[solved] Proxy which allows binding to a specific interface only?

I have a server which has five IP addresses. The main interface is on eth0 and then there are other external interfaces which each correspond to a separate distinct IP address on eth0:0, eth0:0, eth0:1, eth0:2, and eth0:3 respectively.
What I want to do is make it so that I can have two different proxies which appear to be from separate IP addresses as opposed to being from the same (main) IP. I can already set a proxy such as polipo to listen on a specific IP address and port but unfortunately that's not enough. I need the external requests to be routed through a different external interface such as eth0:1 (thus having a different IP address), not just eth0 (the server's main IP).
Any suggestions?

If I understand you, the two Macs are connected to the router (and thus to the internet) via Wifi, but for this copying you want to connect them directly using an ethernet cable. (I assume his Macs are reasonably recent and so don't require a crossover cable.)
In System Preferences>Network you will see a list of possible connections; where there is more than one the Mac concerned will choose the top one unless it isn't available, in which case it will drop to the next one.
You probably have wifi as the top one: if ethernet isn't there you need to add it and then drag it to the top of the list (on both Macs), then when you plug the lead in the Macs should be able to see each other using the normal File Sharing method and connect that way.
An alternative would be to create a new location, so that you have two locations, one wifi only and one ethernet only: then you could switch to the cable (turning the connection to the router off altogether). Again you would do this on both Macs.

One way of doing this is to use either a ring or enum where the strings
presented to the user are "1", "10", or whatever you like. On the
diagram, the values will be 0, 1, 2, in a compact counting sequence.
Then do an array index into a constant. If this is done more than one
place, make the control a typedef so you can keep them consistent an

make the index be done in a subVI. Then whenever you need this, you
drop the control and the subVI, out comes the integer, float, or
whatever it is you want to index.

Proxy redirections on bind

Hi there,
I have clients look up via the 5.2p4 proxy pair. Currently I have a single group which directs an app user to a single ldap master pair. I now have more DITs on new masters and I want the proxy to redirect client searches based upon the BIND, I know proxy can do this.
Ive struggled to get on a proxy course as they very rarely run, can anybody point me in the direction for configuring this please?
Also, has anybody ever used a proxy setup (currently we have a load balanced pair of high spec X4200's) to handle connections in the region of 15K per second?
Any help would be appreciated.

Arp is used to obtain a mac address from an IP address. For a machine to send a packet to another machine on the same network it needs to obtain the mac-address of that machine.
Now lets say you have this statement on your pix
static (inside,outside) 206.156.17.1 192.168.1.2 netmask 255.255.255.255
which says present the internal address of 192.168.1.2 as a public ip address 206.156.17.1 to users on the outside of the pix.
Proxy arp allows the pix to respond to arp requests for hosts behind it. So when an arp request is made for 206.156.17.1 the pix will respond with it's own mac-address, receive the IP packets and forward them on to the internal host 192.168.1.2.
Without proxy arp outside hosts would not be able to reach the 192.168.1.2 server.

You don't have to be a programmer to be able to download one piece of sotware that will allow you to merge domain files, so that is no excuse.
Also, whichever version of iWeb you use, it is impossible to have two domain files open at any one time to be able to drop and drag between the two. The ony possible way of achieving this is if you have ONE domain file with all your sites there and on the left hand side it is possible to drag and drop between the sites.
That is why you were told to download the iWebSites programme specifically so that you could merge your domain files to do what you wanted.
The previous thread does appear to show that you successfully downloaded this programme and understood at some level how it worked - so what has changed?
Downgrading to any other version of iWeb will NOT help you and you can't drag and drop between domain files unless you have one domain file and you can then drag and drop between the sites and pages.
Other than this, you can't do what you want to and no messing around with different version of iWeb will change this.

Bind WebServer to Specific IP

We have netscape IPlanet WebServer 4.1 SP 9 running on Sun Solaris 2.8. We already have one instance running on port 443. I want to create another WebServer instance running also on port 443. For that the systems admins have created a virtual interface or Multihomes interface, where one LAN card has two ips.
But how can me force Netscape to bind to a particular interface?
Is there a way that i can specify netscape to bind on port 443 on a particular ip?

You can "Bind To Address" to Specific IP by below steps.
1. Go to Admin Server GUI.
2. Select the Webserver instance(which one you to map to particular IP).
3. Click on Manage.
4. In Preference ----> Network Settings .
5. Bind To Address : a.b.c.d, Type the IP address, which you need to map to this instance.. and Restart the webserver.
6.Now the server will listen in new ipaddress (a.b.c.d:443).

You should be syncing your contacts with an app on your computer or cloud service (iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo, etc), and not relying on a backup. If you haven't been doing this, start now and then restore your old backup. You will then be able to sync the new contacts back into the phone. However, you will lose all messages, etc newer thant the backup.

Both the Coldfusion admin and additonal site work fine on HTTP.
As soon as I attempt to enable SSL websockets and install SSL certs, the Coldfusion 11 Application service will not start. I followed the steps below....

Server was a cloned VM of the test server with developer copy of CF11, but license has been purchased and applied. SSL certs have been imported successfully, paths are correct in CF Admin to the cert file etc.
Do I need to install another version of Coldfusion to get around this issue or is there a download update I need to apply?
If i reconfig the \cfusion\runtime\conf\server.xml to comment out the SSL sections it works fine.
Any assistance welcome - I can't allow this site to made publicly available with using SSL.

@Scott, first are you running update 3? If so, let’s clarify at the outside that, as that bug report (you point to) does indicate in the notes below it, there is a fix for a problem where this feature broke in that release. And as it notes, you can email [email protected] to request the fix (referring to that bug), or you can wait for it to be released publicly as part of a larger set of fixes.
If you are NOT on update 3, or you may apply the fix and find things still don’t work, I would wonder about a few things, from what you’ve described.
First, you say that the CF service won’t start, and you offer some lines from the ColdFusion-error log. Just to be clear, those particular error messages are common and nothing to worry about. They definitely do NOT reflect any reason CF doesn’t start. But are you confirming that that time (in the log lines) is in fact the time that you had started CF, when it would not start? I’d suspect not.
Look instead in the coldfusin-out.log. What does THAT log show at the time you try to start CF and it won’t start? You may find something else there. (And since you refer to editing the server.xml file, you may the log complains that because of an error in the XML it can’t “parse” the file. It’s worth checking.
You say also that you have confirmed that “paths are correct in CF Admin to the cert file”. What path are you referring to? There’s no page in the CF admin that points to the CACERTS file in which the certs are stored. Do you perhaps mean on the “system info” or “settings summary” page? Even so there’s still no line in there which refers to the “cert file”.
Instead—and this could be a part of your problem—the cert file is simply found WITHIN the directory where CF’s pointed to to find its JVM. Wherever THAT is, is where you need to put any certificates. So take a look at the CF Admin, either in the ”java and jvm” page (and the value of its “Java Virtual Machine Path”), or in the “settings summary” or “system information” pages and their value for “Java Home”. Is that something like \coldfusion11\jre? Or something like \Java\jdk1.7.0_71\jre? Whichever it is, THAT’s where you need to put the certs, within there (in its \lib\security folder).
Finally, when you say that if you “comment out the SSL sections it works fine”, do you mean that a) CF comes up and b) some example code calling your socket works, as long as you don’t use SSL?
To be clear, no, you don’t need any other version of CF11 to get websockets to work. But if you are on update 3, that may be the simple problem. Let us know how it goes for you with this info.

Firstly you do not need to open ports to stream locally.. there is no port block in local LAN.. only WAN to LAN. So there is a good chance it is not needed at all..
Opening ports on the TC I strongly recommend a v5 airport utility.. you can download one for windows if you don't have a Mac.. iOS version of the utility I am not sure but it will not work to do complex things.
In the v5 utility go to the NAT area, and click on port mappings.
Sorry I don't have a screen shot at the moment of the actual mapping page.. but simply put the IP of the device you want opened and the port.
There are plenty of posts with this info if you google.
But as noted.. this is purely WAN to LAN.. nothing else.

But, if I am not wrong, unlike server proxy which is written directly in the class Provider class in SPROXT transaction, in client proxy we write abap code to trigger proxy in SE38 .
My question is : If I am in SPROXY and looking at any outbound SI, of which proxy is already generated, then how can in SE38 can I find which program is triggering that interface or proxy?
