[solved] fstab entry for user mounting of iso files?

fstab entry for user mounting of iso files?
I've seen it before but I can't seem to find it again.

I did, but couldn't find what I was looking for.
I got fuseiso to work, and that will do the trick, so I'm marking this one solved.
(I simply had to give 'others' write access to the mount point)

  • [SOLVED] Error mounting an ISO file located in an EncFS folder

I have some multimedia files inside an EncFS folder (decrypted via cryptkeeper).
When trying to loop mount the ISO files I get:
mount: foo.iso: failed to setup loop device: Permission denied
There's no error mounting the same ISO from a «regular» FS.
Is there a way around this?

    unSpawn at linuxquestions.org answered:
See 'man encfs': the warning at "--public" and 'man fuse': "allow_other"
Without setting the option 'public' in encfs or 'allow_other' is fuse, not even root can access the encfs mount and therefore mounting fails (sudo mount...).
Also, cryptkeeper now has the preference "Allow other users to access mounted folders" which gives exactly this kind of permission.

Its a late response... but if someone gets the same issue here is the solution.
When you register try uppercase password . That should take care of that issue.
The problem is with function module CRM_ISA_IUSER_SWITCH , Note 946536.
Although the note says 5.0 the problem exists with ISA 4.0 too

  • How to Generate Audit table entries for user navigation in ADF application?

    Hi all,
I have a requirement that I need to have audit table entries for each user action in my application. Along with entries for user actions like insertion, deletion and updation I also need to have entries in the audit log even when a user simply navigates to or views any page.
Although I was successful in creating the entries for user actions like insertion, deletion and updation I failed to do so for simple user navigation through the pages.

  • Mount cdrom_img (iso file) using CLI

    Hello all,
I will like to mount a ISO file for OS install from the CLI and not the JAVA WEB UI.
I Read that there is a StorageRedir file and stuff but I have problem to make it start (The Guide is very pure).

This is a HW question because, this kind of things are possible only if you are using the ILOM.
I will try to add more info:
All of my servers are remote mange.
The only way that I am able to connect to them is using network or ILOM.
So in the end my question if some one have any recontamination on the way to work with the servers regardless to the OS and Platform ?
Edited by: 838225 on Feb 20, 2011 4:15 AM... lofiadm and mount are OS commands.
They are not functions native to the ILOM sub-platform, nor to OBP.
You don't have a hardware component
(such as a PSU or DIMM or a failing fan or a bezel LED, etc)
barking an error at you, you have a system administration question.
Your method of establishing a console connection is irrelevant to how you would handle the question.

OK. Open your PDF with Preview and at the top of the window (near the file's title) you will see Locked in grey.
Click on it and in the menu that appears click Unlock.
It looks like this in OS 10.7.3 :
For information you can view the permissions of a PDF file in Preview by choosing in the menu bar Tools > Inspector, and then click Encryption (the lock).
    Hope this will help.

    [root@collabn1 dev]# mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /media

I'm trying to mount the OEL 6.4 ISO file which is attached to VirtualBox 4.3.x on my Macbook.
I have OEL 6.4 installed on Vbox, but now I want to mount the ISO. Is there missing tools that need to be installed or something else?

There is no additional software or tools required. The error message means that you do not have the disk image attached to your virtual machine. You first need to attach the iso image to your virtual machine by using the VM devices menu, or by dragging and dropping the iso disk image file onto the disk icon in the virtual machine toolbar. Then you issue the following command:
    mount -o loop /dev/cdrom /media

    Try this:
    1) Highlight all tracks you want in the same album.
    2) Right-Click, Get-Info.
    3) Edit the Album name - This will populate the same ALbum name across all selected tracks.
You may or may not want iTunes organizing your music. If 'yes' then the physical song files will be re-arranged on your PC's folder structure.
