Sometimes a tab for a previous website is lost, when i try to go "back" to it.

i am accessing web sites and each site is creating a new tab. When i use the "back" function, a previously accessed web site is "lost". i have to use a bookmark to get access, and login again to get to that web site.
There have always been problems with tabs, but with FF 3.6.8, i cannot start another copy of FF to deal with tab problems (with multiple copies of FF running, i can always go to a previously started copy of FF and retain access to an important web site).
A website that was "lost" is https://www.narfepremierfcu.org/
My checked preferences for tabs are:
"Open new windows ...", "Always show the tab bar" &
"When i open a new link ... "

Can you attach a screenshot?
