Soap UI HTTP Request Parameter

Hi,
I am working on HTTP two way port in BizTalk.
My input schema is as below.
<ns0:Order xmlns:ns0="http://BizTalk.HTTPAdapterDemoApp.Message_XML">
<ItemNumber>01</ItemNumber>
<Quantity>499</Quantity>
<Status />
</ns0:Order>
BizTalk Logic:
if Qty<500 then Status= 'Approved' else Status= 'Denied'.
I am sending this input message to BizTalk from console application and I am able to receive the response from BizTalk.
Now I want to send this message to BizTalk from Soap UI.
Can any one help me, How many parameter do I need to create in Soap UI to work it properly?
Thanks UK

Here it goes.
I can able to send the HTTP request of input schema and getting the response by using console application.
While using Soap UI, I am getting below errors.
In Biztalk console, I am getting below error,
The BizTalk HTTP receive adapter failed to initialize itself. Possible reasons:
1) Receive location URL is not created/configured correctly.
2) Receive location is not enabled.
3) HTTP receive adapter is not running under a user that has access to management and message databases.
4) Isolated host instance is not created for HTTP Receive adapter.
In Soap UI, I am getting the below error.
<data contentType="text/html; charset=utf-8" contentLength="6094">

• SOAP - Passing HTTP request header

Hi, all!
Please help me... :-)
I have deployed a service using Tomcat, and now i need for each method that my service invokes, to know from which IP did the SOAP request come. Basically, I believe it is stored in HttpRequest, but I cant reach it since invocation of my method includes only parameters sent by SOAP client.
Any ideas will be welcome
Thanks

Create a soapheader object in the client and pass the ip address in it so that at the server side you can retrive it back.

• SOAP Adapter Sender PI7.1: 400 Bad HTTP request

Hello,
I have a problem with a SOAP adapter sender communication channel.
I'm trying to migrate a scenario from XI 3.0 to PI7.1 SP6 (PI_BASIS 2006_1_710 SAPKIPYN06).
I can send messages successfully to the old system using the URL
http://host:port/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:BC_Name:CC_SOAP_Sender
On PI7.1 I get
400 Bad HTTP request
Error: -21
Version: 7010
Component: HTTP_PLG
Module: http_plgrt_mt.c
Line: 5226
Error Tag:
Detail: illegal request version
I have created a Sender Agreement, generated the wsdl from that and tried the URL in there.
Surprisingly it has the old format, namely
http://host:port/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?senderParty=&senderService=BC_Name&receiverParty=&receiverService=&interface=myInterface&interfaceNamespace=urn:my.Interface:ns
although the 7.1 documentation describes the ?channel=party:service:channel style only.
Anyway, the result remains the same.
I tried some other approaches like escaping the colons in the URL without success.
The user has the role SAP_XI_DEVELOPER_J2EE assigned.
Any idea what's wrong here?
Thanks in advance
Rainer

>>In RWB the channel appears as "started but inactive".
Yeah,it will be like that because you are posting messages directly to Integration server."Propose URL" does that.You are bypassing the adapter engine when you use the URL generated by "Propose URL" button.
/people/stefan.grube/blog/2006/09/21/using-the-soap-inbound-channel-of-the-integration-engine
The above blog gives the reason for this,if you want to bypass the adapter engine,then generate the URL as given in the above blog
/people/siva.maranani/blog/2005/03/01/testing-xi-exposed-web-services
This blog explains how to post message to adapter engine,here you need to change the URL,don't click on "Propose URL" button.You can monitor SOAP adapter in RWB only if you generate the URL as given in second blog
The URL which is working for you in XI 3.0 is posting messages to adapter engine,so generate the URL in PI 7.1 in the same way,by following the second blog i have mentioned.
Thanks

• Only HTTPS requests are working for SOAP Sender and HTTP not working

wHi Experts,
We have enabled our HTTPS port ( SSL ) in NWA -- >> Security -- >> SSL and Key stores. So understanding is HTTPS port is now enabled on top of HTTP. So PI should be able to cater requests at both ports.
Now, we have developed a synchronous SOAP to RFC scenario and downloaded WSDL file. This file has both links -
a. http:<host>:<port>
b. https:<host>:<port>
We intend to make a PI system where both ports can work. Now questions.
1. When we test web service exposed from PI using SOAPUI tool, only HTTPS works fine and gets the response back. If we try HTTP URL, an error is encountered - HTTTPS scheme is required.
2. Is this whole understanding that both ports ( HTTP, HTTPS ) should be able to operate simultaneously correct ? Or this is not at all possible ?
3. In SOAP Sender, we tried selecting all 3 options - 1. HTTP 2. HTTPS without client authentication 3. HTTPS with client authentication.
None of the options have any effect on testing, Each time, only HTTPS request works and HTTP doesn't.
Can anyone please provide some hints for troubleshooting ?
Thanks..
regards,
Rajagopal.

The error "HTTPS scheme is required" is normally returned when the HTTP Security Level on the SOAP adapter is not set to "HTTP". I can see you have mentioned you have tried all these, maybe a cache refresh has gone wrong? Could try recreating the channel with just HTTP specified as security level and this should allow HTTP or HTTPS
I assume you are using a different port number for your HTTP and HTTPS requests from SOAP UI. Normally the HTTPS port is the same as the HTTP port number but the final zero changed to a 1 i.e. https://<host>:50001 instead of http://<host>:50000.
You should be able to confirm both HTTP and HTTPS work OK by loading some of the system webpages in a browser over HTTP and over HTTPS i.e. http://<host>:<port>/nwa and https://<host>:<port>/nwa

• Apex_web_service.make_request throws ORA-29273: HTTP request failed. How to get the soap fault XML?

I am trying to call a web service using apex_web_service.make_request function.
It works fine when all the parameters are correct. However, when something is wrong in the request XML, it throws an exception instead of returning the soap:fault message:
ORA-29273: HTTP request failed
ORA-06512: at "SYS.UTL_HTTP", line 1369
ORA-29269: HTTP server error 500 - Internal Server Error
ORA-06512: at "APEX_040200.WWV_FLOW_WEBSERVICES_API", line 130
ORA-06512: at line 37
I need to get back the soap:fault and parse it to display a proper error message to the users (e.g. what was wrong with the input), yet the call throws an exception instead of returning it.
I am trying the exact same request from soapUI and it returns me the soap:fault below:
<soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope">
<soap:Body>
<soap:Fault>
<soap:Code>

<soap:Reason>
<soap:Text xml:lang="en">Fault occurred while processing.</soap:Text>
</soap:Reason>
<soap:Detail>
<ns1:RegisterFault xmlns:ns1="http://www.exchangenetwork.net/wsdl/register/1">

The security token has expired.

<errorCode xsi:type="ns2:RegisterErrorCode" xmlns:ns2="http://www.exchangenetwork.net/wsdl/register/1" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">E_TokenExpired</errorCode>
</ns1:RegisterFault>
</soap:Detail>
</soap:Fault>
</soap:Body>
</soap:Envelope>
How do I get this back from APEX?
Thanks!

Hi,
I've just run into this.
If the webservice returns a fault, such as:
<soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"><soap:Body><soap:Fault><faultcode>soap:Server</faultcode><faultstring>INVALID_REQUESTER_INFO</faultstring></soap:Fault></soap:Body></soap:Envelope>
then the user gets presented with an unfriendly error message and there's no chance to output a more friendly one.
The response above is seen when testing the webservice, when run from the Form/Report page, we get something like:
soap:ServerINVALID_REQUESTER_INFO
Contact your application administrator.
OK
When OK button is clicked everything is rolled back and we don't even get the fault XML.
It would be good if Apex could be optionally set to not give the unfriendly messages, so that we could code such a message ourselves.
Unless anybody has a workaround for this, I guess that I'll have to see if I can code this in PLSQL.
Regards,
Chris

• SOAP/HTTP request

Hi,
I need to build a BPEL process that will receive a SOAP/HTTP request.
can any one explain the work arround.
1. Do I need the schema for incoming SOAP message?.
2. Do i need to change the wsdl?.
3. Will BPEL support SOAP attachments if so is there any work arround?.
I am currently using Oracle BPEL 10.1.2.0.2.
Your help would be appreciated..
Thanks,
Mamatha

The WSDLs in 10.1.3.1 will take SOAP requests - not sure about what you would have to do for 10.1.2.x
Knowing the XSD of the SOAP request, and being able to import it as a schema will make things a lot easier - use the SOAP XSD to replace the payload variable element for request and response message types.
Not sure about attachments...

• Application that receive SOAP and normal http request

Hi Guys,
I've been working onto web service right now using Spring. Been using this for receiving SOAP requests... Right now its working smoothly. But I want my application to cater both SOAP request and normal http request. Is that possible? If yes, can you guide me how?

Sorry for the formatting above. I interspersed lines between the questions, but they seem to have mostly disappeared.

im writing a class to obtain the soap http request from client on the server side. im not sure if i should be using the java.net class or the httpurlconnection or any other similar class. anyone have suggestions?

You can also use JAX-WS which can be found at http://jax-ws.dev.java.net.

• SOAP web service: null parameter if namespace not declared in envelope

Hi guys,
We are exposing a SOAP web service on WebLogic Portal 10.0. The service has one method which takes a single parameter. The service works correctly if the namespace is declared in the envelope element, but it is unable to map the request correctly if the namespace is declared on each request element and so the single parameter is null.
This works:

• SOAP web service: query parameter?

Hi guys,
I'm a newbie when it comes to web services and I've hit a problem that I didn't expect. I've exposed several SOAP services using the JAX-WS and WebLogic which are working fine. I've tried implementing an access key security mechanism such as Amazon does by adding a filter in front of the service's handling servlet to check for an access key sent as an HTTP query parameter. So basically, the service that was exposed at the following URL:
http://localhost/company/service
must now be accessed using the following URL:
http://localhost/company/service?accessKey=123
The filter checks the accessKey parameter and short-circuits the request if the wrong access key is sent.
While this approach works well with JAX-RS web services, it doesn't seem to be working as well with JAX-WS web services: adding the parameter makes WebLogic return a 404 error instead of processing the request. I'm convinced I've seen web services being called with query parameters and that this can be done, but I don't see how. Any ideas anyone?
Cheers!

It seems that the servlet generated by Workshop doesn't handle extra parameters too well. I've managed to get it working by tweaking the filter so that it lets WSDL retrieval requests pass through but still filters the other requests. Everything is working fine.

• SOAP Help Building Request With Nested Tags

I have been struggling with Apache SOAP to try and build a request. Specifically, I don't understand how to embed these elements into the Header and Body sections. More specifically, how to do this nested tags.
Thanks for any advice you can provide.
Below, is a sample of the request I need to send to the server.
<SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
<SOAP-ENV:Header>
<ContinueHeader xmlns="http://www.openuri.org/2002/04/soap/conversation/">
<uniqueID>111111111111111</uniqueID>
</ContinueHeader>
</SOAP-ENV:Header>
<SOAP-ENV:Body>
<subscribe xmlns="http://xxxx/xxxx/xxxx/service">
<comHdr>
<WSCredentials>
<UserName>xxxxxxx</UserName>
<Password>xxxxxxxx</Password>
</WSCredentials>
</comHdr>
</subscribe>
</SOAP-ENV:Body>
</SOAP-ENV:Envelope>

I can add the <UserName>xxxxxxx</UserName> <Password>xxxxxxxx</Password> to the body of the request using:
Vector parms = new Vector();
parms.addElement(new Parameter("UserName", String.class, username, null));
parms.addElement(new Parameter("Token", String.class, password, null));
call.setParams(parms);I just don't know how to add those tags within the <comHdr> and <WSCredentials> tags.

• Null values in Weblogic 7 HTTP Request Parameters

It appears weblogic 7 handles nulls passed from the request object
differently than the previous versions. In my jsp's, if a parameter
was not passed, I used to get a java null value:
String s = request.getParameter("something_not_passed");
if(s == null) {
//do stuff
Now, weblogic seems to return the string literal "null" so I would
have to use:
if(s.equals("null")) {
//do stuff
Is this a bug or am I missing something?
Thanks,
Paul

HI, Thanks for the reply. I am using getString() to fetch values.
DO u think its due to driver incompatibility?? Because, BEA claims WL7.0 supports
Oracle 8.1.7 onwards!
Thanks,

Thanks,
YogeshHi. This sounds like a driver bug. Let's isolate it to a simple standalone
program
that uses our driver to select null data. How are you asking for the object?
GetString(),

• Reading POST-Request-Parameter-Values from WebDynPro now possible?

Hello,
in the past I always was disappointed that in WebDynPro there was no way to read POST-request-parameter-values directly after the call of a WebDynPro-Application.
The only (documented) way to read / transfer request-data into an WebDynPro-application was via "URL query string parameters" in the request URL.
The last week I forgot this restriction. I called my WebDynPro-application using a POST-Request-Parameter (cookie_guid) instead of an URL-parameter.
After noticing my mistake, I was really surprised that the WebDynPro could read / shows the the POST-Request-Value.
I didn't make any changes in the coding of my WebDynPro-Application (zvis_show_sso_cookie).
After this cognition I built the following simple HTML-formular to analyse the behavior of the WebyDynPro by calling it with an URL-Parameter (cookie_guid=Url-GUID) together with the POST-Parameter (cookie_guid = Post-Value-GUID).
After calling the WebyDynPro it reads / shows the "POST-Value" of the request !!!
(Remark: If I made a simple refresh or type directly the URL "http://hg10762.vis-extranet.de:1080/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/zvis_show_sso_cookie?sap-language=DE&cookie_guid=Url-GUID" in the browser, the same webdynpro reads / shows the URL-Parameter-Value).

Cookie_GUID:

My questions:
I there any documentation that describes the behavior of WebDynPro after calling it by using POST-Parameter values?
I believe in the past it wasn't possible to read POST-request-parameter-values in WD. Has SAP changed the functionality?
Is the behavior I described in my example above mandatory?
Regards
Steffen

As far as i know in general HTTP request GET method is standard but in SAP POST is standard. All the client request is passed as POST to the server in order to avoid the URL parameter length restriction in GET method.

• How to pass request parameter to bounded task flow?

Hi, this is probably a simple question, but just not sure how this should be done. I have a .jspx that contains an ADF region for a bounded task flow. The task flow has a required input parameter, e.g. objectId. I want to be able to pass a request parameter that's sent into the .jspx page to the task flow. For example, Test.jspx?id=123 should pass 123 for the objectId input parameter of the task flow.
When adding the ADF region to the page, the Edit Task Flow Binding dialog prompted for a value for the objectId input parameter. I wasn't sure what I can put for the value so I just hard-coded something like 123 for now. So in the page definition file, sometihng like the following got added:
<taskFlow id="testtaskflow1"
taskFlowId="/WEB-INF/taskflow/test/test-task-flow.xml#test-task-flow"
activation="deferred"
xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/controller/binding">
<parameters>
<parameter id="objectId" value="123"/>
</parameters>
</taskFlow>I'm wondering is there some EL expression I can use for the parameter value that gets the value of the id request parameter passed into the .jspx? Thanks.

you have to use it like.. #{bean.idValue} and in the getter of the id Value use it like
private int idValue;
//setter
//getter
public int getIdValue(){
HttpServletRequest request =
(HttpServletRequest)FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext().getRequest();
int id = request.getParameter("id");
return id;
}
