[SOLVED] ssh authorized_keys and command="" generating multiple proces

Hey everyone, I've been using use
command="(tmux attach-session -t tmux_session || tmux new-session -s tmux_session)"
at the start of my authorized_keys file to make sure I remember to use tmux when I connect to my server. I have noticed however that every time I connect there are two processes with the command above
11476 bash -c (tmux attach-session -t tmux_session || tmux new-session -s tmux_session)
11477 bash -c (tmux attach-session -t tmux_session || tmux new-session -s tmux_session)
can anyone explain to me why there are two processes started from this command?
Also on another note why does detaching the tmux session close the ssh connection instead of giving me my normal shell?
Thanks for any help,
tpolich

You've volunteered a subshell in that command by wrapping it in parenthesis. So, yes, there's an extra process spawned.
Aside: The || condition is unnecessary. Name your tmux socket rather than your session (via -L) and use attach. If the socket doesn't exist, it'll be created. If it does, you'll reattach to it. In other words:
command="tmux -L default attach"

  • Purchase order generating multiple outputs

    Hi All,
We are facing this unusal problem where the PO is generating multiple messages .The most tricky part is its doing only in the morning at 9.30 am when the goods movement file is run.
During this time the PO close goes crazy and it generates multiple outputs per line item.
    Please advice.
    Regards,

    Hi,
What does the goods movement file run do ? Based on this you can do the same manually to a PO and check why the output is triggered.

  • Generate and Print Preview Multiple Forms in a Single PDF

There have been other questions similar to this but none directly address my problem.  We have the need to generate multple forms in a .pdf using Adobe interactive forms.  We can generate the multiple forms, but the user has to click on each form to view.  They want to have the forms in a single document that they can scroll through before printing.  We can do this in SmartForms but need to do it in Adobe.  Does anyone know how to generate multiple forms, either multiple copies of the same form or various forms, from an ABAP program into a single pdf that can be print previewed, in scrollable form, by the user?

I can describe it one more time, I think:))
You have multiple options, but only one "reasonable" within SAP.
You can call an external application (through command line etc.) to concatenate forms for you.
You can use iText as mentioned in the thread, and write yourself a "tool" which will concatenate the forms for you.
Both these "options" would not be acceptable for my clients, I name them to help you get the whole picture.
Then there is the third option: use a form for a single instance (template/ form A) and create a new form (form B), where you will use the A template:
    - you need to: create a new interface where everything from the old interface is a row of the table (example: you have a form to print out the personal card of the employee, so in a new form you will need to use a table, where a row is an employee)
    - you need to create a new form layout based on the new interface:
in this new layout you will paste the whole layout of the old form (A/ single instance) and wrap it into a subform. The added subform will work as a table (you will bind that to the table from interface) and everything from the old template within this new subform will work as a "row" (something what you can repeat for each data item).
    Does that sound reasonable?

  • Using Start-Job to launch multiple SSH sessions and esxtop?

    Hello folks,
I am trying to start an esxtop session on multiple esx servers at the same time.
I started trying using Start-Job thinking it would help do it asynchronously.
The script I have below works on one host so far, but need suggestions to repeat it for multiple hosts, thinking by looping through changing the $i each time?
Checking if anyone would have comment?
    $i = 1
    $seconds = 5
    $iterations = 2
    $esxtopfile = "esxtop$i_$((Get-Date).ToString('MMddyyy-hhmm')).csv"
    $ComputerName = "z420esxi$i.domain.net"
    # Start an esxtop session using SSH.net and start an esxtop command - module already loaded.
    $sb = {New-SshSession -ComputerName $($args[0]) -KeyFile C:\esxi-key-openssh.key -Username root
           Invoke-SshCommand -ComputerName $($args[0]) -command "esxtop -d $($args[1]) -a -b -n $($args[2]) > /tmp/$($args[3])"
    Start-Job  -ScriptBlock $sb -ArgumentList $ComputerName,$seconds,$iterations,$esxtopfile | Wait-Job | Receive-Job

A: Using Start-Job to launch multiple SSH sessions and esxtop?

You're starting for a job, waiting for that job to complete and then finally receiving that job
before allowing anything else to happen with your script.
In other words, if you had some code after the Start-Job line, it would not be executed until the job had completed and you had received the job, which partially negates the benefits of using a job to begin with (specially bearing in mind you don't have
a form).
The way to achieve what you're after is to start all jobs at the same time, one per ESX host, and then finally to wait for all jobs and collect all jobs at the end.
Here's a quick example that starts 5 jobs and wait for all of them to complete before receiving the results.
$jobs = @()
$jobs += 1..5 | ForEach-Object {Start-Job -ScriptBlock {Sleep $args[0]; "I just slept for $($args[0]) seconds"} -ArgumentList $_}
[void] (Wait-Job $jobs)
Receive-Job $jobs
Notice that each of the subsequent jobs will take longer and longer to run, with the first being the fastest and the last the slowest. Still, I'm waiting for *all* jobs to complete before performing the Receive-Jobs on all of them at the same time.

  • [Solved] SSH not working (ISP blocks my port 22)

    OK full story:
I want to be able to connect to my home arch linux box from school. The setup there are winxp machines whit putty on my usb or the pc itself. I know that my school is not blocking any ports as my friend can connect to his linux box at home. (also ssh)
These are things i did and can think of i need to to do get ssh working:
Before everything else i started to configure my Linsys router.
My ISP gives me an Dynamic IP so i need to use the dyndns.org service. I made an account and configured my linsys router DDNS tab to work with the account. I got into the port forward tab an putted in ssh port forwarding (on port 22 TCP for my ip 192.168.1.102 => did ifconfig to be sure). Port forwarding for port 9091 is also on for my transmission webgui i'm saying this here because this works when i'm at school.
    1. Installed openssh

    Wild guess but:
    # /etc/hosts.allow
    SSHD: ALL
    # End of file
I don't know if this is case-sensitive, but if it is: it should be "sshd".
If it doesn't work, doesnt hurt to try.

  • How to generate multiple "gift certificate" pdfs with unique serial #s

I am a new Acrobat user (have Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro) and poked around a bit to see if I could find out how to do this, but found nothing.
I assume this has been done before and hope someone can point me in the right direction.
Here's what I am trying to do:
    1. I currently have a pdf doc with a field for a unique serial # (let's call the doc a "Gift Certificate" for simplicity, though that's not quite what it is).
    2. I want to generate multiple pdf files, say 100 of them, based on this original Gift Certificate, but with each one having a unique serial # in the appropriate field, say starting at ser # 1001, and running through to ser # 1100.
    3. I want to be able to save each of these new files on a hard drive - not outputting them to a printer (though this might come in handy in the future too).
Is this something I can do in Adobe Acrobat Pro 9?  I looked at the Batch Processing tool, but that didn't seem to have any ability to create new files.
Or do I need a plug-in?  Or a separate software altogether?
Any help for this novice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    keith

It works perfectly right out of the box.  Great stuff!!!
Wish it always worked that way.

  • A note in the Notes application generates multiple copies of itself

A note in the Notes application spontaneously generates multiple copies of itself. This is the second time. This also happened with Mountain Lion. It makes Notes unusable. Any ideas on why this is happening and how to solve it?

    Hi,
I had this problem where the app is showing you drafts of your notes you are making which means multiple copies are showing up in the list.  I did the following and it fixed my notes on the machine having the issue which is my MacBook Air.  I have an iPhone, iPad, and a MacPro which all were acting normal.
    1.  Open Notes on the machine having the issue and compare to other devices.
    2.  Make sure to copy and paste any notes on the problematic machine to a text edit document because you are going to delete all notes on the problematic machine.
    3.  Open the sidebar on the Notes app so you can see all accounts to sync with notes (iCloud Account).
    4.  If you select the iCloud account does the redundant notes dissapear?  For me they did but I went farther with troubleshooting because some of the notes I made on my MacBook Air were not syncing properly.
    5.  Open System Preferences/iCloud and selct the account you are using to sync notes (iCloud for me).
    6.  Uncheck Notes from the list
    7.  Go to the notes app and confirm all notes are gone and you can also erase any stored on your Mac (if you have backed the up or if there are on the iCloud server)
    8.  Recheck the Notes box in System Preferences/iCloud  and confirm that notes sync back to your machine.
    9.  Operation should be back to normal
    Good luck,
    R

  • How can I generate multiple unique random numbers?

    Hello,
I am trying to generate multiple random numbers between a given set of numbers (1-52) and not have the same number generated twice within that set. I can compare the last and next numbers with the compare function but how would I go about comparing all of the generated numbers without using a huge list of shift registers...
Any help/ideas are welcome and appreciated.

  • Generate Multiple Invoices in One PDF

    Hi,
I have requirement whereby I need to generate multiple invoices in one PDF file. I am using Oracle BI Publisher with Oracle APEX 4.0.2
If there is only one invoice that needs to be generated in one PDF file then I already have the solution whereby I print the APEX page item session state values on Invoice Header and get the invoice line items from a SQL Query in my RTF template.
However how to the do the same when multiple invoice needs to be generated in one single PDF file ?
    Any pointers will highly appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ashish

Once you've got the query returning multiple rows, then just add a repeating group to your report (if an existing report, just select the section of the document that will repeat -> add-ins menu -> insert repeating group...; or right click selection -> BI Publisher -> Create group...), wherein the column values exist. You can even specify a page break at the end.
By the way, this question is probably more suited for the {forum:id=245} forum.

    Hi,
With your first xml you can print like
    EMP1
    71000, Sample, 01-Jan-2010
    72000, Sample, 01-Feb-2010
73000, Sample, 01-March-2010While creating the RTF template you can use the Group by option.
<?for-each-group:ROW;./columnname> then print the column name
    <?columnname?>
    --Then your table format
    71000, Sample, 01-Jan-2010
    72000, Sample, 01-Feb-2010
    73000, Sample, 01-March-2010
    <?end for-each-group?>
    Thanks.

  • How to generate multiple idoc's from single appl document

    All,
Iam looking for a way to generate multiple idoc's from single appl document (sales order). Based on the plant details on line items in the sales order i have to generate multiple idocs, i.e., send one idoc to each plant entered in sales order line items. any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi,
You can create a Z-program and call Function Module  <b>MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE</b>.
You can make a call to this FM to send the Idoc as many times as u have plants in your Sales Order.
You can call FM <b>IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDRSP</b> to fill the IDoc structure.
Then u can keep the materials of only that plant for which u want to pass on the information.
    Thanks,
    Utsah Garg.

  • Solaris 10 x86 cdrw trouble.  Gnome and command line problems writing.

I'm experiencing general weirdness trying to write CD's and DVD's using a new internal DVD-RW device -- It's a Sony NEC AD 7220 A CD / DVD RW drive on a Solaris 10 x86 AMD system. I have searched far and wide for other threads of similar instances but no one has posted an issue like the one I'm having.
    I have a Sony Optiarc AD 7220 A CD-RW on a x86 AMD Athalon 1.6 ghz based server with 2 GB RAM.
The DVD-RW drive gets detected by BIOS (Phoenix TrustedCore 2.3) and reads disks fine. I installed Solaris 10.08 from DVD using this DVD-RW drive.
However, trying to write to new blank media does not work properly, (effectively at all).
I've tried different brands of brands of blank CD's and CD-R and CD+R (have not tried using CD-RW disks yet). Ditto with DVD's - tried DVD-R and DVD+R's.
    1. Inside the Solaris 10 GUI (Gnome, a.k.a. Java Desktop), when I put in a blank CD-R, a dialog box "Format Media...?" pops up. If I click "Ok" it formats the blank CD and closes the session, CD has been written to and is ruined.
    2. I open a terminal window, as root, and put in a blank CD. "mkisofs –r /home/foo 2>/dev/null | cdrw –i –p 1" will write a directory tree OK, but if I go back into gnome GUI and open and close the CD tray, again, up pops the "Format Media..." dialog box instead of the CD appearing on the desktop. If I restart vold (svcadm restart volfs) then open and close the CD tray, voila, the contents appear on desktop as CD icon.
    3. When I try to write to a DVD-R: "cdrw -i /local/iso_image" It always fails with: Write Track 1....Failed. after a few minutes. It did in fact write part of the .iso but bails out with a failure.
I've tried various other write commands (specifying the device ID, speed, so on and so forth) and command line switch options (following the rules of course) and it seems to me to be more than a syntax / media issue. However if it is I would like to know. I did see a similar CDRW device on the HCL for OpenSolaris with a 'reported to work' rating. That was for a Optiarc AD-5200A, which is going away thus my company has chosen to use the AD 7220A in speciality racks we build and deliver to the U.S. Navy.
I really need to get a handle on this CD-RW device issue and decide if a different brand / model is what it's going to take to solve this and move on to producing and delivering these systems in working conditions.

Sony systems are often very particular about what CD's and DVD's they'll take. I have several Sony systems that I use for video work and they'll read almost anything but they'll only write to DVD RW.  They also don't like cheap brand CD's and DVD's.  Be sure to try both CD RW and DVD RW before doing anything else.  Because of the requirement for DVD RW, they won't take fast speed (16x) DVD's, just 4x. If all of this turns out to be the case, you may want to go with a different manufacturer for the drive, DVD +RW 4x aren't always easy to find in the store.
