[SOLVED] koffice status?

I can't seem to install koffice:
[root.musty:/~]# pacman -Q koffice
error: package "koffice" not found
[root.musty:/~]# pacman -Q KOffice
error: package "KOffice" not found
Any ideas?

Actually, of course, I'd tried that (pacman -S) 1st:
[root.musty:/~]# pacman -Q KOffice
error: 'KOffice': not found in sync db

  • [SOLVED] vim status line invisible/wrapped in terminal unless I resize

    Hi all,
    Whenever I open a file in Vim within a terminal (urxvt, Terminator, xterm) the status line at the very bottom is either invisible or wrapped onto a new line (ie "bot" or "All" will span a line) until I manually resize the window by dragging an edge - this seems to fix the issue (and Vim continues to display correctly even if I continue resizing) .  I tried changing the window geometries (in .Xresources for urxvt, and in terminator via --geoemtry) without luck.  Changing fonts (type, size) doesn't help either.
    I'm running Openbox on a recent Retina MacBook Pro with nVidia drivers, with infinality-bundle installed.
    The same behavior occurs under Awesome, and I tried various Openbox themes, all with the same result.   So, perhaps its a bash or nVidia issue.
    gVim works perfectly though.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks!

    The status line - the very bottom line - is either (1) below the visible portion of the terminal window - and remains so even if I page down repeatedly (urxvt) - or (2) is visible but the text appearing on it, like "bot" or "all" that are normally visible on the lower right corner, will wrap around (Terminator).  That is, I'll see "b" on the bottom right corner and then "ot" on the bottom left but a line lower.  In either case, if I manually resize the terminal window, it "catches up" and all appears correctly.
    Update: when running Vim without opening a file (just "vim" from the command line), in Terminator ALL of the visible text from the startup text is wrapped (ie "Vim is open source and freely distributable" wraps onto a second line).  In urvxt, that text appears normally but the status line is not visible.  In both cases, a window resizes corrects the display.
    Very strange.

  • [SOLVED] RAID status

    Last night I created a raid5 array using mdadm and 5 x 3TB hdd's.  I let the sync happen overnight and on returning home this evening
    watch -d cat /proc/mdstat
    returned:
    Personalities : [raid6] [raid5] [raid4]
    md0 : active raid5 sda1[0] sdc1[2] sde1[5] sdb1[1] sdd1[3]
    11720536064 blocks super 1.2 level 5, 512k chunk, algorithm 2 [5/5] [UUUUU]
    bitmap: 2/22 pages [8KB], 65536KB chunk
    unused devices: <none>
    which to me pretty much looks like the array sync is completed.
    I then updated the config file, assembled the array and formatted it using:
    mdadm --detail --scan >> /etc/mdadm.conf
    mdadm --assemble --scan
    mkfs.ext4 -v -L offsitestorage -b 4096 -E stride=128,stripe-width=512 /dev/md0
    Running
    mdadm --detail /dev/md0
    returns:
    /dev/md0:
    Version : 1.2
    Creation Time : Thu Apr 17 01:13:52 2014

    Last edited by audiomuze (2014-07-02 20:10:33)

    Contrasting two RAID5 arrays - the first created in Arch, the second in Ubuntu Server.  Both were created using the same command set (the only differences being number of drives and stride optimised for number of drives).  Why the difference in status out of the starting blocks?  I've not been able to find anything in the documentation or reading mdadm's manpage to explain this.  If there's additional info required in order to assist please let me know and I'll provide same.
    Thx in advance for considering and assistance.

  • [SOLVED] dwm-status.sh, possible to include scripts within the script?

    I have 'dwm-status.sh' printing some basic info (mpd, vol, date) into the status bar. Is it possible to make it include eg. gmail, weather, and battery scripts in a similar way that conky would? (execpi 60 python ~/.scripts/gmail.py)
    Also, off topic: How can I see which other special characters represent which icons in Ohsnap font? e.g. "Ñ" "Î" "¨" "¹" "ê" "í" "È represent cpu, memory, hdd, vol, clock.... how about the rest?
    dwm-status.sh:
    #!/bin/sh
    icons=("Ñ" "Î" "¨" "¹" "ê" "í" "È")
    getMusic() {
    msc="$(ncmpcpp --now-playing '{%a - %t}|{%f}')"

    Thanks guys, I've managed to get my notification scripts printing by simply not using execpi:
    getMail() {
    mai="$(~/.scripts/gmail.py)"
    echo -ne "\x0A${icons[3]}\x01 ${mai}"
    But like you said, I now have a calling frequency challenge.
    Trilby, that looks great. I've got it partially working, but I'm at a loss on how to go about printing the variables in the loop for those blocks that happen periodically.
    otherwise your email indicator (for example) will only pop up for one second every 5 minutes.
    ^ exactly what's currently happening.
    Is there something that just prints the variable without calling for an update like $(getMail) does that I could put into the loop?
    let loop=0
    while true; do
    # stuff that happens every second here
    xsetroot -name "$(getMusic) $(getVolume) $(getDate) $(getTime)"
    if [[ $loop%60 -eq 0 ]]; then
    #stuff that happens every minute here
    xsetroot -name "$(getMusic) $(getMail) $(getVolume) $(getDate) $(getTime)"
    fi
    if [[ $loop%300 -eq 0 ]]; then
    # stuff that happens every 5 minutes here
    xsetroot -name "$(getMusic) $(getMail) $(getWeather) $(getVolume) $(getDate) $(getTime)"
    let loop=0 #this prevents an eventual overflow
    fi
    let loop=$loop+1
    sleep 1
    done

  • [solved] koffice-plugins and koffice-kchart are in conflict

    When trying to update the latest koffice, the following appears:
    :: koffice-plugins and koffice-kchart are in conflict. Remove koffice-kchart? [y/N] N
    error: unresolvable package conflicts detected
    error: failed to prepare transaction (conflicting dependencies)
    :: koffice-plugins and koffice-kchart are in conflict
    Looking at the package versions shows that kchart isn't updated:
    koffice-plugins 2.3.0-1
    koffice-kchart 2.2.2-4
    So, should I just remove kchart? I didn't find any announcement that it isn't needed anymore...

    yes, you should remove it. Some parts have been moved to plugins, the application is disabled for now. See [1].

  • [SOLVED] Battery status in i3status is incorrect...

    So i3status suddenly seems to think my battery is fully charged at ~80%. At first I thought maybe my laptop's battery was going, but then I noticed if I run acpi -b when i3status is reporting full at ~80%, I receive the following:
    Battery 0: Charging, 100%, until charged
    This is the output of
    cat /sys/class/power_supply/BAT1/uevent
    POWER_SUPPLY_NAME=BAT1
    POWER_SUPPLY_STATUS=Charging
    POWER_SUPPLY_PRESENT=1
    POWER_SUPPLY_TECHNOLOGY=Li-ion
    POWER_SUPPLY_CYCLE_COUNT=0
    POWER_SUPPLY_VOLTAGE_MIN_DESIGN=10800000
    POWER_SUPPLY_VOLTAGE_NOW=12321000
    POWER_SUPPLY_POWER_NOW=295000

    POWER_SUPPLY_ENERGY_FULL=45470000

    POWER_SUPPLY_CAPACITY=100
    POWER_SUPPLY_MODEL_NAME=42T4855
    POWER_SUPPLY_MANUFACTURER=LGC
    POWER_SUPPLY_SERIAL_NUMBER= 420
    If i3status' battery percentage output is 100 * POWER_SUPPLY_ENERGY_NOW / POWER_SUPPLY_ENERGY_FULL... then the output I see should be correct
    Anyone know what's going on here?
    Last edited by Ownaginatious (2013-08-23 18:39:40)

    I believe that it is telling you that it is as charged as it is going to get.  Looking at the last full value versus the design capacity, It would appear that your battery can only store 80% of what it could when it was new (current capacity is 4547/5616).  My 2 year old battery is about the same as yours  -- around 80% of design capacity.

     Hello and welcome to the Skype Community.
    Your account shows that your credit card payment applications on May 27th and 28th were declined because, with your auto top up on 26th, you had already reached your agreed credit balance limit.

    Follow two NOTES 212394 & 661852
    or
    Ensure that PSE (Personal Security Environment) is created directly on SAP system after the system is installed, this is one time activity.
    To do this you use T Code "STRUST". You can check with your Senior Basis guy for more.
    By default the system's PSE is used to sign URLs. from SAP WAS you can also create your own PSE to sign Kpro URLs

    Hi Vasanth,
    It is all done in terms of ticket status, you have to create a service ticket, with some SLA details and problem description. Assign resources (People) to ticket who r responsible to solve the issue. Once issue is solved, change status of service ticket to completed.

  • E72 Calendar alarm cause system crush

    model: e71-1
    FW:23.002
    this bug exist from 21.XXX. when you setting a reminder with ringtone in calendar program, when the time reached, reminder pops up, with no sound, and a blinking screen, the system will crush. only remove the battary will solve this status.
    I guess it was caused by file system, maybe a software bug.

    Hi,
    That's curious, nokia advert that we don't have to upgrade unless we're sure it will resolve a bug, but as soon as we have a problem the first answer is to upgrade.
    So, for fw 51, no more news than some updated software, and 450+ bug corrected.
    how do you hnow if "[...] a bug which makes the phone less usable in your daily use [...]" will be solved by update ? How do I know is my E72 450+ bugs are the same bugs as update ?
    The real problem is that nokia publish bugged software, without any complete change log.
    Here is my feedback :
    * optical navi key settings are not loaded at startup, I set it to high sensibility, but sensibility is back to medium or low as I restart the phone, even if in settings I can read high, I must set it to low or medium, and back to high to get it work correctly
    * I use VOIP over WLAN, sometime connection is lost, at home or when I leave network coverage range. but when i want to restart VOIP service, E72 is unable to connect to WLAN, and so to VOIP provider. curiously web and other online services work fine. (I studied this error with network captures, connection manager and have a lot of details on this error, so it's too long to explain)
    *Why "internet tel" menu has been deleted from firmware to be replaced by "advanced VOIP settings" software ? I'd like to have it back
    A question to nokia developpers :
    Do you use your mobiles or services ?
    Do you need testers ?
    Why is there so many bugs after near 30 major version upgrade (22 to 31 to 51) ?
    What are these 450+ bug corrected ?
    Do you care why symbian guru give up and did you learn something about it ?

  • Airport issue after update - Status grey / Connection OK - Solved

    Hello All,
    Just wanted to share an issue I had that was driving me nuts, and then the final solution.
    Ever since the recent airport extreme update, my airport status has been broken. The menubar icon has shown up as grey / no signal, and when I click on it, the only option I have is to 'turn airport on' which when selected does nothing.
    In spite of this, though, my airport connection for my preferred network is working fine - I just can't select a new network off the list (there is no list, even in internet connect)
    This has been a problem since the airport extreme update. Nothing I did seemed to help. Finally, I called apple and spent 45 minutes on the phone with them, doing the obligatory pram resets and power management resets, etc. Nothing seemed to help. We found a way to enter networks manually (go to system prefs / network / airport and add your network there) but the status problem was still there.
    After I got off the phone, I went to the apple support page and found the airport extreme software update and downloaded it manually and installed it.
    Manually Downloading and Installing the airport extreme update again solved the problem.
    I don't know why the software-update version didn't quite work, but installing the update from the website did solve the gray / broken airport status menubar problem.
    Just thought I'd share that with everyone, as it's been driving me nuts for the better part of a week.
    Cheers!

    I would like to confirm that update worked for me too. Actually, I didn't need to do it manually like some of you did. It worked straight away after automatic software update.
    My problem was occasional inability to connect to my wireless router. The problem would have been solved by SSID change manually on the router and reconnection.
    After the latest update, everything is working flawlessly.
