Software update problem : updates not found on 8088

Hello,
I recently found that when I performed an update on my clients they always reported Up to date. I then made them point to Apple's software update and they found that Itunes and a performance update was necessary.
So I tried to find what was wrong. My server seems to have downloaded all the latest updates (including ITunes and the performance update).
I disabled SoftwareUpdate and reenabled it.
Now my clients can't even connect to my Software Update server : the bar stays fix for a really long time.
When I look at the logs from my server : I see that a few products can't be downloaded :
Product 061-7024 will not be available for installation.
Unable to download or create .smd file for product
But maybe the main problem is that when I try to contact http://myserver:8088/
I dont see anything and when I try http://myserver:8088/index.sucatalog it begins to open the file but displays only the file's beginning. It keeps downloading the rest of the file really slowly (I think that's what makes the bar stays fix when I try to update).
Any clue ?

Hello again,
After a few more tests, I noted this.
Before restarting Software update, new updates weren't visible to clients.
After restarting Software update : Clients unable to connect to Software Update Server : bar stays fix for a very long time. In fact it appears to be a really slow connection to the server. After a few minutes the available updates appear (ITunes and Performance update). If I click to install them. Downloading begins but it's very slow 1k/s approximately.
I tried to untick Bandwidth limitation that was set to 1Mo/s. And after restarting Software Update, surprise : my clients can connect to SUS, see the new updates and download them at LAN speed.
Why did it work before ?
I tried to reset Bandwidth limitation to 1024k/s to see if it makes any difference. Yes when it's set, SUS doesn't work.
So really painful to work with this, almost no options to fine tune the update server and it's better to let all to defaults to avoid problems it seems.

    I tried manually browing to my top mirror in Firefox and had the same problem.  It's only for this one file though.  The rest of the packages that were marked for upgrade downloaded succesfully.  Try going here first:
    http://mirror.us.leaseweb.net/archlinux … os/x86_64/
    You can scroll down and see catalyst-dkms-12.9-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz on the list but when you try to click it:
    http://mirror.us.leaseweb.net/archlinux … pkg.tar.xz
    404 error
    EDIT: Actually after letting pacman sit for a minute, I got this:
    catalyst-dkms-12.9-... 4.2 KiB 64.0K/s 00:00 [######################] 100%
    (14/14) checking package integrity [######################] 100%
    error: failed to commit transaction (invalid or corrupted package)
    Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.
    Obviously 4.2KB is too small for this package.  I'm really not sure what's going on here.
    EDIT 2: Before anyone suggests it, I did try force refreshing the database multiple times (pacman -Syy)

    I had just a similar issue with freeglut. When this happens, an update is probably in progress. Just wait a few minutes or try a different mirror. In my case it was sufficient to use the US mirror of Leaseweb (http://mirror.us.leaseweb.net/archlinux/$repo/os/$arch). I am able to download the catalyst DKMS package now, try again?

  • Air update - initial content not found

    I had a working AIR-Project using this configuration:
    Win 7 64 bit
    Flex SDK 4.0.0
    AIR 1.5.3
    However, I needed to include a C++ library in the project and therefore update to AIR 2.0 or newer (at least I was told AIR 1.5 does not support calling native processes or C++ libraries).
    I tried updating both, the AIR version only or the Flex SDK including a newer AIR version - however, all update atempts led to the following error:
    Process terminated unexpectedly.
    initial content not found
    Launch command details:  "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4\sdks\4.5.0\bin\adl.exe" -runtime "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4\sdks\4.5.0\runtimes\air\win" "<root>\TestAirVersion\bin-debug\TestAirVersion-app.xml" "<root>\TestAirVersion\bin-debug"
    As you can see the above error occured using Flex SDK 4.5.0 and AIR 2.5.0 - but a similar error is thrown by any configuration above AIR 2.0 (both in Flash Builder or by calling the ADL manually).
    The project descriptor was updated (<application xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/air/application/2.5">) and the SDKs were put in the Adobe Flash Builder4\sdks\xxx directory - did I miss something? (the project above is an empty test-project!)
    I also discovered that the AIR runtimes 2.0 and later include a Template.exe and a template.msi in the \Resources\ directory. If I run these, I get a
    Source file not found: C\ <...> \Resources\REPLACE. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.
    Error (template.msi) - Template.exe leads to an invalid-application error - are these supposed to work?
    Thanks in advance!

    Ok formated with hp tool put the  7680vJ0.exe  and got       updating bios .......bios file not found! no dos prompt if I could get to the dos prompt I thin I could flash maualy with FUDE238.EXE
    Yup. That would probably work. I don't know. Not sounding good. Is there a reasonable priced pc shop in your area that has an SPI flash programming device that could flash the chip for you?

  • ACR update fails-"product not found"

    I have PSE 6/mac & LR.  I get an Adobe Updater notification of ACR 4.6 but when clicked to install, it comes back with error message essentially saying 'the product to be updated can't be found'.  It also says something about this being an update for CS3 which I don't have but perhaps is what is 'under the hood' of PSE6 (?).
    I just want to do the update or get it to stop asking to upgrade every day or two if, in fact, I don't have this as part of PSE 6.
    Thanks.

    PSE can never auto update ACR. Go here:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=40&platform=Macintosh
    download the 5.5 update and manually install it, following the directions EXACTLY. Be sure to remove the old plug-in first.
    Also, PSE 6 is based on CS3, which is why you see that wording in the message.

  • Gensplash problem (fbconsole not found)

    Hi,
    I have recently started to play with gensplash: rebuilded my kernel, installed gensplashutils, etc. But I still can't get gensplash to work perfectly... I used google (wich found nothing), even tried to edit initscripts manualy, but that didn't work either. The problems are:
    (1). When I change splash kernel option from verbose to silent, I get just black background and no pictures, jus text like it would not be any splash.:?:
    (2). When I install initscripts-gensplash package I get loads of /usr/bin/fgconsole not found errors (wich I AM SURE it is there). And spalsh comes up only after some time, when init starts. Strange...
    I am totally lost here (so I am posting this to newbie forum, because this can be stupid problems  ).
    Any help on the subject would be greately appreciated.
    ::UPDATE:
    Somehow I got silent splash to work, but I stil get those fgconsole errors.

    Hi
    I think you forgot the manifest file to tell the bean builder that Test.class is a Bean.
    Write a file with this content and cll it i.e. manifest.tmp:
    Name: Test.class
    Java-Bean: True
    Then put the class file in the jar file:
    jar cfm Test.jar manifest.tmp Test.class
    Like this it should work

  • Mindstorm software conflict "resource files not found"

    Hi All,
    my apologies if this is addressed elsew in the forum - searched but did not find any entries.
    I am co-teaching a robotics class to middle school students (Lego FLL) and a class to the high school students using LabView 2009 + Lego kit. After installing the Labview environment I (as well as my co-teachers) can no longer run the Mindstorms software. THe error reported is bout resource files not found.
    Co any one shed some light on how to have both environments co-exist on the same laptop?
    Many thanks

    Hi there. Not a problem.  This is probably a known conflict between MINDSTORMS 1.0 and LabVIEW.  It can be fixed easily.  Please see http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/4B0C1BBDA9CFEBE7862573D0005D93C4
    This might have also affected MINDSTORMS 1.1 but I can't recall.

  • Migration to 11.1.2.2 problem, ApplicationModule not found.

    Hi Guys,
    After migrating our existing oracle ADF application from version 11.1.1.3 to the new version 11.1.2.2 we faced the below error on several screens. It seems that for different reasons we are loosing the application module without even having any error in the error log, then afterward whatever we do (ex: query a view that exist in the app module or call a function that exist in the app module or …….) we receive the below error.
    Note that for migration we opened and compiled the code on the version 11.1.1.4 then we went directly to the version 11.1.2.2, this is the certified way from oracle (check the link below)
    [http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/jdev11gr2-cert-405181.html#Migration]
    So I guess the question is:
    1) did anyone out there face this issue???
    2) Is our migration path wrong???
    3) Does anyone migrated successfully so far????
    Thanks guys,

    Hi,
    if the application module runs in the tester then you can exclude the business service as the source of the problem. In this case have a look in the DataBindings.cpx file and the view controller project dependencies. E.g. if you added the ADF BC reference as a ADF library, check this library. If you have a project dependency, check this and compile the ADF model sources.
    If this doesn't help, the best recommendation is to work with customer support on how to reproduce this issue

  • Jms problem - queue not found

    Hi
    I have a simple bpel process that's supposed to read a message from a queue and put a message back on the same queue using the JmsAdapter. When I deploy the process, the log says that java:comp/resource/ojmstest/Queues/demoQueue can not be found:

    In my global application.xml, I have:
    <resource-provider class="oracle.jms.OjmsContext" name="ojmstest">
    <description>OJMS/AQ</description>
    <property name="url" value="jdbc:oracle:thin:@eros.goldi.no:1521:orcl"/>

    <property name="password" value="jmsuser"/>
    </resource-provider>
    In oc4j-ra.xml, I have:
    <connector-factory location="eis/aqjms/Queue" connector-name="Jms Adapter">
    <config-property name="connectionFactoryLocation" value="java:comp/resource/ojmstest/QueueConnectionFactories/myQCF"/>
    <config-property name="factoryProperties" value=""/>
    <config-property name="acknowledgeMode" value="AUTO_ACKNOWLEDGE"/>

    <config-property name="isTransacted" value="true"/>
    <config-property name="username" value="jmsuser"/>
    <config-property name="password" value="jmsuser"/>
    </connector-factory>
    I have checked that demoQueue exists in the database.
    Any ideas?
    André

    Hi
    I managed to get it to work now on a different database.
    I probably didn't grant all the necessary rights to my jmsuser.
    Thanks,

  • New software instruments installed but not found to use

    Help please
    I have downloaded 3 new AMG expansion, synth and power packs in garageband 08' running on a g5 with leopard os and though they appear on the HD where they should (HD/library/garageband/instrument library/sampler/sampler instrument) they are not found once inside garageband-new software track instruments.
    Why is this happening and how can newly installed software instruments appear for use inside a track?
    Thanks!

  • Problem  : applet not found for installation

    After downloading cap file i try to create applet instance and select it.My script file that i send to apdutool look like this
    powerup;
    //then select the installer applet using this command
    0x00 0xa4 0x04 0x00 0x09 0xa0 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x62 0x03 0x01 0x08 0x01 0x7f;
    //then create wallet instance as
    0x80 0xb8 0x00 0x00 0x0b 0x09 [here wallet applet AID]
    //then select the wallet applet
    0x00 0xa4 0x04 0x00 lc [here wallet applet aid that i specify while converting to cap file]
    powerdown;
    when i send this script file to jcre then for select installer applet sw1 sw2 is 9000 but for second apdu command means creation applet returns apdu response that is 6443 means applet not found for installation and similarly third apdu command responses is not proper
    i don't know where is problem bcoz the script file that i create from scriptgen tool by giving cap file as input runs properly by jcre but when after appending my own apdu commands e.g. create applet,debit or credit then apdu responses r not valid.................plz help me that why all this happened
    thanks

    To use the JCRE you are running the reference implementation. That tool needs you to download the CAP file and the CAP components. That's provided in the results from the scriptgen tool.
