[Solved] makepkg warning about unknown key

Hello,
when compiling cower 7-1 a strange warning was given by makepkg.
==> Verifying source file signatures with gpg...
cower-7.tar.gz ... FAILED (unknown public key 1EB2638FF56C0C53)
==> WARNING: Warnings have occurred while verifying the signatures.
Please make sure you really trust them.
EDIT: The warning is shown due to signature files attached to the package. It can be solved for packages made by archlinux devs:
- run as user
"# gpg --list-keys"
  in order to create a gpg database for your current user, if it is not present already.
- add
"keyring /etc/pacman.d/gnupg/pubring.gpg"
  to the end of
~/.gnupg/gpg.conf.

Mmm, not quite. You'll have the same problem with any PKGBUILD that has an unknown signature, not just AUR packages by the Arch devs.
The warning (it's not really an error) is coming up because the source tarball's signature is included in the source array:
source=("https://github.com/downloads/falconindy/$pkgname/$pkgname-$pkgver.tar.gz"{,.sig})
That's a lazyman's way of writing:
source=("https://github.com/downloads/falconindy/$pkgname/$pkgname-$pkgver.tar.gz"
"https://github.com/downloads/falconindy/$pkgname/$pkgname-$pkgver.tar.gz.sig")
makepkg is smart enough to know that .sig files are used to check the authenticy and integrity of it's namesake file, and so automagically runs a gpg check for you. At this point, since you're running makepkg as yourself, gpg is run as you, and uses your ~/.gnupg/pubring.gpg, which I assume doesn't have Dave's key in it. ('gpg --list-keys' would no doubt confirm that).
A quick fix for Arch dev packages would be to add "keyring /etc/pacman.d/gnupg/pubring.gpg" to the end of ~/.gnupg/gpg.conf.
Alternatively, run makepkg with --skippgpcheck to stop makepkg trying to validate the file with it's .sig file.

  • About Surrogate Key and Dimension Key on OWB 10.2

    Hi, everyone.
    I am using OWB 10.2 and I have a question about Surrogate key and Dimension Key.
    I indicated the foreign key as VARCHAR2 type in Fact Table and Dimension Key as VARCHAR2 type is operated as Primary key in Dimension Table. I made Single Level in Dimension Table.
    I know that Dimension Key stores the surrogate ID for dimension and is the primary key of the table. Also, Surrogate ID should be only NUMBER type.
    So, in this case, Surrogate ID is NUMBER type
    Dimension key should be NUMBER type to store the surrogate ID.
    But, Dimension key also should operate the primary to relate Foreign key as VARCHAR2 type.
    How I can solve this confusing condition?
    Please let me know that.
    JWS

    Hi JWS,
    From a SQL point of view it should not be a problem to join a NUMBER field to a VARCHAR2 field because during execution there will be an implicite cast for the NUMBER value to a VARCHAR2 value. See the example below.
       SELECT * FROM DUAL
       WHERE   1 = '1'From an OWB point of view it is not possible to have a Dimension with an NUMBER value Key that has a relation to a VARCHAR2 value Foreign key in a Fact table. This is caused due to the creation of a Fact table in OWB in which the Foreign keys in it are build from de Dimension tables that refer to them.
    You will loose the reference to the Dimension when changing the type of the Foreign Key.
    To resolve this issue I would advise you to use a Sequence that generates your Surrogate Key (NUMBER type) for the Dimension table and store it in the Primary Key Column (VARCHAR2 type).
    When validating the mapping you will get a warning, but when executing this should give no problems.
    Regards,
    Ilona

  • Can I stop Windows 7 from warning about security on every linked PDF?

    I am working on a project for which I have created one central document (an index) and 120 linked documents. Each document, on every page, has links to the next alphabetical document and back to the central index. This project will be distributed on disc to people with unknown computer platforms.
    I am a Mac user, and this works well on my iMac using Adobe Reader. It also works on my ancient Windows XP machine. A tech friend has looked the project over, and he says that on Windows 7 (used by more than half of computer users), every time a document links to a new document, Windows 7 throws up a warning about PDF security hazards. With a large number of documents to open, this could be tiresome.
    Is there a way to stop Windows 7 from warning about security on every linked PDF?
    This tech person recommends joining all the PDFs into one file (around 50 MB by his estimate), which would require relinking every current link.
    Acrobat offers to do the same with its Portfolio, but I'm not fond of the graphic styles offered, and I worry that one large file might be a challenge for older machines.
    Any suggestions?

    Can you get a screen shot of this error message or at least the exact wording? I suspect the error message is being displayed by Reader/Acrobat and not Windows.

    Okay so my phone crashes approximately every 30 seconds. I have tried resetting it by DPU as well as on the phone itself.  Once in awhile i get an error message about unknown error 1.  If i look at the diagnosis or if runs on itunes i get the following.  When I called the support at AT&T they think the phone is shot and it is a hardware thing but i have a hard time believing that when it happened when I sync'd it to my computer.  It did get progressively worse though, at first it crashed not that often and then got worse.  So restores are failing, recovery, everything.  Anyone run into this?

  • Warning about low disk space on drive E

    Hi,
    I'm running Windows 7 on a HP Pavilion Elite HPE. My main drive i s C and there is also D (Factory image) and then the HP(E: ) one which is giving the warning about low disk space. When I look at what there is in drive E there is a folder called "my name"-PC with a lot of "Backup Set" folders/files in it, and then there is a folder called WindowsImageBackup and subfolder "my name"-PC.
    I know I have to clean out these folders but I ma very insecure as to what I can delete.
    I'd be very thankful if you could give me some advice in this matter!
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    File History in Windows 7 is an extensive image backup of your drive which will steadily increase over time and needs to be cleared and suggest that you turn the feature off.  It is not very efficient.
    If you wish to delete this  Windows Image Backup file, you should disable  the automatic backup feature of Windows.
    Click on Start button > Control Panel > System and Maintenance> Backup and Restore.
    In the left pane, click on "Turn Off Schedule".
    From there you can delete the backup files on your E drive.
    I also suggest as an alternative, use Macrium Reflect Free every so often as it is more efficient and reliable.  It will make a complete image back up of your entire hard drive to an external hard drive.  Don't forget to create a rescue disk.
    Go to this site and do a Custom Install:
    http://www.macrium.com/reflectfree.aspx
    I personally use the Professional Edition which gives me more flexibility and features.

  • Save for previous version doesn't warn about incompatibilities

    I just back-saved some code from LV2012 to LV2009. The code included some conditional indexing. I expected that either:
    The code would be converted to a LV2009 functional equivalent without conditional indexing
    I would get a warning about the incompatibility
    I was disappointed to find that I got neither....
    I thought we previously got warnings about incompatibility... Or is my brain superimposing some wishful thinking onto my memories again?

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Just getting back to this thread after a busy week...
    The project that I backsaved included 2 VIs with conditional indexing. Neither had particularly complicated logic and the data types were a scalar and a small flat cluster of standard types. The one interesting thing about it was that both myself and a colleague both noticed the problematic backsave on different PCs and with different revisions of the code.
    Anyway, I since tried to reproduce the issue but failed... (Doesn't that always happen straight after a forum post?!) Now when I do a backsave (on similar code, lost track of the original code where I noticed this) I get the build array + case structure + shift register...
    BUT there is one problem: The new shift register always seems to be uninitialised. That seems buggy to me... (It definitely produces defective code in my case.) Is it that way by design for some reason??

    how can  solve this warn?

    My guess is that you're not resetting state in the parent tag handlers (e.g., data set by the nested tag handlers) correctly for them to work with tag handler pooling. For some more info on this, see an article I wrote for ONJava.com a while back (the "Tag handler life cycle and instance reuse" section):
    http://www.onjava.com/pub/a/onjava/2001/11/07/jsp12.html?page=2
    or my JavaServer Pages book (O'Reilly), plug plug :-)
    http://www.thejspbook.com/
    Tomcat 4.1.x uses tag handler pooling by default, but LiteWebServer (which is my company's product, BTW) disables pooling by default. Not sure about Jetty, but it's likely that it also disables pooling. For Tomcat 4.x and LiteWebServer, you control pooling through an init parameter to the JSP servlet in the conf/web.xml file:
        <servlet>
            <servlet-name>jsp</servlet-name>
            <servlet-class>org.apache.jasper.servlet.JspServlet</servlet-class>
            <init-param>
                <param-name>enablePooling</param-name>
                <param-value>false</param-value>
            </init-param>
        </servlet>I suggest that you disable pooling in Tomcat first and see if that helps. If so, you know what the problem is and can use the hints in my article to fix it.

  • I get a warning about using an old version even after installing v24.

    Several websites (including Mozilla) give me a warning about using an old version. I'm currently on v24 and when I take the advice to upgrade it simply re-installs v24 again but the out of date message doesn't go away!

    Philipp,
    Sorry, should have read the ENTIRE message you sent. Problem solved - thank you so much. Have a great day.

  • After updating to iOS 6 my iPod Touch 4th.Gen is virtually unusable ... does anyone know how to sue Apple since they gave no warning about iOS 6 being for iPad optimisation and a killer  for iPods ?

    After updating to iOS 6 my iPod Touch 4th.Gen is virtually unusable ... does anyone know how to sue Apple since they gave no warning about iOS 6 being for iPad optimisation and a killer for iPods ?  Before I throw away my iPod Touch does anyone know if Apple intends to rectify their obnoxious disregard for iPod users by issuing another 'upgrade' which will allow iPods to work without the constant system crashes that iOS 6 has caused ?

    Contact a lawyer if you want to sue.
    Otherwise try:
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
    Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
    All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

    we are doing data migration project and we have get data from different regions data in flat files, but we have problem below like:
    i am facing a problem to declare unique constraints, because in some files column should be in number data type and same file from some other region is varchar2 but these two columns are unique ,these two columns don't having the any duplicate values.
    can i take this column data type in varchar2?
    why because if i am taking number type it cant accept varchar2

    Regards,
    shNot really sure i understand your question. If you have 2 data sources and 2 different data types for the same type of data then you'd want to ensure you do a TO_NUMBER on the character representation of the data to ensure you strip out any non-printing characters like tabs or spaces.
    If that's not your problem, please try to be a little more clear. Your subject mentions you have an urgent problem about foreign keys and i find nothing to support your claim of urgency, nor foreign keys, within the subject of your question.
    Cheers,

  • Java 7u45 gives spurious warning about missing Permissions attribute

    The security dialog in 7u45 gives a yellow warning about missing Permissions attribute.   Does anyone know how to get rid of it?
    Same as the yellow box in the screenshots (#2 and #3) documented here (although none of them discuss the Permissions attribute) :
    What should I do when I see a security prompt from Java?
    The MANIFEST.MF file for the app definitely contains this attribute.  There's only one jar for the application, and it's signed.
    Might this be another security dialog bug?  Or am I missing something?  The JNLP contains the same "all-permissions" security tag.
    I also found the release notes for 7u45 mention a couple of cases where the dialog might still appear
    (see last issue: Java™ SE Development Kit 7 Update 45 Release Notes)
    I don't use the JNLPDownloadServlet but my own. I didn't model it on the JNLPDownloadServlet, but guess I could have partly the same issue since I use versioning.
    My jar doesn't fail to download though, it's just that its displaying this warning.
    MANIFEST.MF:
    Manifest-Version: 1.0
    Implementation-Title: My app
    Implementation-Version: 3.0-SNAPSHOT
    Built-By: me
    Application-Name: Myapp
    Created-By: Apache Maven 3.0.5
    Ant-Version: Apache Ant 1.8.2
    Trusted-Library: true
    Implementation-Vendor-Id: org.me
    Trusted-Only: true
    Build-Jdk: 1.7.0_45
    Permissions: all-permissions
    Specification-Title: my-client
    Specification-Version: 3.0-SNAPSHOT
    Archiver-Version: Plexus Archiver
    Codebase: *.me.org

    I went the Java version detection applet and I don't get a warning about the applet being blocked in the future.
    https://java.com/en/download/installed.jsp
    https://java.com/en/download/installed.jsp
    I dug the jar for the applet out of my Java cache and it contains Manifest.MF with the following contents:
    Manifest-Version: 1.0
    Codebase: www.java.com java.com
    Created-By: 1.7.0_25 (Oracle Corporation)
    Permissions: all-permissions
    Application-Library-Allowable-Codebase: www.java.com java.com
    Application-Name: Java Detection
    Name: JNLP-INF/APPLICATION.JNLP
    SHA1-Digest: jPquHTBq5R8txQLe5/T20x70Y7w=
    Name: JavaDetection.class
    SHA1-Digest: kQNVjPC5Yym1DszdpX1D2EH8Ll0=
    The jar contains one Java class and a signed JNLP-INF/APPLICATION.JNLP file that looks like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <jnlp codebase="https://java.com/en/download/" href="JavaDetection_applet.jnlp" spec="1.0+">
        <information>
            <title>Java Detection</title>
            <vendor>Oracle Inc.</vendor>
        </information>
        <resources>
            <!-- Application Resources -->
      <j2se version="1.6+"/>
            <jar href="JavaDetection.jar" />
        </resources>
    <security>
      <all-permissions />
    </security>
        <applet-desc
             name="Java Detection Applet"
             main-class="JavaDetection"
             width="1"
             height="1">
         </applet-desc>
         <update check="background"/>
    </jnlp>
    They are running applet via JNLP:
    <applet code="JavaDetection.class" width="500" height="150"><param name="image" value="/im/download/verify_anim.gif"/><param name="centerimage" value="true"/><param name="boxborder" value="false"/><param name="jnlp_href" value="JavaDetection_applet.jnlp"/></applet>
    The JNLP file downloaded from here: https://java.com/en/download/JavaDetection_applet.jnlp matches the signed JNLP file in the jar (except for name).
    We are still working on getting our applications to not show the warning message but this appears to be an example of where the "you will be blocked in the future" message is not happening. We don't run our applications as applets so if anyone can find another working example that is a more traditional JNLP app, please post a link.

  • Audio warning about security on computer.....

    I am getting frequent loud audio warning about security on my computer.  The message plays continuously until I turn it off.  it tells me to go to (I think this is it,but I threw the paper away with the exact address) but there is no web address like that.  Is it a hoax and can I block it if so?  Is it real and do I need to do something?  Call from NOTIFICATION® - URGENT ONLINE NOTICE, duration 01:45 is what shows on the log.

  • About the warning about changes message.

    Hi all,
    There is a messageChoice on the page,and the messageChoice must fire an action.But if the action is fired,then I click on the other tab or link, warning about changes message will not occur and directly farward to the other page.Is that possible that popup the warning about changes message after the messageChoice's event was fired ?
    Thanks,
    binghao

    Hi,
    this question is hard to understand. I don't see a messageChoice component in ADF Faces, can you give more details to your usecase and the components involved
