Solution to problems loging in to Outlook Web Access (solution here)
Hey all, i had to share. From what I've read a lot of people, including me are having problems loging into their Outlook Web Access pages. Just like many, mine would connect, ask for my login/pass and then just sit there trying to load the page. Here's the solution:
Instead of going to: email.companyname.com/exchange
point iPhone Safari to: email.companyname.com/oma
I think that's a cell phone, low bandwith/txt only version, which still lets you access all the info that the usual OWA lets you access.
But the extra tip is, that if after going to the "oma" site, you point Safari to the "/exchange" site--for some reason it will work.
Hope this helps everyone.
We found this was the solution as well. Its strange but it works.
Once you get logged into OMA (text only version) then it goes into OWA (graphical version) without any problems.
Great find.

Problems with Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access and any web browser
My university e-mail goes through Microsoft Office Outlook and I access it through the Web Access.
I have tried with 3 browsers (Chromium, Firefox and Gnome's Web, and with all of them I am getting the same problems.
Basically, once I log in, the css seems to be screwed sometimes (not always). I click in a e-mail to read it, and it does nothing (not always), I write an e-mail, click send, and it gives me a white screen error (not always), and then it is not even saved as draft.
I have this errors like 70% of the time, or more, which means that every time I want just to read an e-mail, I spend 5 minutes reloading the website, singing out, clearing cookies,... until eventually all seems to load correctly.
No idea how I can fix this, or how I can get this to work.
thank you!The light version is set by default, and I cannot choose the non-light.
I assume it makes some kind of "webbrower check id", and mine sends whatever linux like id, which the server doesn't recognize, and it screwes me -
Mail: cannot change the outlook web access
Hello,
I need to change the outlook web access, but the system is automatically reconfiguring it any time i do. For this reason, i am not able to connect to my outlook mail. Any ideas how to solve the problem?
The automatic outlook web access is webmail.XXX.XXX and what i would need is: https://webmail.xxx.xxx/exchange
Thank you for any helpHi there!
OWA configuration is very tricky...I know that I was never able to configure mine via my device interface to BIS. Only by using a PC/browser to my carriers BIS site was I successful. Here is the list of carrier BIS sites:

And here is the KB with specific OWA instructions -- follow them very very carefully:

Dear Microsoft Support,
As mentioned in the title,
I have two domains. One is Domain A at HQ. The other one is Domain A at branch office. A laptop having Win 7 Pro OS is a client of Domain A. The Domain A has Exchange Server 2003. Users of Domain B get connected to Exchange Server for email services. In
all clients of the Domain B, IP address of the email server added in C:\Windows\System 32\drivers\etc\host file.
Whereas in the clients of Domain A it was not done, because all the servers including the email server belong to the Domain A.
Now, a user with Domain A's client (it is a laptop) came to Branch office and wanted to access the Outlook (using Outlook Web Access). since there is no IP address added in the Host file of the laptop, connectivity to email is not possible. When I try to
add the IP address, I was not able to do so due to Domain A's security reasons.
So, let me know, is there a way out to add the IP address in the host file of the Domain A's client.
Thanks in advance.
Ravi Sekhar ModukuruI would suggest adding the mailserver address in Domain B's DNS. Would that be possible?
I agree. The correct solution in this case (since it appears you already have a two-way Domain Trust in place) is to properly configure DNS in Domain 'B' to be a secondary of Domain 'A' and completely eliminate the need to maintain the HOSTS file.

Safari 4.0.3 problems with MS Outlook Web Access
I am constantly prompted for my password in MS Outlook Web Access since I upgraded to 4.0.3. This was a minimal problem previously; each time I logged in I would have to enter my password a few times and then be done with it. Now, almost any time I click on ANYTHING I am prompted for my password. Checking the box for 'Remember this password in my keychain' has never had any affect. I'm rather computer illiterate, but I'm willing to try any suggestions! Thanks!
I have a feeling it's a problem with Apple's javascript. I've also posted a thread here showing that it doesn't work properly with javascript if multiple tabs are open.
This wouldn't be a "fix"... but it might be worth a try to close all other tabs and see if it works when only one tab is open & then try it again with multiple tabs open and see if that breaks it.
At least then we'll know we've got a pattern here similar to my issue. I have a feeling the only way this'll get fixed is if Apple gets a head's up and fixes it themselves in Safari. -

We installed a new Exchange 2007 CAS on Windows 2008R2. Got rid of old CAS on Exchange 2007. Now seeing this error. Does anyone have an idea??Hi,
If the issue persists, I recommend you install Exchange 2007 SP3 RU7 and check the result. Also, ensure that Exchange 2010 SP2 RU1 or later version is installed. Old Exchange version may lead to the CAS-to-CAS proxy incompatibility.
What's more, here are some helpful blogs for your reference.

Safari 5.0 problems attaching document in email (Outlook web access)
We have Windows Server 2008, and Exchange 2010 (since January).
I recently upgraded to Safari 5.0 on Mac, and when I try to attach a file to an email in Outlook Web access (to our Exchange server), it freezes Safari 5.0.
This does not occur in Safari 4.x (I tried it on a computer not upgraded to Safari 5).
Safari 5.0 in Windows won't freeze, but it doesn't let me attach the file either (the interface to attaching the file is bugged, does not completely display once a file is selected).
I am NOT using Yahoo, and don't have the browser plugin that has been reported as the problem for that similar issue.HI,
From the Safari Menu Bar click Safari/Preferences then select the Security tab. Click: Show Cookies
Delete all Outlook/Microsoft cookies. Relaunch Safari and try attaching a file.
If that doesn't help, go to ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari and move the "cache.db" file to the Trash.
Note. ~ (Tilde) character represents your Home Folder.
Relaunch Safari and try again. If that didn't help ...
Go to the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari/Preferences. Make note of all the preferences under each tab. Quit Safari. Now go to ~/Library/Preferences and move this file com.apple.safari.plist to the Desktop.
Relaunch Safari and see if that makes a difference. If not, move the .plist file back to the Preferences folder. If Safari functions as it should, move that .plist file to the Trash.
And if you haven't repaired permissions after updating Safari, it would be beneficial to do so.
Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

Hi,
At work we recently were asked to give email addresses so that work emails could be accessed at home via the internet and outlook web access.
The problem I am having is that keychain access does not seem to be able to remember the password, and keeps asking for it over and over again during the session, despite my checking the "remember this password in my keychain" box. . Keychain access works fine for other sites; I did keychain first aid, and deleted all the keychains and started over; didn't help.
thanks-Hi ..
MIght be a cookies, cache, or extensions proble.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Then delete the cache.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that didn't help, from the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall. -

Checking email from site that use Outlook Web Access Lite
I just got a Blackberry 8330 and need to use it for checking email from my company's email server.
It turns out that this server uses Outlook Web Access lite. I am currently not able to check the mail as I am
getting errors that say the browser needs to accept cookies. Also something about scripting.
Does anybody know how to work around this problem?
I don't want to "integrate" this email account so that I get the messages pushed to the Blackberry- only to be able to
access the email site and check the email.
Solutions Please!
Solved!
Go to Solution.Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
It might not actually be a cookie problem...since I don't access OWA in the way you want (I do integrate it via BIS...very slick!), I can only guess.
From within the Browser, click the BBKey and select Options. Inside of there are a ton of different options, including one that lets your BB browser identify to a website as IE, FF, or BB...the default being, of course, BB. If you change that to IE, you might have more luck. That setting is in the Browser Configuration screen and is usually called Browser Identification.
There are also many other settings that may be helpful...basically you need to fiddle around with these until you find the combination that works right for your specific situation. But I'd try the Browser ID/Emulation first.
Cheers!

Outlook Web Access, BB Bold 9000 and deleting emails
Good afternoon:
I have a BB 9000 which is my first BB. My work uses Outlook Web Access hosted on IP provider's site via their Microsoft Exchange Server.
I have successfully connected the BB to Outlook Web Access , so I get emails and can read and reply. However, I have two problems and hope someone has a solution. I have tried elsewhere with no luck.
1. I delete emails on the BB, but even though I have selected to delete both on the "mailbox and handheld," it never does. I still have the same long list of emails waiting for me when I get to the office.
2. When I send an email from the BB, it will NOT attach a signature, even though I have one set up at Outlook Web Access and on the BB itself. It won't even say "sent from my BB."
Has anyone solved these problems already? I appreciate your advice. Thanks.Hi there, try doing the following.
Go into your Settings folder and select Email Settings. Log in to your BIS account if required, then select your work email account. Ensure that you have your signature entered there. If it's blank, that's why you're emails are not including your signature. You will need to fill that in. Then click on the setting for Synchronization Options and ensure that the option for Deleted Items is checked. Once that's done, save the settings, and exit out. Everything should then be working correctly.
If that doesn't help or you are not certain about a step, let us know exactly where you're having troubles, but I have a feeling that should resolve things for you.

Outlook Web Access will only log in as Light Version
My office has been using Microsoft Exchange Outlook Web Access for longer than a year at least. We have been using the full version. We have a desktop operating Windows 7 with the most updated IE browser, and my computer a Windows 8 laptop with the
most updated IE browser. My lap top is where the problem is. As of about two days ago the OWA is only logging in as the Light version. There is an option on the log in screen that says "Use Outlook Web Access Light" and the box is checked and grayed
out so that I can not uncheck it. I did not check this myself it just happened. Also the setting for blind and vision impaired users is not checked off in the accessibility tab under options. I have checked the Windows 7 desktop and it is functioning
normally. It allows the user to check or uncheck the "use outlook web access light" at will and does not get stuck in Light version. Also please note that this is the same email address for both computers not multiple users
where one works and one doesn't. I am charged to monitor the email in our office and do it from the laptop but there is access to it on the desktop if the other employee needs access. I have also seen forums where they say to
change the server to say OWAPremiumClientEnabled. I do not know how to do this. If this is a possible solution please give me steps on how to access the server which i don't even know if i am connected to.What kind of help do you need?
If Outlook Web App opens just in a light version, you have to update your Exchange Server to resolve this issue.
Also you can temporarily add the URL/Domain to the Compatibility List as said Martina_Miskovic. -
VLAN on RVS4000 disables access to Remote Web Workplace, Outlook Web Access
I have an RVS4000 setup with a VLAN to a wireless "guest" network, guest network is 192.168.1.x, internal network is 10.0.0.x both have Internet access, and cannot see each other, exactly what I wanted. The only problem is that either from the internal network or the guest network I can no longer access the Remote Web Workplace - https://mail.mydomain.com/remote or Outlook Web Access https://mail.mydomain.com/exchange fails with page not found. Internally I can access via \\server\remote and \\server\exchange but of course this does not work for the guest network. We have Small Business Server 2003. External access if fine. I'm assuming this is some kind of routing issue but not sure how to fix. Thanks.

Cannot press SEND / NEW MAIL button in MS Outlook Web Access
I am completely upset after updating the iphone os 4.1 because i cannot simply send email using the MS outlook web access. FYI I can still view the email but cannot send. my company doesnt allow me to use the POP (similar to yahoo) for security reason and hence i must need to use the webmail (via internet).
moreover, my wife just bought another one which is still under 4.01 but her phone can do. what's the problem? can i convert back to 4.01 or my phone has problem? pls help. thanks!Solution (found by searching forum for "Safari Crashes"):
Settings > Safari > Autofill > Names & Passwords "Set to OFF".
Then choose "Continue" the next time. You've lost your password fill-in but at least you can log in. -
Error Setting up Email - Outlook Web Access
I have had my work emails on my Blackberry for the last few months. Yesterday it asked me validate my account.
I re-entered my password, but it said it couldn't connect, password/details were incorrect.
I have deleted the account, and tried to add it back in - but still comes with the same error. I can access Outlook Web Access on my laptop, so the connection details are definitely correct, but it wont let me link to my phone any more? Any suggestions?
Not sure if this is linked to the problems this week, and therefore may work once everything is back to normal, or if there is another error?
My Hotmail is still linked and is working fine.
Thanks
Garethhmm.. I understand.. pretty strange, I'm sure some interruptions had occured from the server it self.. unless, it won't invalidate ur account just for the sake..
all I can say is to call you operator who gives you the service and ask them to add the account by giving your OWA details as the BIS account portal, you cannot put additional informations rather than the username & pass, I assume...
