SOA Human Workflow actionable notifications are sent, but no action is take

Hi,
We have a Human Task on the composite. The Task is configured with Actionable Email and Approvers are also getting actionable notifications in their Inbox. But when they take action from the email notification (APPROVE or REJECT), it is not responding. The Status of the composite still shows running . But when the Action is taken from the Worklist application , it works.
Can anybody help me with this.
Is this an issue with the composite or is it a configuration issue on SOA environment.
Regards
Pradosh

Hi Pradosh
1. Have you done Email Driver configuration settings in EM Console. Remember for Actionable Emails, the Task should act on those Actions like Approve, Reject etc which are Triggered from Email. Hence a valid Email Address is required, a valid email smtp host, port etc etc are required and needs to be configured.
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e13806/ns_config.htm#CEGDBCEI
Once you enable Actionable Emails and do above configuration, you can work on your Tasks from Emails or IPhones or IPads etc.
Thanks

  • Approach to create a generic Approval process using SOA human workflow ?

    Hello Experts,
I'm looking to create a generic approval process using oracle soa human workflow component using JDev 11.1.1.5
Have about 7-8 existing applications which do some kind of 'approval' . So need to create a generic solution for all 7-8 applications, instead of users logging into 7-8 different applications to approve by logging into different systems. Just want to have like a 'one stop shop' , where i can just go and approve for any application without having to log into separate applications.
I'm looking to get some suggestions and ideas, on how I can achieve this functionality ... Any suggestions/ideas are appreciated .
    Thanks a lot.

    Hello,
you can find multiple sample on the web like those

    I don't think that's very different using VS2013 or VS2012

  • Human Workflow email notification to a distribution list when assigned to an approval group

    Hi All,
is there a way to send the notification email to an email distribution list when a task is assigned to an approval group instead of sending individuals emails to each member?
As of now HW config is sending individual emails to each member of the approval group when the task is assigned to that approval group, for some approval groups (not all) they want the notification emails be sent to a distribution list, also we are using the actionable emails - so far it's working fine - the only thing is that the recipient of the actionable emails should be a dist list, is this even possible?
    thanks in advance

    Hi,
From your description, some users that are not the dynamic distribution group members receive the messages that are sent to the dynamic distribution groups. If I have misunderstood your concern, please let me know.
In your case, I recommend you use the following cmdlets to verify the members of this dynamic distribution group at first.
    $MarketingGroup = Get-DynamicDistributionGroup "Marketing Group"
    Get-Recipient -RecipientPreviewFilter $MarketingGroup.RecipientFilter -OrganizationalUnit $MarketingGroup.OrganizationalUnit
    Hope it helps.

    Hi Amy,
Correct, some users that should and are filtered out from the DDL are receiving the emails.
I set the variable and ran the command you provided and got consistent results to the "filter preview" in EMC, the particular user that is filtered out in both membership preview method is still receiving these emails!

  • EJB method parameters are sent but nulls are received

My client calls my EJB method passing two serializable objects as parameters.
Using print statements and a network snoop I have confirmed that:
    - the client is calling the method with valid objects
    - from examining the data it appears that the objects are being serialized and sent across the network
    - the EJB seems to receive null values.
I have deployed the EJB to both 9iAS and a standalone instance of OC4J with exactly the same results.
    Any ideas?

    Hi Dale and Kamesh,
No error messages? Nothing in the log files? Have you tried running OC4J in debug mode? In case you haven't already seen it, this "Technical Note" has more details.
Pardon me if I am stating the obvious, but it seems like there is a deserialization problem. Are the client JVM and server JVM both the same version? Have you implemented custom [de]serialization for the parameter classes? Is the same version of the parameter class files located both at the client and at the server?
    Good Luck,
    Avi.

  • Where to configure user from which email notifications are sent

    Hi,
If a user, by mistake, has sent an email to an undefined email recipient, the CRM system will send an email back to that sender, saying the status of the message is undelivered & the the error (for ex. undefined recipient).
There should be a place in the CRM system config where we can select the user which should be used for sending such notifications.
Any idea where do we set this user?
    Thanks for helping.
    Regards,
    Kaushal

Please check transaction SOST. It will provide you a list of all communications.
A background job basically runs to deliver email notifications. Note the program name for the transaction SOST and search for jobs via SM37. The job step's user-id will be the sender of all email communications.

  • Iphone Imessages are Sent But Not received

Problem: Imessage is going using iphone. But Wasn't able to receive in Iphone. But these received message are visible in other devices(Mac or Ipad).
When you upgrade the iOS all the imessage settings are going to be refreshed and the latest and greatest upgrade device settings will be stored at Imessage settings level.
For example, First I upgraded my iphone to iOS 6.0.1 and imessages from iphone is working normal. I was able to send and receive imessages. Next I upgraded my macbook pro to Mac OS X Mountain Lion (10.8) and I used the same Apple Id here. Now, I stopped receiving Imessages in phone, but I'm able to receive in Macbook.
What this means to Iphone Imessages?
I think Imessage setttings at apple server level changed and We need to change it back. When you go to Message Settings> Your phone number is Graded Out and Unchecked. Only Apple ID's and other email ID's are checked.
    How and Where to change?
    1) Settings>Messages>Send&Receive> Tap on Apple ID
        Sign Out
    2) Settings>FaceTime> Tap on Apple ID
        Sign Out
    3) Turn Off the Phone and Turn On Again
Give it some time to save settings at server level(My Guess).
    4) Try sending an imessage and check. Make sure Only Imessage is turned on not the SMS from Carrier. At settings level you phone number must be Checked to receive messages on Phone.
    5) Login Back to Apple ID. You can select all the accounts that you want to receive imessages.
It helped me to get imessages on my Mobile. Hope it helps you as well.

No one here can tell you what your provider is doing with your messages. Once Thunderbird hands the email off to your providers server it is done. Your provider can track the message and tell you what is happening as it travels through its server. Ask them again but ask for a tech that knows what they are doing.

  • Notifications are great, but it needs an optional delete

I like the notificatification option in OS 10.8, but I would love the option to delete the email when the alert posts.  Is this available?

Try changing your Mail Notification setting in System Preferences from Alerts to Banners. They appear for a while, then fade away.
Optionally, I have all three check boxes and 5 Recent Items selected.
With these settings, I do not need to purposely delete mail related messages in the side Notification panel.

  • Content Server: Workflow Reject Notification

When I approve content via content server workflow, email notifications are sent to the person in the next stage of the workflow process. Sergio,
Were you able to figure out why this was happening? I'm experiencing this problem myself. Another problem I'm having is when a step has multiple assignees, e-mails are being sent out to only one of the assignees. Let me know if you know about this one or figured out why rejection notifications were not being sent. Thanks,

  • Human Workflow Notifications Emails - Turn these Off?

    All,
We have built an application that uses Oracle BPM and sginificant number of Human Tasks. We have also configured the Email notifications to allow SOA to send emails through our generic fault framework.
The issue we have is as a result of this, we are now sending Task Notifications to the users in the Task Assignee group for each task created. This is because the users in LDAP have their email properties set. These can not be removed as it is based on LDAP / AD.
Is there away to allow emails to be sent via the Email Notifications but turn off the Human Workflow Task Notifications? Unless I am missing something fundamental, I cant see a way to do this.
The Email driver was set as per http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E14571_01/integration.1111/e10226/hwf_config.htm#BHCJDGFJ. Hence the email driver for the UMS is configured and the Worklist Notifications is configured for email. I assumed you need this set for the Email Notifications to work.
    Kind Regards
    Dave

If you look at the Notification tab on your Human Tasks you can remove the default notifications for Assign, Complete and Error. This will prevent anyone from getting Human Workflow notifications for these tasks.
    Thanks,
    Adam DesJardin

  • Notifications are not sent to some users, even after the status is green.

    Hello
There are some notifications sent to many(4 to 5 users and i am one of them) users from the SAP system. And i can see in the SCOT transaction that the notifications are sent successfully to all the users. Status is Green(transmitted). But,the issue is that, Some users are getting the notifications and some(Incliding myself) are not.
The users who has mail id say for example  [email protected] are getting the notifications within no time but some usres who has maild id like [email protected] are not getting the notifications even after a day.
There are two Nodes are active in the SCOT transaction, One is SMTP and other one is Dummy.
In the address area of the Node SMTP, around 11 users mail ids are maintained, which includes both type mail ids xxxxxxx@xyz and
    [email protected]
And the * (star) is maintained in the address area of the Node Dummy.
Can you please give me some clue which can help me in resolving this issue.
    Thanks for your time.
    Chetan....

    Hello Balaji,
    Thanks for your inputs.
As i informed that, there are two nodes active in the SCOT transaction. Address area of the NODE A is already set as '*'. So, it was not possible for me to set the start * value in the address area of the NODE B. I dont think its possible to maintain * in Both the NODES.
In the Node A, we have maintained * and in the Node B we have maintained some users mail ids. Because, as this is Quality system we dont want everyone to get the notifications.
    Thanks for your inputs.

  • Differences between human workflow in SOA Suite or in BPM Suite?

    according to:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/soasuite/index-090227.html
both oracle suites have human workflow.
can anyone point out what is the real difference then between this two human workflow components?
    if there is non:
can anyone point out big differences between BPM suite and SOA Suite?
    regards chris

    There are no difference.
BPM Suite 11g is deployed on top of SOA Suite 11g and it uses the Human Workflow of SOA Suite only.
You will see additional functionalities in Human Workflow if you are having a BPM suite instead of SOA Suite like Business Calendar, Protected Flex Fields, Application Roles, AMX functionalities will be enabled by default, etc.

  • Action Notifications

    Hi
I have a few action notifications where the recepient is supposed to take some action on the notification. The notifications are going out fine but the problem is when they try to do an action by opening the mail like Approve or Reject, it opens up an email with % in the To field. Can anyone please help me here.

Workflow Mailer from 11.5.9 supports IMAP for inbound processing. Following is how it works.
    1. Outbound - Workflow mailer send all the e-mails to the recipients using the SMTP server that you specify as part of the mailer configuration. The user now receives e-mails that requires to be responded.
    2. Inbound - User clicks on a link in the e-mail that opens up a new e-mail compose window with content populated automatically. This e-mail response should be sent back to the mailer that sent the original e-mail to the recipient. When we say it should be sent back to the mailer, it means to an e-mail address that is set in Reply To configuration parameter of the mailer.
This e-mail address is like any other e-mail address whose account is created on an IMAP server. For example, if you specifiy [email protected] as the Reply To address for the mailer, all the e-mail responses are sent to this address.
The mailer should also be configured apart from Reply To address... to read e-mails sent to this e-mail address. Following configuration parameters should be set for the mailer to match the Reply To address.
    IMAP Account - Typically mycompany.com
    IMAP Username - Typically wf_account
IMAP Password - Password for the IMAP user
Inbox - IMAP by default uses Inbox folder to store all incoming messages
Discard, Processed - User-created IMAP folders to store messages after processing.
Please note that the above information entered in the mailer's configuration is used by the mailer to receive response e-mails sent to the Reply To address [email protected] Mailer works the same way you would use Outlook to connect to this e-mail address, read e-mails and move them to appropriate folders. Mailer is in this case an e-mail client in itself, connecting to an IMAP account, reading e-mails and moving them to folders.
    Thanks
    Vijay

  • EPM Workflow Email Notifications

I have inherited an EPM implementation that has EPM Workflow Email Notifications. The email text is not very informative and I want to customize this text to something more meaningful. I have been told this cannot be done, but find this very hard to believe.
Does anyone know if this can be done? Many thanks, in advance.

    Hi,
I am assuming these email notifications are sent when the project moves between workflow stages, approval etc.? The short answer is: yes, the text of the email notifications can be updated. However, it depends on how your workflows have been built, which
tools have been used  (e.g. SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio, 3rd party tool etc.) and the project server version - 2010/2013.
If you are using project server 2013, check if the workflows have been built using SharePoint Designed (open the PWA in SharePoint designer and check the site workflows)
    Hope this helps

Could somebody can provide mesome pinter to solve this issue .
    Thanks in advance .

    Hi Vinod,
Thanks for your reply. But this was working earlier. We also have our own mapper class for the customs things we did.
But i am not sure of the reason, suddenly this is not working after some SP20 releases.
What all the basics things we need to check this?
Send to Mail functionality working - this ensures email is going
Admin Notifications - This ensures the subscription is working.
Update Admin notifications - This ensures the notifications are sent when we update the subscriptions
like this, what all the things we need to check for the resources inside the folder?
    Thanks,
    Senthilkumar
