Actually, this is not the first time I've posted this
question with no reply, THANKS! I was wondering if anyone else is
having this problem. I've created a standalone Flash 7 project (
myMovie.exe ) to be played on a CD. This CD has an autorun.inf in
the root directory. When I pop the CD into the computer it starts
up the Flash Player but with no content. If I create a myMovie.exe
in Director, everything works as it should, contents and all. But
the Flash version shows a blank screen, just an empty Flash Player.
To see the movie I have to navigate to the CD and click on
myMovie.exe then it plays fine. I never had this problem with Flash
6. I have the same problem with Flash 8 Demo. The folks at
Macromedia tell me it's not a Flash issue. So, does anyone else
have this problem???

complicates issues as now we dont know which if the 2 threads

ok - so, to get to your problem - how have you setup your
movie? we know it is a projector file -
but are you using loadMovie with it as well? do you have
assets external of the EXE? can you upload
the FLA? Are you publishing straight from Flash as a
projector file? or are you using any 3rd party
projector tools?

Same thing just happened to me. I've created a "Spam Call" contact and have been adding numbers to it as they come in. Today is the first time that the phone rang that was named Spam Call. Very disappointing.

I listen to http://www.nj1015.com and for quite awhile would click on 'listen live' on their website and the Windows Media Player would start up and no problem connecting. All this while using Safari.
Lately, when using Safari, when I do the above what happens is that the Player launches as normal but I get an error message (Error creating unique tmp file) and no connection is made.
Just this morning I tried listening to the station by launching Firefox, going to the NJ101.5 website and then clicking on 'listen live', the Player launches and the connection is made just fine.
So my question is this: why does Firefox work when connecting to NJ 101.5's 'listen live' whereas Safari does not???

I took your suggestion and downloaded Flip4Mac's WM components for QT and it seems to be working OK. Safari did crash right after QT opened and started playing and QT isn't quite as free-flowing (stutters along) as using the WM player.
I may just stick with using Firefox to connect to the radio station's live feed since the Safari options just don't work as well.

My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

I can't make or take phone calls, but i can message and use data. Has this happened to anyone else? I've gone through three Samsung Galaxy S5's in the past three days, two of which have this problem and one just stopped working all together.

I've had new sim cards put in, ive done hard resets on the phone, i've rebooted the phone, done battery pulls, and tech support has reset the signal to my phone. Nothing has worked. Im in 79707. So to recap my whole case: I upgraded my device using the verizon wireless website. I received my phone and switched my old SIM card from my Droid Razr Maxx HD into the new Galaxy S5. Everything worked fine until the next morning (May 31st) when I woke up and the phone wouldn't turn on. I took the phone to the local Verizon store and they were also unable to turn it on. They issued me a new Galaxy S5 (referred to as phone 2) and switched my SIM card into that one.
With PHONE 2 i was able to make calls and receive calls, along with text and data for approximately four hours. After that, i was unable to use the phone function of the device, but text and data were still functioning. I took PHONE 2 back to the Verizon store where they attempted to hard reset the phone twice, they also installed two new SIM cards at the store. After this they would get the same error, which is the phone just reading "Dialing..." after attempting to make a call. The Verizon associate declared the phone "DOA" and issued me another Galaxy S5 (referred to as PHONE 3).
PHONE 3 worked well, with phone text and data featured intact from when I received it on the after noon of the 31st until approximately 2:30PM on June 1st. I contacted Verizon Tech Support via Gmail phone to attempt the correct the problem. They reset the connection, had me do a battery pull, had me close the "phone" application, and erase the data and catche, then restart the phone. All of which had no effect. My phone is still able to receive texts and use data (even with wifi off) it simply cannot make or take phone calls. all it says is "dialing..." when I attempt to make a call. When other phones call my device it rings once on their end and directs them to voicemail, PHONE 3 does not ring on my end.
I have made sure my old phone is completely powered down.

Has Anyone NOT Tried LiveType Yet ? Take A Look At This.

It was designed to show PC members of my video club what was available to FCE users.
For any of you who have not yet tried LiveType, take a look at this video. It does get a bit L - O - N - G .... (or boring?) but it might whet your appetite.

I certainly don't want to squash anyone's accomplishments here, but I just wanted to give my two cents on what I feel is LiveType's very limited use. I have a problem with pre-fab software in general, simply because I usually have a very hard time fitting it to my needs. Granted, I have probably not spent as much time LiveType as I should to be making these criticisms, but every time I go through LT and make some titles, all I want to do is tweak them fit the visual style I want. For whatever reason, I do not find LT's interface very intuitive, and leave frustrated. I get the impression that LT isn't really design for hand crafting effects (I could be wrong?).
I also find that the pre-fab effects in LT are really over the top. How many uses am I going to have for text that appears in a slot machine, or has lightning flying off of it in all different directions? Usually, I'm looking for something that's subtle, effective, and graphically pleasing. A lot of LT's effects just scream Public Access (or old school Video Toaster).
In a pinch, it does provide a lot of options. But I think if you find yourself in the pro world, most studios are going to shy away from it because people are going to know its stock pre-fab LT from a mile away. I know sometimes I'll be watching an ad on TV and hear some of the stock Soundtrack loops, and I'll just laugh to myself.
What I'm saying is, LT will only take you so far in adding fancy-schmancy effects. I know its easy, I know its free. But if you suddenly find yourself getting that itch for motion graphics, take the time to check out Motion (which is also pretty easy and straightforward) or After Effects (which honestly, has endless possbilities).

LiveCam.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. Constant Error. HELP PLEASE

Alright so basically, my parents got a buy-one-get-one-free offer on webcams at christmas, and so they gave me one for my own as i lost my old one. Everything was working fine, seemed like a great camera.
However, randomly one evening when i tried to open Live! Cam Center to record a video, it refused to open, instead giving me a small white box with the loading symbol inside (thats where live! cam center usually opens out into the UI) and a boz saying "LiveCam.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.".
Now i thought that it was just a random one-off thing, but it happens EVERY time, WITHOUT fail. The cam works fine on MSN and skype etc, just when i try to record anything or manually take pictures , cam center doesn't work. And it doesn't seem to just be cam center, almost every software i've tried for just plain recording/capturing failed.
Tried updating to latest drivers and software, tried using older versions, tried using the cam from my family pc (identical cam) - failed, tried using all different USB ports randomly, failed. I'm really desperate here now, i'm at the point where i'm almost going to give it away and buy a non-creative webcam cos its really annoying.
My webcam is the Live! Cam Video IM Pro. Here's a copy of the error report from windows, its the same every time:

IMO, seeing that you are using WinXP, you might be better off with the older Flash 10.3.183.90 version. Flash 11.0 and later have "improvements" that don't work on WinXP - only Vista and later. Adobe did continue to support and provide security updates for Flash 10.3 until a few months before WinXP went EOL back in April of this year.

Sw24.exe has encountered a problem

I am getting an error message on start up "sw24. exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." (At times, the system slows to a crawl, but not always. It seems to be related to the error. ) This started after installed Myst V on my brand new system, and is continuing even tho I have uninstalled it. Ubisoft support said this file comes with msi drivers. I don't know if Myst caused the problem, or i accidentally did something when I was trying to get rid of it. Does this sound familiar? If so, how do I fix it?
I have tried doing a system restore to pre-myst days, and doing a registry clean. I also downloaded a new driver for the video card and installed that. I am still getting the error and the slow-down. I have disabled Spyware doctor, no effect.

How on earth does someone hack into my iTunes account and charge my visa/debit card? I got no emails from iTunes, so I know it's not them. This has happened twice to me and it's after I take out my credit information. I found out because of a bounced check, plus my bank statement had all the charges on it. They start small with just a few dollars but they do it every day sometimes twice a day. Then next to where they tell you who charged it, it says iTunes with a bogus phone# to call? In total they stole $224 from me. I was lucky my bank refunded the money stollen. Has this happened to anyone else?

People get their accounts hacked all the time. It's unfortunate, but true. To prevent this in the future, you need to:
- choose a good password, with a mix of upper and lowercase letter and numbers, that someone wouldn't be able to guess by stalking you on social media sites
- be aware of surroundings when entering a password, to be sure nobody's looking over your shoulder
- be cautious of what you do on open wifi networks (ie, networks that do not require a password to join)
- use a different password on each site
- use a password manager so you don't have to remember all those different passwords

iPhone 5S: does anybody has this problem. During a successful voice call all of a sudden people can't hear me while I can hear them. Signal is strong and call quality (me hearing the other) is still very good but it looks as if I’m going on mute while I’m not muting my iPhone. When dropping the call and re-dialing it works fine again. It’s a brand new iPhone 5S but it now happened already 4 or 5 times in 2 days.
It feels like a hardware/iOS problem and not a network issue. It happend with iOS7.03 but I just see 7.0.4 is available so will install that one now.

I have been working with Oracle Designer on an old computer (running Windows 2000 and an Oracle 10.2 database) and I am attempting to get it to run on a newer computer (running Windows XP and an Oracle 11g database (release 11.1.0.6)). Regarding the Designer version, I installed the same version (9.0.4.3) that was running on the old computer. On the new computer, features of the tool have worked (ER Diagrammer, DB Design Transformer, Design Editor), but the Export operation of the Repository Admin Utility did not work. When I attempted to run Export, the following happened:
(1) The "Save As" dialog was displayed (as expected).
(2) A EXP.EXE script window opened for the Export command and displayed the following:
Export: Release 9.0.1.5.1
Connected to: Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.1.0.6.0
Export done in WE8MSWIN1252 character set and AL16UTF16 NCHAR character set
(3) Immediately, an error dialog appeared stating "EXP.EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
I am testing Export so that I can test Import, which is the operation I will need to load data from the old computer.
Any ideas how to fix this problem?
If it can't be fixed, are there other ways of transferring data from one repository installation to another?

add the 11g client to the pc and then modify the registry so that it points to the imp and exp from the 11g client.
