batch number is unique in conjunction with the respective material and the plant. If you choose material level, the batch number is unique together with the material. At client level, the batch number is unique in the whole client.

  • MIGO_GR SLED check for non-SLED managed materials

    I found out, quite accidentally that our ECC6 system setup permits the entry of data into the SLED field in MIGO_GR even if the material I am receiving has Min Shelf Life = 0.  Conversely, there is an error check in place if I try to post a GR and didn't enter SLED into the GR screen for material where Min Shelf Life >0.
    Is there a way via IMG configuration (or any other way) to set a check in system so that I can't enter SLED for material with Min Shelf Life =0?
    Thanks,
    Marc

    Thanks Satpal.  I will do that.  General question though, if I turn off this functionality it appears that there will be no SLED check at all, including a check for materials that are SLED controlled.  Is this an appropriate understanding on my part?  I'd like to have the system perform check when material has min shelf life >0, forcing a hard stop and require a SLED entry as well as perform check when material has min shelf life =0 and system not permit user to enter SLED.

  • Documentary Batches with Batch Management at Material Level

    Hi,
    We have configured batch managment at the material level, and turned on for our materials. This applies to all plants that a material is extended to. Problem is that some plants don't have capability to (or do not need to) trace individual batches. So a "Generic" batch number approach is usually used in those few plants - but this of course still requires that the "Generic" batch number be supplied in all transactions. Some of those plants have just a more limited requirement of batch traceability (e.g. just at receipt or despatch, but not anything else like physical inventory).
    The functions of Documentary Batches seem most appealing. However, according to documentation, and in our tests, it seems that the batch management setting will always suppress the documentary batch functions in a plant, even if we only want generic batches.
    Does anyone know how to allow documentary batches for certain plants to override the "Batch at Material level" setting? P.S. We are not able anymore to re-configure the batch to material-plant level.
    FYI - I have searched Forums, Wiki, Support portal, SAP Help and Release Documentation.
    Cheers,
    Jeff

  • Vendor evaluation at material level

    Hi friends,
    I have one requirement from client. A vendor supplies many materials. My client want to get report of vendor rating of the vendor for each material and material groupwise.
    Can this objective can be achieved?
    Please suggest.
    Regards

    Hi,
    When you run Vendor Evaluation (for all criteria), sysytem keeps log of all material level points the Vendor has achieved. You can view the same in transaction ME64.

  • Restrict Authorization at Material level during production confirmation

    Hi SAP Gurus,
    I would like to ask if its possible to restrict authorization at Material Level during production confirmation.
    Our scenario is we have SFG and FG which are handled by different group of people but it has the same Order Type. Now we want to restrict authorization such as one department can only confirm SFG and the other department can confirm FG only.
    Is it possible to set authorization at material type or production scheduler level. IF not possible, is there other way except creation of new Order Type?
    Thanks,
    Raymond

    Hi Raymond,
    DO you mean I should create a customized table for this?
    Yes
    Are there no standard way?
    As per my knowledge, you can control through production order type, so you need to create seprate order type for this
    Thanks,
    Sankaran

  • Report at material level from Quantity pending

    Hello experts,
    I have the following issue, we need a Reporting to show at material level (The report, has to see like /SAPTRX/EE_OVD_LIST, i mean a list), the quantity pending for Goods receipt, by example in the case of a procurement scenario, and the quantity (at material level) pending for Departure in the case of a delivery in a transportation scenario .
    I mena by example, the material 1234ABC has pending for GR 400 Units from P.O. 4500100 and GR 300 Units from P.O. 4500250.
    I analyzed the following transactions without obtaining the expected result:
    u2022     /SAPTRX/EH_LIST.
    u2022     /SAPTRX/EH_SET.
    u2022     /SAPTRX/EH_LIST_STAT.
    u2022     /SAPTRX/EH_LAST_EVT.
    u2022     /SAPTRX/EE_OVD_LIST.
    u2022     /SAPTRX/EE_MON.
    u2022     /SAPTRX/EVM_STATUS.
    u2022     /SAPTRX/ER_MS_LIST.
    u2022     /SAPTRX/LOCKED_PROC.
    u2022     /SAPTRX/LOCKED_PSET.
    u2022     /SAPTRX/EMJOBS.
    u2022     /SAPTRX/ASAPLOG.
    u2022     /SAPTRX/CONS_CHECK.
    Which transaction can be used to achieve this goal?
    Thanks and best regards,

    Hi Mahantesh ,
    Try this:
    Take two more KFs in the cube.
    1) Creation Date as KF
    Type: Date
    Exception aggregation : First value
    Aggregation reference : 0material.
    2) Issue Date as KF
    Type: Date
    Exception aggregation : Last value
    Aggregation reference : 0material.
    In the query take 0material in rows and above 2 KF in the columns (May be , here , you need restriction also. 'Creation Date as Characterstic' > 01.01.1000 ,Issue Date as characterstic' < 31.12.9999 )

  • Report at Material level(for all the plants)?

    Hi Experts,
    We have simple query which gives following output.
    &Plant&Material No&Creation Date&Issue date&QTY issued&
    P1      M1         01/10/2004    01/01/2005        10
    P2      M1         01/12/2004    15/12/2004        20
    P3      M1         01/01/2005    15/01/2005        30
    Actually I want to report at material level  ( for all plants in one shot ) , additionaly I want to show the minimum creation date for that material and minimum issue date  and sum of all 3 qty issued.
    The output should look like
    &Material No&Creation Date&Issue date&QTY issued
    M1           01/10/2004    15/12/2004       60
    Can any body suggest how do i get the date fields with the above condition
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi krmoss,
    Welcome to the HP Support forums.  I see that you would like to learn how to check the ink levels on your Officejet 4620 printer.
    The steps on how to check the estimated ink levels can be found in your User Guide on page 74 in the section titled “To check the estimated ink levels from the printer control panel”.   If you have installed the full feature software and driver for your printer onto your computer you can open up the HP Solution Center and check the from there as well.

  • Display the totals only at Material level in ALV

    Hi........,
    I am calculating the subtotals and totals. I am having the columns Company Code , Plant and Material etc.
    First I did sort on table as :
    gr_sorts = gr_table->get_sorts( ).
      gr_sorts->add_sort( columnname = 'C_CODE' subtotal = abap_true ).
      gr_sorts->add_sort( columnname = 'WERKS-WERKS' subtotal = abap_true ).
      gr_sorts->add_sort( columnname = 'MATNR' subtotal = abap_true ).
    After that I am doing the aggregation like this :
    gr_agg = gr_table->get_aggregations( ).
      gr_agg->add_aggregation( 'QUANTITY' ).
      gr_agg->add_aggregation( 'QUANTITY1' ).
      gr_agg->add_aggregation( 'DELTA' ).
    It is displaying the totals and subtotals at each Company code , Plant and Material level.
    But I want to display the totals only at Material level.
    Guide me on the same.
    Reply me as early as possible.
    Thanx,

    Replace your code for sorting
    gr_sorts = gr_table->get_sorts( ).
    gr_sorts->add_sort( columnname = 'C_CODE' subtotal = abap_true ).
    gr_sorts->add_sort( columnname = 'WERKS-WERKS' subtotal = abap_true ).
    gr_sorts->add_sort( columnname = 'MATNR' subtotal = abap_true ).
    with the code given below.
    gr_sorts = gr_table->get_sorts( ).
    gr_sorts->add_sort( columnname = 'C_CODE' subtotal = abap_false ).
    gr_sorts->add_sort( columnname = 'WERKS-WERKS' subtotal = abap_false ).
    gr_sorts->add_sort( columnname = 'MATNR' subtotal = abap_true ).
    Hope this helps. Reward points if helpful.
