Soundblaster 5.1 problems with microph

hi im having trouble with my microphone, it was workin find with my old sound card but now it doesnt work anymore, can someone please help me. thanks. ps i've also tried other microphones that work on other pc's they dont work either.

Help-Charging problem with MicroPh

Hi,I bought a USB Power Adaptor which connects to the Mains supply and provides a USB interface for charging USB devices. I connected my Zen MicroPhoto' USB cord to this adaptor and set it ON for charging. The battery icon on the player showed charging, but till hours of keeping the charging ON, the player was not charged. I was wondering if the player can only be charged through a computer!!!Please advise... Mayank

SoundBlaster Live! problem with mixer..

Ok this is what happens. WHen I click on the Creative Surround Mixer, a window pops up and says "there is no mixer detected in the system. mixer will now exit." Now if I restart the computer, it works again, but only for like -2 hours. Before, I would reinstall the whole hing with the DrvUniPack and it would fix the problem for 5-6 months. Now it doesnt matter, same thing happens. Any suggestions?
I have a Windows XP Home.
AMD Athlon .8ghz.
ATI Radeon 9000

Xfi xtreme gaming - problems with microph

hi, i just bought the xfi xtreme gaming sound blaster. but in the teamspeak, other mates hear there voice with hall, my voice and everything that?s happening on my pc, for example the music i ?play on my computer and the soundeffects in my games and sounds in windows. another problem is that, if i change the sound mode (for example from entertainment mode to gaming mode and back) my mixer settings reset. so what can i do?

i have already checked 'micrphone' in the recording settings. when i go to the xtreme gamer mixer settings, and i select the microphone under 'rec', another line with microphone appears and i don?t know what that mean. a buddy bought the same soundcard and has exactly the same problem. i can fix it for my daily usage (setting the teamspeak voice activation volume a bit louder and the record volume some quieter. but i think if i will record some music with the microphone (i play in a band), the problem will still be there (record all that i hear through my speakers / headphones)
the problem is still there, so i didn?t solve the problem! i just decrease the symptoms!

Problems with MicroPh

I have went through support knowledgeBase several times but nothing has worked.
First the problem was that the mp3 player stopped connecting to the computer. It happened several times before but it would usually start working again. Then it didn't. I tried rebooting it. Now it doesn't even turn on, it freezes on the Creative screen.
When plugging into the computer it does begin to charge but does not connect to the Creative Media Explorer or Windows Media Player.
I tried Formating and Cleaning it but it doesn't work. If I charge the player fully and choose one of the options it will say, lets say, "formatting..." until the player runs out of batteries. When I turn it back on, nothing changes.
This is VERY frustrating because I had the MicroPhoto for about 6 months when it started happening.
EDIT: I have tried re-installing the hardware. Now in my hardware manager it says "Portable Device" > "MTP Device" which has a yellow exclamation (!) mark. No programs will recognize the player and I cannot update firmware because it tells me the device is connected while it is... here... charging.

They told me that it was out of warranty but to scan the warranty documents and send them to them to double check and make sure, and if it is within warranty they'll replace it for me, but otherwise I'll have to just either send that for repair (which is around $00) or get a new one. No bloody way would I get another of theirs! Certainly not with the hard dri've anyway, I'd probably consider one with a flash dri've as they sound a lot more stable and my microphoto was brilliant while it was working. But I'm not going to buy one for a long time as I can't afford it... this just really irritates me.

Windows Media Player 11 problems with SoundBlaster Live! Driv

My sound card stops working as soon as I try to watch a video with WMP. I have a Creative Labs SoundBlaster Li've! with a driver date of 8/29/2002. When I go to adjust audio properties, the system doesn?t recognize the card even though it is still listed in the hardware and says ?Device is working properly. I have reloaded the driver, and the card begins to work again, but as soon as I attempt to view a video, I?m back to the same place.
When I run the diagnostics included with the SoundBlaster card prior to running WMP, it passes on Hardware Detection, Wave Driver, MIDI Driver, DirectSound Driver, DirectSound3D Driver, but not on Mixer Driver, SoundFont Setting and Mixer Settings Check. After I run WMP, the only test that will pass is the Hardware Detection.
I have also tried this with the October 2002 driver set for SoundBlaster. In addition, I have downloaded the most recent driver set from Creative Labs.
I'm running Windows XP SP2.
Other programs like iTunes and various games work after I reinstall the drivers, but will not work after WMP starts. It appears that WMP is the source of the problem. Any suggestions?

Make sure you have the DRM update for the Li've drivers. I suspect WMP is cutting out the sound. Just to make sure that this is in fact the case, you could try playing back your clip with some other media player.

Strange problem with 2 different Soundblaster car

I have a very strange problem with these 2 cards First i had soundblaster li've value which was installed with the default windows drivers. Although it'swas installed correctly in device manager, i hear no sound and when i go to control panel->sounds and audio devices, under the volume tab there?was no audio device and everything?was greyed. But when i restart or shutdown the pc the windows sound suitable for this action played without problems. Media player couldn't play any sound, neither youtube. I downloaded and installed the Li'veDrvUni-Pack(ENG). Everything worked ok but after a while i had the same problem. So i decided to buy a different sound card, the Li've Audigy SE. Installed, worked fine, but after a short period of time i have the same problem. Most of the times when i boot into Windows the sound is ok, after a while (5 minutes or hour) i hear no sound and in the control panel i see the no audio device message although in control panel the card appears to be installed correctly. Any ideas?

For example, how can I ask 2 keyboards about each one's NumLock state ?
I know about getLockingKeyState() function, but it always returns the NumState of the regular keyboard. How can I know and/or change the NumLock state of the small one ?

As the Commenct says i got problems with my microphone, When i installed the newest drivers it just stopt working after a while, first it workt but after like 2-3 days it stopt working i wounder what i can be if you have some ide? about what i can be please tell me.

-the speakers make 'plop' sounds
-the software 'startup centre', 'configuration' etc. give this message (translated from Dutch): "There are no compatible audiodevices found. Please close the program."
I have this poblems using a 64bit Vista, and not on a 32bit Vista (other machine).

unfortunately a lot of people have the same problem.

but for now there is no solution.
The only way to get the product working with "realtime" sound is to install the Vista driver from 2006, but with that one you have only stereo sound and the creative applications will not detect the product.
As I understand it, the delay can only be a driver issue.

Recording problem with SoundBlaster X

Hello everyone,
I am running a X-FI sound card which is on my motherboard (MSI P6N Platinium).
I always had MSI boards with integrated soundblaster cards, and I used to plug my guitar directly in the microphone input and record.
Since I got this new board with the X-FI card, I have latency when I play my guitar. The sound has around half a second delay before it gets to the speakers.
I never had such a problem with my other motherboards/soundblasters.
I tried with the front panel mic, and also with the back panel one. The problem with the back panel is that when I plug my guitar in, it doesn't allow me to output to the normal 5. speakers, I have just the option to should Digital output...
Does anyone have an idea on something I should look for in the setup?

Problem with soundblaster ZXR please help

Hi, yesterday I bought a ZXR . I downloaded the lastest driver 1.00.22 and tried to install it in my pc which runs windows 8.1. I use spdif port ( and I select it from the sound panel of pc) and I use 5.1 channel setup. My problem is that , when I choose DTS or Dolby from the SB control panel there is sound comming from from the test video in the SB control panel but when I want to play a music via media player I get this message "Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device..." or something like the sound device is busy in another application. To solve this problem I have to choose speaker option in the system sound menu. This way the sound comes from the speakers when I play media player but the MASTER VOLUME control does not work at all. I have already disabled and unistalled the system onboard sound device. What should I do?

Serious Problem With my Cretive Zen Microph

I try to remove and reinstert the battery,i lunch the recovery mode,i click on "format All" but the player seems to block.At the same way if i click on clean-up,reboot,reloaded firmware. There isn't a button to reset completely the player how in the creative zen v plus?

Problem with my microph

I have an old microcomputer running with windows 98 and the Sound Blaster Discorevy CD 8x ( produdt MK440). We have the same problem with our MicroPhoto...it won't turn on, it won't charge, the computer doesn't detect it. How can we do anything if we can't get a screen at all? Creative suggests the reformat tool, but we can't do anything without a screen. I would appreciate some tech support from Creative but it looks as though you can't get that unless you are still under warranty. Our Zen is almost 2 years old, so it is out of warranty...and we're out of luck? Anybody have a suggestion? Thanks for any help.

Numerous problems with my 1 week old Zen MicroPh

Just bought a ZMP direct from the Creative website and its already malfunctioning.
Wont charge properly and is getting extremely hot when charging (is it normal for it to get hot when charging?).</LI>
Headphone jack gone already, right earphone crackling and static.</LI>
When docked in the PC it freezes when i un-dock it.</LI>
Have managed to charge it up until it registered full, next time i went to it, battery was empty.</LI>
Have e-mailed Creative 2 days ago and had no response. Is it normal that it takes them a while to answer? Somebody please let me know.

Firstly, many thanks for your speedy reply.
I am in England. I did get an automated response but it said I should most probably here within a day. If it takes a little longer, that's fine, i just wanted to see on average how long people get a response. As you can imagine, im very dissapointed that im having problems with my unit so early after recieving it, especially after raving about it for the first couple of days when it was working ok.
I shall wait for the support teams e-mail over the next couple of days and hope it will be resolved with me recieving a brand new unit to componsate me for my troubles. I really don't expect to have the same one repaired when i've had so many immediate problems with it.

Problems with KT4V and AtiRadeon 9700 Pro...

I have lots of problems with my current configuration with games (lock ups) and even in normal use. Also I'm not able to run 3DMark through to see with kind of results would I get. Car chase (high) gets very low fps and the nature test doesn't even work. I have tried different 4in1 drivers and BIOS versions. With 1.6 BIOS version I had lots of CRC errors (should be corrected in BIOS ver. 1.7 but in expense of data rate?). Does anyone have any suggestions so that I could for example go through the 3DMark even with the expense of performance?
I had those game lock up problems also earlier with KT7A-100 RAID + AtiRadeon 64 (3DMark worked) so I bought new graphic card (didn't help) and after that I bought the new mobo. I know my config is not the best in the world, but I think it should be enough to give some happy moments in ever so demanding games... for a while...
There is also one thing that is quite strange. In my display adapters there is two drivers for AtiRadeon (primary in AGP and secondary in PCI)? I'm not expert, but isn't that weird? I have tried installing different drivers again and again (also reinstalled OS) with no luck! Trying to delete the secondary one doesn't help...

the 9700 is the most powerfull vga to date and needs power evan more than a gf4 4600
i would lbe looking at some think like an antec true powe 430 watt psu not a basic 300 watter
with ati,s own cards you need revision 1.3 as well best i can recall,but yours is an oem so im not sure
a search for 9700 in this section will get you lots of threads
