SMTP: Fax issue???

Hi All
We have just upgraded from 4.6C to ECC EHP4.
SOST screen appears with the grey diamonds against the fax transmissions, even though the faxes have successfully transmitted. We have checked all the settings in SCOT but not able to find  the solution. Domain setting is defined in the scot.
While sending the mail (internet mail), we are getting the green signal. So we are expecting the same for fax transmission.
Please guide us how to get the green status instead of the grey diamonds. All the messages are staying in the queue with the message 711. When i check the long text of this message it says
Message transferred by node to communication system
Message no. XS711
Diagnosis
The node has passed the message to its communication system.
System Response
Processing was ended normally.
Additional information on the node used (in the system language of the node):
Procedure
No action is necessary. The message will shortly reach the recipient.

Read,
Note 856367 - Interpreting the SAPconnect status code
Note 821447 - Fax has 'in transit' status for XS 702
Note 335310 - SAPconnect: No sending status/'in transit' status

  • HP Officejet 8600 fax issues

I have an 8600 printer with fax capability - however - when I've tried to fax, I get a message saying I need to 'load' the software from the CD. I would - if I could find the CD. Any way to resolve this issue via a download some other way? Please help!

  • Powerbook G4 fax issue

question: how to troubleshoot powerbook G4 fax issue, recently upgraded to 10.4.6 from 10.3.x and can no longer fax a document using internl modem. After selecting doco/comand print (as part of faxing procedure) generates a "preparing" window, as well as a error printing window.

I don't have a ready answer for the faxing. but suggest first doing the free upgrade to OS10.4.11, which is the last version. Perhaps that fixed it. Software Update should do it.

  • SMTP Faxing - Multiple Domains

It appears as though it is not possible to define more than one Domain for a Fax node when using SMTP based faxing. Is this the case ?
The reason multiple domains is required is that in the one R/3 system, different countries may have different fax service providers so separate domains are required to route the smtp-fax to the correct destination.
This is possible under an RFC based fax connection. The std country routing schema can be pointed to the appropriate RFC fax device. Why not under SMTP?
    Any help appreciated

    Hello,
please read note 1768564  about user independent routing in standard SAP. Since some times this is working with SMTP and you don't need to use the report RSCONCDG. We distribute mails to different SMTP servers with the user parameter CDG. We use only one fax smtp server but this should work for fax, too.

  • Cisco ATA 187 faxing issues

We have a site (a new site) that has about 50 or so ATA 187's being used for faxing. Were having faxing issues where some fax machines can't fax to external (to the PSTN) fax machines. They seem to be related to Ricoh fax machines that are Super G3. Any one come across similar troubles with the ATA's? Considering going to VG224's.
    Thanks!

I have around 80 ATAs in production accross 11 sites and they gave me some headaches, a simple google search will produce dozens of similar issues.
Obviously there is a lot of things that come into play such as your PSTN transport (SIP/ISDN?) and also your media transmission method (t.38 vs pass-through). Here are some questions so we can better help you.
1.Start basic, make sure the affected ATAs have an external phone number mask properly assigned, sounds easy but this is the most common reason why my clients submit tickets.
    2. Are you using CUCM for call control?
3.Collect appropriate debugs and post them, "debug ccsip messages" or "debug isdn q931) depending of your transport. Also provide us a copy of your gw config.
    4. Symptoms: Issues with sending AND receiving? Error message/Busy signal?

  • Faxing issues HP Laserjet PRO 200 color MFP M276nw

When the product is ON receiving and sending fax is going ok, but when the product is on auto power down it don't awakes as it should when a fax is incomming.
I have an ISDN line with a separate number for fax and a second number for voice calls.
The answering mode is set to automatic, the rings to answer is set at 2, the distinctive ring is set to ALL RINGS,
I have set the SLEEP DELAY at 5 min and the  AUTO POWER DOWN DELAY at NEVER and all the wake events are ON.
    Why i can't receive fax?

    Hi ,
I see that you are having issues with the printer not waking up to receive a fax. I would like to help you.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector) This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation. Please make sure you are using grounded powers supplies.
What kind of line are you using? (DSL, Voip, Cable Modem, Analogue)
Go to the wrench icon/fax setup menu/advanced setup/private receive/turn it off.
Go to the wrench icon/service /fax service/error correction/turn it off.
Go to the wrench icon/fax setup /advanced setup/fax speed/change it to medium.
If the printer is networked, does the printer wake up when sending a print job after the printer is in sleep mode?
    Are you using a filter?
Are you using the 2 wire fax cable?
Where is the fax cable connected to? (modem, wall jack)
    Have a great day!
    Thank You.

    Fixes:
Addresses an issue where the device may not wake up from sleep mode when receiving a fax if it is connected to an improperly grounded 220v power source.
Be aware that you may instlal the firmware with the printer connected via USB or with a network cable.
If the printer is wirelessly connected to yoru router DO NOT update the firmware before connecting an ethernet cable to your router or a USB to your PC (depands on yoru printer model).

  • Fax issue with HP OfficeJet 7210 All-in-one

    Hi everyone,
I've got an issue with my HP OfficeJet 7210 All-in-one printer/fax (USB connection)
    I'm under Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard).
When I was under Tiger, my printer/fax worked properly.
After the upgrade to Leopard, the printer/fax was still installed (HP 7210 was displayed as installed in the printer list of the System Preferences).
The printer works fine but the fax doesn't ! An error consistenly occurs when I try to send a fax.
Thus, I decided to uninstall every HP components from my Mac. Then I proceeded a fresh install of the CD software/driver I received with my printer/fax.
During the installation, I get an error : "HP AIO TRAP has quit". I went further and continue the installation till the end by ignoring the problem.
The printer is still working fine but I'm unable to install my fax in the System Preferences because the fax simply doesn't appear either on the "Fax" tab or on the "More printer" tab.
Only an unuseful "Bluetooth" fax appear, I can install it but it's impossible to send a fax with it : http://users.cybernet.be/ptsalos/hp-leo1.png
In the "More printer" tab I got this : http://users.cybernet.be/ptsalos/hp-leo2.png ... It seems that no fax are detected (no fax are displayed in "HP AiO Télécopie" and the "Add" button is gray).
I hope you could help me !
PS: the fax works properly under Bootcamp with Windows XP PRO SP2
    Thank you very much.

OK, so enough software is available (or will so been available) for me to start posting these types of workarounds (and getting more of you up and running). And remember, what I am about to tell you is NOT supported by HP, so if you run into problems doing this do NOT call customer support. I am posting this stuff here to try to help out the community. I will stop posting if this gets abused (even once).
If you have an HP OfficeJet 7310 or 7210 printer, go to HP.com/support, tell it you have a 7410, and download the installer (follow my instructions on the [Beta Announcement|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1252889&tstart=0 ] thread if you need more details.
    Now follow these instructions:
Step 1: Run the installer, and follow the onscreen prompts.
Step 2: When the screen comes up to select your printer, check the box my printer isn't listed and continue.
Step 3: On the next screen select the OfficeJet 7400 Series and continue.
Step 4: Select the type of connectivity to your device.
Step 5: Install the software (this may take several minutes).
Step 6: When you get to the Setup Assistant, skip it. Make sure you de-select the two checkboxes before you continue otherwise it will remind you every time you log in.
Step 7: Go into the Print & Fax System Preference and manually add your print queue.
Step 8: Go into the Print & Fax System Preference and manually add your fax queue.
Step 9: Start using your device.
Congratulations, you now should have a fully functioning device under Leopard. So what won't work with this work around:
    1) The documentation on your device will be wrong.
    2) If you did not previously set up a station ID for the fax, one will not be set.
    3) Device Manager will not know anything about your device so the functionality there will be pretty useless (most stuff can be done through other means though). However if you already have a Tiger install, even this should (theoretically work).
    4) Good question, if you run into any other issues post them here, I may have forgotten something.
    WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!
Please install the final drivers when they come out, and preferable the beta drivers too for your device too! Just because things are working for you does not mean that this configuration is supported (its not) or that there aren't any known problems (there may be, we certainly don't test it) so please take caution and update when possible.
    Just trying to help.

  • BizTalk SMTP Relay Issue

We go to send mail via SMTP from all of servers, we are only able to send mail to @Dell.com addresses only.(same network)
We would not able to send to all address (like an @Microsoft.com or an @csc.com address)
I am able to send an email to all address through dot net application but not Biztalk
Please share your thoughts how to resolve the issue

I hope your .Net Application sending e-mail is NOT OUTLOOK? :D
From the BizTalk Server can you do an interactive SMTP session with the SMTP server and check if relay is permitted? If you get relay denied then very clearly the SMTP Server configuration requires modification. (the responses from the SMTP server are in

What is the response? do you get "250 2.1.5 <[email protected]>" or "relay denied".
Either way you should get someone who know mail & messaging involved to help to ensure that it is not a SMTP issue.
I agree with Ashwin on this NOT being a BizTalk related issue.

  • SMTP sender issue

I have a SQR reprot which send report via emails. Recently I have changed the SMTP sender to another e-mail address in the configuration file of app server and did a bounce of application server. Now the issue is that the emails are being sent with the old email address,so what might be the issue?Do we have to change the SMTP sender in the configuration file of the process scheduler?

Yes, since the SQR are managed by the Process Scheduler, you should modify the prcs config file.

Thu Dec 25 13:09:00 2008 Info: ICID 184830 REJECT SG BLACKLIST match sbrs[-10.0:
    -3.0] SBRS -4.0
I think the problem is that the IP address you're coming from (i.e. *.
.broadband.ctm.net) has a low SBRS score and you're getting stopped by the HAT Overview/Blacklist sendergroup first, before you're allowed to transmit your username/password.
Therefore, I don't think the problem is with the smtp auth at this point. It's the low SBRS score.
    Try this.
Create a custom/new sender group just for your ISP and put it at the top of your HAT Overview (or at least above the Blacklist).
    1. Create a new sendergroup called "Accept-Broadband". Set the connection behavior to be "Accept"
    2. Make sure the order is at the top.
    3. For the senders, add ".broadband.ctm.net" to the list of connecting host.
    4. This way, you can make sure your connections don't get stopped by the Blacklist.
Then, try the smtp auth again. Try and get that to work first.
We'll discuss the low SBRS score issue later once the smtp auth is working.
And by the way, there's nothing wrong with you, it's just broadband.ctm.net has a low sbrs score. It's like the passenger in the taxi is okay, but the taxi driver is bad.

  • Faxing issue

I have a HP Photosmart 7525 all in one printer. I do not have a phone line hooked to it. My answering machine is 30 ft away from my printer so I didn't plug it in to my printer.I tried to print a credit card statement, it would not print. It appeared it wanted to set up a fax cover page.I don't want to use faxing function on this printer. How do I stop faxing  feature from creating other issues on my printer? I just want it to print, what I want, not what it thinks I want!!!!!

    Hi MRWalleye,
Thank you for the information on your problem, this information will help me to narrow the solution. By your description with your problem I guess that  the printer did not installed and setup properly with all your applications. So I suggest to remove the driver and software  and install it again.
Here are the steps to perform the removal of the driver  fromn your computer with Windows 7 operative system:
Follow these steps to remove the HP print driver and software from a Windows 7 computer.
Important: If your printer connects to the computer with a USB cable, disconnect the cablefrom the printer now.
Figure 3: Disconnect the USB cable from the printer
Step one: Uninstall the Basic Device Software
Follow these steps to remove the product driver from your computer.
Click the Windows icon (), and then click All Programs. A list of programs installed on your computer displays.
Click the HP folder, and then click the folder with the name and model number of your HP product.
Click Uninstall, and then follow the on-screen instructions. The Basic Device Software uninstalls.
Step two: Uninstall other HP software through the Windows Control Panel
Remove any additional software specific to your HP product through the Windows Uninstall a program feature. Follow these steps to uninstall the software.
IMPORTANT: If you have multiple HP printers installed on your computer, some of the software components could be shared. Use caution if the uninstaller asks if you want to remove shared files. Other HP printers or software programs might not work correctly if you delete certain files.
On the Windows taskbar, click the Windows icon (), and then click Control Panel. The Windows Control Panel opens.
Click Uninstall a program. A list of currently installed programs opens.
NOTE:If you do not see any HP software in the list, there is no further software to remove from your computer.
In the list of programs, click an HP software title, and then click Uninstall. Follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall the software.
Press the power button to turn off the HP product, and then unplug the product power cord from the wall outlet.
    Restart the computer.
And these are the step to install the driver and software again:
Method one: Download and install the software from the HP website (recommended)
Follow these steps to download and install the software.
Step one: Download and install the software
    Turn on the printer.
Disconnect the USB cable from the printer and the computer (if you already connected it). If the printer is connected to your network, leave it connected.
Go to HP Drivers & Downloads .
If the Welcome to HP Support page opens, follow these steps:
In the Enter product name or number field, type your printer model or number.
In the Questions or keywords field, type driver, and then press Enter.
You might need to select your printer model number from a list of similar printer models.
Next to the image of your printer, click the name of your printer.
Figure 3: Example of the link to your printer homepage
On the HP support site, click Drivers.
Select your operating system, and then click Next.
A list of drivers and other downloads display.
Scroll down the page, and then click Driver - Product Installation Software.
Click Download next to the full feature software and driver listed, and then follow the prompts to save the driver to your computer.
Open the folder where the software file saved (usually Downloads), double-click the file, and then follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.
Step two: Select the wireless connection setup optionUse the option that applies to your installation screen.
Please, let me know if you  have any other question or comment.

  • MITM Security Registry Edit Causing SMTP Relay Issue

Hi, I recently was asked by a client to harden all externally facing web resources for a PCI compliance scan. I found a script that does most of the work by adding various protocols (TLS 1.2, SSL 3.0, etc.) and enabling them. The script however was not helping
    us get past Man In The Middle (MITM) scans, so I added 2 registry settings;
    HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SChannel\
    added
    DisableRenegoOnServer      1
    AllowInsecureRenegoClients       0
After doing this a Linux web app could not relay messages via SMTP (the only server having a problem) on port 25. So, I had to back out the changes in Exchange, but now I'm wondering how to work around this? Anyone every run into this or have any tips they
    can offer? Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
When the users fail to send/receive emails, are there any error message or NDR?
Try removing the “AllowInsecureRenegoServers” key and see whether the issue still persists.

I just wanted to create this post to see if anyone else has had this issue before and if they might know of a possible fix. I work in a faily large organizaion and we have multiple of these machines both locally and remotely but we have consistent issues with these machines sending and receiving faxes. The the faxes we are sending somtimes are misisng pages and sometimes the machines will not recieve any faxes. We are in the US so I am not sure if there might be different standards internationally for faxing.
    Thank You for any input

After reading the excellent suggestions in the Ask The Experts threads, I managed to get my officejet 4315 installed. I can now print, scan and copy from the solution center and save to file. I first downloaded all of the windows 7 driver updates and then rebooted my lappy (Toshiba A105) and then downloaded the full package Vista software from HP support. I Right clicked on the file and selected properties, under compatability I select run as administrator and then installed the software. You still will not have faxing capabilities from the solution center but the fax works in stand alone. That I can live with untill the brain-e-acks here get the fax manager issue resolved. I hope this helps some of you, it worked for me.
