Smashed my keyboard, the screen went weird, I think my computer is broken.

I accidentally smashed my keyboard with a lot of pressure and the screen went striped with a steady beeping sound. I closed the lid and unplugged the charger and that was when the beeping stopped.
I'm too afraid to open my computer again in fear that I might lose the data on my computer, so I'm not sure if it's broken or not.
What should I do?

I don't know how you accidentally smash a keyboard with a lot of pressure, but obviously that's the wrong thing to do with sensitive electronics. There's no way to know exactly what you broke. The motherboard is under there for one thing. As for your data, if it's a classic style MBP rather than a Retina, the hard drive is under the palm rest, so you may not have crunched the hard drive. You can take the drive out and try to read it on another machine by putting it in a USB enclosure.

I used to use Movie Maker and it would be able to handle lots of file uploads and big projects. I figure iMovie can do the same since it's newer and it's on my iMac. Try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If that doesn't work, try a Restore:
From iTunes, select the iPad and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad.
There's more that you can do. Post back if none of the above solves the problem.
By the way, I always allow "push." That allows the app developer to "push" information to your device rather than waiting for you to ask for it. However, "don't allow" shouldn't cause the problem that you're experiencing.

Connect the device to iTunes and restore from the most current backup.
If the issue continues, restore as new.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

It showed a number of apps to be updated on my iPad, so I clicked 'update all' as usual. It started, then the screen went white. The icons for the apps on the desktop went black, as they do, with the first one half way around the little circle timer, and two marked 'waiting', with others not that far into the process. From what I can gather you have a few apps that only display "Waiting". The following is a past discussion that dealt with a similar issue, the answer may help you as well:

Try tapping the App, so that it changes to Paused instead of Waiting, then tap it again to resume the install.
Make sure you don't have any paused downloads in other apps either, like the App Store or iTunes Store.
If that doesn't do it, try resetting or restoring the iPhone.
