Some items doesnt get copied with header partner

Hi ,
I have a issue with an order, where when teh order header partners are redetermined, (ship to), some of the items on the order doesnt get copied with the new ship to.
There is a check box at the item partner screen which is been ticked only for the items where thsi change doesnt take place.
It indicates that 'Partner valid at item level, if this indicator has been activated, the partner is valid at item level.'.
Could someone please advice the reason as to whta the check box means as well as the reason as to why the header partner doesnt get copied to the line item partner.

Read OSS Note 550073 - FAQ: SD Partner Determination I, points 1 and 2.
The description from the note is,
1. Question: Why is a new partner determination not executed when I change the partner ?
Answer: The partner determination always runs when you create a document. Then dependent partners are automatically determined and checked. If in the existing document you change a partner, the system does not run a redetermination of the partners (except when the sold-to party is changed). This works as designed and possible dependent partners are not redetermined.
2. Question: Does the partner determination take place on item level ?
Answer: An item partner determination is not provided in the standard system. You can enter item partners manually. Here, in Customizing of the item partners you can specify which partner functions should be allowed on item level and which not. The header partner functions are always allowed on item level. On item level, if you enter a partner, it is visualized by the item partner flag. For an item partner you can change the address data, header partner addresses cannot be changed on item level. The logic of the item partners is: If for an item there is no partner, the header partners are displayed. If as described above you enter a partner on item level, this partner exists on item level. If for a partner you enter an address differing from the header but the partner should stay the same, you can just enter the partner again manually for the respective item. Thus the partner becomes an item partner and the address can be changed.

Routine doesnt get copied

Hi
we have a cube on which there are update rules. Now created a new cube same as the old one and copied update rules from the old cube update rules. After copying the update rules, i deleted few keyfigures from the new cube and activated. So update rules gets deactivated. When i try to activate the update rule, it says there is error in the routine.
Here my question is when i copied the update rules to the new cube, the routine which is under
$$ begin of routine - insert your code only below this line -*
fill the internal table "MONITOR", to make monitor entries*
Doesnt get copied to the new update rule..Why is it?

Hi Annie,
Every update rules are exclusive used by the infoprovider to where it attached. Now, you can do copying the structure of a particular cube or infoprovider. Then, in update rules you can also copy the same code manually and once you'd like to remove infoobjects with it, you need to make it sure that it was not included in your routine or no mapping has been defined on your update rules.

Business Area is value getting copied to Trading Partner Business Area

Respected Members,
In the Purchase Order i have maintain the business area and through this Purchase order i am making the good receipt and business area is visible at MIGO item level screen also.
BUt when accounting document is generated the business area value is not visible in the business are.
After keen observation i found that value of Business area is getting copied to Trading Partner Business Area and Business area value is getting clear off.
Why Sap Guys have hardcorded like that they clearing the business area value and putting in the trading partner businessa area. In coding they have not maintain any condition also.
Please anybody can clear my doubt at what scenario the business area value will be visible in the business area field and when it will get clear and transfer to trading partner business area.

1. In case of Business where payments are made centrally it is important to report
    Bank A/c Business area wise.
2. However I have solved the problem by doing "Sustitution", and its working fine. The Business Area is getting updated against the Main Bank Account Line item.
3. I am however getting one error while doing the upload in FF_5. The error occurs
   only if Business Area is a "required" field in Bank Account's "Field Status
   Group".
   Error: (00 298) Formatting error in the field COBL-GSBER ; see next message.
   But if I make Business Area as an Optional Field I am not getting an error and
   also the posting is done to Main Bank Account.
Is there anyother method by which this error can be corrected.
I have assigned 2 points for your inputs. Can you help me to solve this error as well.

The missing apps could have been done by setting the Restrictions that can hid those apps. If the backup was made with those retrictions set the the Restrictions are also restored.
Thus, if you get it to work restore to factory settings/new iPod, not from backup

Duplicate Shopping Cart line items - Supplier doesnt get copied ?

we are on SRM7 extended classic scenario and while we use the "Duplicate" option to copy the existing line items in a shopping cart then the supplier doesn't get copied to new line item, field remains blank? is it a standard behaviour?
what are the steps needed to make this happen ? appreciate your help in this regard.

In SRM , if you copy the line item all item data must copy including suppliers.

1 create a shopping cart describe requirement
2. manually assigned a source of supply - assigned a vendor
3. copy the line item into another one
4. in the latest line item supplier was not copied.
The behavior of copying/pasting or duplicating items in a SC is different depending on the status of the SC

I am creating Return order With ref to Billing Doc.
when i click on copy one popup is coming that is for Sales item Text.(I want to click on Copy & not Selection List B'cos in Selection List Sales Text will not come)
So as per the Text i should select the material in Return Order.
but when i click on red cross on Sales text window(POP Up), that material also getting copied in SO, which was not happening earlier...
any configuration in Sales Text is there or some Userexit is there???

As such, this is a basic functioanlity of MRP.
Once you enter a forecast & take a MRP run system proposes, when to start the production based on the production leadtime & purc.reqns for the raw materials based on the procurement lead time.
And the same can be viewed from various reports..FOr example MD04.
For this to work the MRP configurations should be valid.
Could you please confine your question to a specific query..?

Some items in not copied because they could not be found

Hi - I recently had a corruption problem and had to restore the IPod. Now when I sync, I get the following message:
"Some of the items in the ITunes Library, including" [list of 118 items] "were not copied because they could not be found".
Is there a way I can tell the Library where to find the files? They are all on my computer, and it can find another 900+ items, but can't find these 118.
Alternatively, is there a way to purge all of the "not found" items from the library so that I can conveniently reload them? Since the library lists them I don't know a simple way to track them down, short of writing down all 118 items from the error message box.

I have the same problem and it's really annoying. It always seems to be about the same # of songs too, around 100
First I thought it was because of Vista. I rebuilt my PC with XP, reinstalled iTunes, resynced all 45GB of files and it seemed ok. It worked for a day or two, then today I plugged in my ipod to sync and it couldn't find some files again. It also is now showing duplicate filenames for many songs.
Nothing has changed, I have not moved any files on my PC or anything. The only difference is the Ipod wasn't connected since yesterday

Some items were not copied because software is too old

I've updated to 7.0.2 and finally decided to brave the waters and sync my iPod--I've been too chicken to sync it at all since 7.0 came out and all of the issues began appearing.
Of course, when I plugged in the iPod, it asked if I wanted to update & install or "download only". I chose to download only so that I could install it later (hoping maybe another firmware would come out before I do). My iPod was still able to sync--which I wasn't sure it would. However, after it finished I received the following message:
"Some of the items in the iTunes library were not copied to the iPod "Michelle's iPod" because your iPod software is too old. Go the to the Summary tab in iPod preferences and click Update to get the latest iPod software update."
I checked my item counts between iTunes and the iPod--there were 35 "music" items that didn't sync and 110 podcasts that didn't sync. This is out of the 500 or so items that the progress window said it was trying to sync from the beginning.
It would sort of make sense if it refused to sync ANYTHING that I had added since before 7.0. But why would it sync some, but not others? None of it is "purchased" from the iTunes Store. It's all either imported CD's, downloaded podcasts, or simply "updated" old items (those whose play count or last played date had changed--or possibly new album art).
Any idea how to figure out the logic behind which items it WILL sync with "old" software and which items it will not?
Maybe I'll be forced to try updating to 1.2 after all! I was really hoping to wait since it sounds like many of the current issues are iPod firmware related instead of iTunes related.

The error 48 comes up when syncing. I think I have a fair idea now that there is a problem when attempting to sync contacts or anything else. Initially when setting up the iPod from scratch the iTunes capacity window for the iPod shows audio, other and free space. The other I believe is the essential system software plus the calenders, contacts and notes folders. On set up all files transfer. Every single time when I have clicked on the pane to allow contacts syncing problems begin. The other capacity disappears leaving audio and free space. Syncing is attempted by iTunes but it gives up and the error message 48 appears unable to update.
My solution so far is to disable all syncing when setting the iPod up and dragging files over. Not ideal but it seems to work fingers crossed.

BOM main item not getting copied in delivery

The problem iam facing is the main item in sales order is not getting copied in delivery and subsequently not able to generate the billing document as the subitems are not relevant for billing. I got a solution saying that the problem is with the delivery group in the item category.
But for the same item i tried to create order for a different order type and it seems to be working fine. Its happening for a particular order type only.
I checked in the copy control settings and settings seems to be fine.
Can somebody help me on this issue.

When i try and download some items i get the error message that that say that the download can't continue because i need a later version of Firefox I have 5.0 currently installed on my PC. one such download was the Google toolbar

I have a dell 320 optiplex 1.80 GHz. as stated above when I try and download certain items i get an error message essentially telling me that my version of Firefox is not compatible with ?(item i'm trying to download) the most recent was Google toolbar. the irony of it all is that I have version 5.0 installed so not unless I miss something when I initially installed Firefox 5.0 would be the latest version

If you don't already have the "Google Toolbar" why would you want it, it is a problematic extension as are most third party toolbars. I would expect that anything that just about anything that you would use it for can be done with a bookmarklet. As for searching, the builtin Firefox search bar is wonderful you can add or create search engines for it.

Formula item doesnt get stored in database ???

i have three text items shown on my canvas
:basic
:hra
:total
the :total is :basic + :hra
and so :total is a display item. i therefore used in the property palete for :total in the formula section as :basic + :hra.
The display gets shown properly after performing the calculation.
But when the 'save' button is pressed it does not 'commit' the :total item to the database.
The other items successfully get commited. Why so? whats the solution to this problem.

Complaint with reference to R/3 Billing Document , Items not getting copied

I have implemented BADI CRM_COPY_BADI_EXTERN for pulling billing documnets which is working fine. But when I am creating a credit with refernece to billing doc fetched all other details are getting populated except Product, description into line item level.
I am using MAPPING_FOR_EXTERNAL_DOC for mapping R/3 values to Web UI fields. However CT_ORDERADM_I table in this method does not getting filled up with item level data as product , description etc.
I am populating the same and modifying the table in program. However it is not populating the value in Web UI fields.
Can anyone help as how should I populate item level values?

I have a requirement to display the item details of complaint are created with reference of a billing document in Web UI.
When a Returns Split is created with reference to a billing document, the item is split into multiple items based on the quantity in the source document. The BAdI definition CRM_COPY_BADI_EXTERN which we implemented for this requirement. This works fine in SAP GUI but i need to replicate the same in Web UI.
I have implemented the BAdI definition CRM_COPY_BADI_EXTERN in read_data method, check_split_change_alv method is actually spliting the line items based on the quantity. In SAP GUI its works fine but it’s not working in web UI.
We used a FM CRM_INTLAY_GET_HEADER_GUID to retrieve the header guid when there is call from web UI. But this FM returns zero value for guid. I’m struck up at this point.
Please suggest how can i replicate the return split in webui too.

Need some info about getting started with the GE70 2PC Apache

I'm about to getting the new GE70 2PC Apache gaming notebook from MSI and since I'm really putting alot of money in this I really wanna handle it gently :p So I got some questions about this, since It'll be the first time I'd but a gaming notebook.
1) 1st of all, what do I do when I've first started the laptop? Do I place in the CD and install all the newest drivers from that CD? Afterwards install an anti virus and then I should be good to go?
2) I heard the Haswell i7 processors from Intel produce a hell of a lot heat. When I turn on turbo fan and turbo boost and I reach temperatures of around 90°C, would it harm the hardware of my laptop? Could any damage take place? Or would my processor/graphic card have a shorter life expectancy?
3) The graphic card would be the GTX 850m. Now I'm wondering, is on this particular laptop -> (MSI-ge70-2pc-019be-apache-azerty), is the graphic card the DDR3 version or the GDDR5 version? Because I heard even the GTX 765m can outperform the 850m DDR3. But I also heard that the GDDR5 version of this graphic card is noticeably better than the 765M graphic card.
4)Is it wise to keep the processor going on turbo boost (3,4 Ghz) forever?
5) Will I have internet problems? I heard alot of people having internet problems with the killer lan drivers lately..
6) What laptop do you think I should pick in overall? The 2PC Apache version or the GE70 2OE version (the one without SSD) ?
8) My Brother has the GE70 2OE which has the 765m graphics card, but he only has around 60 fps when he's playing League Of Legends, and LoL isn't the most demanding game right.. The FPS sometimes even drops to 40 (even when he's ALONE with no one around him). It feels like his FPS is capped at 60? Because most of the time it's just 60. But when I look at the settings I saw the FPS is uncapped.. I believe with this graphics card he must atleast achieve a constant 70-80 fps on this game right? Might something be wrong in the settings of the graphics card?
7) Is there anything I should know before I start gaming on this laptop? (something I should do to have best performance or something..?)

Well...
1. When you get the laptop, use MSI Burn Recovery and make the backup disks (I prefer DVD's myself...). This way if something happens, you can reinstall all the software like you just bought it.
2. Haswell does produce quite a bit of heat. As long as you don't get much higher than 90C you should be ok. If you're getting into the high 90's or even 100C range, you probably need to replace the heatsink compound. MSI has had a number of issues with that aspect on notebooks. It is easily done though.
3. The only way to really answer that question is probably to contact MSI about it. >>How to contact MSI.<<
4. Turbo boost isn't really user controlled. I wouldn't worry about it.
5. You might have issues. I'm honestly not too sure. I know most people haven't had issues recently, but that's all relative. The drivers seem to be working rather well right now to be honest.
6. Depends what you want and what is available. Maybe the GE70 20E + buy an SSD will be cheaper than just buying the Apache version. I don't really know, but you could always look into it.
8. The 765M is a decent card....but remember, it's NOT the same as a 760 on a desktop. It's roughly equivalent to a 750 in the desktop world. That's not a bad card by any means, but you aren't going to be able to get 60+ FPS at 1920x1080 in many games. LOL is rather demanding as a game though to be perfectly honest. (throwing my personal opinion in on this, I always buy the highest end item I can in this case, because you won't be able to get any better really in the end until the next laptop comes out).
7. I would setup all your games in the NVidia control panel to use the NVidia high performance graphics processor. That way there is no confusion and it will use the right video card.
You don't really need to update drivers UNLESS you're having an issue (like BSoD's or game freezes or something similar).
The MSI customer service in the EU really seems to be hit or miss. Some people seem to get good service, some people get really crappy service. I'm honestly not sure what the problem is over there. =/
