Solution Packager vs Configuration Express Wizard

Can anyone explain the difference between these two tools, and point me in the right direction to find them?

It doesn't appear to be true, no.
The Configuration Express Wizard was / is a tool downloadable from the SDN, where the Solution Packager is provided by SAP with the installer packages.
This would indicate they are different tools.
I am trying to work out what the practical applications of these might be

I've tried all links given here, but none of them are working properly. I've tried saving and opening, but either way I got a corrupted file.

I actually have CEW, but I think it is the old version, so I'm getting the following message:

[Solved]Upgrade pacman 4.1 - no usable package repositories configured

Hi, i am another guy who fail with upgrade pacman 4.1
I has pacman 4.0.3-7 and for some dependancy (like yaourt), i need pacman 4.1
He wasn't in system update, so i download it from git : git clone git://projects.archlinux.org/pacman.git pacman
sh ./autogen.sh
./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var --enable-doc
make -j8
sudo make install
And now, i got this error
sudo pacman -Syu
error: no usable package repositories configured.
I backup my /etc/pacman.conf and use the new one like this topic : https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 7#p1254497
I check the version :
Pacman v4.1.0 - libalpm v8.0.0
I try to upgrade my DB
sudo /usr/local/bin/pacman-db-upgrade
==> ERROR: /usr/local/var/lib/pacman/ is not a pacman database directory.
The only solution i found right now is reinstalling arch linux o.0

Why would you do that? Why would you not use pacman to upgrade/install pacman, or any other package for that matter?
Honestly, this was such a bad idea that I'm finding it difficult to keep myself from berating you with inappropriate language (some of which I instinctively blurted out when I read your post).

pacman-db-upgrade is a transition tool to convert pacman 3.x databases to pacman 4.x databases. Is there some guide that told you to use that to update the database?
I pride myself on trying to be helpful on the forum, but you do not seem to have any idea of how package management works on Arch Linux. This is all covered in the wiki and on the forum. I really do not mean to be rude, but I believe that you would be better off with something else as you seem to just be naively trying random shit.
If you really want to clean up the mess that you've made, uninstall the manually installed pacman, remove whatever AUR apps you have installed that prevent you from upgrading via pacman, then rebuild and re-install those apps after the upgrade.
I also suspect that you are using Archbang or some other distro given that you seem to be new to the distro yet already have yaourt installed. If this is the case then you should direct yourself to their forum. This forum is for Arch Linux.

Solution Packager is missing from SBO v9.1 PL:05 HANA version

Dear SAP Gurus
I did a full extract of both the Full Install install and Upgrade version of the SBO v9.1 PL:05 for HANA, the Solution Packager seems to be missing.
Did anybody else notice this?
Any workarounds on how to download this.
I noticed that the Solution Packager shipped with the SQL version doesnt have the HANA db type during login
any ideas?

Okay. Thanks. I found out that all of the add-ons are compatible.
I read the SAP note:
Symptom
If a company DB is firstly upgraded to 2007A SP0 PL 49 from 2007A SP0 PL
46, PL 47, or PL 48 , then it is upgraded to SAP Business One 8.8 from
2007A SP0 PL 49 with the upgrade wizard, the precheck will report errors in
the step of database structure check. In the log file generated by upgrade
wizard, you can find the following 2 strings:
"OTPI: Column #13 [Series] def. value is different; should be , is: 0"
"OTSI: Column #13 [Series] def. value is different; should be , is: 0"
Such issue also applies to the demo DBs in 2007A SP0 PL 49.

With that said, I'm assuming I have to upgrade to 2007 SP01 PL00 before upgrading to 8.8? and which PL level of 8.8 should I upgrade to first?

SAP Solution Packager

I am testing SAP Solution Packager for future possible use in company template setup.
I am trying to package a solution for an SAP solution configuration we have developed in a Canadian Localization company. When I use the Solution Packager however, in Step 2, there is no Canadian Localization in the selection list to choose from. Choosing a US localization only allows me to select the US companies for packaging in my solution. How do I package a solution for a Canadian localization company?

I found an SAP presentation from Dec 2009 which says that Solution Packager can build packages for the following localizations: Australia/New Zealand, Brazil, Germany, Spain, France, United Kingdom, India, Italy, Mexico, United States.

Cannot install full solution package for 2600n in Windows 7

I have downloaded and run the Full Solution Package (hp_CLJ_2600n_Full_Solution-v20110217-50132926-RC5-Signed) for the Color Laserjet 2600n Printer networked to my Windows 7 computer. The Plug and Play Driver installed properly but when I try to install the Full Solution, I receive:
The printer installation failed. Please try the following steps after you click Close.
1. Ensure the USB cable is disconnected from the printer.
2. Uninstall.
3. Rerun the CD install software.
There is no USB cable (it is TCP/IP). I do not see anything to uninstall in add/remove programs. What is the solution to this installation. I must note that the printer does work with the new driver. There is a problem in that messages from the printer do not popup. I get a dialog instead from the Interactive Services Detection service.

Sap solution manager optimizer configuration error

I have installed solution manager 4.0, patch is updated upto the level of optimizer configuration. I have configured sap router on the same solution manager machine.
now i am in solution manager optimizer configuration in that i am doing it with an user of having sap_all rights
in t code sm59 -> sap-oss connection test is good
now through t code solution_manager i have created an new active solution of sandbox land scape and through t code smsy i have created an logical component of sap ecc and i have added the user basis which iam using for soman optimizer configuration thru t code aisuser
but now if i go to t code solution_manager if i click on sandbox landscape -> change management -> support packs -> then click on maintenance optimizer it shows as no system
and also in product version also no available its showing
i dont know where i went wrong in my solman optimizer configuration

when a solution package is deactivated the web scope features over all sub website gone deactivated and does not re-activated when solution package is activated.
we have couples of sub webs to activate web features manually that should be activated when a solution package is activated.
all sub webs are created by custom web templates onet.xml.

I can think of three different solution (all custom solution)
Use Powershell Cmdlet to activate feature to all sub sites
Upgrade your solution to Site Collection scope, However all subsites under the root will have access to the features, which you may want to restrict based on your requirement
create a site scoped solution feature to activate the web scoped features, this will give you more control and easier management of all your features

Import Solution Package (WSP) 2013 using VS 2012

Anyone working/worked on SharePoint 2013 solution using VS 2012?
I am trying to Import Solution Package (WSP) using VS 2012, but VS 2012 doesn't allow to import the solution. It throws an error with message saying that SharePoint Foundation/Server 2013 need to be installed on local system.
I have also installed MS Office Developer tool for VS 2012, but VS still throws an error while Importing Solution Package.
Please suggest steps to import WSP in VS 2012..

I have a MOSS 2007 farm and I have 2 TFS 2010 SharePoint extension solution package (WSP) installed and working properly for a while now.
Microsoft.TeamFoundation.SharePoint.Dashboards.wsp and Microsoft.TeamFoundation.SharePoint.wsp
The Application team is going to upgrade their TFS 2010 server to TFS 2012 and want me to installed the new TFS 2012 SharePoint WSP solution to our MOSS farm.
My Question is that do I have to uninstall TFS 2010 solution package first or can I installed the new TFS 2012 solution packages in addition and both TFS 2010 and TFS 2012 solution package will co-exist and will work properly?
the reason i want to do this is making sure all existing TFS 2010 will still work. My concern is if I have to uninstall TFS 2010 solution just to get TFS 2012 solution then run into problem with existing TFS 2010 projects.

Once Configured Express is no Longer Configuring

I was running Airport Express (AE)to play music through my main base station. I had the green light and it played faultlessly for months, even from some distance. My son did something which I thought had interfered with the AE, as it stopped playing. Actually he had just turned off the Airport via the Finder Bar at the top of the screen. By this time I was in the middle of a hard reset. I finished the hard reset and tried to configure the AE but found now I cannot play iTunes through the existing network. Itunes sees the AE on the menubar, but when selected I get the spinning pizza and then it revertes to 'Computer'. Once the AE has been configured to an existing network you cannot change the settings via Airport Admin Utility or Airport Setup Assist you have to do a hard reset.
When the AE is given it's own network it plays iTunes but with a flashing amber light( the falshing amber light is it's usual display, unless I am reseting). The signal is so poor, however, it keeps cutting out even over a few meters and is enough drive you mad.
All software and firmware is up to date I have tried all resets but nothing seems to work. Has anyone got any ideas or it time to ditch?

I had something similar with my APX. I was running it for Airtunes only as a client on my non-Airport wireless box. A short while after the 6.3 firmware update, it started freezing up. Soft resets had no effect and it would freeze up if I tried to administer it. My solution has been to revert to the 6.1 firmware and it has been fine since then, but I miss having the simultaneous sound from iMac and speakers around the house. I am also concerned that this has happened in the first place!

Unable to configure express via airport admin utility

After much faffing around I finally got my airport express to connect to my existing network and even got the little speaker button to show up in itunes (hooorah) but then it asked me if I wanted to update the firmware so I said yes and then it all went 't*ts up' and I never got airport utility to read the configuration again even after resetting ?
Anybody got any helpful advice ?

I think that the resetting alone solved your issue, because I am having the same problem without ever upgrading to the new firmware. My Airport Express is working fine, but I wanted to check the settings, so I opened the Utility program. It asked me if I wanted to updated the firmware, and I hit cancel.
The Utility see my AX and can get the basic info, but I get the same -6753 error when trying to read the configuration of the AX.
I will try the resetting procedure, but I don't think the firmware is the issue here, since I have the old firmware with the same problem.
