I dont get any information about new messages. I`ve tried everything.
No sound, nothing?

If you have a lot of texts stored, delete them.
OTHERWISE;
Try Soft Reset;
Dial this code as normal phone number, *#7370# enter lock code, default is 12345
BACKUP DATA FIRST , it'll wipe c/phone number.

You can't add it to the phone yourself. Language packs are not available to end-users.
You have to take your phone into your nearest Nokia Care Point and ask them to install an Arabic language pack.

5800 express music certificated error

i can't install software to my 5800 express music.the problem is it pop up that certificated expired.....i don't know what happen....

try this back up all data 1st
With the phone switched on, press the power button key once.
Scroll down to and select "Remove E: Memory Card".
Select Yes to remove the memory card.
Press OK and remove memory card from phone.
Press the Dialler on the main screen.
Type *#7370#
Enter security code. Default is 12345 unless it has been changed.
The phone will reset, wait for this to complete and power back on.
Select your country and type in the correct time and date.
Wait for the phone to complete its configurations, you may receive "My Nokia" or tutorial messages.
Power off phone.
Insert the memory card.
Power on the phone.
Wait for the phone to install any pre-loaded content from the memory card
Phone is ready to install applications, without "Expired Certificate" error message

Not Enough Memory [Nokia 5800 Xpress Music]

Hello,
i have a nokia 5800 xpress music mobile phone.
recently, i've been facing an error while trying to change my ringtone from the profiles
when i tap on the screen on the ringing tone tab in general profile (or any other profile), an pop-up tells me the following "not enough memory to display all ringing tones, only read-only memory tones will be displayed"
then, when i tap again , the ringing tones menu open but for sure not listing all of my music files !!
i thought it's a firmware problem, i updated my 5800 to the latest v30 firmware, but the problem still persists.
please, feed me back

take out your memory card and consider the first two options. make sure you have a back up and read carefully
1. *#7780# - Restore factory settings - resets all the settings to the default ( you will not lose any data)
Make sure you back up your data as you will lose all of it when you perform option 2 or 3 on this list. The default code for ALL operations listed here is 12345
2. *#7370# - Reformat your phone (out of the box, tho keep in mind that most newer nokia phones at least n series, e series and s60 based phones have udp - user data preservation so not ALL data may be lost. still it is a good idea to always do a back up of your stuff.)
3. This you perform as a last resort. Nothing else is working.If the phone is not showing any activity, proceed with hard formatting , turn off your phone, hold the following buttons while pressing the power button. (the default code is 12345)
hard reset - hold the following buttons *, 3 (number button) and talk/green key. turn on the phone and do not release those buttons until you see the Nokia boot up screen. once you feel the phone power up you can let go off the power button while still holding all three buttons ( for Nokia 5800XM - use the following buttons to do a hard reset, GREEN/RED/CAMERA keys pressed all at once on power up. this will only work on 5800's that have firmware version 20... and up. ) For Nokia N97 (unofficial version but works) is SHIFT /SPACE BAR / BACKSPACE while holding the power button. Again do not let go until you see the handshake screen.
If these codes are not working the only thing for you to do is contact your Nokia Care Center/Service for assistance.

Are you able to play the songs from the File Manager in the handset? If yes, try Restore Factory Settings in the handset. Press Menu > Settings > Phone > Phone Management > Factory Settings. If you are not able to play the songs even from from the File Manager, then try Hard Resetting the handset. Power Off the handset. Hold the 2 calls (Red & Green) & the Camera key & proceed to power on the device, while holding the three keys (green, red and camera). Keep holding down the 3 keys until after the handshake screen.
Make sure you Back-Up the Phone Data before Hard Resetting the device.

Battery Issue of 5800 express music

Hi,
I bought a Nokia xpress 5800 touch phone in India last month. It had a very good battery back up... When I traveled to US, last week, I noticed that, to keep the phone on, I need to fully charge the phone once every 2 days. Why is it so? What happened to the phone suddenly?
Please help me.....
Even my wife is facing this issue with her 5300 xpress music.

Charging a 5800 every other day is normal. If you ever got longer life out of the battery then you were lucky!
Besides, you should not let a lithium battery go completely flat before recharging. You will damage it and reduce both its lafe and its capacity. You should charge every day, even if the battery is not yet flat, and only do a deep discharge every month or so.

M3u on 5800 express music

Dear friends,
On the computer I can listen an m3u file that contains a radio station (I use VLC). The text editor through the m3u says it contains this:

How could I listen this station on the 5800? I cann't play it with Nokia Internet Radio...

Although it arrives in message inbox you have to open the file, play it and save to music library; consequently for a number of files it is better transferring using Ovi Music Player or WMP which will automatically save the music files in music folder upon memory card and also avoid occupying message folder memory too.

I have 5800 when I check for updates it gives me the following message no upfate availible I also tried the nokia software updater it is no good what should I do?

Not all updates are available for all 5800s. North American models do not allow over the air updates, so you need to use the updater software on your PC. If no update found, there is none for your model. If outside North America and the PC software does not find an update, try over the air. North America is on v21 now.

I bough 5800 yesterday and i noticed that there is only 3 languages available English,Arabic and something else... Now i need english,german and russian...Is it possible to download language pack somewhere? Or if i change the product code (using software) will it void my warranty? Yes, changing the code will invalidate your warranty - and for that reason they don't let us talk about it here.
Phones are shipped with a set of languages relevant to the countries where they are intended for sale, Nokia does not provide a way for the end user to change this, but a Nokia service point may be able to add language packs to the phone at a cost.

Nokia 5800 express music monitor "screen" problem

hi all,
i've a nokia 5800 device and i've faced a very serious problem:
when i lock the phone and unlock it the monitor or screen dont appear as previous normally, instead of that shaked colored lines appear, so i can't see who is calling. But the touch is working normally so i can play music or answer calls but without knowing who is calling.
if i switch the phone off then switch it on i see the the screen normally, and when it locked then unlocked the same problem appears again.
i've tried to solve the problem by formatting the device but it is no use

i don't know what to do, please give me a hand......

I've been having a very similar problem with my nokia 5800 expressmusic.
it started off like yours but then the screen went fully black.
the green, white and red buttons at the bottom work so does the small touch button at the top right.. those lights always come on when i unlock the phone so they're fine.
I know that my phone is still working because i was randomly touching the screen when the phone was unlocked (even though i cannot see anything on it) and i ended up calling somebody. my only problem is that i cannot see the screen at all!!
i've tired turning my phone off, taking out sim and memory cards, putting different sims in and charging it.
nothing works!!
is there anything i can do?
can anybody help me with this?
or is my phone just past its 'use by' date?

Chinese Language for Nokia 5800 Express Music

I have recently updated my nokia software version from V21.0.025 to V31.0.101 using the nokia software updater. However i notice that my Chinese, Malay & Indonesia languages have all dissapeared.
Can anybody help me please.

Looks like you bought a phone that was meant for another region and the language pack containing Chinese was installed afterwards by the retailer. The retailer should have told you this. When you updated the firmware, the phone reverted back to its original language set. Worst of all, the warranty may not be valid in your country.
Anyway, language packs can only be installed by Nokia Care Points and you will lose it again the next time you update your firmware.

Update nokia 5800 Express music problem

Hi all!
I wanted to Update my nokia using NSU and all i get is this: "No software updates available for your phone
Please note that your mobile service provider, operator or carrier may not have approved the latest Nokia device firmware available."
And my firmware wersion is: 11.0.008

It means that you can't update your phone with NSU at the moment.
What country are you from and is the phone originally intended for that country/region?
Is your phone operator branded/customized? If so, who is the operator?
Often with operator branded phones, it takes longer for updates to become available because the operator has to approve it.
And, unfortunately, sometimes the operators do not authorize/approve any updates (it costs them money to do so, I presume).

GPS not working on Nokia 5630 express music

I am unable to use GPS on my Nokia 5630 xpressmusic. It gives me error "enable satellite based positioning method first". This option is not available in Nokia 5630. Kindly assist.

You really need to utilise a Bluetooth GPS receiver as network GPS is not accurate enough for usage with Ovi Maps.

Sorry, there is no software currently available for that product code via the Nokia Software Update tool.
it means that my phone doesn't exist for nokia?
