[SOLVED] Audacious displays incorrect song times

For seemingly random songs, Audacious displays the correct time when I load them on the playlist - but when I click on it and it starts playing (let's say a 4 minute song) the song time will suddenly change to something like 26 minutes...  o_O  For other songs, this doesn't happen at all.  Very odd.

Try to toggle "Enable fast play-length calculation" in MPEG audio plugin properties.

  • [Solved] conky displaying incorrect ram usage

    Conky isn't subtracting the cached memory, is there a subtraction function?
    "${mem} - ${cached}"
    displays:
    "1.11Gib - 770.53Mib"
    Is there anyway to show just the value of the actual ram being used?
    $mem just displays the 1.11gib

  • Can you change the volume display at bottom of screen to the song time instead?

    I have just bought a new Ipod Nano and really like it!  The only problem I'm having is when playing songs the bottom of the screen shows the volume level rather than how far it is through the song in time (like the old nanos used to show).  I find it really annoying not knowing at a quick glance how much more of a song is left to play.
    I know this info is displayed by double tapping the screen (although it is only shown temporarily).  Is there a way of changing the volume level icon at the bottom of the screen to display the song time instead?
    Thanks in advance.

    There is not.  You can let Apple know how you feel about it using the form on this page.

  • How to display song times in iPad Music playlists?

    The TL;DR version of this question is in boldface.
    I mostly use my iPad 2 to run my weekly radio online show. I create 3 playlists, each about 54 minutes which allows for ~6 mins of talk each hour.  I pause between songs, to give the weather, community events, etc.
    The problem is that I often need to look at the iPad Music app to see how much time in music I have, and make decisions on whether I have time for all the songs I chose, or if I need to skip some, or even add some depending on how chatty I have been.  The iOS 7 version of Music no long displays the song times, just the song title, artist and album.
    Is there a way to change what information is displayed?  I am less interested in the album name than I am the song length.
    I have tried many other music apps and none that I have found work for the way I work, and most do not display the song lengths either.  But I am open to suggestions for other apps. I have tried Groove, PartyMonster, Traktor DJ, DJ Player, Wireless DJ, Engine, Bongiovi DPS, Audiophile and a few others.

    I wasn't clear.  The song lengths do not display in PLAYLIST view.  Please help.

  • How to display song time in minutes/seconds??

    I know that there is a very simple answer to this however, I cannot find it...
    Is there a way to display the song time in minutes/seconds rather than SMPTE clock in the transport??
    Thanks

    I guess the closest I can get to a solution is to select "Display Locators as Time" in the transport???
    Yes, unfortunately that seems to be it. I am happy to view a Big bar display for SMPTE as it is more accurate that only minutes and seconds. Looks like that and time in the Bar ruler is the best options for you.

  • The song titles are displayed incorrectly, how do I fix this?

    Ever since an update of itunes a couple of months ago, the titles have been displayed incorrectly in my library. I listen to a lot of Chinese, Korean, and Japanese music and after the update the information turned into squares. I went online and tried the much given solution of converting the id3 tags. This resulted in all my songs (even the english ones) turning to Chinese script when I reversed unicode, which was solved by reversing it again. However after trying all the id3 versions I am now left with a part of my songs being displayed as ?????? and with the other, largest part having the correct names but with the symbol Ƞ spread throughout the titles, which is annoying to say the least.
    Other programmes on my computer display the different scripts just fine, and I have Japanese and Korean installed so as to be able to write it. The songs are also still displayed correctly if I acces them in their folders.
    I am kind of losing hope after trying to find a solution on the internet for a while now, and have even re-installed itunes completely, to no avail.
    If anyone has any suggestions or possible solutions, I'd be very grateful.

    Hi Treenr3,
    Sounds like you have been on the right track with regard to troubleshooting this issue. It may be worth going over the font troubleshooting in the following article, just to double check (it refers to a previous version of iTunes, but the troubleshooting steps should be similar).

    It may also be worth trying some isolation troubleshooting in new test user account with just a couple of the tracks that are having issues to see if it persists.

  • How to display elapsed/current time of a song in Actionscript.

    Hi I have a question on how I can make my code display a total time for a song from a media player I created with Actionscript 3.0, using XML to load the song track.
    This is my current function which I have done and I am unsure on what the problem is that is not allowing the elapsed time to display in a textfield on my stage.
    stage.addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, timeElapsed);
    function timeElapsed(e:Event):void
                        var minutesCurr:Number = Math.floor((my_channel.position /1000) /60);
                        var secondsCurr = Math.floor((my_channel.position /1000) % 60);
            if (secondsCurr < 10)
                secondsCurr = "0" + secondsCurr;
            var minutesTot:Number = Math.floor((my_sound.length /1000) /60);
            var secondsTot = Math.floor((my_sound.length /1000) % 60);
            if (secondsTot < 10)
                secondsTot = "0" + secondsTot;
            completeText_txt.text = minutesCurr + ":" + secondsCurr + "/" + minutesTot + ":" + secondsTot;
    I tried adding to the stage and I am getting a null object reference.
    Thanks Casey

    The 1009 error indicates that one of the objects being targeted by your code is out of scope.  This could mean that the object....
    - is declared but not instantiated
    - doesn't have an instance name (or the instance name is mispelled)
    - does not exist in the frame where that code is trying to talk to it
    - is animated into place but is not assigned instance names in every keyframe for it
    - is one of two or more consecutive keyframes of the same objects with no name assigned in the preceding frame(s).
    If you go into your Publish Settings Flash section and select the option to Permit debugging, your error message should have a line number following the frame number which will help you isolate which object is involved.

  • Display song times in playlists!

    It's very important for me to know song time lengths in the playlists. I use it for a yoga class and it helps me throughout the planning and teaching. Please let us display the times in the lists (they still show up in the albums)! An accurate playlist length would be useful as well.

    Hey
    Playlist length and song length still show for me.
    Underneath the playlist title it shows how long the playlist is.
    To see song times, they should be to the far right of a song title. If you cannot see it, go to VIEW -- > and turn off the friend feed or zoom out the display size so you can see everything

  • IPhone sometimes displays incorrect time!

    It's frustrating having to reset my iphone so that it will then display the correct time. What's causing this and is there some work-around? Otherwise, it's a rather amazing little device. Thanks for any feedback.

    I don't travel that much, so time zones are not an issue. Perfect solution! A million thanks.

  • Creative Zen (16GB Model) showing incorrect song information

    <Creative Zen (6GB Model) showing incorrect song information I was given a Creative Zen for christmas, and I'm very happy with it.
    The only thing is, I've noticed that it seems to occasionally display the wrong title for the song it's playing. I have a playlist called RandomAll which I created using the Media Explorer software. Sometimes, when I look down at the player, I'll notice the wrong song information on screen. Not just the title or anything, but completely wrong information. For example, right now, my player is telling my that a Rihanna song is playing, and gives me all the details for that song (including the extended details if I go into the menu). But the song that's actually playing is a cover of Fraggle Rock by Me First & The Gimme Gimmes. It doesn't seem to be the same songs every time or anything like that, so I don't think it's a problem with the files.
    Is this an issue that has been noticed by anyone else? Is there anything I can do to fix it's And if not, is it the kind of thing I need to send my player back for?

    @ It could be incorrect ID3 tags on your .mp3s, if the source for your music had the wrong ID3 information, your Zen won't show the correct information unless you use an? ID3 Tag Editor to correct the source.

  • Zen micro: mine displays incorrect track duration t

    Hello all,
    I've had my zen mirco since january 2005, and i've noticed that a bunch of the tracks display the incorrect duration time...usually by around 40 seconds. for example, windows (and windows media player) will say a track is 6:02 duration and zen explorer and the device itself will say the duration is 5:35.
    in fact, a bunch of my songs on my zen micro say that the duration time is 0:00 when they clearly are not. when these tracks are played on the device, the track time bar is completely full and plays normally.
    has anyone else noticed problems with duration times?
    although all the songs play normally (ie. they dont get cut off) its just annoying that i payed so much money for a device that shows incorrect information. and when i try to skim through a track that shows 0:00 duration, it just skips to next song when i press the >> button. weird huh?

    As per the FAQ, it's down to the ears of the individual. You might prefer a particular codec or bit-rate, whereas someone else might not like it. It's best to experiment for yourself.
    In terms of MP3 though, LAME is widely acknowledged as being the better codec for high bit-rate music encoding. Most rippers can be configured to use this.

  • How do I get my Pioneer stereo to display the correct time information via Bluetooth audio?

    I recently bought a Pioneer Stereo System for my car. However, when playing music from my iPhone via Bluetooth, the time informaiton for the song is displayed incorrectly. Example: I start a new song from my iPhone, and my Pioneer system displays it as 1:12 into the song...

  • Iphone 5s incoming call number displays incorrectly.

    Whenever I call my wife's Iphone from work, the number displays incorrectly on her caller ID.  It is always dropping the third number of the area code, so if my work number was 123-456-7890, then when I call her it shows up on her phone as 124-567-890, it doesn't even show a ten digit number.  So far I have noticed that it only happens when I call her from the landlines at my work.  I also have the exact same iphone 5s on the same carrier and the numbers display perfectly fine on my phone so I feel like it's some setting in the phone.  Before switching to an iphone we had her contacts imported from an old Verizon flip phone, not sure if that has anything to do with it.  Has anyone seen or heard of a similar issue?
    Thanks,
    Dan

    By the way I have completely reset all content and settings several times, tried turning off international assist, tried several suggestions I found online dealing with the sim pin, switched to a different phone to have the same thing happen on that phone also.  I have the same exact iphone 5s and carrier and service plan and the numbers appear perfectly on my phone.  I'm so confused why this is happening.
